Carter smiled. "It's alright. Don't worry about it. I was happy to be there when you needed someone to talk to." he said assuming that she was referring to the situation with her dad. "Have you written back yet?" he asked.

"Um n-no." she began shaking her head, "I wasn't talking about that. You know, jus-just forget it." Tori looked away to hide her expression of seeming defeat, "I didn't write back. Not yet, I've been busy." she said with a less upbeat tone. she cleared her throat and sharply threw her head back, looking up at Carter,"You know I really thought that I could this better than my owl but I can't. You're a smart guy. I thought you would have figured it out by now. Why would my owl, who I can communicate with, bring you a 'forget-me-not' flower? I freaked out because i thought you would have figured it out." Tori exploded, in fierce whisper, trying not to be loud yet get everything out. Her face had gone pink and she soon realized that she was pacing. She stopped and looked to Carter, anticipating whatever he had to say.

Miles sat on the Room of Requirement floor trying to stay awake. Trying...being the operative word. With a yawn he leaned against a wall and started dozing off waking at every little noise that might've been the door to his common room. His eyes drifted closed again and he found himself drifting further to sleep every so often a noise would seep into his dream like state and he mentally groaned. Didn't people know he was trying to sleep!!

Just as it seemed he would finally get some sleep he felt an elbow in his ribs and he sat up swiftly. "What was that for?" Oh right they were watching. No...they had found. Squeezing open the door slightly more he looked out and hid a chuckle as he saw shoe girl without the shoes. Wait...who was that with her? Now this is getting more and more interesting. Looking at Fia he nodded his head toward her indicating that when they moved they should follow.

Carter just stood and blinked a couple times watching Tori pace. Why was she mad at him all of a sudden...? "I'm... uh... sorry?" he offered wondering if that was 'the right answer.' Wait... did that have something to do with the divination lesson on flowers? He tried racking his brain trying to remember what that flower meant. He was pretty sure that his face looked as blank as his thoughts were. "Oh yeah." he said when he finally remembered. "It was love right? I love you too." he said happily. "You are my best friend and my first ever magical friend." he said. "You are always going to be special to me. I've noticed that you don't like hanging out with Ella much." he said. "Please don't worry about it. You are always going to be special to me. I'm not replacing you or anything."

Tori blushed deeply, "Really?" she squealled."I'm relieved to hear you say that. Truly.With all this madness, I manage to find someone here, just like me. You have no idea, how grateful I am to have you, Carter as my best friend." She began babbling again. With one deep inhale, her face became grave, "I know I haven't been around and it's true it's because of Ella. But I guess I could be a little bit nicer and tell Artimus not to attack her again." Tori said shyly. Then a impish smile crept on her face, "The little furry troublemaker wants to see you again. She likes you." Tori nudged him playfully in the stomach. "So..."

"Shhhhhhhhh," Fia quieted Miles down as he woke up. She gave him a stern look until he figured out what was going on and then at that point, she couldn't help but giggle. If there was one thing, he was MOODY if and when someone waking him up! WOWWW!

And then she looked back to the other girl who was moving and seemed to be waiting on Mercer, Shoe Girl. She turned to Miles and whispered ever so quietly, "You think they are about to leave?"

Carter smiled. "Really." he said happily. "And that would be great if we could all hang out. Ella is a really fun girl. You'd like her if you gave her a chance. In fact, I have an idea. I promised one of my Ravenclaw friends we'd have a snowball fight. She hasn't had much luck making friends because she's such a bookworm. You guys can team up on me. It'll be fun."

Adrienne had been starting to wonder if she was going to have to wait all night, and then abandon the plan for another day. Seeing as they couldn't very well accomplish it during the day. But then finally she saw movement from the Gryffindor common room entrance, and tensed a little until Ainsley spoke, thereby verifying it was her. "I totally agree, but then they also can't have had as much excitement in getting to where they needed to go," she said in a low voice, accompanied by an odd smirk as the thought of what they were about to do crossed her mind again. Standing up again, she made sure she was ready to levitate the boxes again before returning her gaze to her co-conspirator. "Of course. Let's get this done and back to our dorms before anyone can see us," she replied, still in a low voice, as she recast her spell and the boxes started to float behind her before she shifted so they would precede her down the stairwell. The quicker they could finish, the more likely it was they'd be able to evade suspicion. Which of course was part of the whole plan. They couldn't do what Copernicus asked if they were in detention, or at least it would be ten times harder. If they even just got detention.

"Very true," Ainsley answered back as quietly and low as her companion had both girls unaware of watchers. She nodded as the older girl's words knowing it would be best for reasons other then the obvious of avoiding trouble. They had a duty to go through with and it was best left done before others realised what was happening. Making sure that her boxes were still all floating behind her, the Gryffindor followed Adrienne as they moved down the hall and worked down the stairs they needed to go to their destination.

Fia's eyes widened as she stayed as still as she could. Her fingers grasped a part of Miles' shirt as she was more than excited at this very moment. The question was, what was in the boxes and where were they going, andddddddddddd...why were they hiding? She would definitely have to thank Miles for paying close attention to Mercer. Quickly as the girls made their wait down the hallway, Fia waited until they were out of hearing distance and began to follow them, making sure to keep Miles right behind her.

Miles looked at Fia as she shushed him and stuck his tongue out at her childishly. Looking back at the two shifty girls in the hall he looked at them curiously. What were they up to with all those boxes... "Well I don't think they're going to stand there holding those..." he said before they were on the move.

Pushing himself up with a yawn he followed behind Fia as they followed them to wherever they were going.

Tori pretended to think about it,"Hmm, I don't know." she said thoughtfully before an impish smile flickered at the corner of her mouth, "We're gonna murder you."

Carter laughed. "And I'm okay with that." he said with a smile. "So what are you going to do about your dad?" he asked.

"Sorry to interrupt," Ella blushed, creeping up on Tori and Carter. "I was wondering where Mina was? Would you guys know?"

She hadn't meant to intervene. Her mind was still full of that crazy music in the common room. Bop, bop, bop..

"...But...I thought...oh, never mind." Grr. HE TOTALLY AGREED WITH HER!! If he gave in, then he agreeeeeees. Duh! Oh, well. Not everyone could match her high level of intelligence and agree with everything she says.

"It was pretty cool!! Although, I wonder why exactly he created that thing. It's not like it'd lead to groundbreaking stuff." But then again, Lucy could be wrong. Even the littlest things in muggle history led to big thing. But still...moose head, witch hat, invisibility..HEH? What could that possible lead to? Then again, William was just a 13 year old kid with a curious (and naive) mind.

"Ya know, Torin, I think someday we're going to be best friends! And then you'll be yelling 'sock monkey' with me!! Heehee!!" Lucy looked up at the ceiling as she laughed, and grinned widely. Boy, that would be a cool future! A best friend!! "Wouldn't that be cool, Torin?!" she said, looking back down at Torin.

"Thank you! You should start skipping, too. Skipping is tons of fun!" she walked beside Torin, and then began skipping a few steps. "Skip...skip...skip...You know how to skip, right Torin?" she said, turning around to skip back to Torin.

"I don't know. I've been thinking about it alot. I don't want to but I'll write back I'm just not ready to see him yet." she sighed heavily under the burden of that situation, "I'm definitely writing back to my mom and tell her every crazy thing that has happened..." Tori was interupted by another voice. A slight heat rose inn her ears as she recognized the voice.

"Hi Ella." she said politely as Tori turned to face the girl with piercing yet non- venomous eyes, "Mina, no, haven't seen her but I'll let her know that you're looking for her if I do see her. Ok?"

"It looks like time and patience will be my coaches for this one." Tori said to Carter with a sly expression on her face.

Carter nodded and listened to Tori talk. "Yeah. Let me know if I can do anything for you." he said. Then Ella came out. "Nope, haven't seen her. Sorry."

"You maybe there is something..." she said with the expression of an ongoing thought, "Well, I've never spoken to my dad, ever and I truly don't know what to say to him. Can you help me write my letter?" Tori honestly didn't know what she could say to her father, politely. She wanted one of two things where he was concerned right now; either to be left alone or to tell him a piece of her mind in not so kind words. But she knew that it would disappoint her mother and deep down somewhere, it would disappoint herself. So she had to be impartial and polite in the letter.

"'Kay, thanks guys," Ella smiled, swiftly walking out of the corridor. MINA, OH MIIIIINA!!

Carter smiled. "I'd be happy to help. It looks like Ella is off so if you wanted to do it now we could." he said to her. He wasn't sure if she wanted more time to think or not.

Tori stared after Ella as she hurried off to find Mina. "Ok. I'm not in the frame of mind to study anymore anyway." she said turning back to Carter.

"So what do you want to do?" Carter asked Tori. "It looks like Ella is off to hang out with Mina so you may have me all to yourself."

"I guess I show you my soccer and tennis collection. You interested. Mom just sent me some new ones and i haven't added them yet." Tori remarked with much enthusiasm.

"Sure. Sounds great." Carter replied.

"Great. Let's head back to the common room and I'll run up to dorm for them. You can help me put them in." she remarked, her eyes lighting up.
