Ella smiled softly hearing exactly what she wanted to hear. Ella realized how late it was, and it was still his birthday. Warm and soft in his arms, Ella smiled into his chest. "You're getting me wrong. I'm.. happy-ccrying." Ella absolutely loved it when she was called El. It was like a shorter version of her short name.

Lorcan could hear Lexi shouting behind him and he stopped, whipping around to see her come down the steps of the owlery, his face set with fury. "ME grow up a bit? ME GROW UP A BIT? YOU HAVE GOT TO BE KIDDING!" He roared. "You're the pampered little princess who everyone bends over backwards to please!" he spat venomously. He drew his wand, slashing it through the air, sending a stinging hex at her. "Let's see how you like it!"

Lucky for Alexandra she had been in DADA the day Lawson taught them the Shield Charm. With a quick upward slash of her wand she blocked the hex Lorcan had sent at her. She watched it bounce off and hit the wall behind him and she nearly growled at him. Keeping her shield in place she narrowed her eyes at him and said, "I AM NOT A PAMPERED LITTLE PRINCESS! YOU ARE JUST AN ANGSTY LITTLE BOY THAT THINKS EVERYONE IS OUT TO GET HIM! YOU SERIOUSLY NEED TO CALM YOURSELF DOWN. QUARRELING WITH ME HAS NOT TURNED OUT IN YOUR FAVOR YET!" She could not believe how he was reacting to one damn conversation!

Trying to keep her voice down she said, "And the last time I checked no one was bending over backward for me. I am constantly having to watch what I say to you because I have no idea when you are going to turn into Nemean and slaughter the village so to speak."

When she deflected his hex, his anger surged. He concentrated and then continued to shout, "IS THERE ANY WONDER I EXPECT TO GET ATTACKED AROUND YOU? ALL YOU EVER DO IS ATTACK ME OR GIVE ME A REASON TO BE ANGRY! I CAN'T BELIEVE I WAS GOING TO TELL YOU I LO-" He stopped short and slashed his wand through the air again, focusing all his anger and hurt into the stinging hex.

"Protego!" Rafe shouted as he cast it in front of Alex against Lorcan's spell. "What the bloody 'ell is going on?" Rafe was just minding his own business when he heard all the shouting. Dueling in the hallways? Really? And for a professor to see.

Rafe kept his wand on Lorcan because he just cast the spell, but it looked like they were both out to hurt each other. He was curious as to what the argument was about.

When he nearly said a BIG word Lexi lost her concentration for a moment and the stinging hex he blasted at her broke her shield and nearly hit her hand, luckily Rafe was there to shield her from the spell. SHe turned to Rafe and gave him a small smile before turning back to Lorcan.

Tears of rage filled her eyes immediately and she yelled , "YOU BLOODY IDIOT! I CANNOT BELIEVE YOU JUST ATTACKED ME! I LOVE YOU, YOU WITLESS WONDER BUT THAT DOESN'T MATTER TO YOU DOES IT?! IT'S ALWAYS ABOUT YOU ISN'T IT"

Lexi then grabbed the bracelet off of her wrist and threw right at his face and dissolved into tears. Turning to Rafe again she said, "This moron attacked me for saying that I expect PEOPLE to hurt me. It was not a personal attack against him, whether he believes that or not. He is just a big mummy's boy that thinks I should coddle him, but I won't! "

Rafe looked from Lorcan to Lexi. He didn't quite but his wand away. He didn't like yelling. "Well, maybe we could talk it out..." Rafe suggested like some sort of 100 galleons per hour therapist. "Start with, 'I feel this when you do this'" Rafe suggested to Lexi. "You two are friends, you shouldn't be hexing one another."

Lorcan saw his spell break through Lexi's shield and immediately his rage turned to guilt. He started forwards towards her, but stopped when she started to shout again. "YOU DON'T LOVE ME! IF YOU YOU'VE ME, YOU'D TRUST ME!" He retorted angrily.

The bracelet hit him in the face and before he could catch it, it had fallen to the floor, where it broke. The beads bounced and then spilled across the floor. He crouched down, trying to scoop them up. When he heard Lexi call him a mummy's boy he fell backwards, the beads bouncing on the floor again. "How could you say that?" his voice was filled with raw hurt, as though her words had sliced through him like a knife. "She's all I have, how could you say that?" A tear ran down his cheek.

She felt like spitting, she was so mad! She wanted to stop the tears also, but they continued to run down her face liberally. She looked at rafe, lip quivering and said, "I never wanted to hurt him. I want to go now. Losing a boyfriend and best friend all in one really hurts!

Rafe asked. He didn't really like that Lexi had called Lorcan a momma's boy. Rafe could totally relate, it was only him and his mum. Maybe if he could get them to focus and remember why they are friends to bring them together once more.
