"Sounds good." Carter said following her back into the common room.

Kris peeked around the corner.

The coast was clear. He had been looking for a place to sit and plan some pranks, but there were people and teachers EVERYWHERE! Did these people not SLEEP!?

He took a spot on the floor against the wall and began to empty his pockets of all the tricky and michevious things he had stashed there.

Feuer was flying lazy loops overhead, belly full of some mice Kris had tossed him earlier. This hallway flying and too many mice were making him fat! He needed to do some real flying...

Alex walked out of her common room, arrayed in her best clothes, her heels did not clack against the ground, in fact they made no noise at all. Her long hair was up in a ponytail and she was even smiling sorta.. She was lost in her thoughts when a flash of red caught her eye and she looked up.
"Feuer!" She exclaimed looking up, before moving her gaze down..

"Kris!" She said smiling as she went to stand in front of him. "Hey stranger, long time no see." She grinned at him.

Nate leaned against the wall in his Muggle clothes, consiting of skinny jeans and a v-neck cotton t-shirt. He sat on the window sill and leaned his head back. He closed his eyes and sighed.

Fallon was aimlessly walking through the castle when she reached the seventh floor. She spotted Nate leaning up against the wall with his eyes closed. She tip-toed up to him quietly and said, "Hi Nate. Whatcha doin?"

Nate kind of jumped when she said that. He fell off the windowsill and onto the floor. "Hey! I was 'resting'!" he said trying to get himself on his feet.

Fallon started to laugh as Nate jumped. "Sorry about that. Here, let me help you up." She reached out her hand and pulled Nate to his feet. Out of random habit, she fixed her shirt. Why did I just do that?! She mentally slapped her forehead and looked at Nate. "So what are you up to, besides resting that is."

Nate wondered why she fixed her shirt after he helped him up but didn't really care. "I like your shirt. It brings out your, I mean. It's cute." he said trying not to flirt with her. It seemed like he flirted with every girl that came along. But Kylie was the only one who cared about him in the same way he cared about her.

"Thanks," Fallon said looking down at it. She tried not blush because Evan and Aaron were the only other guys that complimented her. She looked at Nate. "So how've you and Kylie been?" Remember, you have to give her her bracelet back.

"Ok. I guess. She has been acting all werid since the other day. She hasn't been talking to me that much and she is being werid. I don't know." he said looking at his shoes. "I was going to buy her a replacement braclet but you can't tell her."

Fallon nodded her head as Nate explained. "You don't have to get her a replacement bracelet. I was going to give it back to her the other day, but you guys walked off before I could. Here," she dug around in her bag until she pulled out the bracelet. "You can give it back to her. Just tell her I thought the gesture was nice, but I could never keep it."

Nate put his hands up so she couldn't put it in his hands. "Either you give it to her or you keep it. She would cry forever if I gave it to her. She thinks you deserve it. She thinks she is a jealous witch, not literally, for what she did."

"Oh, okay," Fallon said, placing the bracelet back in her bag. "I'll make sure to give it back to her personally later. I wouldn't feel right if I kept it." She looked around the deserted hallway, as if looking for something to say. She came up with nothing.

"Ok. Want to get out of this stuffy hallway?" he said noticing it had become very stuffy. She was very close and the hallway was rather tiny. He could feel her breath.

"Sure. Where do you want to go then?" Fallon started to notice how close they were to each other. She tried not to blush or to think about it.

"Let's go to the Courtyard or something." he said trying to push his thought to the back of his mind.

"Okay. That's like my favorite place in the whole school, besides the Slytherin Common Room that is." Fallon smiled at Nate. She grabbed his arm and began to pull him down the hall. "Let's go!"

Hearing his name, Kris shook his head to clear his thoughts and looked around.

Alex! How are you? It's been waay to long.

He bounced up and gave her a big hug.

Sitting against the wall, Torin couldn't believe that he was actually trying to re-read Twilight. But his sister had convinced him to try it again, saying that it really was a good series. Personally he thought that Edward and Bella were rather lame to say the least. And the werewolves...

Just the thought of them made him angry.

Alex walked out of her common room, a package in hand. She was determined to find Torin, and to give him the present for his little sister. She sighed, this would not be easy. The change in her appearance in just a week was dramatic, to say the least.

She was thinner, in fact she resembled on of those models who looked like they had never eaten in their lives. Her clothes just hung on her now. Her normally pale complexion was now deathly white. Her skin had a waxen look to it, like she was made out of a candle, and not flesh and bone. But the biggest change was her face.

Her normally sparkaling gray eyes now looked dead and hollow, dark circles hovered underneath her eyes, and her cheekbones stuck out in an unhealthy way. This had been the hardest thing she had had to deal with since her parents left, and it was taking it's toll on her. She wasn't sleeping, nor was she eating. She couldn't.. She felt dead inside.. Dead, hollow and hopeless.

Her steps halted as she saw the object of her affection and misery sitting against a wall close to where she was. The mere sight of him made her fragile heart rip to shreds again, but she willed her feet to move.

"This is for your sister." Even her voice had suffered and had lost its musical quality. She stood in front of him, holding the package down for him to get.

"Why do these bloody Vampires glitter in the sunlight?" he muttered aloud with a roll of his eyes right before he heard someone speak to him.

Still absorbed in his book, he reached out his hand and took whatever it was from the person. "Thank you..." er wait, who was this? He couldn't recognize the voice, he just heard that they had something for his sister.

Casting his glance up from the book he saw that it was... "Alex?" She didn't look anything like how she had before.

"Thank you. She will appreciate it."

Alex nodded as Torin seemed to have a hard time figuring out it was her. "Yes, it is me." She said as she looked down at her. She bit her lip and tried not to cry.

"You are welcome, There is some play clothes in there, as well as a recorder. No drums, just like I promised." Alex took a deep and somewhat quavering breath. He didn't know how hard it was just to stand here.

"How are you?" The question was soft.

He looked at the box as she told him what was in it. She had kept her word. "You are very kind."

How was he? Terrible. It hurt him just to look at her right now because he knew that he was the reason she looked the way she did. "I'm feeling like banging my head against the wall again. Silly Muggle books." He mustn't though. He might start losing brain cells if he kept at it.

"You want to sit down?" He patted the floor beside him with his hand. She looked like she needed to sit.

Alex nodded at his words, she couldn't smile. She could hardly remember what it felt like to smile. "Well I did say I was going to get something for her. I can't go back on my word."

"What book are you reading?" She asked as she looked at the book in his hand. "Twilight? Edward is annoying, seriously who dazzles people like that? And Bella, such a loser." She sighed a little. "Don't bang your head against the wall, you can't lose more brain cells." She responded as she felt her legs twitching. This felt so right, so natural just being here and talking with him, yet it was tearing her apart.

"Yes, I will." She slid down the wall and sat next to him, it felt like pieces of her shattered heart were lying next to her. How could he do this to her? Her eyes closed and she could feel a choking sensation start to take over her. Tears that had long been dried up were resurfacing.

True enough. He smiled at her before placing the box on the ground on the other side of him.

And it seemed that she felt the same way about it as he did. "I'm only rereading this because my sister wanted me too. I can't stand Edward. Him and Bella. They call this a romance. Pfft." He rolled his eyes at the book again and watched as she sat down beside him.

He wasn't sure what to say to her. "Do you want to come with me when I send the gift off? I just want to finish this chapter first." He had to read all the books. Because he told Dani he would. Personally he thought she secretly wanted him to suffer.
