He enjoyed her laugh and how she wasn't self concoius of herself. He liked that in a girl. "Anywhere you want. Except here." he said with a wink.

"Ah, okay fine. How 'bout Hosmeade? Always a nice place to be." Ella looked about the corridor. Boy, it was stuffy. Not very large, either. She just then realized how close she was standing to him.

Nate felt kind of close to her and tried to back up. He did have a girlfriend after all. After what had happened a few days ago with her he didn't want a repeat. Nate blushed and said "Umm...after you!" He ran his fingers threw his hair. He didn't know what to do. This was his first girlfriend and he didn't want to mess it up.

Ella backed away a little also, feeling a bit uncomfortable, then took the lead and headed to main street at Hogsmeade.

Nate followed her to Hogsmeade.

Yet again Torin found himself with a pile of books around him. But this time he was trying to figure out how to do his potions. How was he supposed to write 8 inches on this stuff?

He sighed and started writing.

Reese, who was showing off her 'I did NOT want to straighten this morning' hair-style, made her way down the corridor with a picture in her hand. The picture that she was looking at was an old picture of her from a few years ago when she went brunette for the first time, but the only difference was that her hair was much shorter than it was now. Sighing, she tilted her head at the picture at she continued to walk. To shorten her hair or to not shorten her hair? That was the question. She was liking having long hair, but then again, she kind of liked the way it looked when it was short.

It didn't take long before looking at the picture and walking at the same time became a HORRIBLE idea...

"EEEEP."

Her feet had tripped over something that was in the way and Miss Upstead fell forward onto the floor, letting go of the picture as she fell. If only the floor wasn't rock hard, then maybe that fall wouldn't have hurt as much as it did. The Slytherin lifted her head, and then brushed the curls out of her face so that she was able to see what she had tripped on.

Books? BOOKS?! This was a joke.

"For the love of merlin," she hissed. "Who puts piles and piles of bloody books in a place where people walk?" HMM? Her brown eyes finally landed on the culprit of this nonsense.

"Torin..." She pushed her upper body off the ground, so she was still sitting down, but she was able to see her friend better. "What are you doing? No, better question, why aren't you in the Library with all these books? You do know the Library is the place to, er, study...right?" She looked back down at her knee and began to rub it, still not noticing Torin's new hair. "My knee hurts," she randomly added. Well, it did.

Torin's pen scribbled against the page as suddenly Reese was practically yelling at him, ruining his train of thought and startling him.

"Oh, sorry about that," he replied distractedly as he ran his hand through his hair. He sorta had a headache now from thinking too much.

Why wasn't he in a library? Good question.

"Because um... Because I'm not." There. Simple as that. He looked at Reese and saw that she seemed to be okay.

Yeah, uh hu, you better be sorry. Of course, Reese didn't actually say that to Torin's face, but she was thinking it. After rubbing her painful knee, she picked up a nearby book and looked at the title of it. "Potions for Beginners," she read out loud. "Are you serious? So, you are studying about Potions for your OWLs, aren't you?" A little smile formed on her face as she looked back at Torin, and then she placed the book back on the ground on top of one of the fallen stacks of books that she had crashed into.

"That's a good reason," she sarcastically replied. Her attention caught the picture she had let go of and before she said anything else, she picked the picture of and quickly placed it inside her robe pocket. Looking right back at Torin, she finally noticed his curly hair.

OH MY GOODNESS.

"C-curly haiiiiiiiiiiiir," she squealed as she pointed at his head. "You have curly hair, Mr. Greek Boy."

He decided that it was safest for him to just ignore her tone and sarcasm and answer her question straight. "Doing my Potions essay. And then I'll study for the Potions OWL. Killing two birds with one stone." He winked at her.

And why was she squealing?

"Yes, I told you I have curly hair." He shrugged at her.

"Killing two birds with...huh? What does that mean?" Reese asked with a confused expression on her face. That saying sounded quite familiar like she had her someone in her family say it before, but she never actually knew what it meant.

"Lemme touch it! It looks so fluffy," she said as she scooted over closer to the Hufflepuff and then took her hand and felt his fluffy, curly hair. Hehe. "I like it," she commented. "You should keep it like that forever!"

Oh, right. Muggle expression. "It means getting two things done at the same time. So I'd be doing my Potions homework and studying for the OWL at the same time to get them out of he way." Sort of a lame explanation, but it was the best he could do without risking making her more confused.

And now she was touching his hair. No, that wasn't weird. "I'm glad you like it. I'm not sure if I'm going to keep it though. I just got too lazy to cut it." He shrugged.

"Oh. So, that's what it mean! I've heard some of my family say that before," Reese said. "I've just, you know, never asked them what it means. If you remember Keith, yeah, I think he's mom said it before if I remember correct." Her Aunt talks A LOT and it's hard to remember everything she says, so she could just think she think she heard her say it before, but seriously, it did sound familiar.

NOOOOOOOOO. "But...but...," she pouted. "I want you too keep it like this! So, if I ever have kids, they will grow up seeing you with long, curly, cute hair instead of the short hair." Good reason? Psssssh. IT WAS! "Oh, come on, Torin," she added.

He listened to her explain and figured that she was making sense in not wanting to ask. Because sometimes his parents sad things he didn't get and he didn't really want to bother asking about. But wait... who was Keith? "Keith? I have no idea who that is."

And what? "Reese. Your kids should love Uncle Torin no matter how his hair looks." Yes, he was going to be Uncle Torin. Because he said so.

"You don't know Keith?" Reese asked. "Oh, I thought you did. Well, he's just my dorkish cousin who is a third year Slytherin right now. Not the mention he has this weird fear of corn." Yeaaaah, she always had to mention Keith's fear of the food when she explained who he was. It was just a very unique fear. It was just like Lima's fear of oranges! Silly people with their silly fears of food.

"Uncle Torin," she repeated with a grin. "I don't know if my kids are going to call you Uncle." They were already going to have three Uncles as it was: Jake, Dale, AND Ryan. "Anyways, that's not what we were talking about, we were talking about your hair," she said. "Don't get me off subject!" Which, would happen if she continued to talk about her kids calling him Uncle Torin. "So, you really are thinking of not keeping it curly?" She questioned him.

He shrugged, not really knowing if he had ever even sen the kid before. He was probably shy or something. Or he just didn't like hanging with Reese. Or the other way around. "He's afraid of corn?" Craz people with their weird phobias. But then he was afraid of Kazi, so he couldn't really talk.

"I'm Uncle Torin or the hair goes today." He went back to writing as if that settled it. And it sorta did. He wasn't going to give her what she wanted if she wouldn't give him what he wanted. It was only fair.

Reese slowly nodded her head. "He's afraid of corn," she stated.

She leaned back against the wall and crossed her arms. "Fine! You can be Uncle Torin," she told him. "As long as you keep your hair curly like that until I graduate...or at least until the end of this term." As she waited for his reply, she picked up another Potion booked and flipped through the pages. Hmm. By the looks of it, she was going to need to study Potions a lot for the NEWTs. She barely remembered this stuff!

"Oh, Torin," she abruptly said. "I think I know what I'm going to go when I graduate. I want to get my own contract for singing, but the problem is, the studio where my band has a contract at think I won't do a good job going off by myself. They think I'm better off staying with the band. She rolled her eyes, and then closed the Potions book.

Alex was crying, no she was more like sobbing, curled up in a window seat on the 2nd floor. Her head buried in her knees crying her little eyes out. Her sobs were soundless though, and the only way anyone could tell that she was crying was that her entire body was shaking.

She knew she was an idiot. To fall in love with Torin Kane, and yet she had. And even worse, she had told him. Only to be rejected, in the nicest possible way.. but rejected still.

Her heart hurt, there was an intense ache in her chest, that wouldn't go away. It felt as if it was breaking into tiny little pieces and all she could do was hold on and let it happen. She had never felt this way toward a boy before. Never. She felt like her heart had no longer been hers, but had belonged to Torin. She could still feel the cruel sting of rejection, that had broken her.

She thought she had been used to rejection, first with her mother, than father, Kel, Damon and finally Torin. But she was learning one never got used to this heart wrenching, gut stabbing, mind altering pain that came with it.

Her body started to convulse more violently as tears poured down her face at a rapid rate. She was broken, alone and empty.

And no one could fix her.

Aly skipped along the corridor, humming to herself. She was bored and there was nothing to do. She couldn't find Jude and that saddened her. She stopped and sighed, running her hand through her hair. "Maybe I'll go to the library.." She mumbled, starting to turn around, but stopped.

Was that sniffling? No. That was sobbing. Oh no. Someone was really upset.

She turned back around, trying to find the source of the noise. She took a couple more steps and found it. It was a girl. She was curled up on one of the window seats, sobbing her heart out.

Aly aproached the girl and tapped her on the shoulder gently. "Are you okay?" She asked, searching her pockets for a handkerchief. Once she found it, she held it out, just in case the girl lifted her head and wanted it.

Alex barely heard a voice through her sadness. She just waved a hand motioning for the person to move on. She was in no mood to talk to anyone right now, especially a stranger. "I'm fine." The voice that came from Alex was anguished. "Just leave me alone."

She never raised her head from her knees, she just kept quietly sobbing, wishing her sister, her brothers, Kel, Damon.. anyone she knew could jsut come and wrap her in a hug and tell her it would be okay.

"You're not fine." Aly told the girl, laying the handkerchief on the bench next to the girl. She sighed and sat down next to the girl, looking at her curled up form. "I can't leave someone who's crying. Even if you don't tell me what's wrong..just please...." She trailed off and nibbled on her bottom lip. "I..I don't like seeing people cry..Do you want to talk about it? Do you want a hug? I know it's weird that you don't know me...but...I'm a good listener.."

Shuffle shuffle, climb the stairs. Warren just returned back from Hogwarts after his mum passing away due to dementor attacks. That was 2 people they killed now.. they took his older brothers life away a year ago. He reached the second floor and noticed Alex.. it looked like she was crying.. it was his time to shine, he walked in.
''Alex? what...whats up? is it...Tor'' As he was about to say Torins name.. he suddenly stopped. He rushed over to here and hugged her. ''There There. You have me, im back'' Though he had been put through alot of pain and suffering, he soon moved on. ''Whats happend love?'' he asked softly.

Alex had been ignoring the girl. She needed someone she knew to comfort her. And suddenly through her haze of pain she heard Warren's voice. She choked back a sob as she threw herself into his arms crying hard. He had seen her like this before, when her mother had left the family, and again when her father had.
"Torin..doesn't.. like.. me.." She cried into his shoulder brokenly as she clung to her friend. "I..I.." She couldn't get any more words out. She just started sobbing.

He was shocked, he thought they were close.. real close! well, that was the day he left? its been a week.. his missed alot but still! He just wished he was here to be for her proper. ''Doesn't like you? why? i thought you two were close?'' His head was touching hers as she rested it on his shoulder, he put his hand on her hand to try and comfort her. His other hand by her waist. ''Aww you've always got me, even though im with Lucille, i still love you! in a different way of course.. but still the love is there'' trying to cheer her up.. he meant every word. Warren was always good at making people feel good, it was a talent he shared with his mother.

Alex shook her head as she leaned on Warren, just soaking up the embrace. "I..don't know.. We were.. and then I told him.. and he said I was just a friend.."Alex was crying more, her whole body shaking again as she sobbed. "I.. I loved him Warren." She sniffled into his shoulder. "I feel so dead and empty inside." She held tightly to him as he spoke.

"I know and I am thankful." She said sniffling more, her tears still not abating. If anything they seemed to come harder, now that someone she loved and trusted was holding her. "I love you too, like a brother of course." She said sniffling more and she held to him. To other people their postion might look awkward, but she was holding onto him for dear life.
