This was true.... and that was one thing that had been hard to mentally disagree with Blake on - why would one of the first things she said to him be that she was going out with somebody? After they had kissed before Christmas?? And it really wasn't her fault at all, as Blake had kissed her after she'd barely said hello. I know, she said, replying to both statements, her tears nearly stopping as he kissed her lightly on the cheek. I just feel like the biggest jerk right now, she added, her voice clearly showing how miserable she felt with herself at the moment. And still she felt worse about this!! Why was it that everytime she was upset, she felt like that was even worse than hiding what she felt??

Chris nodded it didn't make sense to just blurt that out at someone. But then a old thought came back to him this wasn't the first time Lena and Blake had kiss was it. He hated to ask this now but it wasn't like he was going to get mad at her because that would just be stupid. "Lena....this wasn't the first time you two had kissed was it?" He asked still holding tight to her. He nodded he actually knew how that felt and hated for Lena to have to go through that. "I know Lena. You really care about Blake. That's why I was a bit shock about us being together. I honestly thought that you were so much more into Blake that you had pretty much forgot about those feelings for me." He to her honestly. Though if she would have picked Blake he would have to be okay with that sense he just wants the best for her. "But I know how you are feeling and I'm sorry I wish you didn't have to know what that felt like." He said.

At this question, Lena's tears subsided altogether. This wasn't how she would have liked this to come about.... A couple days into term, we were in the common room and it sort of just.... Lena knew Chris would pick it up that his assumption was right, but then she pulled back from him slightly to look at him. I liked Blake. He's a good guy, but I was never more into him than you. I just never thought anything like this would happen.... she trailed off again. Damn. Of course Chris knew what she was going through, but why did it have to be so? She hugged him once more.

So he was right. Why did he have to be right. Chris didn't want to think of Lena kissing anybody else. But she knew about Melinda....He just nodded. "That's what I thought." He said not wanting to go into more detail about it. Chris felt her pull away from him and he did the same. It was odd to talk to her and not really being able to see her because of the darkness. "I know I never expected this either. That's why I told you to go with Blake. I thought this wouldn't happen and that you would have been happier with him." He said quietly. True this is what he thought though it was sort of stupid to think now. He felt Lena hugging him again and he hugged her back. "If Blake truely cares about you like he said then he will understand."

Helena had a small sad frown on her face; she felt miserable now - great, she'd given Chris a total mental picture of her kissing Blake... I sure hope so... I wish there was some way to ease his pain,though... Lena trailed off, lost in her own thoughts as she shook her head slightly. It was odd not actually being able to see him, but she knew that it was getting late and if they left now, she would have to go back to her own common room to avoid the deathday party she was already avoiding.

Chris couldn't take not seeing Lena anymore so he once again said the spell "Lumos" and his wand gave off enough light for him to see her. He nodded. "I know. But there is'nt which sucks." Chris said with a slight sigh. "Now you know how I felt last term and it is'nt much fun at all." He said taking her hand. "But I promise I'm here when ever you need me." He said smiling sightly.

Lena picked her head up once more to look at Chris as he gave them some light; there will still tear tracks glistening on her cheeks beneath her eyes, which were slowly turning back to green once more, but none of thids bothered Lena, as she couldn't see it for herself. Only a faint hint of purple remained in her eyes as Chris took her hand. I need you, she whispered, reaching up her free hand to lightly touch his cheek, before, for right or wrong, Lena kissed him more deeply than she previously had. And she knew that was where she was supposed to be.

Chris smiled when he saw Lena's eyes where almost all green. "I need you too" He told her but then that touch on his cheek made his heart melt. But ohhh no she didn't just kiss him. Gosh how much he wanted to stay in the kiss but he didn't need to get in trouble for this again. So he quickly pulled out and looked at Lena with a sorry look. "You do know about the 'No kissing rule' right?" He asked but aor quotes around no kiss rule.

Lena was a bit surprised as Chris pulled back from her, but then... ahh. Stupid, dumb rule. Lena blushed at forgetting this. I'm sorry, she mumbled, I never really had to think about it before... Suuuuper hard blush...

Chris watched Lena go all blushed on him. He chuckled slightly. "Hey it's alright. I just didn't want us to get in trouble or something." He said to her and stroked his thumb across the back of her hand he was still hold and kept his wand light in the other so he could see her.

Lena's green eyes closed lightly as Chris stroked the back of her hand and it sent shivers up her spine. Ahh, first blushing, now this?? Lena was absolutely no good at any of this kind of stuff - gah. As her eyes reopened a few seconds later, she smiled, though. I hope the dungeons flood again, she said with a small grin.

Chris laughed lightly at Lena's wishes. "I don't think that will happen again honestly." He said smiling as he stopped stroking her hand. "I think that was a one time deal." He told her. But then wait he remember something he had in his pocket. "Oh right I never gave you your Christmas present now did I?" He asked as he let go of her hand and reached into his pocket pulling something out keeping his hand close so she couldn't see. "Would you like it now?" He asked with a sly smile across his face his hand still in a fist.

Lena's grin stayed slightly though she sighed at his words. Unfortunately, I know, she said, finally grimacing smally. Then at his words her eyebrows rose slightly, but she was smiling wide again. Okay, she said slowly and quietly, her smile becoming a bit skeptical at his words.

Good. Chris smiled wide to Lena and opened his hand taking the necklace inside it so it was hanging and he shined his wand on it for her to see. Yes this could be quite corny in some ways...On the necklace was a small silver key. "It's the key to my heart." He told Lena still smiling. This wasn't quite the way he wanted give this to her in a dark passage way but if he didn't give it to her now he would probably keep forgetting....

Helena watched with interest as Chris smiled wide, and she smiled wider as well. And then from his hand a beautiful necklace with a small silver key was dangling. Lena looked up at Chris just as he spoke and she almost melted on the spot. That was.... that was.... Chris, that's.... Lena shook her head in slight disbelief. That was truly the sweetest thing she'd ever seen.

When Lena couldn't say anything Chris didn't know if that was good or bad. "Sooo I'm guessing you're speechless because you don't know what to say 'cause you like it." He said with a small smile hoping she would say yes. And not think he was a complete dork or something. Sure he knew it wasn't as good as her gift. She had bought him a car! But it's the thought that counts right????

Lena finally pulled her eyes off of the necklace a moment to look up at Chris as he spoke. Then she chuckled and nodded, letting a small smile of her own appear on her face. Her eyes returned to the necklace as she reached up and turned the key over lightly in her hand while it dangled by the chain Chris was still holding. Chris-- Lena shook her head again before letting out a small chuckle. My, she was no good at speaking today. It's absolutely amazing, she managed out as she looked up at him once more.

That's what he wanted to hear. He smiled wide to Lena and nodded. "That's good." He told her. "Here." He said as he moved behind her placing the chain around her neck and closed the necklace. "Sorry it's a bit late." He said still from behind as he wrapped his arms around her. Yes it was now January and Christmas was almost a month ago but better late then never....

Helena smiled when Chris said it was good that she thought it was amazing - well, it was! As he moved behind her to put the necklace on her, Lena pulled her dark curls up slightly so they wouldn't get caught, letting them fall once more when she heard it shut. That's okay, she said with a small smile, It's really no problem. Feeling his arms around her once more, her smile grew slightly and she placed both of her hands lightly on his arms and leaned into him, her green eyes shutting for a moment as she held back a sigh. I'm never giving it back, you know, she said quietly after a moment.

Chris nodded when Lena said it was no big deal. "Just with everything that happened I just forgot and I felt bad." He told her. He then felt her lean back in to him and he smiled softly and remainded holding her. Chris chuckled slightly at her words. "I didn't think you would." He told her just as quiet. "When I'm gone next term you will still have something to remember me by. Even though I will be writing and visiting you as much as possible." He told her kissing her cheek softly again.

Lena nodded slightly as well; that made perfect sense.... but then Chris brought up next term.... next term - gosh, how badly she didn't even want to think about that. The sigh that was remaining on her tongue escaped her lips at these words despite Chris kissing her cheek softly. I don't need anything to remember you by, she mumbled, turning slightly in his arms to lean sideways against him with her head on his shoulder.

Sigh awwww he didn't want to make her sighhhh. Chris felt all bad as Lena turned sideways in his arms and rested her head on his shoulder. He held her a bit tigher and rested his own head on the wall behind him. "I know you don't. But when you are feeling lonely or miss me you will always have a part of me." He told her trying to comforte her a little. "I will really miss you the most Lena." He said honestly.

Lena nodded slightly, but she closed her green eyes once more, trying not to think about anything but Chris's tightening arms.... and that did make her feel quite a bit better.... I know, she said after a moment, answering his first question before hearing his second. At those words, her eyes reopened and searched his as she lifted up her head to see him. I'll miss you, too, she said quietly, So much more than you know. Lena put her arms around him and hugged him to her tightly.

Why did this feel like Chris had been through this before. Ohhhh right he had with Mel....He felt Lena hug him tight. "I think I have an idea of how much you will miss me." He told her softly. He still held her in his arms not wanting to let go. At least not yet anyways...."I think we will just have to deal with that when the time comes. Unless you want to talk about it now." He suggested. Not that he really wanted to. But either way he didn't care.

Lena smiled weakly as Chris said he had an idea of how much she'd miss him, which was probably true. No, later is fine. I don't want to think of you leaving when I still have you, she said, her smile flickering up briefly again before dying once more. Ahhh.... nothing could be that easy now could it? Staying right there seemed perfectly good to Lena at the moment....
