The figure bounced a bit. A nod, perhaps? "My eyesight is failing, perhaps you can assist me," it said taking a step a little off from where the boy had pointed.

Um... creepy man? Going the wrong way?

"Absolutely," Copernicus set his own box down on the counter and headed back for the ink. He turned slightly and watched the hooded figure head the wrong way, so Cope reached out and touched him gently on the arm. "Just follow me."

"Thank you," the figure croaked. Once they were out of sight of the counter, the figure poked the boy in the ribs with what might have felt like a wand. "Excuse me," the figure croaked again.

"Ouch!" Copernicus cringed back at the sudden sharp pain in his ribs. "What are you...?"

His eyes slid out of focus for a moment and he went limp like a rag doll. When they slid back into focus, he smiled vaguely at the hooded figure. "No, that's fine. You see the red ink then?" He paused for just a moment and then nodded. "Great! Have a good day, sir."

Copernicus stepped back up to the counter and paid for his parchment before heading back out to the street.

The hooded, cloaked, figure disappeared.

Emily stepped into the shop and saw lots of her more favorite things, quills, parchments ink.... the best smells she thought.

She started grabbing things, though she already had enough school supplies she couldn't get enough. Two quick-notes quills, one anti-cheating quill (for when she made up practice tests), one color changing quill, and one spell check quill.

"hmmm that sign say i get one free now..... i'll take a fragrance quill" emily said reaching out.

Emily also grabbed three random colors of metallic ink and a silver one, as well as four black inks. looking around she went to the parchment and grabbed 60 A grade parchement and a case. she passed over the stationary and stationary sets and saw journlas, she had yet to get one for this year so she grabbed an old fashioned diary and a sketchbook.

"uhmmm does anyone know how much all this comes to? there are no prices" she asked looking at all of her stuff. taking a step towards a few people she fell and her stuff went flying, she scrambled up and skillfully caught all the inks without their breaking. "woops haha" she said picking up all her stuff again.

Ray noticed a cloaked person skip him as he planned to enter the Quill shop. How rude can a person get?, he thought in his mind as he entered the shop. That cloaked guy is creepy!, he thought as he looked at the strange figure who approched a seventh year Ravenclaw that Ray knew as Copernicus Kettleburn, but that he never actually talked to, and seemed to whisper something in his ear.
Ray searched for a quill, his last broke while doing his runes homework!

From the corner of her eye, Mina noticed the older student leading the strange cloaked figure toward the ink. Shaking the chill down her spine, she paid for her items and made her way toward the door and back out onto the street. She still had much to do and little time to get it done.

Emily looked a little closer at her items and realized that there were in fact prices on them so she totaled them up, how can she be spending so much??? oh well it's school supplies, mum would understand. Besides Emily hardly ever bought things. She generally made her own muggle clothes (except jeans which she thrifted) and she found her own fun. Who needed all the gadgetry kids her age had anyway? she had a wand, that beat them haha. She paid the money and put her things into her now over loaded bag and skipped (somehow lopsidedly) out the door.
