Abby is amazed by all the students who seem to know about this muggle devise. Must be a lot of muggle borns in class. Poor Abby doesn't know a thing about muggle devises. She thought brownies are something you eat.

As everyone spouted out different variations of the same answer, Audio picked up his camera and flicked the on/off button and started to push the buttons on the back of the camera- hoping to figure out something useful for the next question.

Anything would be nice, seeing as he felt like the only person who had no idea what the heck any of this was.

Arianna frowned at them, they knew everything, how was that possible. She too knew that, only because her mother got one as a payment for her services by one of her neighbours. She wished she could add something to her friends answer, but she really couldn't, anyway she raised her arm " Professor, I have one, it's really really old, one of the muggle's in my town gave it to my mother as payment, I don't think it works properly I actually never tried, never found any interest on still frames, but if you want I can ask my mother to owl it to me...?" she suggested, in her usually babbler self.

Emma looked at jake for a few seconds and then just bursted out laughing. soon she was laughing so had that she wasnt even laughing!!!!

"Eastman Kodak made the Brownie Camera " Jason told Professor DuMont. " Another thing, they do not make brownie camereas anymore" Jason expalined to Professor DuMont.

Fred had never heard of a Brownie camera cause the book he had read on cameras were on more modern versions he had seen his mother use as a child. He still wanted to give an answer though so he looked in his textbook and read a little into on what Brownie camera was. When he was done he raised his hand to answer saying, "The Brownie was made by Eastman Kodak and made popular because of it's low cost photography and introduced the concept of the snapshot. The first Brownie, introduced in February, 1900, it was a very basic cardboard box camera with a simple meniscus lens that took 2¼-inch square pictures. iIt had simple controls and initial price was $1, it was intended to be a camera that anyone could afford and use in that time.".

Audio looked up at Jake's answer and let out a quiet laugh, trying not to draw attention to himself. That wasn't really a probably though with the Hufflepuff girl laughing so loudly. But that was pretty funny, and pretty much what he was thinking he just wasn't the kind of person to say crap like that out loud.

'Brownie camera?' Evelyn thought, confused. 'Is he serious?' Evelyn listened to what the others were saying about it, not able to grasp the concept of a camera made out of...Brownies? She actually pretty much agreed with the Jake guy, not knowing why the other girl suddenly burst out laughing. 'I really need to quite this class. Too confusing.'

Jason looked at the confused girl. "I can help you if you need some help with this class" Jason told her. " Brownie sounds like a dessert but the camera had been one of the easiest to use" Jason told her.

EH. Half blood, and this camera business is annoying.

Evelyn turned to look at who was speaking to her. 'As in a tutor? For muggle studies? Pointless muggle studies?' the voice spoke in disbelief in her mind. Evelyn ignored the voice and glanced around to see if she could spot Josh first. Not seeing him, she sighed and turned to the other boy.

"Sure, that would be great actually. I don't understand any of this stuff." she whispered to the older guy, giving him a small smile. 'Are you serious?!' If the voice was actually a human being in it's own body, Evelyn would have probably of guessed that they would have fainted or something close to it. 'Yup, just to make you mad. And make my parents mad too...well mad-er, that it.'

"Yes, that's absolutely right! 5 points to Slytherin for a very good answer," Antonio said.

"Is everyone ready to have some fun? You will see that you each have a camera on your desk. These are just cheap, one use only cameras with 27 exposures in each. They wouldn't ordinarily work here at Hogwarts, but they have been charmed so that you can take pictures with them. We're going to be doing that in just a little while, but does anyone know what some of the different parts of a camera are called?"

Cool. Nathaniel liked how this class was going. "There's the lens, the shutter, the view finder, and the flash button.. just to name a few.". He was right about that.. right?

"It's called a shutter release." he told him, which freaked him out a bit that he knew that. He's never even seen a camera like that before. Hm... maybe reading ahead actually helped him a bit.

He looked back to the professor, "There's also the film rewind."

Taking pictures? Literally? Wicked awesome! Evan's face immediately formed a happy and exciting grin, and he grabbed the camera. Oooh, he'd be an artist! Still watching his toy, he raised his hand and said "There are lens, flash... film? Or more commonly micro SD memory card... and now a screen in modern ones. And buttons." Now, he could focus on his camera. Where to capture?

Lucille thumped her head on her desk.

"Er, well.." she said, her speech mumbled because her mouth was on the table. "There's the holdy part, the button," she lifted her head slighly, "and the liiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiitle peepy hole."
Maybe she had banged her head a little too hard.

Kay knew the answer to this. Putting her hand up Kay said. "Sir, there are many parts to a camera. There is the lens, shutter, shutter release, film advance level, aperture, viewfinder, self-timer, and shutter speed control." she hope that she didn't miss anything. Different cameras have different controls. "Also, Sir I do believe that this carmera doesn't have the self-timer." Kay was happy about her answer.

Michelle raised her hand and answered, "There are many parts to a camera. There's the lens, the shutter, the shutter release, the film advance lever or knob, the aperture, the viewfinder, the film rewind knob, the camera body, the flash shoe, the self-timer, and the shutter speed control."

Alexandra smiled as her fellow Gryffies called out answers before she got a chance to.

Marie looked at Kay in disbelief 'is this girl serious, how can she know so much about this thing.' She raised her hand and said "It looks like there is a counter thing here, is that to tell you how many pictures you have taken?" 'All these crazy parts just to take a picture that doesn't even move, what's the point?'

"I'm Evelyn Flores." she said to him smiling slightly, before turning her attention back to the Professor, listening to everyone's responses on what the parts of the camera were. Looking down at it, she just saw a...thing. 'Okay, there are buttons, and what are they talking about lenses and stuff?' Turning the camera upside down, she inspected each part off it, accidentally pressing on one of the buttons making the flash go off with a 'CLICK'.

Jumping slightly, she hastily put the camera down and kept her hands in her lap, glaring at the camera. 'Muggles...and their...stuff.' she thought grumpily, looking around, hoping that no one noticed that. 'Paintings are much better anyways.'

Jake raised his hand. "Thuhhhh... fffflash... and th- and th- and the clclclclicckkky bit," he said, matter-of-factly.

Kay smiled at Marie. She could tell that she had know clue about muggle things. "That's a good answer." Kay said to her softly.
