| | |  Muggle Studies Lesson 1 - Self Defense
Antonio was busy getting the classroom ready for the students. He knew they would soon be filing in for the first lesson of the season, and wanted to make sure everything was in order. He set his desk up at the front of the room and set up a stack of books there. The books were labelled with the title "Self Defense".
"Hello, everyone, and welcome back to Hogwarts and the first Muggle Studies class. Please pick up a Self Defense textbook and have a seat. We're just going to wait for the class to fill up a bit, as usual, so make yourselves comfortable." He smiled. This was an important lesson he would be teaching today. It was similar to a class he had taught a few terms back on martial arts, yet different. He thought the class would find the lesson useful and informative. ooc: Look to this first post for updates and important information on where to find key posts within this thread for your future reference!

But looking at the textbook the professor wanted them to grab, he was suddenly worried. "Good day professor," he said, looking puzzled. "Self-defense?"
Well, maybe the small boy would learn something useful.

Rayedem walked into the Muggle Studies class, undoubtedly excited as he was a muggleborn himself. Maybe this time I'd excel in class, he thought lamely. Bah. If a muggleborn could beat a pureblood in a wizarding class, then why couldn't it happen the other way? Okay. He was still going to do his best.
As he entered the classroom he greeted the professor, "Good day, professor," he nodded and smiled, then looked at the stack of books on his desk. There were no picture he could see on them, so the best he could do about the topic was to guess. "Self-defense? Are we learning martial arts, professor?" he asked. It was really obvious now that he was excited.

Nathaniel walked into the classroom. Muggle Studies, he loved this class. Plus, Mariel would be in this class now. FUNNNN. He grabbed a textbook and found a seat in the front and and sat down. Self defense? Like hitting people with fists? He knew how to do that. Another easy class for him. He smiled to himself as he waited for other kids to get to class.

Muuugggle Studies. Heh. Cam was a muggle-born Slytherin himself so this class was fairly eaaasssy for him? RIIIGHT? Right. 'Course. He stepped in the classroom, his snout looking prooouddd and not applied with make-up. "Hiiiii profess--omigoshhh self defense???" He immediately grabbed a text-book and put his snout in it, seeing if they were gonna learn some COOOL mumbo-jumbo trick.
Oooooohhhh. He took a seat, still putting his face into the book and trying to seeeeeee if the professor was gonna teach them how to do a karate chopppp.

He made it to the Muggle Studies classroom bouncing on just one leg, WOOT!
Smiling, Blake entered the classroom and on spotting Nikki, he straight went to her and sat down next to her. " Hiiiii sweety." He said, nudging her and then titled his head a little staring at the other guy sitting with them, " Do you mind?" He said screwing up his face a little and grabbed Nikki by the arm, dragging her a little towards him.
Ohmegosh! The professor had awesome hair! " Good Day Professor and you haiiiir looks aweeeeesome." He nodded in confirmation and waited for the lesson to begin, after all muggle studies was his favorite subject.

If there was one thing Brody had no clue what so ever about it would be muggle studies. Haviing grown up in a pureblood environment she really had no idea about muggle, well obvious she knew about them but she had no idea about the things that did.
The blonde girl entered the classroom, twisting a blonde curl aroud her finger. "Hello PRofessor Dumont." She smiled as she took a seat. Self defence. Okay...that probably wasnt going to be exactly her cup of tea.

This might be a rather simple class. After all he was muggle-born. "Hello Professor" Looking at the text book he saw "Self Defence" well this was something he knew a lot of since he had to learn it for his whole life coming from a family of pirates. Muggles were probably the only things he hated, but he was good at them. So yeah, his only aim of coming here was house points. Other than that, he wasn't interested in a bit, so he barely smiled at the professor when he saw him.
He halted at the door, looking at who was here. He saw Rayedem and quickly made his way to him, smiling brightly. He always made him smile. Throwing his bag next desk, he asked "How and where are you? I never see you in school!" with a friendly frown. He then realised they were grabbing books from teachers' desk, and he walked up to have one.
Defense? They punch, bite, smack, kick, throw pebbles... they did every vicious movement, they had no rule. With a slightly disgusted expression, he started to turn back to his desk when... Quote:

Okay, so here's the thing with Jake. He is a pureblood. He was raised in a muggle setting. He knows nearly nothing about either way of life. Hence, his decision to come to Muggle Studies.

As he made his way into the classroom and looked around, Jake heard Dumont mention the textbooks and went to grab a decent one before taking a seat. What did he say the topic was?
