Raven sighed then took out a silver necklace from her pocket and fiddled around with it, she should have been wearing it but she wasn't feeling like it. She moved her brown hair over her shoulder then fiddled around with her rings again, it seemed whenever she was bored, she played around with her rings.

"Well, its only cause my parents really didn't pay much attention to me, I was the one who had to raise herself for as long as I can remember so I don't know what its really like to be comforted by someone else." she admitted then sighed slightly.

Her eyes widened slightly when Raven pulled out this BEAUUUUTIFUL silver necklace. There was something that everybody had to understand about Miss Olivia Zhang. She had the brain of a GENIUS, but her maturity level was at a low. She was pretty much a five-year-old at times and sometimes a fifty-year-old. At this very moment, Livvy switched gears and turned into a five-year-old and she wanted to touch the "shiny thing".

"Oooh... how pretty. Where'd you get it?" she asked, smiling cheekily at Raven. Possessions always had a story behind them.

Livvy looked at Raven sympathetically and nodded her head. "I see. I understand that feeling." And she wasn't just saying it. There was some pretty cruddy stuff about her life that she hadn't even told Rachel. Her BEST FRIEND! "But why was it that your parents didn't really pay much attention to you?"

Raven chuckled at Livvy's fascination of her necklace, she kept spinning it around so that it shined more in the light. "Oh I got this from my first boyfriend when I was 12, I've kept it just as a memory of a relationship that didn't necessarly end well." she said then offered it to Livvy in case she wanted a closer look at it.

"Probably because they were too busy with their own lives to notice I was even around, I became this brilliant, talented potion maker and my parents didn't even know that I was a witch." she said then sighed slightly.

Oh. That eeeevil girl. Playing around with her. Livvy giggled delightedly as she watched the silver necklace being spun around in circles, with much admiration. How much she wished she had a necklace to keep memory of. (HINT, HINT. Christmas present idea for stalkers.) Although the one Raven reminded herself of wasn't quite a particularly cheerful one, Livvy still wished to have one herself. Her own unique necklace or pendant.

"Mmm. I wish I had something like that to remind me of my memories. Even if the memory wasn't exactly a fond one," she said, shrugging aside her long black locks of hair.

Wow. That was just. Wow. How uninvolved were her parents. Like REALLY. To the amount where they didn't even notice anything about their own child that they saw every day and that lived under the same roof as they did. "That stinks. I guess I had it better. Never even knew my parents. No disappointment in that area."

Raven had a flashback to when her boyfriend at the time Jacob, gave her the necklace, that was a good day but she never expected what would happen a few weeks later, that was totally a blindside to her.

"Well, I guess that is better. I wonder if my parents would know if I never come home again, they probably wouldn't actually." she said then shrugged, looking down at the ground and tracing her finger along the floor.

Ellie ran down at full speed to the suits of armour. She took a moment to catch her breath, then strolled along the hallway. She waited for her friend Alexandra to catch up with her. She thought the Gryffindor girl was right behind her, but evidently the farm girl had more speed than she gave herself credit for.

She walked and gingerly touched the metal on all the suits of armour. She starting flicking the chests, smiling as the sounds echoed within the suit. She also tested to see how the joints bended. A good photograph would require them to be very responsive. Ellie already had a few humorous positions for the statues in mind. "If only I had Mum's pink apron..." she mumbled aloud, inspecting one of the statues.

Alexandra ran after Eillie and finally caught up to her as she was was talking about a pink apron. "Well, I have a pink hat." she said as she pulled out her pink wool cap. "We could it on one of the suits and take a picture of it." she suggested as she ran forward and place it atop one of them.

Ellie turned her head to see Alexandra bounding into the hall. "Thought I'd lost you back there. I was about to get a search party!" she teased, walking towards the Gryffindor.

She stood back as Alexandra placed the cap on the armour. She rubbed her chin as she thought about what was missing from this masterpiece. Pacing back and forth, she tried to imagine an appropriate pose to go with such a hat. After a minute, she approached the suit of armour and started bending the joints.

The stiff metal squeaked as the Ravenclaw molded it to fit her liking. She stepped back, revealing the suit of armour in a disco-dance pose, left arm extended with the index finger pointed in the air. It was the way her father insisted on dancing at every family gathering.

Ellie collapsed to the floor in a fit of giggles. It took several minutes to get the laughter out of her system and collect herself. She reached for her camera and snapped a photograph, the flash lighting up the hallway.

Turning back to Alexandra, she encouraged her to play around. "Alright, I've had my fun, now it's your turn." She stepped back, indicating that the room was Alexandra's to photograph. "I hope these muggle things take colour pictures," she wondered aloud. "D'ya know much about muggles, Alexandra?" she asked frankly, hopping onto a window ledge to sit down.

Alexandra moved to the suits of armor and started arranging one of them like it was doing the robot. Laughing loudly she stepped back and looked to Ellie. "How's that one?"

She snapped a picture and giggled some more. "I know a bit. I am a half blood. So I spent time with muggle relatives occasionally. Why do you ask?

Jack wandered along the corridor, humming to himself quietly when suddenly, he heard a creaking noise come from behind him. From one of the suits of armour.

Blink blink.

He turned, eyeing up the suits while wrinkling his eyebrows. "Nooooooo you're not gonna trip me today!" he told them, moving onward confidently with his hands crossed across his chest. Just as he was almost out of the corridor, he heard them move again.

He turned on his heel and looked around. THEY WOULD NOT TRIP HIM TODAY! No sirrrrrr!

torn was carrying a special present in his hands. Yep. It was Jacks special Pumpkin King doll. The one that he had to get when he saw it in the store. It was just so perfect for the Quidditch Captain that he had had to have bought it.

But the only question was where was the boy? He always seemed to move around so it was hard to figure one place for him to be.

And then he heard him speaking to the suits of armor. "Jack," he called out to him as he got close enough to the boy to see his retreating back.

ZOMG THEY COULD TALK TO HIM NOWWW! And...they knew his name! And sounded an awfullllll lot like Torin. How weird!

"NOOOOOO I already TOLD you you can't trip me!" he exclaimed, turning around and making one of those karate chopping motions with his hands as he did so. He stopped abruptly however when he saw that it was, indeed, Torin. Not just a Torin-sounding suit of armour.

"Oh. Torin! I erm...nevermind, not important," he told him, blushing slightly as he did so. "What's up? I haven't seen you since me and Reese...erm, nevermind. Again. How have you beeeeen?"

"Huh?" he called out confused as Jack turned on him and started doing karate moves.

"What on earth are you talking about?" he asked with confusion etched on his face as he watched the boy blush. But it was okay, he could look past all this. He needed to give Jack his present.

"I have something for you," he said as he held the gift up in it's nice orange coloured bag. The Pumpkin King had to have an orange gift bag.

Ellie stood in the windowsill, leaning against the frigid glass. "It looks marvellous!" she laughed, encouraging her friend. "Go ahead, snap a picture."

She shouldn't have been surprised to learn that Alexandra had some expose to the muggle world. It seemed that Ellie was rare with no knowledge of muggles. "I was jus' wondering. I have no muggles in me family. I think I might have a cousin who's a squib, but we don't talk about that much."

She hopped down, feeling a bit dense. "Everything about muggles just seems so foreign, but everyone here knows so much. This must be what muggleborns feel like comin' here," she reasoned, opening one of the helmets of the statues.

Alexandra pulls out her camera and Flash takes a pic. Smiling to herself at her handiwork she turns back to Ellie and says, "I am actually a bit surprised at how many of us know about Muggle stuff as well. It seems a bit odd! There are so many half- bloods." She shrugged and continued, "I suppose you are right about the Muggle- borns. THey must be a bit shocked when they arrive here straight from the muggle world. I know I would be."

"Nothing I just...thought the suits of armour were trying to trip me again. They tend to do that to me a lot," Jack explained. Stupid suits of armour, making him look dumb in front of his peers...it was all part of their plan to humiliate him sooo much that he would have to leave Hogwarts. HE WAS ON TO THEM!

"You do?" Jack asked with a grin. He had gotten Torin a present but he had not been expecting HIM to get him something in return. No one ever thought about Jack when it came to gift giving! Well, except for maybe Reese. And his parents. Everyone else seemed to forget, though.

He opened the bag and pulled out...OH SWEET MERLIN THAT WAS A SCARY LOOKING DOLL! EEK! What was Torin trying to do, scare the living daylights out of him?!? "Erm...thankssssssss but...what is it?" Jack asked. Who in their right mind gave a skeleton doll to people? Honestly!

Jack had been completely oblivious to the fact that his NAME was etched across the wrapping on the box. He was too scared to notice.

"They trip people?" He had known this. They never bothered him at all. He actually liked the suits of armor. They were interesting.

But he was distracted by these thoughts by Jacks reaction to his present. Or more rather overreaction. "See, it's Jack the Pumpkin King from The Nightmare Before Christmas." He pointed at the name of the doll on the box. "He made me think of you."

Too bad he didn't seem to like the gift much.

Ellie nodded her head in agreement. "And what if yer parents didn't know anything!" she breathed, unable to conceive of her parents handling such a shock very well. "I dunno 'bout you, but I'm happy I knew this all from the beginning. I s'pose learning a few things 'bout muggles for one lesson is better than having to understand a whole new society."

With that, she considered herself very fortunate to have knowledge of wizards, even if it meant she had more difficulty in Muggle Studies. "Learning muggle things wouldn't hurt, I mean me dad does business with 'em, so it's practical..." she mused, not wanting to delve into her family's somewhat shady business involving the sale of magically enhanced vegetables. "So, what do your mum and dad do?" Ellie inquired, eager to shift the focus back to the Gryffindor.

NIGHTMARE? Oh sweet Merlin. WHAT WAS THAT?! Well, at least the thing's name kind of explained WHY he had gotten him it...it's name was Jack. He picked it up and examined it again--after the initial fright, it really wasn't that scary. He was kind of cool looking actually. AND he was really tall with lanky limbs. How appropriate!

"What's the Nightmare Before Christmas? Sounds morbid," he said with a grin. "He's actually pretty cool looking...thanks!" he said, looking at the doll again. He could get used to this thing, no problem.

"It's an old Muggle movie," he explained. "It's about a Pumpkin named Jack that tries to take over Christmas." That was the easiest way for him to explain it without confusing the boy. "You're welcome. I take it that means you like it?"

Alexandra listened intently to the girl and shook her head in agreement, "I cannot imagine the shock the parents go through." she said quite thoughtfully.

"Well, to be honest me mum and dad don't work per se. They inherited a modest amount of money and it has served them well. Me mum teaches some of the children Muggle stuff if the parents bring them around." she said with a shrug. SHe was blushing slightly. Alexandra didn't like to flaunt the fact that her family was well off. She was like the other kids, the money meant nothing.

Ahhhh, okies. That made a lot more sense...Jack didn't know movies. Coming from a pureblood family, he didn't really get exposed to that stuff very much. Except in school and stuff. He looked at the doll again and nodded. "Oooooooh, really? That sounds interesting!" he said. Take over Christmas? What a mammoth feat!

"I DO like it, it's really cool looking!" he said, putting the doll safely into his bag. "I have a present for you too!" he added with a grin.

Lyddia walked through the halls, trying to think of things to capture on film. Her homework was due tomorrow and she needed two more pictures. She passed the suits of armor and then took a double take and stepped back to stand in front of them.

She grinned and stood beside one of the suits of armor. She held out the camera in front of her and put her arm around the suit of armor, her other hand pointing at it and her mouth was open in a comical manner.

She took the picture and smiled, walking away to find something else.

He assumed that Jack was a Pureblood judging by the look on his face; it was the same one that Sylvia and Brody had given him when he tried to explain this subject to them. These poor Purebloods were really missing out on something amazing. At least the Half-Bloods got a bit of both worlds in a way. "You really need to watch it. It's an awesome movie."

"You got me something too?" For some reason he had never really thought of Jack getting him anything. He just had been wondering if Jack the Pumpkin King would be a hit.

Jack tapped the wrapping of the doll's box. "You know, now that I think about it, I think I've seen this dude on other stuff before. Like, sweatshirts and stuff. He really must be a hit in the muggle world!" he exclaimed with a grin. Hehe. Jack was COOOOOOL!

"Yup!" he said with a head nodd, rummaging around in his bag for the present. Reese had told him that she was getting him a scarf, so he figured he'd give him some gloves, so then his hands AND his neck wouldn't be cold. Plus, it was something small and simple, which was good cause he didn't know Torin TOO well at the moment. He also wouldn't tell him that he was VERY tempted to buy him a makeup kit...as far as he knew, Torin didn't know about the lipstick incident and Jack wasn't ready to tell him about it JUST yet.
