It seemed that Rachel was much the better talker than Tammy ahd ever been, and she could talk for hours. Oh how she was cursed, small, nto a good talker, AND a seventh year at this precise moment.

God, how she wished people weren't going to ask for help in the subject she was failing now. EH =3

Was this guy ever going to reply to her? Maybe he really didn't want to be bothered after all? Maybe...well, actually, he'd made the first move anyway, right? Right! So he must not mind her presence all that much. Still, he wasn't really speaking, so...

Oh, finally! LouAnn's smile grew wider when Fyo finally spoke up and introduced himself. "Nice to meet you," she remarked. "Me? All my homework? No, not even close." She frowned as she looked at all her books. "I'm one of those people who probably pretty much need help in everything, so that's why all my books are strewn across the table."

When Torin greeted her, LouAnn turned and focused her attention on him. "Oh, hey, Torin! It's going alright, although, I'm not really sure what to start studying first," she said, eying her textbooks again. "I'm not really all that great in anything. "What are you two working on?" Maybe they'd mentioned that before, but since she hadn't really been a part of the conversation until now, she hadn't been listening for long.

You called her Anna. :P
 

LouAnn looked thoughtful for a moment then finally shrugged. "I don't know. It depends on what you're studying. I know a few things, I guess," she said, reaching forward and making a grab for her Herbology book. She flipped through a few pages, coming to a stop on a page telling all about Devil's Snare. "I know a little about this plant," she said, pointing to a picture of a Devil's Snare encircling someone's body. "I'm not going to lie, though. Identifying trees...like we had to do in that first class...liked to have done me in. I'm no good at that." She had, though, at least received a passing grade.

He listened to her thoughtfully and saw that she mostly had problems with the Muggle aspects of Herbology. "Well, I'm Muggleborn. Not a tree expert, but I know stuff. So... I could answer any questions you have?" He was not good at this kind of thing as LouAnn would soon see.

"You're welcome," Fyo replied.

Did I mention - cue handsome, very Fyo-ish grin?

Ah yes, it was good when the Shy!Shell retreated, and left Fyo to himself. Such peace - and study plus peace equalled YAY!
"The pleasure's all mine," Fyo said with a little smile, but then he raised an eyebrow. Not even close? He blinked, then gave a shrug of sorts. "If you need any help in Arithamancy," he said, after a moment's pause, "You can always ask me - it's my strongest subject."

No surprise there, really.

Cedric glanced around; he recognized a familiar face. LouAnn Purple? Ooh. The girl he had met at the Diagon Alley. He walked towards her as he heard that they were talking about Herbology; he can definately help at Herbology as it is his best subject. "Hey LouAnn!" Cedric greeted her as he flashed a wide smile. "It's been a while, what's up?" He asked. "By the way, I can help in Herbology." muttered he under his breath.

LouAnn smiled at Torin, happy to hear he was so willing to help her. She nodded and thanked him then began flipping through her textbook. She'd love to ask him a question only...she really didn't know what to ask. Maybe if she kept flipping through the pages, she'd come across something that looked unfamiliar to her. Maybe she might even be able to help him, too. Doubtful, but it sounded like a good idea. "Okay, cool. Thanks. I'm just going to flip through and see if anything catches my eye," she said to him.

Seeing Fyo's shrug, LouAnn blushed a little then turned back to the textbook she'd been flipping through. She was page 89 or so when she finally realized she'd been flipping and flipping but not looking at a single page. Not really. Her mind had been drifting far away, thinking about a random assortment of things. When another resulted in a paper cut, LouAnn jerked her hand back. "Owww," she mumbled, shaking her hand to try and ease some of the pain.

Still frowning at her paper cut finger, LouAnn glanced up when a boy---Oh, Cedric---greeted her. She remembered seeing Cedric out and about during one of her many trips to Diagon Alley last summer. "Hey, Cedric! It has been a while, hasn't it?" she greeted, changing her frown to a smile. "You know, same old stuff---schoolwork, homework, and...yeah. How've you been?" She patted the seat next to her when he mentioned being able to help in Herbology. "Oh, yeah? Awesome!"

He watched as she started flipping through her book. "sure, no problem. Any area that you're not sure about I can help you with." It didn't even have to be a specific question.

"Alright...coolness," LouAnn said, giving Torin a little smile before slouching down in her seat and focusing all her attention on her textbook. The other students, she assumed, were putting some serious studying in, as no one had really said anything in quite some time. Ahhh, well...suited LouAnn just fine. She could sure use the quiet time to try and sort through the madness in her head. Schoolwork...that was the cause of the madness, of course.

Cedric smiled gleefully as the girl had greeted him while he was fidgeting his fingers under the table. "Yeah. I've been good. Just try to exceeds the expectations of our teachers." He chuckled as he took out his Herbology book from his backpack.

"Oh, yeah! I can help at Herbology." Cedric grinned, looking exhilarated. "So is there anything that troubles you in Herbology and other subjects?

Tammy looked around, and gave a little sigh, so this wasn't going to plan. Not going to plan at all. Taking a little look over at the one's attempting to work, Tammy decided to help a little bit. Might aswell, instead of being silent and not doing anything.

"You need any help with anything?"

When the second Hufflepuff boy, Cedric if she remembered correctly, spoke up again, LouAnn tore her eyes off the page she'd been reading and glanced up. "Yup, sounds about like what I've been doing. That and trying to block out these horrible nightmares I've been having," she replied, mumbling the last part of that. She sighed and slammed the book closed...as quietly as possible, of course. "Its no use. I can't concentrate. That's what my main problem is, you know. I drift away far too often." She needed chocolate...

LouAnn began patting her pockets in search of a Cockroach Cluster, but she seemed to be having no such luck. That was when the female Hufflepuff prefect, a girl LouAnn was sure she didn't know by name, approached and asked if she needed any help. "Uhh, yeah. I seem to have lost my roach. Have you seen it?" she asked, speaking, of course, about Cockroach Clusters. She eyed Torin, Cedric, and Fyo, wondering if any the three boys had helped themselves to the treat when she wasn't looking. Wouldn't that be just like a boy!

"Urm. . . I'd say yeah and totally be lying to you." And that wasn't fair. "You should ask Torin, he's probably got it. He likes to eat other peoples food. When Technically ti was Tammy who had stolen the chips from him, but he was a boy. So it meant the same. "I'm Tammy by the way." She introduced herself, as she took a seat.

He had been looking at his Herbology textbook when suddenly he heard Tammy accuse him of taking some food or something. He wasn't exactly sure what, just that she had said that he likes taking food from other people. "Hey! I didn't take anything from anyone." He stuck his tongue out at her as she took a seat. Knowing her she had done it.

Marilyn entered the Library and quickly approached one of the various tables in the middle of the room. She sighed. There was always something about the Library that calmed her nerves. It had been a rough Potions class and she desperately needed some down time. Having feathers, boils, and chicken wings can really take it out of a girl.

The blonde sat carefully, bending to pull her notes and silver chess piece from the bag discarded beside her chair. She had Transfiguration homework to do and had asked a Gryffindor to be her partner for it.

Deciding to practice while she waited for him, she mumbled "Piertotum Locomotor". The small knight sprung to life, standing in front of her waiting for instruction. He was adorable.

Carter walked in the library and headed toward the study area. He had received an owl from a Slytherin girl requesting that he be her partner for the Transfiguration homework. Upon nearing the tables he saw a blonde girl playing with a chess piece. "Hey, are you Marilyn?" he asked nearing her.

Marilyn coo'd at her little knight as he pranced around the desk at her obvious affection. Upon hearing her name, she looked up to see Carter watching her. She smiled at him brightly and stood.

"Yes. I'm Marilyn Force." She sat back down and indicated for him to do the same. "Thank you for agreeing to help me. Did you bring your chess piece?"

"Yeah." Carter said digging into his robe pocket and withdrawing a white Queen from a muggle chess set. He sat it on the table and slid into the seat next to her. "And no problem. I like working with new people on assignments. You tend to learn a lot more that way." he said to her.

Marilyn caught sight of the white queen and smirked. "I agree. Are you ready to get started?"She flashed him her best smile as her knight approached his Queen. The little silver piece was watching the unmoving Queen cautiously. "No violence out of you, mister." She waved her wand threateningly at him for emphasis.

Carter smiled and brought his little chess piece to life with a, "Piertotum Locomotor." The queen straightened out and curtsied to Marilyn's knight. "So what shall we have them do?" he asked Marilyn looking back up at her.

The blonde smiled at the polite behavior on the part of the Queen. She glared down at her knight and poked him. The horse and man both bowed their heads, causing Marilyn's face to light up. "Well played."

She ran her hand through her blonde curls and suddenly laughed. How about they...waltz? Flicking her wand towards her chess piece, the man dismounted his house and approached the Queen with caution. "Don't be scared, love."

"Mmm...alright then," LouAnn said, shrugging her shoulders a little then forgetting about the Chocolate Cluster altogether. Besides, she had an entire stash of them in her trunk up in the Common Room. She did, however, eye Torin when the Hufflepuff girl announced that he liked to eat others food. What an...odd thing to do. He probably did take her Cockroach Cluster, then! She smiled at Tammy then introduced herself. "Oh, coolness. I'm LouAnn Purple," she said.

Carter smirked as Marilyn urged her little knight to be polite. "I thought that assignment was to have them compete in something..." he said. "But, if you'd like we can have them waltz anyway."

Marilyns face fell slightly. Did I write down the assignment wrong?

"Oh. I must have mistaken." She bit her lip feeling a little unsure now. She didn't want to get it wrong. All her homework assignments to date have received perfect scores. Seriously. "What do you think, Carter?"
