| | |  Muggle Studies Lesson 1 - Self Defense
Antonio was busy getting the classroom ready for the students. He knew they would soon be filing in for the first lesson of the season, and wanted to make sure everything was in order. He set his desk up at the front of the room and set up a stack of books there. The books were labelled with the title "Self Defense".
"Hello, everyone, and welcome back to Hogwarts and the first Muggle Studies class. Please pick up a Self Defense textbook and have a seat. We're just going to wait for the class to fill up a bit, as usual, so make yourselves comfortable." He smiled. This was an important lesson he would be teaching today. It was similar to a class he had taught a few terms back on martial arts, yet different. He thought the class would find the lesson useful and informative. ooc: Look to this first post for updates and important information on where to find key posts within this thread for your future reference!

"Lets add a little to the environment shall we?" He asked, folding his arms across his chest. "Act like you just walked into a dark and deserted parking lot. A parking lot is a place to park or station a car, they can be anywhere but mostly at places like shopping malls, office buildings, restaurants etc."
Pausing for a moment to plan the scenario further, Blake continued, " Annnd I'll be hiding behind a pillar, waiting to attack YOU, perhaps with a GUN. Don't worry, I don't have an actual gun, my wand should do the trick, hmm okaay?" He assured her and took a deep breath, smoothing his hair, "We can use the desk as a car, what do you think?" Smiling at her, he waited for her response, if she didn't like it, they can go with the Plan B...
"I don't know, you brought them up." Sylvia folded her arms. How was SHE meant to know about cars and things? She nodded, and moved the desk correctly so it was beside her, this was ow her beautiful pink car. Hehe. Wait, could cars be different colours? Anyway ...
"Yes, and I hope you don't have one." Sylvia said quite warily. Naaah, he wasn't a trained killer, she'd beat him up if he was. Sylvia listened at Blake set the scene. She was in a ... parking lot, with a car, in the dark. She knew she'd never be in that situatuion, ever. "Oooh! Can I have lots of shopping bags? Instead of stealing my lipstick, you steal one of my shopping bags." Whatever, as long as he stole something.
"Let's go for it!" Sylvia had to think of a way of to stop him robbing her WITHOUT violence. She needed the textbook. Luckily, Blake's was still on the desk, so she flipped it open to the self defense bit and followed the words with her finger. | |

Josh jumped where he sat as the class got into act. ''Wha-...'' 'What was happening?' . He stared around looking confused only to realise that he was in a class and had been sleeping on the text book. The pieces in his mind slowly getting combined he remembered walking in the Muggle Studies classroom and taking a 'self-defense' text book. But what was all this clatter? At the next moment his question was answered by a student who yelled for a partner. 'They are looking for partners? He jumped on his feet. Partners for what?' he checked some pages of the textbook 'Self defense!' he cursed at himself He knew a lot about that for his dad was a muggle plus he was a cop! and he slept during a class which possibly would be his best one. Darn!

Adelaide looked at the girl she looked to be 11 or 12 but Adelaide understood they both needed partners for this class. She extended her hand to the girl. "Sure my name is Adelaide" The girl looked to only four foot even next to the younger student Adelaide looked like a giant as she was already tall for a girl as it was. "I think that the point of Muggle defense is to show that no matter how over shadowed by your opponent you can still defend yourself" She hoped this would ease the young girls anxiety.
