Evelyn walked into the room with a bored expression. 'Yay, more muggle studies.' she thought sarcastically. She noticed right away that she was the only one so far that came to the class. 'Am i...early?' Taking a seat towards the back as she always did, she set her bag down next to her quietly and started tapping her fingers on the desk. "Good day professor." she said finally, giving the professor a small smile.

With her hair in pigtails, Reese walked towards the Muggle Studies classroom with a smile on her face. This was still one of her favorte classes, if not her favorite. Pausing in the doorway when she arrived, she glanced around the room and noticed only one Slytherin there. Hmm. She was quite early today. "Good daaaaay Professor Dumont," she greeted the man before she found herself a seat in front of the class.

Jack hadn't exactly been on the top of his game lately as far as attending classes and doing all his homework was concerned--but that was all about to change. Now that tryouts were over and his life was less CRAZZEHHH, he could focus on school again and help bring Gryffindor out from...last place. Guhhhh.

Taking a seat next to Reese near the front, he shot his girlfriend a grin hello before turning to his Head of House. "Helloooooo Professor Dumont!" he said with a smile as he sat down and settled into his seat.

Stepping inside the classroom, the first thing Jake noticed... was his sister.

No. Scratch that.

His sister's hair.

"What in the name of Merlin's most baggy Y-fronts?" he murmured, tilting his head at the spectacle, before taking of his glasses and cleaning them on his shirt.

Beelining for the girl, Jake went ahead and plonked himself down beside her, shoving his glasses back on his face and wondering how long before she realised he was wearing them, bearing in mind she'd never seen him wear them.

"Ooooh, whassinth-th-the boxxx?" Jake stammered, this now his usual speech.

He wanted a box.

He wanted one now.

And now there was the Gryffindor Seeker on the other side of his sister? Hmmmm... Reese was surrounded by Seekers.

Like a giant snitch.

ACK! Nuuuu. Muggle brain.

Arrrr! No wait. That was a pirate.

Were pirates muggles?

Y'arrrr.

Okay, good.

Kay walked slowly into the classroom. Class again. She really liked this class. She had learned a lot about muggles from her cousin. He never did act much like a wizard. He always had muggle clothes and things around his house. "I love this class." Kay said to myself as she sat down to see who else would be in class.

Chriswalked excitedly into the Muggle Studies room, as ready as ever to look at some muggle things. As he took a seat he saw a box on Professor Dumont's desk that looked promising. He smiled at his Head of House and said, "Hello Professor, can't wait for the class to start!"

Fred made his way into the muggle stuidies classroom with a smile on his face thinking so far Hogwarts had been much better then what he had to endure at Durmstrang for 4 years. Yeah, muggle studies did seem a little mundane a subject to him but it was still good to know just in case he may need to know those skills for whatever reason someday. As he saw the professor he said, "hey professor", and made his way to a seat and waited for class to start.

Destiny hurried into the classroom thinking she was late. When she got there she noticed only a few people were there. 'Phew!'
'Hello professor!' She said trying to catch her breath. She walked to the back of the room, waved to Evelyn and sat down.

Emma walked quitely into the room. seeing that there were indeed other people in the room made her feel a little better. She picked a seat in the front. what better way to take good notes. She knew she had to do well in order to make her parents proud. Once she was settled, she gave the box on the professors' desk a curious glance then pulled out a book and started to read until class began. Good thing she was able to drown out sound.

Two words. Head. Ache.

Okay, so it was technically just one word---headache---but when complaining about having one, it just sounded much better to separate the words and say them with force. Head. Ache. There, that was more like it. With a slightly grumpy expression on her face, LouAnn slid into a nearby seat and sighed softly. She hadn't been feeling well lately, although she couldn't put her finger on exactly what hurt or what didn't seem quite right. She honestly thought she'd been sleeping well, but she often times woke up feeling as if she'd slept not a wink. She just felt...odd.

Sighing once again, she glanced over at Reese, Jack, and Jake, giving them all a little smile and wave before sliding down into her seat and wishing she could just hide away like a turtle does inside its shell.

Marie walked into the room and noticed the professor standing by his desk. "Hello Professor" she said as she eyed the box on the desk. 'Well now, what kind of muggle gadgets will he show us today' she thought as she remembered their last class of self defense and pepper spray.
Walking towards the back of the room she spotted a couple girls she met during the last study session. "Hi Evelyn, hi Destiny how are you today?" Marie also noticed Kay sitting there by herself so she walked over to her. "Hi Kay" Marie said as she sat down next to her hoping she wasn't saving the seat for anyone else. "How have you been?"

Tori took her seat in the class, at far right. She took out her book, parchment, quill and a bottle of ink and waited for the class started.

"Oh, mmm Hi." Kay said to Marie. "I'm good. How have you been?" Kay asked her. Kay hadn't seen Marie in a few days. "Do you want to be partern if needed.?" Kay asked smiling.

Evelyn waved and smiled back to Destiny before continuing tapping her fingers on the desk. "How are ya?" she whispered, though it wasn't necessary.

"Hey." Evelyn replied back, trying not to show that she would rather not be in this class. "Great. How about you?"

Antonio looked around the classroom, happy to see that students were starting to appear. "We'll be getting started soon, so go ahead and get comfortable. Just to let everyone know, we'll be dealing with this today".



With that, he held up the object he had taken from the box and showed it to the class. "Everyone is going to be getting one of these, so please take one and pass it around." He took the box off the desk at the front and began to pass it to the closest student, which happened to be Evelyn. "We're going to be learning about this particular thing, and then I have a fun assignment for all of you. At least I hope it will be fun. So, does anyone know what the name of this thing is?"

"Professor DuMont. this is a camera which takes pictures . You can take pictures of flowers, people, buildings, anything you want." Jason told him.

It's a camera. It's an object used to take photographs. It is commonly used by muggles as they wish to savour whatever special moment by taking a picture.

Evelyn was suddenly brought out of her daydream that she just started...*sigh*...when the professor put a box on the table containing...things. Picking one out, she looked at it for a second before passing the box down to the next student. 'Yup, looks like a camera, though muggle...style.' she thought, turning it in different angles.

Abby looks at this strange object quite closely. It sort of resembles the camera her father has, but there's something different about it. The material it's made from is alien to Abby. Then all the buttons and other things it has makes it much too complicated to be a simple camera. A wizard camera doesn't have all these extra bells and whistles. "Professor Dumont, could this thing be a muggle camera?" Of course it isn't Abby. You've just shown everyone in the class how dumb you are where muggle are concerned. It's probably some kind of transportation devise. Something that enable muggles to aparate like wizards. That what it is.

Mina made her way into the classroom and looked around for a seat. There were a few students already settled in. Moving to an empty table, she took a seat. "Good day, Professor," she said with a smile before placing her things upon the table.

Muggle Studies. Her first class in the study was quite interesting and she was actually looking forward to seeing what this lesson held.

Camera. Oh yes, she had heard of those before. She'd never seen one but she understood what it was. Watching it being passed around it sparked her interest more. Wonder how it will fit in the lesson.

"Well LouAnn, how are you doing?" Jason asked her. " You always seem to be surrounded by boys" Jason laughed. " I have some sticks for you" Jason continued laughing. " I told you pretty girls wete always being chased" he told Lou Ann.. " now, you know this is a camera" Jason looked at LouAnn puzzled why she did not answer and why she is tired again.

Reese returned Jack's smiled and then Jake came up and sat down on the other side of her. And...what were those on his face? Ohmygosh. THEY WERE GLASSES! Her jaw dropped as she just looked at him, but then she heard the Professor speak up. Taking her attention off her brother, she looked at Professor Dumont who was holding up a camera. She raised her hand and replied, "It's a camera, sir. It takes pictures of people and things." Lowering her hand, she took the box that was being passed around. She grabbed a camera out of the box and then handed it off.

Ohh, what a nifty little camera! To LouAnn, it looked pretty much like all the magical cameras she'd ever seen. This one, though, she knew, wouldn't result in pictures of people who moved around and waved at you when you looked at them. When the little muggle camera finally made its way around to her, LouAnn looked at it a little closer, noticing how it read 'Canon' on the side. Must be it's name brand---you know, like Berty Bott created those jelly beans and Mrs. Scower created that magical mess remover.

Raising her hand, she said, "It's a muggle camera." ...and it's name is Canon. She didn't say that last part out loud, though, of course.

Destiny was staring out the classroom window when she heard her name being called. 'Hey, Marie!'

Destiny was just about to comment about the snow when the professor started handing out something.
When she got hers she instantly knew what it was. 'It's a camera!'
