"Awesome! Hopefully I catch you when you aren't away then. I have a packed summer, so it might be short notice." He sighed and thought of all that he would have to do. The trip to Greece would be the most emotionally draining he knew.

"Thanks. I hope so. I have to do well. My parents are really strict with me. If I don't do good enough I can't come back here next Term." And he would not be going to a Muggle school. Nope. He was going to Graduate from here like how Tammy wanted him to. He would make her proud. "So how are your siblings?"

Alex smiled a little, "I am sure my owl will find me whenever you send it, so no worries. Pending my brothers approval of course, I will be there." She said softly, as she held onto the banister, just to give her fingers something to do.

"You parents really wouldn't let you come back? Wow." She had never heard of such a thing really. But of course, her life wasn't a good example for parents.

"My siblings? They are okay, worried about me. Josh almost came to school a few weeks ago, and they have been owling me constantly, but other than that. They are good. I am excited to see them, I miss my twin." She said softly.

"Okay, great. I'm going to talk to Tammy about it. It all depends on how long we are in Greece for. But I might be able to tell you before summer starts." He watched as she fiddled with her fingers. It was cute. Sorta like Raven and her fidgeting.

He nodded. "Oh yeah. They also almost sent me home after I found that body in December." He was sure she had heard about that. Everyone seemed to have by now. "But they are more strict with me than with Dani because I'm a lot more trouble than she is." She had no idea how much trouble he had gotten into at his old school. But he was really toning it down here.

He didn't comment on her next comment as he still found it rather awkward having put her in this situation as it was all a result of him rejecting her. "I miss my twin too. And Cammy."

Alex nodded and smiled as Torin spoke, she ran her hand up and down the banister as she thought of a response. "Okay, that sounds good to me. Just let me know whenever okay?" She said softly. She still couldn't believe that they were friends after all that had happened.

"Oh I heard about that, I am sorry that you had to find that body." Alex shuddered a little as she remembered. "More trouble than she is? You barely seem to get into trouble at all." She commented as her free hand pushed back a strand of her hair. She smiled at him. "However I could see how you could be trouble." She winked teasingly at him.

"Well, soon we will get to see them, hopefully. I really do miss my family, we became so close after.. well." She waved her hand. "You know, it is hard to be away from them."

He nodded at her first comment and laughed as she winked at him. "Oh, is that so? Why would you think that?" He poked her side. He was totally going to forget about the body thing now. He was having too much fun with her and he was too happy to see that she was coming back to being the Alex that he liked so much.

"I feel the same way about my family. It's going to be so weird when I move away from them."

Alex giggled as Torin poked her side, and for a moment she forgot that he had broken her heart, they were back to where they had been, and no time had elapsed between them. She poked him back, and grinned. "Well, you do have a penchant for mischief." She grinned at him and poked him again.

"I am not sure if I can leave my family for awhile, Oh I know I will have to eventually, but.. It won't be for a few years. I don't think any of us could leave for awhile, you understand." She said softly.

He smiled as she poked him back and then raised his brow. "Who told you that? What was said about me?" He was joking but not at the same time. He really wanted to know what her sources were.

"Mmhmm. I'm so going to visit my family any time that I can though. And you still have to meet them." He wasn't sure when though. Probably when he was staying and helping Tammy before heading off to Raven's party in July.

Alex giggled a little more as Torin spoke, "Well, I heard a few things from Warren, and then just around the school. You know, things get out. Besides, how many boys do you know, wander around shirtless?" She pointed out smiling at him.

Alex nodded as he spoke, her fingers tracing over the polished wood of the banister, "Yes, I still do have to meet them." She hesitated for a moment, "Are you sure it would be okay to meet them, with Tammy and Shanna around? I.. uhh don't think they think so highly of me at the moment. Shanna freaked out when we uhh.. you know.." She looked down for a second.

He raised his arms up in mock defense. "Hey, that wasn't my fault. Warren's girlfriend is crazy. I mean she ruined at least one of m y shirts from what I can see." Thank goodness Warren managed to track some down. Though he wondered how the talk with Lucille would go.

And she was bringing that up now. It was still weird thinking about that as it was how the whole thing started in the first place. "Shana could be a bit of a problem, but Tammy I dunno.." He paused for a second before figuring how to go on with her. He had been doing a lot of thinking the last little while. It had been hard because of all the confusion and awkwardness. "Listen, Alex... I've been thinking a lot about everything and I've realized something... I like you. I mean I really like you." The Alex that she was here. Not the sad Alex. This Alex he loved being around so much.

Alex giggled a little as Torin raised his arms. "Yes, I have heard that she is crazy, but hey I just hear these crazy rumors." She said giggling at him. He was really funny sometimes. It was one of the reasons she had fallen in love with him.

Alex nodded, and she was about to speak, when he opened his mouth and shocked her into silence with those three little words. Dear Merlin? HE likes me?? He likes me??! HE LIKES ME!!!! Alex's eyes got wide, and almost at once, the light returned to her eyes, making them sparkle with life and happiness. However Alex was too stunned to move. The past month had been so hard, and now.. Here he was taking away her pain.

"Torin.." Alex managed to get out, as to her horror, tears started to fill her eyes, and without one word she launched herself into Torin's arms, and held on tight.

He laughed at her reply and was about to say something when suddenly she jumped into his arms. Well, she was a really quick one.

He hugged her as she clung to him and kissed her on the forehead. "I had told you it wasn't you. It was me." But now he had had more time to think and he realized things.

Alex melted into Torin's arms as he held her close and she smiled as he kissed her forehead."Yes, I know you told me, but somehow I assumed that it was me." She said softly, as she pulled back a little to smile up at him. Her eyes alight with happiness.

"So, I guess this makes us more than snogging buddies?" She asked grinning up at him, her arms still around him.

He was happy to see that she wasn't sad anymore. He hated it when she was sad. He had been so worried about her. And feeling so responsible for everything. "Nope, I just wasn't ready yet. What do you think?" he asked her as he poked her nose.

Maybe he'd ask her if she wants to go to Hogsmeade with him.

Alex smiled as Torin poked her nose, "Well, I am sorry that my timing was off, i should have waited for a few more months." She said softly, not wanting to bring up the thing that she was afraid of.

"Well, do.. you know that I am half Veela?" She bit her lip, suddenly worried. "I wanted you to know, before you well.. got more serious?" She said softly as she looked up at him.

"It's okay. It just came out." He shrugged. Yeah, he had to admit that it sorta scared him when she told him all that. But really it was okay now.

And apparently she had forgotten what she had told him in the courtyard not too long before. But he couldn't really blame her. It was understandable seeing the state that she had been at the time. "It's okay. I know about that. Tammy told me."

Alex nodded, "It did just come out, I didn't mean for it too. Honestly, but the words were out of my mouth before I could stop them." She said looking up at him, her eyes twinkling, "I think it might have been your kiss that drove all thoughts out of my head." She winked at him.

Tammy had told him? How did she.. OHHHHH wait.. Tammy was the one who had looked at her and guessed that she was a Veela. That was Torin's best friend. Oh dear. Alex tried not to get nervous, but how do you impress someone who already had a negative opinion of her. This could get tricky..
"Well, I am glad you know. I didn't want to start anything with you, without you knowing." She said looking up at him.

He snorted as she winked at him. "Wow. Who would have thought that I would have that effect on a Veela." He winked back at her, the irony not missed. She was just way too adorable for words.

"I get that. I can't blame you. I'm glad you told me." He noticed that she had seemed a bit worried at the mention of Tammy. Was she worried that the Prefect doesn't like her? "You know I don't think she has anything against you."

Alex grinned a little as Torin spoke, "Well, you are pretty charming, and you have a way of taking my breath away, as well as making words fly from my head." She smiled at him a little, as she pulled back from their hug, and leaned against the railing of the stairs. She tilted her head, and looked at him. Goodness he was too cute for words.

"Well, I sorta had to tell you, I wouldn't want our.. relationship to start out with a lie." She said nodding, that was how her Father and Mother had started out, and well.. That had turned out dandy. "Really? I don't know, when we first met at the beginning of the term, it seemed like she did not like me, I want your friends to like me." She said softly.

Suddenly he felt a bit hot and figured that he was blushing. He had never been told that before. "You aren't so bad yourself. Maybe the most adorable person I know." He winked at her and looked at her as she looked at him. Yep, she was adorable for sure.

"No, lies are bad. I know that well.." That was why Brody wasn't talking to him now. Though really that technically wasn't lying but omitting the truth. "You got the idea that she doesn't like you? How?" That was odd. Tammy was such a sweetheart most of the time.

Alex giggled. Torin was blushing! She had never seen him do that before! She giggled more, her shoulders shaking. She poked his side laughing at him. "You are adorable as well." She said giggling more. He was soo cute! And she had made him blush! How cute was that? "Why thank sir!" She said curtsying to him.

Alex nodded as Torin spoke, "Yes they are. That is how my parents split up." She said softly. "Well, I don't know, she seems to distrust Veela for some reason, I think that might have had something to do with it."

Now she was poking him again. Made her even cuter. Maybe Cammy was the only person cuter than her. 'cause she had the spirit of a little kid without Tammy's naivety. "You're much more adorable."

He frowned as she mentioned her parents. That really sucked. "Well, she assumed that you kept blasting me with your powers. But other than that she didn't really say anything about it. Though she did ask if she could talk to you."

Suddenly his stomach grumbled. He was getting hungry.

Now it was Alex's turn to blush. "Why thank you kind sir, I do declare! All of your compliments shall a Lady blush!" Alex had adopted a country accent as she spoke, and fluttered her eyelashes at him. She giggled again and shook her head.

Alex blinked, "I did not keep blasting you with my powers." She said slightly huffily, so she had used them once. So what? Torin didn't like her because of that. "Talk to me?" She looked away for a moment before responding. "I guess she could talk to me. Why does she want to though?"

Alex laughed as she heard Torin's stomach growl. "Perhaps we should go get you something to eat? Toast perhaps?" She asked with a grin.

He burst into laughter as she adopted an accent and batted her lashes at him. "I love the accent. And this is the second time I've had a gal bat her lashes at me in a month." It was so comical.

He sighed at the huffy tone. "I know you didn't but that's how Tammy is. And she wanted to talk to you because.. she's Tammy and she likes doing that when it comes to me." He honestly wasn't sure. He just knew that she had done that with Brody too. With not much success.

He looked down at his stomach as it grumbled. "Yes, get some toast," he agreed. She knew that he loved toast. haha!

Alex giggled, "Thank you! I picked it up from an old western movie that I had seen awhile ago." She grinned at him, "I just want to make you laugh, that is all." She poked him again and smile.

She listened to what he said about Tammy and she sighed. "Well then, if she really wants to talk to me, than she can. I will do my best to pass whatever test she seems to want to give me." She sighed a bit, as she ran a hand through her hair.

"Well come on then Mr. Kane, let's go down and get you some toast." She said as she pulled his arm.

"Well, you need to keep it, 'cause it's awesome!" he told her as she poked him. She seemed to like poking him today. Well, he was going to poke her back. So he did.

"Tests? I hope not. She should be cool though. You're not Brody." He shrugged. Tammy hated Brody. She could tell him that she didn't all she wanted it was still true and he knew it.

"Yes, ma'am," he replied as she pulled him down the stairs. "So demanding."
