Evelyn gave her a small smile, looking at the books she had taken out. "So, how 'bout you?" she asked, glancing over at the head girl and boy for a split second before lowering her voice slightly. "You enjoying classes and such so far?"

'Parents are weird sometimes. They probably think you are too young to understand.' Destiny knew this from experience. Her parents have been telling her that same thing since she could remember. 'Hopefully you get to go with him, and maybe you'll find out where he got your quill.'

Destiny couldn't help but laugh. She remembered Lord Borr getting stuck in his chair and then the throwing up everywhere! And his voice! His loud, loud voice. 'That man is crazy! I think he fancies Nurse Melita and her cookies.' She started looking as if Lord Borr knew she was talking about him and he would suddenly show up.

Destiny turned to Marie. 'It's nice to meet you too!'

Kyle walked in..
His eyes glowed with Gray passion..
"Hello Everyone."
He said.

K saw a group of Slytherin girls talking so K went up to them, "Hi sorry to bother you but I just wanted to say hi since where all in Slytherin together My name is Kaplinski but you can call me K." She smiled at the girls hoping she didn't bother them too much.

The first thing Kiri noticed was that the Library was much busier than usual. Louder, too. Small groups of students were sitting here and there at the study tables near the entrance, looking around expectantly as if waiting for something. Kiri, who'd only wanted to read up on potion ingredients, wandered over to see what was going on.
The Head Girl and Boy were there, and they seemed to be the centre of attention. When she noticed the abundance of textbooks and fresh parchment - not that strange for the Library, true - she remembered the notice she'd seen on the Slytherin bulletin board earlier. The "study session", whatever that was supposed to be.

Raiden was there, sitting at a table with Celandine and a few of their mutual friends. These days, his mood was always so difficult to determine, but Kiri, perhaps foolishly, decided to risk it again. She moved past the other students and joined the table, a few seats away from Raiden. They were all in conversation, so she simply waved at them, wondering how the study session was going to go. Celandine apparently knew the Head Girl and Boy as well (Did she know everyone?), so maybe she'd mentioned their meeting in the Astronomy Tower to them - although neither of them, as far as Kiri knew, was particularly interested in the subject.

"That's true." she said, agreeing with what Destiny said about what her parents think. Now she was becoming even more excited at the thought of traveling around with her uncle. She couldn't wait to see him again.

"Professor Borr and the nurse? Nah, i think he would fancy anyone who gives him food." she laughed. "Unless you just mean her cookies in general. What's with the cookies anyways? You hardly see her without one..."


"Hello." Evelyn replied back. 'Aw, another fellow Slytherin. Excellent.' She scooted over so K could sit down. "You won't mind if i prefer to call you K...do you?" Clearing her throat slightly, she glanced down for a split second. "Anyway, I'm Evelyn."

As more and more students entered, Evolette greeted each one with a wave and a smile. She was glad to see the number of Slytherin's who had come in. It was good, could be better but still, it was good.

"Thanks for coming everyone." Mostly Slytherins, she wasn't going to lie about that. Yeah.

They should start soon, officially. You know. But, she waited a little longer to see if more would come, there could be more. Always could be more.

Nancy had been lingering in front of the library door for quite a while now, biting her lip and repeatedly glancing inside anxiously. What was she even doing here? Why voluntarily go into the library? There was nobody forcing her to go in there. As more and more people passed her, walking over towards the Study Area where the Study Group were to take place Nancy closed her eyes for a moment, taking a deep breath.

She still needed to go in there. It sure would be fun. Uhm, yeah, whatever. But she still needed to go in there. Taking another deep breath Nancy took a tentative step into the library before with a quick anxious glance around she quickly strode over to the Study Area. The moment she arrived there she put on a forced smile as she muttered a half-hearted greeting. "Hello everybody." With that she quickly took a seat on the nearest free chair and crossed her legs, her blue eyes still darting around the library anxiously.

Melanie stepped into the room, lugging along her bag, with both hands. She was no weakling, mind you but...

...Weeeell, it was ALL of her school books in one bag!! Of COURSE the darn thing was heavy. Spying Dominic and some Slytherin who was apparently the Head Girl standing up, she grimaced. Well, this, this was just great. they'd started. Now everyone'll get their chance to see me tugging my fat old bag along the floor. Biting her lip grumpily, she plonked down into a seat at one of the wooden tables, slinging the bag with her books in it onto it, with a resounding BANG!.

The girl looked around, her green eyes surveying her surroundings. It looked like it should. Lots of people. Lots of seating. Lots of books...

Books.

There were books.

Booky books.

Textbooks.

Melanie's expression immediately turned from relieve to finally be there to completely and total distraught. Bringing her hand to her forehead, she let out a soft sigh. This was definitely not her day. Brushing off her slight irritation, the Hufflepuff let a small smile slip over her face, though. Happy day. Be Happy. Joyful. Cheerful. All those lovely things. Then, Melanie looked expectantly up at the standing figures, for some sort of instruction, hoping they hadn't already gotten to far.

"Um yeah, classes are going good. Not sure yet about Charms but the rest are going good. I think I am really going to like Arithmancy, and Muggle Studies wasn't as bad as I thought it would be." Marie looked around to make sure it was still ok to talk before she continued. "So how about you, are you enjoying classes?'

"Hi K, I'm Marie. You're not bothering me, I don't mind if you join us." Marie looked at the others wondering if they would care. She was happy to see that there were more fellow Slytherins joining the study group, now she would have a chance to finally meet some of them.

"Hello" Marie said to the new girl that joined the group. She didn't look like she really wanted to be there but Marie was happy to see another Slytherin join the group.

Study Sessions, hmm? Now that was something LouAnn could use a little more of around here. After weeks of struggling, she'd finally managed to have decent marks, but she imagined her luck to be short-lived and hard to come by. Perhaps some tips and advice from her fellow students would do the trick, if nothing else. She scanned the area for a few of her Gryffindor friends, but not finding any, she headed to an area filled with a mixture of Hufflepuffs, Ravenclaws, and Slytherins. She slid into an empty seat, mumbling a quiet "Hey" before glancing forward to try and see if anything had started yet.

Chris had remembered that the first Study Session that he and the rest of the Prefects had been planning, was starting today and he wanted to attend. He did have a little tinsey problem with one of his assignments and would be here as a bit of a moral booster for his fellows leading this one, besides he could maybe take some notes on how to run his later on in the term!

He walked in and took a empty seat next to LouAnn. "Hey LouAnn! How are you?" He asked quietly with a bright smile as he took the seat.

Evelyn grimaced at the words 'muggle studies'. Not that she hated muggles or anything, just the class was so...not worth her time. "I favor Defense Against the Dark Arts myself, but i can't wait till potions. Should be interesting." she said, smiling somewhat while playing with her quill.

"I like Defense Against the Dark Arts too but my last grade wasn't that great. Maybe we can work together on the next DADA assignment we have." Marie remembered that last homework assignment they had not understanding why her grade wasn't better than what she got. "I am really looking forward to potions too. Do you know when we are going to have class?"

Well apparently Evolette wasn't much of an introduction person. Of course he never really was either before he became a prefect and then he sort of adapted. Nodding at her introduction, he then looked around as more students - slytherins mostly it seemed - filtered in. Oh his badgers would definitely need speaking to.

Especially a certain third year named Cedric who seemed content with bringing up where Tammy and Kaika were; how was he supposed to know?! It wasn't like he was their keeper ... he was Quidditch Keeper, yes, but that meant he was keeper of the GOALPOSTS and NOT of people. "Yes, interhouse study session." Dominic nodded, ignoring replying to the second question, but simply shrugged instead as he turned his attention instead to . . . .

The resounding BANG!

Figures it would be Melanie. Giving the younger housemate of his a small sympathy smile, he briefly caught onto what two young slytherin girls were speaking about before deciding that they've waited long enough.




"So as you all know from your notice boards in the common room, you've come here today as a little review of what we've covered thus far." Dominic explained, looking around the room and taking in who was present. "That being said, I'd like to start by having you all raise your hands and tell me ONE thing you've learned from any class we've had this term. It doesn't matter what year you've been and if the class was restricted to certain years. Any class and one thing you've learned."

Celandine laughed at the question and raised her hand an impish smile on her face as she looked up at Dom-in-ick.

"Butter sculpting with hexes is actually pretty easy." She offered.

Chris raised his hand happily as Dom had asked for their learned things. "Well Dom, I learn the differences of each type of wand core, the creatures themselves, and the abilities these cores give to the caster in Professors Morgan and Bunbury's joint Herbology and Care of Magical Creatures Lesson." he said with a smile.

Raiden raised his hand tentatively. "In History Of Magic, we learned that most if not all Dark Artists are motivated by power and fear." He paused for a second. "Actually by the end of class I believe we'd determined that all the persons we had listed were motivated by both traits."

Dominic glanced over at Cel-an-dine, upon hearing her laugh. And to think this was her OWL year; really this was no time at all for HER to be laughing of all people.

"Oh really, Miss Toussaint? Then do share with your peers a reminder of the incantation we used in butter sculpting and the wand movement as well," the head boy encouraged.

Nodding at the Gryffindor Prefect who spoke next, Dominic had to admit this lesson he hadn't really paid much attention during. So he, himself, would need some extra studying on the material. "Oh? Is that so? Then please enlighten us on any three of the wand cores your learned about. Include of course, these differences you speak of and the abilities the cores gives to the caster." This study session leading thing wasn't actually that difficult, it seemed.

Ah, History of Magic. Now THAT was an interesting lesson; it was a shame for all the younger students who had to miss out, but at the same time, it was probably GOOD they weren't subjected to some of the initial class participation.

"Yes we did, but please, Raiden... Do you think you could maybe offer one or two Dark Artists motivated by power alone? And also by fear alone?" Dominic challenged the young Slytherin.

"I honestly have no clue. Pretty soon i hope." she whispered, seeing as the head boy was starting to speak again.


Hmm, what did she learn in class so far? Now that she was being asked as to what she had learned, all the information seemed to have disappeared from her mind. Frowning, she stared at her quill for a minute, listening to what the others were saying.

"At the conclusion of class, we'd determined that all the Dark Artists listed were motivated by both Fear and Power, so if we're going by class standards, I would have to say no. However, in my opinion, those Dark Artists that already had obtained Power without the use of the Dark Arts, who used Dark Arts instead to defend themselves after their rise, would be qualified as strongly influenced by Fear, and influenced very, very little by Power. This would include Salazar Slytherin, of course... However, there will most likely never be an absence of either trait, in Dark Artists or regular Wizards either." Raiden stopped talking, finally, before looking at Kiri and giving her a little bit of a smile. He really needed to start paying more attention to his surroundings. This was the second time she'd been nearby and he hadn't noticed...

Chris smiled and made a mental note that when he ran a later Study Session, to have the students desribe the lessons and then help if others needed help. This seemed a good way to one, get the students confidenve up, and two show that they knew more than they thought they did.

"Ok Dom." He cleared his throat and then began to tell all he could remember about the cores and their differences. "Well the three main types of cores used in wands are Unicorn hair, Dragon heartstring, and Phoenix feather. Firstly the Phoenix feahter wand is very good at protection and lasting spells. A phoenix feather core gives a better defensive potential. The Unicorn Hair core has powers of the Unicorn itself. It is great at Healing spells and at Transfiguration and Charms. The Dragon Heartstring core is also great at Defensive spells and Transfiuration. This wand is strong and does well at performing Hexes." he finished with a nod.

What? What was this?

Evolette blinked at Dominic, as he suddenly launched into "Professor mode." Asking questions, strutting like he was the most popular person in the room.... HAH. As if. Whatever.

Standing from her seat, Evolette walked over to the boy, and stood beside him, if she was going to "talk" to him which would probably end up sounding like an argument, no one else needed to hear it.

"This is not a class, Denton." Evolette reminded him, knocking his little power trip down a notch. "They've come to study. Perhaps we should divide them into groups, depending on the subject, and LET them study?"

Yeah. PERHAPS.

What was this ... thing? Oh, right. Study session meeting or something or the other that Willow Kovac did not particuarly need as she preferred to study alone without the distraction of others, thank you very much.

But she was here for Evolette. To keep her company, or as much company as you could keep with a bunch of strangers around you.

Dropping her messenger bag on the floor and not at all bothered by the fact that she was seemingly late (though, in her mind, she was not late - Willow Kovac had her own very schedule, so therefore, everyone else was ridiculously early), the Ravenclaw captain took seat a little farther away from the rest of the people. Smirking lightly at her Slytherin friend, the seventh year started to curl a strand of dark hair on her index finger, as she heard the Head Boy talk and lead the study session, without actually looking at him.

Study session that sounded more like a class.

Her perfectly shaped dark eyebrows jerked up slightly.

Celandine laughed again and gave Dom-in-ick a saucy little wink, twisting in her chair enough so that he could see that she was SO borderline when it came to the length requirement of her skirt.

"Yup. Really. Dom-in-ick. Defodio is the incantation." She lifted her hand lightning fast and flicked her wand into her hand, pointing at the head boy. "And thats the wand movement."

What? Hufflepuffs were the closest thing to butter in the library, right? And it wasn't like she was gouging bits out of Dom-in-ick.

Cue super sweet and angelic smile as she reholstered her wand and crossed her legs, apparently the absolute picture of innocent and rapt attention.
