Grace walked into the common room. She hoped to meet some new people here and she really liked bedtime storys. She saw that the professor was already telling a story. "I'm so sorry that I am too late", Grace sad and sat down on a pillow.

Kiri was feeling decidedly less cheerful now. Raiden didn't so much as look at her, he just sat there, eating biscuit after biscuit. She wondered if she should maybe give him a small prod, or whisper something, but the slightly odd expression on his face made her hesitate.

She gave a tiny sigh just as someone behind her nudged her. She turned around, but the person just wanted to pass on the healer's biscuits and cocoa cups. Shrugging, Kiri took a few cookies and handed the plate to the next student.
She leaned back against the wall and, in the absence of... well... hugged one of the squashy pillows. Nibbling dejectedly on one of Healer Melita's cookies, she tried to pay attention to the story again, but every now and then, Kiri peeked at Raiden out of the corner of her eye.

Kevin was sitting listening to Professor Lupa's story and smiled to himself he knew she was a werewolf but thought that it would be best to leave her be because well Professor Lupa was cool

Evan was enjoying his chocolate when he saw the familiar beautiful face was smiling at him. He too smiled but said nothing not to disturb the athmosphere. He then smiled sadly when she closed her eyes. At least they were still good. He then chuckled at the professor, who told Lyra not to sleep. He poked her arm, and turned back to professor again who was now telling the story.

Her voice was so peaceful... he too closed his eyes to just focus on the voice. He would never have guessed it would sound so sweet. He was already into the story, imagining every detail. But soon he was disturbed by a too sweet and cheerful voice: the crazy nurse. His blue eyes snapped open and he stared confused. What was she doing here? It was their common room! Were the teachers allowed to go in every common room? He was glad though that she had brought hot cocoa, and happily took his cup. He was then once again into the story, when someone again familiar caught his eyes.
Fallon. Fallon laying by Iris. His lips were ready to smile when he finally comprehended the scene. Feeling utterly angry, he folded his arms and pursed his lips. He was her boyfriend now, and she was still sitting next to her "friend". Tut tut. Although he had some problem with focusing this time, he finally managed it once again, and decided not to look at her. Lyra was sitting next to him, and she was not. The end.

Lyra hugged her pillow tighter as she lay on the ground. It wasn't very comfortable but she was tired so it didn't matter. The professor's voice that she should stay awake hadn't reached her ears but the hand of someone poking her arm trying to wake her had worked. She looked up alarmed and sat right up "I'm awake!" she said but then blushed fiercefuly when the professor had already started to tell the story.

Lyra looked beside her and saw that Evan was still sitting next to her. She smiled a bit, relieved that they were still friends after all that had happened and looked around to see who else was here. Her eyes saw Fallon and strangely, she was with Iris. She made a look of confusion, weren't Fallon and Evan suppose to sit next to each other? Lyra shrugged to herself and looked back at the professor again to listen to the rest of the story.

Because she hadn't listened to the beginning of the story, it was a little hard for her to catch up. But she soon found it out and wanted to lay down again. Focusing on the story when... The nurse walked in.. Nurse? what was she doing here? Lyra turned towards the nurse and rolled her eyes. Whatever Evan believed about that nurse, Lyra had the feeling he was right. She poked Evan's arm back and whispered very softly so that she wouldn't disturbe the story. "Was the nurse a Slytherin?"

Iris smiled at Fallon as she sat next to her, and then looked over at Evan. He didn't look too happy about it... Ooooh! Did ... Are ... OMG! I need to speak to her later!

Iris looked back to professor Lupa ... Princess stories ... Pshh ... I hope there's a princess-eating dragon in this story. Or it would be REALLY boring... and girly. Blah ... Iris remembered that Aaron wasn't here, and sighed sadly. He would be sat in the Great Hall all on his own ... She looked at Fallon with a guilty/sad look. She'd have to tell her after the story.

Evan chuckled at Lyra when she shouted like that. She was so cute! But noo, he shouldn't think like that. She was friendly cute. Although his girlfriend chose to sit with her best friend, he had a girlfriend now, and he'd totally be loyal. Forgetting his decision of not looking at her direction, he turned to check on them and saw Iris was looking at him too. Glare. Was it not enough that she was harsh on him, now that she was also stealing his girlfriend? He then felt a poke and was departed from his fury, and hearing the question he shrugged. He didn't know either. "Apparently." he whispered back. He was really ashamed of this house's history now.

"It's fine dear, this isn't a class... It's fun time." She said smiling.

Hmmmmmm Alessia winked at the girl.

"You can ask your questions dearest." She said taking another sip of the hot cocoa and giggling a little. "You don't need to whisper to each other..."

She turned the page and read some more.


ooc: The princess stood and watched her friend have only eyes for the man beside her. A feeling of loathing and resentment started to take over the Princess’ body, as the man took a bow before her.

“The party is inside… let us away.” The princess said without any emotion.

She watched the muggle girl and her betrothed sit together, eat together, hold hands, and dance. She stood and angered left her own party.

"Hello Professor sorry I've been busy but great sotry telling" K smiled at the Professor. "I love stories so much." K went on as she laid down. K was also hopeing to see friends and make new ones as well.

Evelyn raised an eyebrow when she saw the nurse come in to the common room. 'What is she doing here?' she thought, before she saw the basket she was holding, making her even more confused. 'Whatever.' Turning her attention back to the story Professor Lupa was telling, she hugged the pillow she was holding closer, closing her eyes so she could picture the story more clearly.

And now she had been spotted as well... Maybe she should just carry a large sign around so that everyone knew?

When the professor's and Kiri's eyes met, she hastily looked away and gulped down some more cocoa, completely misjudging the amount she'd put in her mouth. She collapsed in a series of silent coughs as she tried to clear her windpipe, and when Kiri was able to focus again, the professor was looking at the book and continuing with the story.

She took another one of the Healer's cookies. And a third. After they'd disappeared in her stomach (washed down with a few careful sips of hot cocoa), Kiri felt a little better for some reason. Oddly giddy, too. She considered lightly that she did not, in fact, really care if Professor Lupa had, well, figured her out. There was probably lots of gossip about the students being traded in the staff room.
Not that the professor did not have a lot of other things to care about.

Iris listened at Lupa carried on reading. She left her own party? Pshh... drama queen. She yawned and looked at Fallon, wondering what she thought of the story. She then looked to the door of the common room, as if she was hoping to see Aaron walk through it. Guess not. She looked at the cookie that had offered to her by the fruit cake of a school nurse. I'd much rather eat a cup cake or a muffin or something not made by her.

"I'm glad, make sure you take some cocoa and some cookies. Nurse Melita is an amazing baker." She said smiling.

She continued reading.

As she made her way down a corridor, she stopped and punched the wall.

“Your Majesssssty?” a voice hissed behind her.

The princess turned to see a painting, and in it a green, blinded basilisk twirling around a vine. On the frame of the painting, a faucet was affixed. “Were you speaking with me?” she asked.

“Yesssss. What isss wrong, on thissss the anniversssary of your birth?” The esses dances on the basilisk’s tongue.

Aaron went over to where his friends were sitting, but was imeadietly reminded of the awkwardness between he and Iris, so he sat down next to Fallon. "I can't believe we both made the team!!!" he said to her not to inturrupt the story. He then said to Iris, "Me and Fallon both made the Quidditch team!" He then talked to Fallon again. "Me and you are gonna rock! I can totally see us winning the cup!"

'Oo a Basilisk?' Evelyn thought, scooting the pillow even closer, smirking. She loved basilisks for some reason. 'Wasn't expecting that. Story just got one hundred percent more interesting.' Opening her eyes for a split second to take in her surroundings, still seeing everything the way it was a couple minutes ago, she squeezed them shut again, imagining the green basilisk painting.

Delana walked slowly into the common room, completely exhausted. Looking around she saw her fellow Slytherins crowding in one part of the room. She thought for a moment and walked over, suddenly remembering what someone had told her earlier...
"ohh... this must be that bedtime story thing..." she realized. Dropping her bag she sat down and leaned against the wall, hoping she hadn't missed too much of the story.

Bracken sat down on the outside of the group of Slytherins and listened to the story. It wasn't that interesting, but she didn't feel like making her way up to the dormitory. She wasn't tired and this was an excuse. Plus she wanted to see the behaivior of her other housemates.

Ahhhh so the introduction of the painting got to them... good!

She continued the story.


The princess told the painting, of the girl and the man…

“Why are you angry, your Majessssty?” The basilisk asked. “You are twice as pretty as her, and twice as rich…”

“I’m jealous… of him and of her. She hasn’t paid a bit of attention to me, she only has eyes for him and he for her. They are in love, and I want that.” The princess said.

Raiden had kinda spaced out for a minute, listening to the Professor's voice and staring at the floor just in front of his feet. However, he did notice the shifting near him when Kiri suddenly gulped down her hot chocolate. He snapped out of his daze and shifted his eyes to her; he hadn't realised she was next to him! His cheeks went pink and he reached out a hand to lightly pat her back, but she was done with her silent coughs before he could. Withdrawing the hand, he bit the inside of his cheek and looked instead at the professor as she read on.

Kiri had cute pajamas.

Reid sat listening to the story, not sure why he was there but enjoying it nonetheless. The story was kinda interesting and it was strange how the Professor's voice could make him lose focus on everything but the story that was being told. Reaching out he grabbed a few kukkies and quietly started to munch on them, careful not to get too many crumbs on his "pyjamas".

Lyra looked up very quickly when she heard the Professor's voice, but it wasn't part of the story. The second year blushed slightly and stammered a "eh, n-no that's ok.." It wasn't a secret gossip or anything that she had said to Evan. But what if the Nurse heard it? It was just a question, she knew that but Lyra thought the Nurse was weird..just as weird as Professor Lord Borr.

Focusing on the story again, Lyra lay on her side on the ground and used the pillow to hug it against her stomach. She closed her eyes to use her ear senses better and listened. The story was pretty fun. Lyra didn't really like the princess thing for she wasn't fond of princess stories. But when she heard Basilisk, her eyes flew open and looked towards the professor with interesting eyes. Basilisks are cool! .

Her mind wandered off to what her grandparents had told once. About that Potter guy who slayed a Basilisk in his second year and about a Chamber of Secrets. But they didn't know where it was for that stupid Potter had never told about it. Lyra bit her lip, how cool would it be to find the chamber again? if that Potter dude could find it in his second year , she could find it too! .....

Ok Lyra your fantasy is going loose. Get a grip. Lyra sighed and decided to lay down on her back , holding her arms under the back of her head and stared at the ceiling.....that clearly needed to be dusted.

The second year then realised something in the story. She shared similiar feelings with the princess. She too was jealous. Jealous about Evan and Fallon, but luckily Evan still talked to her so it wasn't so dramatic as the princess in the story. There was a long silence in her head that surprised even herself. She looked at Evan who sat beside her and then towards Fallon. Really, what is she doing? if i were Evan's girlfriend i would sit next to him, just like now. But we are just friends. I think...

A BASILISK! WOOHOO! ....ahem.

"Very well my dear..." This was fun... kids were listening and having a good time it seemed.

She continued reading.



“Then I ssssuggessssst you retrieve a few dropssss of thissss.” He said pointing to the faucet. “A few dropssss in hisssss pumpkin juice and he will have only eyessss for you for eternity.”

The princess conjured a cup and opened the faucet, taking 3 drops of the potion from the frame. She returned to the party and filled the cup with pumpkin juice. She sat and waited for the right moment.

But before that could happen, the peasant girl came skipping to her friend. “What’s wrong?” she asked her.

“Leave him, and return to live here.” The princess ordered.

Fallon smiled when Aaron came and sat by her. "I know! It's so awesome! Everyone else better watch themselves." She said giggling. She looked over at Evan and noticed Lyra was sitting next to him. She could feel the jealousy brewing up again. She turned back to her friends and said, "I'm gonna go sit by Evan for a bit." She was about to walk over there when she remembered something. "Oh, and I have to tell you guys something later involving Evan and me."

With that, Fallon grinned and walked over to where Evan and Lyra were sitting. She layed down on the other side of Evan on her stomach. "Hey. Sorry, had to tell them something. Guess what? I made the quidditch team!" She said excitedly to Evan. She knew he really wasn't that into it, but she was and they were dating knew, so it would only be right to tell him.

She then turned back to the story for only a moment. Lyra better not get any ideas. Fallon thought trying her hardest not to glare at the girl on the other side of Evan.

Aaron was happy when Fallon was happy, too. then she went over and sat by Evan. *snicker* Aaron was then left with a gap between he and Iris. Oh boy... He wen and laid on his stomach next to her. "Erm...Hi." He said awkwardly. He then looked up at professor Lupa and listened to the story for a minute. "What's this story about?" he said turning back to Iris.

Evan too blushed fiercefully when the professor talked to them directly. He had no intention to interrupt the story. His brain was frozen with shame when Lyra managed to say no. Relieve. Thank God her brain was stronger than his.

He felt sorry for the princess, she was blinded with jealousy! Aww. But she had to get over it too. He started to listen more intently now that a basilisk was involved. Wicked cool! But then again, could you expect less from a wizard story? He chuckled softly, trying to make as little voice as he could. But then looked bug-eyed. She would steal her best friend's husband! He almost gasped at the princess order, when something came and made noise. He grudginly turned to that way, and saw it was Fallon. His expression was immediately soft again, and he wondered why she hadn't... Oh, she had to tell something. Riight. He wondered what that "thing" was, but didn't dare to talk, he didn't want to, anyway.

But he was disturbed again, now by the idea of Fallon flying up there, trying not to fall down. And the chasers were the targets! He opened his mouth to beg, but saw she was really happy. Sigh. He forced a smile and shh'ed her, pointing at the professor. "Later." he said and once again turned back at the story. She too didn't care him at first, after all. He too wouldn't. Almost fighting in his brain to erase the images of a falling-down Fallon from a broomstick, he once again went away to the princess' castle.
