Chelle hurried to the Library, her sewcond-favourite place in the school. She hoped she wasn't late for the study sessions. Greeting everyone, she took out her books and paid attention. |
Erica walked into the study area and quickly set herself at a desk and got her books out |

"Hi K, I'm Marie. You're not bothering me, I don't mind if you join us." Marie looked at the others wondering if they would care. She was happy to see that there were more fellow Slytherins joining the study group, now she would have a chance to finally meet some of them. "Hello" Marie said to the new girl that joined the group. She didn't look like she really wanted to be there but Marie was happy to see another Slytherin join the group.[/QUOTE] "Thank you so much I'm glad to be joining you, "Nice to meet you Marie" "So how is everyone's school year going this seems like its a great and fun year so far." |
Okay, so Tammy wasn't going to come to this 'session' to STUDY. She was simply going to sit in the Common Room and more than likely play with wool and her kitten. Because that sounded normal. And STUDYING was not something she did often. BUT, if she didn't go then surely DomERELLA, the tall head boy, would probably bark at her. And make her cry. And that WASNT nice. Nodding quickly as she made her obviously late entry, she raised a hand in recognition of it already starting, and took a seat at a table further back. OH this was funny. It seemed Mr BIG!Head Boy was getting a talking to, from Mrs Head Girl. Bliss. Oh now that would knock a size off that head of his. Placing her bag on the table, and shifting so she was comfortable, Tammy leant into her palm. It seemed a few of them were younger than her. But taller. But that wasn't the problem. EH, wasn't she scheduled to do the next on, in like a couple of months time? TALK INFRONT OF PEOPLE?! EH., |

"Very well said," the head boy complimented. "Just one thing though to comment on which is what you said last about in the absence of either trait. I don't think that being motivated by fear or power is necessarily specific to ONLY wizards, but can be applied to muggles the same way. Just a thought though." He finished before turning towards Chris. Quote:

Typical McKenna. "Yes, I'm aware of that, McKenna," Dominic replied, trying REALLY hard to refrain from rolling his eyes. "And yes, we will get to the studying, but I just wanted to do a quick review of some of the topics covered thus far FIRST. Discussions and reviews ARE a form of studying too, you know." It was true. There were many different kinds of studying. Quote:
Evidently, she didn't totally want to cut him out of her life forever, like she said. No, he would just have to bide his time . . . Quote:
Her skirt. Was revealing ALMOST too much skin. It wasn't really any wonder though what Copernicus saw in her: saucy attitude, cute, and smart to name a few. And then she was pointing her wand at HIM while demonstrating the wand movement. "Absolutely. Perfect. And thank you for not actually GOUGING me, because that would have resulted in some severe disciplinary action." He mused, throwing a brief little wink at her. Text Cut: a few others who were quiet/late xD Looking around at some of the others, Dominic decided that it was probably enough review. A lot of them probably didn't really know what to ask or talk about, since this was the first official group/interhouse study session. Noticing his own co-prefect lean into her palm though, Dominic frowned. Tamzin - on the other hand - SHOULD have known what to expect or ask. Oh well. It wasn't really too big a deal as they had three different subjects already to work with. "Hmm so I think the time is now to move on from that you telling me what you've learned thus far. Thank you for those who volunteered the information." Dominic started thoughtfully, but then decided that since Evolette seemed so eager to move them into STUDYING, then perhaps she should be the one to talk about the next part. Looking over at the Head Girl to grasp her attention, he continued, "Evolette, here, will explain the next part pertaining to actual study work." And how they'll split up ... See. He CAN share . . . SOMETIMES! |
Evan, trying to open the door of the library as silently as he could, slipped through the door perfectly, and walked quickly to the bunch of people. He walked half-bent like he wouldn't be seen by a prefect, and quickly found a seat. He didn't pay attention to where he had sat, the important thing was it was a chair. He quickly turned to the cool mode then, and acted as if he had been there the whole time. At least he could have acted, if he had a slight idea what they were doing. But he couldn't just ask now, could he? He remained silent and waited, of course he'd get a hint soon. He looked at the Hufflepuff prefect who seemed to have just talked, and wondered if he was noticed. He hoped not, but he also doubted these prefects would miss anything. Perfect. But it wasn't a class, right? Like, he wouldn't get detention? Nah, there were no professor around. So he had no obligation to come, yet he had. Good boy! |
Ah. In charge. She liked that, very much so. Nodding, Evolette picked up where Dominic had left off. "First off, thank you again for coming, if you hadn't I would have been stuck here with Dominic on my own." She gave a face for comical effect, however, she was certain a few people would KNOW she meant it. "I'm especially happy about the number of Slytherins who showed up." She added, with a smile. Was it wrong that she would proud of her housemates for outnumbering everyone else? Of course not. "So, some of us have OWLs to study for, some, NEWTs, and others just have class homework, I think the best way to do this would be to split everyone up by those categories, then, you can all pair off with someone in your group, preferably not of your house, as that is the whole point, and get to work." She then designated areas for the three groups, pointing them out and allowing everyone to relocate as they needed. |
Evelyn almost laughed at the Head Girl's comment on being stuck with Dominic, hiding it behind her hand and pretending to cough instead. Though, she wasn't so happy at the thought of working with someone in another house, hoping that she could've worked with Destiny or one of the other girls she just recently met. 'Hmm, maybe there won't be enough people in other houses so i can work with them anyway.' Looking around, she grabbed her things and walked over to the area where the 'class homework' section would be, and sitting down, laying out her things like she had before. |
Looking around the room, Destiny noticed there were a lot more Slytherins than other houses. How is this going to work? She gathered her things and joined Evelyn at the table for class homework. Resting her head on her hands she waited for other students. |

Plymouth strolled into the library and propped up against the loaner bookshelf. He grinned throughout the entire speech by Head Girl Evolette McKenna. And, naturally, he was the first (and probably only) one to clap when she was done. Really, she was a very good Head Girl. Very good. "Believe that puts me in YOUR group, Head Girl McKenna. Did you plan it that way on purpose?" Plymouth winked and sidled up next to her. If they were picking partners, Plymouth was picking Evolette McKenna. |
"Oh don't worry Dom-in-ick, I promise I won't gouge you unless its in the arena." Celandine answered giving her hair a toss and looking around at the other Ravenclaws. Durr. Of course her answer was absolutely perfect, it was a 'claw thing. She gave Dom-in-ick a friendly smile, since he was her friend after all, and shifted when Evee suggested the OWL students sit together. She gave Copernicus a little wink as she moved away from him, being sure that she was sitting in a spot that she could still see him. "Hey LouAnn, Hey Chris! Shall we wait and see how many other OWL students are joining in before we partner off?" |
Quote:
She sure did like that boy. "Of course Plym." she agreed, giving him a conspiratorial wink, "I'm greedy, and want you all for myself." HMM. Well, there was a little bit of truth to that. Evolette McKenna was rather greedy at times. "You'll be my partner." she decided, draping her arm over his shoulders. She SO did not need to get shafted and end up with Denton as a partner. Plymouth was SO much better. |

So he got up and walked over to the table that the O.W.L. students were going. He then heard that they suggested people from different houses. He sighed a bit. He kinda wanted to work with LouAnn for...some reason. But he smiled as he caught sight of another friend Cela the only other fifth year at the table. "Oh hey Cela, how are you?!" he asked her happily setting his things down. "Hey maybe if no other 5th years show up we can all three work together." he said cheerfully to LouAnn and Cela, while spinning a quill in his hand. |
Plymouth was sooooooo spoiled by Evolette McKenna. So spoiled. Rotten. She always took care of him. "If the Head Girl says it, it must be done." Plymouth gave her a quick and friendly squeeze. "Besides," Plymouth moved to grab a pair of seats at the table, first pulling out a seat for Evolette, "who else would have me as a partner? Perni will be all ... you know... Perni. And the Head Boy, well, hehe... Let's just say I'm lucky to have you." Plymouth plopped down and flipped open a random book. "So what'll it be, Head Girl? What do you need me to tutor you in?" ... hehehehe |

"Denton," Copernicus gestured for the boy to join him. "NEWTs. Stop preening and get over here to let me organize your study time tables. This is how Ravenclaws roll." He glanced at Willow Kovac, who he wasn't allowed to claim as a partner anyway because she was a Ravenclaw, and made an apologetic face. Sorry that I have to somehow figure out how to be friends with you both and I know that you probably don't forgive me yet but I'm working on it. |

Willow Kovac had grown positively distracted, so it was not until Evolette's voice reached her ears as though her friend was miles away from her, that her forest green eyes blinked repeatedly until she was fully back into reality. And then the seventh year realized that they needed to get into groups. To study. Study. In. Group. PFFFFTTTTTT. Coughing back the derisive snort that was attempting to come out of her short self, Willow brushed her silky dark hair to the back with a swift and dainty movement of her hand, nodded politely at Copernicus Kettleburn who was giving her a look that triggered some kind of weird feeling inside of her (guilt, maybe? For being rude?), before settling her books and parchment on the table. And then she started to study and work by herself, because someone as independent as herself certainly did not need to study in groups to grasp things easier and quicker. Willow Kovac was perfectly fine studying by herself. Ahem. |

"Yea i know! Wasn't it!?" Evelyn exclaimed, thinking about the phoenix. "It was really hot too...I mean, to the touch, not that it was hot hot, just his feathers were...warmish...yeaaa." she ended pathetically. "Umm, so do you remember what the assignment was?" she asked, taking out her rose scented ink. 'Might as well use it.' she thought. "I remember it had something to do with wands or...something." |
Quote:
'Oh yeah the assignment.' Destiny said flipping through her notes. 'I have it written down somewhere..' When she found it she let Evelyn read it. Quote:

Of course Evolette would like being put in charge of something. Yes, because Dominic needed to feed her ego once in awhile, he learned, to keep her at bay. Please her, if you will ... Just a little never hurt anyone. Enough to make her think she was important. Even if she did crack jokes about having to be stuck with him. Ha! He wasn't half as bad as she was . . . At least he didn't show his house bias by commenting on their presence. Rubbing it in; typical McKenna move really. Oh so they were splitting by what they had to study for. Looking around for the seventh years who'd be sitting their NEWTs with him this year, it then dawned on the Hufflepuff that there weren't too many there: Evolette and Plymouth who were already paired up quickly it seemed (since Plymouth seemed to favor Evolette over him. Not that he really cared of course). There was Tammy and Willow; the former being in his house and the latter still not on speaking turns with him. And then ... Oh! When did Copernicus get here? Before he could acknowledge his fellow seventh year though, he frowned when Cela said she'd only gouge him the arena, making a mental note to NOT go into the dueling arena with her unless he could help it. Oh right. Copernicus was complaining about something. "What?! Study time tables?" He blinked at the boy like he'd lost his mind. He managed just fine on his OWLs without no time tables, so why'd he need them for NEWTs? Oh yes, right, these exams were much more intense than OWLs and deep down, the Head Boy knew that last minute cramming would not get him far. "Hmm, well then, if you insist..." he sighed, sitting down beside the ravenclaw as he took in where he'd been looking. Mystery girl ... SIGH ... studying solo; typical Willow Kovac. And even though they hadn't properly talked in months, for some strange reason, there was a tingly sensation in his chest. |
"It's easy. Color coded and everything," Copernicus said lightly, as if talking to a small child. He shoved out a chair with his foot and gestured for the other boy to sit down. "Wanted to talk to you anyway." He rolled a parchment across the table. "Your new study schedule. You can thank me later." |
Quote:
Color coding schedules took far too much effort for the Head Boy; by the time you'd finish making the schedule, you could have already have sufficiently studied for one subject. "Mmhm," he nodded, sliding into the chair the older boy gestured to, as he took the parchment and unrolled it. Golden eyes scanning its way down the parchment, his expression went from disbelief to confusion to anger to frustration and back again quickly. What!? Yes. "Uh. Thanks." He gave Cope a half-forced smile, as he rolled the parchment up. Would it be inappropriate to bop a certain someone on the head about now? Cause it was tempting. |
