Evelyn was still skeptical of this...tellyvition...but decided not to comment on it anymore. Instead, she took her time to stare at the Head Girl's head until she realized that someone called her, but she was listening to everyone's conversation at the same time. Her ear caught a little snippet from the ravenclaw girl she had seen around and talked to before. 'Professors missing their wands?' she thought curiously, looking over at the group that that particular conversation was coming from. 'I heard somewhere that the nurse lost her wand too...that's strange.' Turning to Destiny, she whispered to her. "Did you hear about the professors losing their wands?" Evelyn asked, glancing around to everybody as if this was some top secret conversation, still waiting on the Head Girl. 'Maybe we should just leave like those spy people Destiny was talking about...' |

Private program? No. It wasn't even program at all, but more just an idea to help study for the NEWTs. "Nooo..." The Head Boy replied slowly, looking from the Ravenclaw and back to Abigail. "Just another method to help get high marks on our examinations. Come along with us to Svennson's, if you will." Dom encouraged his housemate. The more people involved, the better chances to success, right? And Abigail Winters was pretty smart and a seventh year. Quote:
"The session is going well," Dominic nodded to the librarian, as he rose in his chair. "And just about wrapping up too. I reckon a little rest from the words would be good before dinner." He told her, as he turned back towards everyone else, noting once again the people who were working and then those who seemed a bit chatty. *** Clearing his throat to grab everyone's attention, Dominic raised his voice level just a bit. "I want to thank you all for joining us in our first interhouse study session, but unfortunately this area is needed. You are welcome to continue to study in other areas of the library, but I advise you all to take short breathers for increased comprehension. Again, thank you for attending and I hope you'll be present for the next one, as well as encouraging your friends to attend..." And with that, the Head Boy quickly slipped his things into his bag and nodded towards Abby and then Copernicus. They had a Professor to meet with, :shifty: |
Study Session 2 Rachel walked towards the corner where she and Tamzin Wood would be co-holding the study session. Her bag, which was THIS close to bursting, lay lightly on her back (feather-light charms were the best) and she moved as slowly as she could since she was ridiculously early - as usual. Reaching the study session selected area, she began pulling out her own homework and took to browsing the library for necessary books that people might need. Piling them all neatly on a central table, the sixth year sighed and sat down in a random chair, waiting impatiently for Tamzin to arrive. The very fact that the two had to work together annoyed her - there was no love lost between them - but if Evolette and Dominic could do it, she and Wood definitely could. ... Although in order for this work, Wood needed to actually show up. Checking the time, Rachel noted that students should be arriving by now. Ahh well - she could handle the first batch, right? And Livvy and Reid better come soon too - otherwise she might just flee the place. She had ruled out teaching kids for a career a long time ago. |
Tammy gave the tiniest curl of her lips upwards in Rachels direction, it could have been taken as a smile -it was certainly intended as pat of one. "Rachel." She greeted her quickly, setting down her bag, containing her hairbrush, and a spare pair of shoes. Because if Dominic decided to show, obviously the black and yellow pair, would probably cause him to have a heart attack. Looking around quickly, Tammy nodded. RRRIGHT. The awkwardness of having to do this with Rachel was hard enough, let alone the fact everyone was going to be taller than her. AND people scared her. GREAT. Maybe just maybe, no-one would show up and she and Rachel would just have to sit there and wait for nothing, in silence preferably. |
STUDY SESSIONS WERE WIN! Celandine was obviously totally eager and excited as she bounced into the library, took a seat riiiiight in front of the two prefects, offered each of them a thumbs up and proceeded to unpack her bag, unshrinking a few of her books and opening them eagerly. |
Wandering into the library, Brody had actually considered coming to the study session, seeing as Torin was studying a lot, she had thought she better have had a little go. She headed over to the area where there were three students, one of them being that Tamzin girl. Oh brilliant. "Hey Guys." She spoke, as she smiled at Celadine, and some other ravenclaw girl, before taking a seat. Yey for studying? |
Tammy nodded slightly, at the entrance of two other people, and smiled in their direction. Was it bad, that the butterflies were hitting her now. Brody was scary, so it seemed she was the source of these butterflies, and flippy stomach. Looking around quickly, there were not buckets to be sick in, so that was out of the question. So she took a seat, and moved her bag onto the floor, under her seat and watched.. Waiting for others to turn up. Someone she could rely on not giving her butterflies. |
Even though Dominic generally didn't study with others, as Head Boy, he ought to turn up and support his fellow prefects as they lead through another study session. Besides, seventh year was a big year, which studying - cue lip curl - generally was advised. If he wanted to finish out with good marks, which he did. Making his way towards the study area, the seventeen year old couldn't help but feel the smallest twinge of a smile on his lips as he saw Tamzin's shoes. Very Hufflepuff-like; minus the heels, the Badger pride they showed definitely overlooked any problems they ordinarily would have caused. He even was so tempted as to compliment her shoes, a rare occurrence INDEED! Maybe it would lessen her nervousness that seemed to be overcoming her? Swallowing and biting his lower lip lightly, he approached and in a VERY quiet tone (because complimenting shoes was EMBARRASSING!), "Nice badger pride there, Prefect Wood," Dom said seriously, as he tossed a quick wink and then strode over to sit with Cel-an-dine. Who seemed FAR too enthusiastic about studying for her own good. Silly overachiever Ravenclaw, he decided as he gave her a brief smile and then proceeded to pull his Runes/Arithmancy homework from his bag. He wasn't supposed to be taking Runes, but apparently the Professors thought it'd be good to have a joint session between one of his best classes with one his worst . . . |
Okay, so she didn't have to change these shoes of hers. Nice to know, because the others were pretty in your face PINK! So either way, DomERELLA would have been simply annoyed. BUTTT! He agreed! He COMPLIMENTED her shoes. Grinning slightly, just off a cheshire cat grin, Tammy nodded and proceeded to look down at her shoes grinning. It seemed yellow shoes, were the way to get past his evil downturn on heels. Not that she was gonna listen if he told her she couldn't wear them. She felt small enough. |
"Tamzin," Rachel replied just as cordially, sparing the Hufflepuff a second-long glance before returning to the fascinating pastime of staring at the wood patterns on the table. It's no joke - those things are REALLY intricate. Looking up as the sixth year heard footsteps, Rachel saw that students were beginning to arrive. Sighing once again, she stood up and fidgeted with the hem of her shirt as she waited for them to come closer. Grinning with relief as she saw that the first person was Celandine, she waved at the girl before looking past her at the rest of the short line. Hmm... A huffie girl whom the sixth year didn't know but apparently Tamzin did as she reacted weirdly at the sight of her. Rachel's eyebrows rose slightly and she decided that she liked this girl - whoever she was. "Why, hello to you too, Dominic," she nodded towards the really rude Head Boy who hadn't greeted her properly. Since when was Dominic Denton rude? Odd. Aaaaand that was it. For now, she hoped, because they couldn't run a study session with - she counted in her head quickly - only five people. That just wouldn't do. "Hey guys - we're going to wait for a bit before starting to allow other students to arrive," she adressed the small group present, a little irked that there were more Hufflepuffs than Ravenclaws - what happened to all her studious Eagles? |
No better place to study but the library right? Eva Longwood thought so. Plus, she was fairly sure she would find there the two people she nbeeded to talk to. This time, she came in peace. For a start, she did need to talk to a Prefect - Rachel - and had a message for the Ravenclaw girl to read. Second, she had to see Tamzin, since she hadn't talked to her since that day with Helios... When she had fainted in front of them. "Good morning, everybody." she greeted all the students already there. "Tamzin. Rachel. Nice to see you both. Together." she hadn't been able to resist to the sarcasm. She knew she shouldn't, but still... She palced down her notebooks on the table but didn't sit down yet, to watch the reactions. She was sure none of teh girls had expected her to be there. Yet, she was also interested on studying.. Amogst other things. "I need to talk to you later. In private." she approached Rachel Rider slowly, speaking in a low voice. "There a few couple of things that should interest you. And there is one that should be in your Uncle's interest. I'll let you decide that." she paused to look into Rachel's eyes. "I'm just asking for you to listen. What can you possibly have to lose?" she quickly took a few steps back, giving Rachel enough space to analyse what she had just said and decide what to do. Then, she headed torwards the other girl she had unfinished business with. "How are you doing since I last fainted?" she asked with a slight point of humour on her voice. |
Quote:
OH. It seemed Eva must have been on talking terms with Rachel, her being the first person that got a proper piece of conversation out of Tam's ex-best friend. Giving a smile, at the others still seated, Tammy looked away from the other prefect and Eva. Not even wanting to hear or see any conversation shared between them. And then Eva approached her. Odd. "Well.. I've been okay. And you?" Okay, well it wasn't fun talking to her, but it seemed friendly. And Dom would probably eat her if she didn't seem nice. |
Eva smiled back. She was still a sarcatic person, but she didn't want to ned that year mad at anyone. She was there in peace, she reminded herself. "It's been cool." she replied in her usual relaxed ways, keep the small talk to that level. But not for too long. "Sorry about the fainting the other day. My head hit the floor pretty badly, so... I recall just few of the things I said." she looked at her with an accomplice look. "Please tell I was at least nicely usual... she asked, even though that was a big fat lie: she was confused about the happenning, but she could recall their every single word, which was the true reason why she said just the opposite. If she insisted that she was right - and she still thought she was - she could probably never get back in good terms with her ex-bestfriend. |
"You were awquard. But we both were. So I guess, we can both be forgiven." Tammy gave her a light smile, nodded politely to excuse herself from the conversation, and went towards her chair again and began fumbling about for something to keep her preoccupied. Like a rubiks cube maybe. |
Eva nodded and chose a place to sit down, relatively away from both Tammy and Rachel. She needed to focus on her Arithmancy problems, that seemed to be gettin harder by the lesson and she had to study much harder for Herbology, which she hated. Opening her favourite subject's notebook, she tried to work out some of the exercices the Hufflepuff's head of house had asked her students to solve. |
EEP! He really hoped that he wasn't late. He had totally lost track of time and was afraid that was was late for the session. He entered the library as fast as he could, giving Tammy a smile and a wave as he passed her talking to some girl that he didn't know. And what was Brody doing here? He didn't think that she was one for study sessions. But he was glad to see her. "Hey, Brody," he said as he took a seat beside her. He watched the two Prefects and waited for things to start. |
Wowowowow. Study sessions. Bleeeeech. Honestly, Livvy didn't feel like attending these stinky study sessions where they were going to 'work together!' It was a bummer. Buuuut... Rachel was one of those helper coordinator peeps... so she wanted to show her support and if it was necessary to show who was boss, Livvy was willing to help put on a show. And that meant begging for mercy. That sort. Livvy walked into the library and then made her way to where students had already gathered. She waved to Torin and headed towards Cela. She was about to take a seat next to Cela, but then remembered that Perni would want to sit next to her, and since Dominic was on the other side, Livvy sat two seats away from Cela. "Hey Cela. Hi Dominic," she said with a large smile. Then she noticed who were sitting in front of her. EEEEEEEEEEE!!!! RACHEL! Livvy grinned and waved her hand happily at her. |
Tavelon entered the library timidly. He had missed the first study session... and frankly he didn't even know what it was all about. But like so many other things that were new to him at Hogwarts, Tavelon figured it was best to try it out. "Erm... hi" he said, approaching the group. "Have you already started?" |
Eva raised her head from the notebook at the new arrivals. Some guy who seemed to know Tammy quite well, but the intimate smile and another firstie. "No, we haven't. I think our Prefects are waiting for more people to come." she informed the boy in a lower tone of voice - after al, they were in one of he favourite |

Dom rude? Always! xD Quote:
Shrugging it off though, as she proceeded to have a mini-quarrel with another Hufflepuff - whose name he sadly did not know - the seventh year scanned over his notes, trying to NOT listen to the "girl talk". He didn't know what it was, but he didn't WANT to know either. Quote:
This was a study session, yes? Oh right, wait for a more people to arrive, that was a good thing, he agreed as his eyes took in who was present already. A lot more Hufflepuffs than attended the first session; this was good. Perhaps his recent note in the Herald had some effect on their study habits? Hopefully, but only time would tell. "Oh hey, Rachel," Dominic finally greeted, choosing to ignore her moment of seemingly offended tone. "Sounds like a plan," he agreed about the waiting. Quote:
Quote:
THANK goodness for Cela though, who greeted the girl back with an excitable Liivvyy. "Hey Livvy," Dom greeted, not quite as large smile as the two Ravenclaw girls had. Just because THEY seemed to enjoy studying, didn't mean he did. Quote:
"Nope. Just waiting for more people to show up." And again, Dom had a lapse in recalling the young boy's name. Though he couldn't tie THIS lapse to a certain captain; it was instead due to newness. Which was probably lame, seeing as he was Head Boy, but oh well. Quote:
Oh, of COURSE this homework was what she was working on; and OF COURSE, she found it easy. Ugh; even though he generally liked her presence, he had to admit her confidence got to him sometimes. "Easy? I suppose. If you like Runes," he shrugged, because CLEARLY he did NOT like that subject. |
Copernicus hurried into the library and took the seat next to Celandine. Perhaps she'd been saving it for someone else, but... no. She wouldn't have been. He hooked his hand beneath her chair and tugged it closer to his. "Denton! How's it going? We still need to go visit Svenssen, don't we?" |
Quote:
What? She wasn't up to anything. There were no plots. None. Nope. "How is all your NEWT preparation going?" Celandine asked. It must be easier for him than for Cope since Dom didn't have to schedule girlfriend time or anything. But he SHOULD schedule friend time. "Next Hogsmeade, we should HANG!" She exclaimed excitedly using some new lingo. Quote:
"Ooooh? What for?" Nosy Cela is nosy. |
