And once again, you enter the dank, dark cave that is the Hogwarts potions classroom... but something has changed. Unlike the environment of the previous class, which was characterized by a clash of noxious odors, this time the classroom is filled with...

THE BEST. SMELLS. EVER.

Though the room is still cast in the typical gloom from the flickering candle wall sconces, unlike during the last class this time the air smells sweet, with notes of chocolate, vanilla, fresh coffee, light florals and fresh breezes, newly cut grass... A thousand lovely scents all harmoniously combining to create a symphony of sweet smells. Small flames are burning under a series of cauldrons simmering at the back of the room, and there are the typical rows of workstations with two stools at each station.

A thousand and three jars, canisters, and containers of potions ingredients line the shelves along the walls, gleaming dully in the low light. Each is labelled in the Professor's shaky old man's script, and at the back of the room are shelves groaning under the weight of huge potions encyclopedias and texts.

At the front of the classroom, a large charmed chalkboard stands. On it are written these simple instructions:

POTIONS CLASS: LOVE POTIONS

Please be seated. The professor will be here momentarily. Be certain that you have all your potions equipment with you; failure to do so may cost your House points. If you are an older student who is familiar with Potions you may set up your workstation. I expect my younger students are now able to set up their workstations as well; if you need help, please ask an older student.

You may talk quietly amongst yourselves, but please keep the conversation to a reasonable level out of respect for your classmates. Thank you.

Class Synopsis:

The class began with a discussion on Love Potions- the theory behind them and their classification.

Then, the students discussed probable ingredients in love potions based on their knowledge of potion ingredients; this lead to the lab assignment, in which the students were to partner with a person of the opposite gender and brew a basic Class XX love potion.

The students received instruction on how to remove infused oils from their pre-treated lovage seeds, and were instructed to work in pairs to complete this task.

Next, the students were instructed to add a single drop of swan blood to the potion, bottled a draught, and sample each other's work. Ah... Love!

Arrick had been scowling all through the class, and the scowl was showing no signs of fading now. He'd managed to follow the instructions, though somehow--maybe it was due to his reluctance and disgust of brewing something that would induce lovey-doveyness--his potion smelled like hatred and death.

He was actually very glad no girl had offered him a potion to test. Girls. UGH.

He waited out the end of the class from his corner, rolling his eyes at his infatuated classmates.

Keeley was not happy. NOT HAPPY! But then, she got distracted, her love had called her beautiful! Squee! Wait- he said that thing was prettier. Twitch. Twitch. Her eyes glazed over black, which only happened when she was really, really, really ticked off. Completely ignoring Evelyn, who she would deal with later, she grabbed her wand and yelled a curse at Destiny, that would turn her into a cat if it hit her. ((OOC: I don't know the actual spell, so just pretend she said it)) That's right. Don't mess with Keeley. Now Josh could love her!

No one messed with Destiny!! Unless it was Evelyn herself... Growling, she pointed her wand at Keeley right after the girl said some spell she didn't know. Hopefully Destiny was able to get that shield up and make it strong. "Expelliarmus!" she yelled, scowling in hatred towards the Ravenclaw. Evelyn thought maybe they could have been friends, but love potion or not, Keeley just went on the bad list. And just for good measures, "Petrificus Totalus."

As Keeley's wand flew out of her hand, the little voice in her head seemed to have come back. It was screaming about how mean and crazy she was acting and how Evelyn was only being a good, sane friend. But right now, love sick Keeley didn't care. She was mad! She was about to utter a curse, but she had been petrified. Crap. As she froze, falling towards the ground, she bumped her head on the table. Oww! Too bad she couldn't move, or she would've ripped Evelyn to shreds. Well, probably not. Even as love crazed as she was, Evelyn hadn't really done anything, so she would've just yelled at her and disarmed her.

Whoa, Keeley was angry. Destiny knew what was coming next. Good thing she had her wand out already. 'Protego!' She didn't know what spell Keeley sent at her but it probably wasn't as bad as getting hit with silver scales.

Aww, Evelyn was the best. Taking the girls wand and the full body bind. Destiny would have taken care of her herself, but Josh was so close. 'Josh, could you like back up!?' Yucky boys.

Josh stared at Evelyn blankly it was like he could remember something about her...strong willpower...Evelyn or was she 'Rose' no his beloved Destiny said she was Evelyn and she wanted him. Wanted for what? Potion made him do what? His mind was extremely full of complicated question and he felt like his head was about to explode. One screamed this was all an illusion, another screamed that all he wanted was Destiny and the other screamed he loved Evelyn who actually called Rose. He let Destiny go and closed his eyes taking his head around his arms covering his face like he was having a trong headache. Then he looked up again when Evelyn spoke ''Destiny does not love me?'' *blink-blink* he looked back at Destiny and she told him to back away ''She does not want me'' in a sudden his eyes became wet and he pulled Evelyn from her robes ''Destiny does not love me. I cannot live. I want to die...you know, you know''

Then something weird happened and a flash of light flew towards Destiny hitting the shield charm one of the Slytherin girls casted. Then everything got extremely confusing for the boy as the girls started to fight no duel. Then he eyed the Ravenclaw girl with red hair who seemed to be trying to attack his Destiny ''No! Stop it! STOP IT!'' he yelled ''ENOUGH!'' he looked from Keeley to the Slytherins and vice versa his eyes following the spells flying around. Then an idea occured to him and he ran to the Ravenclaw girl blocking her way to protect Destiny ''Don't attack her,..them..her. I'll do whatever you want''

Ugh. Being petrified sucked. A lot. Especially when Keeley had a great headache coming on. That little voice was getting louder and louder until it consumed her thoughts. She was that voice.
Keeley loocked arouund, or at least tried. What was she doing? Why was her head throbbing? And why the heck was she on the ground, unable to move?? She tried to ask, what's going on? But it came out more like, "Mats oimg om?" She couldn't move her mouth. Thankfully, her eyes were open, and she looked at the three classmates standing above her. Why weren't they helping her??

"What? What do you mean you want to die? Of course you don't." Frowning at the absurd things Josh was saying, she was quite surprised when he moved and blocked Destiny's path from the Ravenclaw girl...leaving her wide open for attack. Holding back any comment, or emotion for that matter, she gave Josh a look before heading over and looking down at Keeley. Bending down, she stared right into the girl's eyes.

Moving her hand that was gripping her wand, she let it pass over Keeley's face so she could see it. Evelyn suddenly remembered seeing the girl hit one of the desk when she fell down and she moved the girls' head to checked if it caused her to bleed or anything. Nope, all was good. Staring emotionless and unblinking at the girl, Evelyn smirked/sneered after a minute and stood up, not taking the body-binding spell off of her...completely ignoring her in fact.

Don't mess with Evelyn or any one of Evelyn's friends. "You alright Destiny?" she asked her Slytherin friend, walking over towards her and around Josh. How long would it take for this potion to wear off? Josh being in love with Destiny was really starting to get on her nerves.

Destiny nodded at Evelyn. 'I'm fine. But him on the other hand..' She pointed to Josh. Maybe Destiny should just go with the 'love'. He was crying and it made Destiny feel bad. She gave Evelyn a quick glance that said 'don't hurt me', and then turned to Josh. 'Josh stop crying, I do love you.' Maybe that was a bad idea, but as long as the waterworks stopped..

Did Keeley try to say something? Yes, I think she did. Destiny bent down so she could hear what Keeley was trying to say 'Were you trying to say something? I can't understand you. Speak louder.' Heehee, maybe they should leave her like that for just a little longer..

Keeley was super confused. What was going on? Why was she petrified, and why the heck had Evelyn igonored her, when she was clearly frozen on the ground?? At least Destiny was paying her some attention. She attempted to say, What happened? Why am I frozen? But all she could muster was, "Mat amemd? Wi am eh fozem?"

''I mean i cannot live...'' he did not went on all he cared was protecting Destiny since what happened to his body had not even the slightest importance anymore. His gaze moving around the three girls, stopping more on Destiny, and the Ravenclaw was not within his eyesight. Stange! Obvious enough he had not realised that she fell down frozen. Now the fight was gone which meant he had no one to protect anymore what was he going to do? He caught Evelyn's eyes on him when he galnced back at her and he felt that odd feeling again like somewhere deep inside he was feeling a thing, a strong one for her but the thought faded away when he heard the mesmerising voice of beloved Destiny. ''You love me, do you really?'' his face illuminated in a sudden and he ran attacking her with a hug. ''I want to kiss you lovely Destiny, can i kiss you please?''

'Sorry Keeley, I still can't understand you.' Destiny wasn't going to do unbind her until she was sure the potion wore off. And she would wait for Josh's to wear off first. If he was better, Keeley would be better too.

Just as Destiny stood up away from Keeley, she was attacked with a hug. 'Ugh yeah, of course I love you.' she said but she didn't take her eyes off of Evelyn. She didn't know how she would react. 'Oh no. You can't kiss me. I'm sick. Cough cough. And I wouldn't want you to get sick too.' Hopefully acting sick would stop him from any funny business. 'When will this potion wear off!?'

"Destiny! Don't encourage him!" Oh wow, she sounded like her mother for a moment. Taken aback some, Evelyn looked around until her eyes landed on the Ravenclaw who Destiny was trying to figure out what she was saying. "The potion is probably wearing off on her." she mumbled, a little mad that her friend was playing along with Josh.

Aaaand what really caught her off guard was Josh running and practically tackling the Slytherin in happiness. Wait... "Kiss?" The word barely left her lips as it felt like a huge whole was punched in the middle of her chest where her heart was. Evelyn stood frozen still, the classroom disappearing as her hazel eyes landed on Josh. His lit up face, his smile, his whole happy attitude made her feel slightly better at watching, but none of it was for her and that's what hurt. Stupid love potion!

''You are sick?'' Josh murmured as he backed away from her to watch her beauty but with a deeply disappointed expression ''Okay then... i can kiss you when you are alright again. I can, right? I can wait'' he went on with a sad smile and moved his look on the dark, stone floor as a headache started to hit him. He took a few steps back tripped over a school bag on the floor and fell backwards ''Ow, ow, ow!!!'' at first this worsened his headache but lying on the floor felt extremely comfortable afterwards so he closed his eyes Destiny's sweet words still in his mind. Maybe he could see a beautiful dream with his love if he slep right there on the floor.

Finally Josh let go. Destiny stretched her arms out, Josh had squeezed too hard and they started to fall asleep. 'Ugh yeah, as soon as I feel better I'll kiss you. Cough, cough.' Thank Merlin the fake sick worked.

Josh was falling, falling and he fell. 'Josh! Are you okay?'

Evelyn missed the sad look that fell across Josh's face, and she missed what Destiny said. It was like all the sound disappeared from the room, and she was seeing everything in slow motion. Glancing around, she looked at everything, not really processing what was happening. Sitting on the stool to steady herself, she looked at the cauldron in front of her. She didn't feel right, and her eyes hurt. Squeezing them shut for a moment, when she opened them, everything went back to normal and the burst of noise startled her.

'Josh! Are you okay?'

What? What happened to Josh? Turning, Evelyn found him on the ground with Destiny next to him. "What happened? What did you do?" The little incident that happened to her was pushed back into her mind and she stumbled over to Josh, dropping onto her knees and bending over him. "Are you okay? Josh?" Ugh, her eyes hurt like crazy!

Keeley sighed. Or, tried to. Se was still frozen. Giving up communicating with the others, she contented herself with listening, which was pretty much all she could do. Pretty much all she could understand was that they were going to wait until Josh was cured to fix her. Which could take a while. Silently willing him to be cured, and for pretty much everyone else to be cured (this lovey stuff was really annoying her!) 99 bottles of butterbeer on the wall...

He placed his arms round her waist, and pulled her a little close to him. Far, far off, he saw Professor Kazi!Man - realized that this was a lesson, not some cosy spot in the grounds. But the Potions Master did not seem to mind, and so Fyo continued to hug Lucy, then twirled her round again.

How sweet! Cope was being such the gentlemen and doing all the work for LouAnn! She watched him as she stacked the phials far away from her, making it to where she couldn't easily access any of them. She glanced up at him and nodded in reply to his question. "I'm always better when you're around," she replied.

LouAnn felt a little funny for just a split second, but she passed it off as lack of sleep or something else of that sort. When she glanced back at Cope, though, it was like she was starting to see him in a slightly different light...maybe, not so amazing and fascinating. Perhaps the potion was beginning to wear off just a little.

"I'm quite the resilient one." Mina nodded as she looked at him briefly. It was the first time, she actually attempted to look at him, her vision was now clear and the edges no longer blurry. Glancing over to the other girl and then back to him, she came to a decision. "Maybe you should check on her personally. She looks like she might want your company."

Giving him a meek little smile and turning to him. "You probably should go back over there. I'm fine now and I have a funny feeling, I've caused enough trouble as is." She was feeling a bit funny and she didn't think being near him was helping. Pulling out her compact, she looked at herself and frowned. Blood never really looks good dried on to one's face.

arggg...god! i am going to give a first year a love potion.how embarassing is that? she thought but nevertheless walked and stood next to him and cleared her throat
um...hi.i am Isabella fom Ravenclaw she introduced herself.always manners comes first even if your going to ask that person to drink your love potion.she internally rolled her eyes.
um...i know this is a bit weird she said looking around at her classmates
but i guess we are all doing this for our class. she said
um....so if no one has asked you to drink a love potion yet,could drink mine? Bella said.
God! i am sounding so stupid.no doubt love makes people go stupid she thought but waited for the guy to reply.
