Even helping Gryffindors? Fyo frowned slightly - she made it sound like Gryffindors were people most others would.... not want to help. Oh well. He shrugged inwardly, collected his belongings, and made his way over to the side that was reserved for the Transfiguration homework.

Life hadn't been so good, lately.

Mina looked up from parchment. She hadn't realized how much work she had til that moment. She had her mind set on writing that essay for her chance at the tickets, but her school work did come first. Maybe if she was lucky, one of her family would have gotten tickets already. She was overly hopefully about it, even though she had the sneaking feeling no one in her family would have purchased tickets with plans of taking her.

Placing her finished parchment in its rightful place, she grabbed another textbook and more parchment. One down and so much more to do. Muggle Studies, Arithmancy, Divination, and DADA. So much to do and once again she saw herself cooped up in the library getting it all done.

Taking a deep breath, she opened her book and went to work. The sooner she started, the sooner she would be done.

Ancient Runes - check. Transfiguration - check. Muggle Studies - check. Defense Against the Dark Arts --- not even STARTED yet.

Fyo sighed to himself as he shuffled his belongings a little, stood up from the Transfiguration side of the table, and moved over into a more... comfortable position. He wanted to do Arithmancy first, but that would be a happy, little thing, so it could wait. More pressing tasks first, please. Le sigh for so much work. LEEEEE siiiiiiiigggh.

LouAnn sighed and slowly picked up her quill. She felt as if she'd been working for hours and hours even though she knew she hadn't been here that long. At least she had everything done but...hmm...Arithmancy, Muggle Studies, and Potions. Ugh. That sounded like so much work when it was really only three subjects worth of material.

At least finals would be starting soon. Although finals and NEWTs were pretty much dreaded by most students, LouAnn happened to like them. They meant the end of school, which in turn meant summer break. Homework had to be done first, though. With another sigh, LouAnn flipped open her Arithmancy textbook, grabbed a fresh sheet of parchment, and set to work.

Fyo looked up from his textbook, because he was pretty sure he had seen the page of an Arithmancy textbook flash open. The page of an ARITHMANCY textbook! How cool was that?

He saw that the owner of the book was LouAnn, and that she looked a little tired. He had felt the same, a moment or two ago. But now he felt better than the winds. "Need any help with that?" he asked her, cheerfully. Arithmancy was... his thing. Always had been.

ooc: let's just say she had a prolonged loo visit. Yeah? Yeah.

Returning to the library with a broken quill in her fuzzy blond hair, Winnie picked up an undamaged quill and checked her parchment. "How's everyone doooiin'?" she said. "You know, for some reason I want my Muggle Studies poem to be more song-like. With clapping in it. Like 'if you're happy and you know it'." She tried it out. "If you're a Marine and you know it, tie your shoes..."

Celandine looked up solemnly.

*Clap Clap*

She went back to her homework.

Winnie grinned broadly. "Thanks, Cela! IT WORKS!!"

"If you're a Muggle and you know it..." She paused and chewed her lip. "Velcro your shoes."

"I love Velcro."

"I'm good," Fyo said, looking up at Winnie. That was the Gryffindor prefect, right? He hadn't seen her around often, but chances were, she was a friendly person. She looked that, at least. REALLY looked it.

He grinned when she mentioned her idea for the poem, out loud. That sounded ... well, not original, but definitely fun. "If you're a cleat and you know it, you're probably part of a shoe?" he joked, before returning to his own homework. Which had, finally, thinned considerably.

THANK Heavens, for that.

LouAnn glanced up from textbook and gave Fyo a friendly smile. "Not unless you want to do the homework for me," she jokingly answered. While LouAnn wasn't exactly great at anything, she was fairly sure she could do her Arithmancy calculations. "I'm only joking, of course. Thanks Fyo, but I'm pretty confident I have this one. Those two Potions essays, though, just might do me in."

She gave Fyo a bewildered look then turned back to her textbook. That was when she heard the sound of someone clapping twice. Hmm? Maybe someone had just finished a really tough homework assignment and felt the need to cheer about it? Glancing around, though, she took notice of Winnie and heard what she was saying. She laughed softly then clapped a couple of times.

*clap clap*

Alex entered the study area and looked around, she had never really been in the Library, mostly because Veela's don't study.. but..She tossed her hair over her shoulder and settled into a comfy chair to wait for Torin. She looked around at the other people who were studying and she couldn't help but smile.. Ahh.. she was glad she did not have to do that!

There she was.

He could recognize her hair as he walked towards the chair from behind and saw her pretty blonde locks. But she didn't see him and she didn't know what he had got her. She would love it though.

He quietly walked up behind her and then when he reached the chair, he reached over and gave her a hug from behind.

Alex was sitting watching the people study when suddenly.. There were arms hugging her. She blinked, this wasn't a normal occurrence for her..She turned around and smiled, knowing that only one person would be doing that to her. Ahhh.. Torin. A smile lit up her face. He made all bad thoughts disappear from her head.

"Hi!" She said as she rose from her chair and hugged him back properly.. "How are you?" She asked as she kissed his cheek.

He smiled as she kissed his cheek. He was happy to see her even though he had only seen her not too long before. But he had still been worried about her after she had said that she had broke someone's heart.

"I'm great. How are you, my beautiful Southern gal?"

He wondered how she would like her gift as he moved from the back of the chair and then placed himself beside her.

Alex smiled up at Torin. "I am doing good.." Confused as all get out, but good.. Her mind was still a whirl of thought, but he made it easier to think. How could she think of other guys when he was around?

"I missed you.." She said softly as she snuggled next to him, as he sat down beside her. She really had. He made everything so much clearer. "How was your party? Sorry I left early but.." She trailed off.

He was relieved that she was feeling better. He had been a bit worried about her. But she definitely seemed to be okay to him as she started snuggling with her. He put his arm around her and squeezed her.

And then she mentioned the party. He wasn't going to tell her that he was a little hurt at first. But he did understand that she might have felt upset that Brody was there. Okay, not just might.. "It's okay. I understand. I shouldn't have let Brody come over to where you were if it's still awkward for you." Even though it wasn't Brody's fault either. The Hufflepuff had meant nothing bad and was only trying to be friendly.

Alex was glad to see Torin was okay, she had heard some things on Twitter about Brody and her feelings, and she was glad he seemed to be taking everything that had been happening okay.

She smiled up at him, leaving probably wasn't the best idea, but she did not know what else to do. She had felt like a dear in the headlights. "Well it wasn't her fault really, just the whole situation was slightly awkward. You and all your friends, and I barely know Reese, the only other person I knew there was Warren.." She sighed a bit. "Brody was being perfectly nice, as was I. It was all just a little.. overwhelming." She finished.

He squeezed her hand.

"I get that. I've felt that way at parties too. And I'm sure that you will get to know them better. They are really nice. They will really like you and I'm not just saying that." Who wouldn't like her? She was a sweet girl. He listened to her as she then went on about Brody. "I talked to her about that. And she gets it." Well, it was sorta true as far as he knew. He wasn't sure if he wanted to add that she had told him she wouldn't try to steal him from Alex.

Alex turned to look at Torin as he spoke, "Yeah, I guess I have never really been the "party" girl. Yes being a Veela that seems strange but.." She had never wanted the spotlight, nor had she wanted to be the center of attention.. It just happened sometimes.. She had like some magnetic pull on guys at time.

"I know Reese likes me, she told me so. So all I have to do is get Tammy and Shanna to approve, and I will be all set." She said softly. "All the ones I have met, are really nice." She smiled a bit. "Well I am glad she gets it, I am sure she probably felt a little awkward too?" She was guessing, she wasn't sure.

He got that. Made sense as she seemed so shy at times. One of the things that he liked about her. "Well, I'm a party person. You wouldn't believe some of the things that I've done." He smirked at her. She might not like some of his stories though, so he wasn't sure if he wanted to tell her all that. But if she liked it then he would gladly.

"She did? Well, I'm glad of that." He felt warmly towards that Slytherin right now. It was good to have her approval at last after she hated Brody. "Tammy would probably approve. Shana... Well, she might be difficult. But she still likes you more than Brody. It's just in her nature. She isn't very tactful." There was the time that she had written him an apology where she called him an idiot. And then when that hadn't worked she threw the next one she wrote at his head. "She felt awkward but she just wants us to all be friends. She's actually nice despite the icy exterior she puts on."

Keeley walked over to the study table, and plopped down at a table by herself. As usual. Wow, a whole year at this school and she had barely made three friends. And one enemy, but that was another story. Well, exams were coming and Keeley needed to study. Well, she was obviously fine with Transfiguration, being a metamorphagus, but her astronomy needed a LOT of work. She looked around for someone to study with, but she hated introductions. So, she pulled out her star charts and started studying. And doodling of course.

Mina glanced up from her scattered textbooks. She had a least three of them opened up as she jumped from text to text, writing down notes here and there. A small case of nerves had taken a home in her stomach, but she keep at her work. So little time and so much she still had to do. Blowing a strain of hair away from her face, she noticed Keeley at a table by herself. Raising her hand in a small wave, she whispered. "Hey Keeley, whatcha studying?"

Alex smiled a little, she could tell Torin was a party person.. Maybe she would learn to love it? She doubted that.. but.. Well... They would see wouldn't they? "Really Mr Kane? Would you care to enlighten me about them?" She asked arching a perfect brow.

"Yes she did, it was nice talking to her. I really like her alot." She said softly, It wasn't often girls liked her. She listened more as he spoke and she sighed a bit. Tammy was going to be an obstacle, as was Shanna. "Well I will have more time to get to know them during the Greece trip right?" She asked him. Sighing a bit more as he talked about Brody. "Well, hopefully we can all be friends." She said softly.

He smirked at her. Of course she wanted to know. But he wasn't just going to tell her anything. That wouldn't have been fun for him. "Are you sure you want to know?" he asked in a tone that said he wondered if she could handle what he had to tell her. He liked messing with her at times.

"Yeah, she's great when she isn't being totally evil to me." He couldn't count how many times she had been. There was her telling Bunbury about his crush on her. And then there was the time that she had put lipstick on him while he was asleep. "You will have more time to get to know Tammy then, yes," he ageed. "Shana's not coming to Greece." Personally, he thought that Tammy would like her fine after she got to know her. "Yes, it would be great if everyone got along for once," he added vaguely.

Alex lifted an eyebrow again at her boyfriend. "Yes I am sure I want to know! Please tell me!" She said shaking her head a bit. She decided she would poke him until he told her, so she moved her hands until they were poised in front of his stomach, "Tell me, or I shall tickle you.." She said an evil grin on her face.

Alex shook her head. "You two really do fight like brother and sister." She said with a laugh. "She isn't coming? Hmm I thought she was." She shrugged, well that would be easier than. "Got along for once? Don't tell me, Brody did not get along with everyone?" She sighed.
