She had made it.

Sabrina Evanstar had finally managed not to trip on her way down (or up) the Hogwarts staircase. And as the blonde walked up the front steps, fluffy white cat in hand, she managed not to trip and knock her head onto the door, which would have made knocking with her hand unnecessary, but would have also been rather uncomfortable. The bruise she had gotten from her last stumble was still painfully reminding her of the incident and she didn't feel she'd need another reminder of her clumsiness anytime soon, thank you very much.

So. Here she was. Waiting outside Mr. Masterson's door. The last time she had been there, Mr. Masterson had been about to (almost) drown, albeit he hadn't known it yet, because Sabrina had passed his hut while trying to get to Professor Vindictus about a ... situation. Which had, unfortunately, been put on hold due to the said person's near drowning too.

Raising her free hand, the seventh year knocked on the hut door.

Knock. Knock. Knock.

"Now, Snow." Sabrina whispered to her cat, eyeing it sternly. "Behave."

Although she was quite sure Mr. Masterson would not have mice or ... rats (what's the difference?) in his house.

Err, maybe.

After starting a fight with her "friend", accidentally walking in on someone and their girlfriend in the pumpkin patch, Alice decided to just go play with the puppy on grounds near the 'Forbidden Forest'. When she got there, a sign said
" ASK MR. MASTERSON FIRST!!! " so here she was walking up to the door and knocking. Oh, there was already someone here...an older girl, Sabrina. She had seen her ,when walking past the courtyard, screaming for snow. It wasn't going to snow any time soon, as it was only the beginning of school. Maybe the girl just had a lot of homework and was praying to the snow gods for a snow day...oh well.

After managing to send off a lengthy letter to his wife saying how much he missed her and that he wanted to know how Jadyn was doing, regardless of the fact that he'd only been away for one day. Hey, he was allowed to worry.

He had just sent the owl out the window the window of his hut, there were some knocks on the door. It always amazed him at how fast the students came out to his hut. It was scary, almost.

Nudging Roma away from the door so that he could get to it, he unlocked the door and opened it up.

Ugh. She didn't know Masterson had a doooog! Or she wouldn't have bought Snowball with her. Actually, it wasn't like she was about to bring her cat ON PURPOSE to his hut or anything. She just ... happened to walk past with Snowball and thought that she could perhaps visit him. The trip couldn't be any worse than her first day at Hogwarts, now could it? Of course not. Neither could it be as dramatic.

It would be a good distraction too. She was sick of feeling guilty and depressed. Distraction was what she needed before Samson decided to fix everything with Issy and everything could go back to normal.

Pffft. Don't be silly, girl. The dog whon't hurt Snowball.

"I ... just came to say hello .... ?" She finished the note as though it was a question.

Alice was now very shy. "Um, hi. I was just wondering if I could play with your puppy. I know my friend is up at the doghouse; told me to come and talk to you about it."Alice lied about her friend. She didn't really know anyone yet-it was her first day at Hogwarts after all...

"Hello, Miss Evanstar," he smiled, his eyes glancing down at the cat in her arms. He then couldn't help but raise an eyebrow at her final statement. "Oh...well...er, hello," he said again, blinking a couple of times.

He then looked at the other student and smiled. "Well, She's not so much a puppy anymore...but she's here," he nodded, looking over at Roma who was sitting nice not to far from him. "I'm sure it would be alright to play with her...providing she's in the mood for it," he chuckled. Bah, Roma was always in the mood to play. ALWAYS.

Oh, phew. Did that mean the dog was going out to play? Sabrina held nothing against dogs. She liked them. It was Snowball who had the issues here. He thought dogs were stupid, or didn't like them in general for some other unknown reason (how was Sabrina to know? It wasn't like Snow could talk to her).

"I was ... bored?" Ugh? She needed to say something that didn't sound stupid. The blonde wacked her brain with possible things to say, but couldn't come up with much. "And I thought I'd congratulate you ... for your baby."

Yes, that sounded better.

"Oh," Constantine smiled and folded his arms across his chest, leaning against the door frame, "well, thank you very much, Miss Evanstar. She's such a beautiful child," he sighed. Uh oh, Neo was having a fatherly pride moment...

He was leaning against the door frame. Well, at least he was talking ... Siiiiiigh. This distraction wasn't going to work. Not for long, anyways. Sabrina'll have to find something else like ... dueling? She had never tried it before.

CHIIIIIILDREN!

They were so cute! Sabrina had always wanted a little baby sibling ... any gender would have done. Well, now she had two step siblings, both older than her, but it wasn't the same, was it? No, it wasn't.

"I bet she is." The blonde beamed, still thinking of cute little humans with big eyes and baby smell and little hands and feet and ... Siiiiiiigh. "I always wanted a liiittle sibling." She said, wistfully.

Constantine smiled and chuckled gently as the girl seemed to be having a moment as well. "Aw...I was an only child. My parents were under the impression that I was bad enough," he smirked. "Well...my wife should allow me to bring my child to the school sometime in a couple months. If you pop by the hut, you're more than welcome to stop by and play with her, if you wish," he smiled.

Stepping into the hut, after the aweful night in the maze, with Anya. JD looks around, inside. Shivering a little, he's relieved that they were finally found, and were out of there. Looking forward to that hot chocolate.

...and the dog!!!

Anya followed JD into the hut, a little hesitantly at first. As the dog greeted them with welcome barking, she broke into a warm smile. She loved dogs, and she missed hers terribly!!

Constantine smiled as Roma greeted the two first years happily. She was excited, but gentle, not really wanting to bowl them over. She young, but she was big. Thank heavens she was a gentle giant.

"Go ahead, take a seat somewhere...it'll take some time for the water to boil."

Anya took a seat on a fluffy couch. It was extremely comfortable after the hard ground the night before. She breathed a sigh.

Looking around Mr. Masterson's hut, she found that it reminded her of home. It had a warm glow that automatically relaxed you and just something about it that made you comfortable automatically.

Getting licked on the face, by the big dog, he giggles a little. Oops, boys don't giggle...chuckled...chuckled, that's it.

He takes a seat on a big squishy bean bag chair. "I like your seating!" he calls over to the professor who was heating the water, looking around at the different types of chairs. Lots to choose from!

Starting to warm up in the cozy hut, he smiles over at Anya, wondering what she was thinking.

Anya smiled back at JD.

Wow, this was a looooooong 2 days. She looked over at JD and caught his eyes, they were sparkling, and kind of entranced her. She just stared for a minute, hypnotized.

Eventually, she snapped out of it and ducked her head down, blushing deeply.

Watching as the puppy came over to him and rested her head on his lap, he reaches down to stroke her soft head.

Sighing, he finally is able to relax after the last 12 or so hours. It felt so nice, to be taken care of. He knew he'd have to go back up to the castle again soon, but right then, he was happy just to sit and relax for a bit.

Looking over and seeing Anya blushing, he wonders, why. But doesn't want to embarrass her further by asking. Giving her a smile, he looks around the cozy hut a bit more.

Anya cocked her head slightly to the side. After a few minutes of building up her courage, she looked at JD

"Can I ask you something?" she asked, and then added,"And you have to answer it truthfully..."

Turning back toward Anya, he leans sideways and leans his elbow on the cushy bean bag chair he's on. Careful not to disturb Roma, he looks at her seriously (Anya that is).

"Of course." he replies with his brows furrowed. It must be serious...did I do something wrong I wonder...

"When you first met me, in the common room.. What were you thinking?"

Anya honestly wanted to know. There was something about his expression that day that had stuck with her. She just couldn't figure out what it was.

His face turning pink and his eyebrows shooting up into his forehead, he's not exactly sure what to say at all. How do you answer that question? he wonders.

"Ummm, I guess I saw a girl sitting on the floor, looking around hoping for help with her schoolwork." he answers dumbfounded.

Anya laughed, shaking her head slowly. He was good at that; telling her just what she wanted to hear.

She just wanted to know that...to know that he didn't think she was utterly stupid after that.

"Andd, hot chocolate is ready," Constantine smiled, bringing two mugs over to where the kids were sitting and handed them to them. After that, he went over to the fireplace and tended to it, prodding the logs with a poker, and then putting in a couple more logs.

Anya graciously took the hot chocolate,"Thank you," she said, smiling. Anya took a sip and sighed. It felt so good to drink something hot.
