Tino peered in closer, curious. He'd never seen bad dandruff before. "Does it itch?," he queried, staring a hole in Broccoli's forehead. "It doesn't look so bad. Maybe your spell worked. Dandruff looks like head-snow, right?" He remembered all those dandruff commercials from TV. I'm Head and Shoulders clear! Recommended by models and their agents! The Greek boy turned to see both their reflections in the big mirror. He ran his fingers through his own black hair, looking for white specks. Is dandruff contagious? Tino took a step to the side. |
It was funny that Tino should ask that question, because in fact, Broccoli was starting to get a rash from- something. He was certain it was a reaction to someone's pet in the dormitories, but he wasn't sure enough to accuse anyone of it. Subconsciously, Broccoli scratched his head, right under a patch of brown hair. "Sometimes, but not always. It's from having a super dry scalp. Family trait and all that." He paused. "I think." |
"Did you try putting toothpaste on it?," Tino suggested. "It's good for mosquito bites. I've got some in my trunk if you want." He rocked back and forth on his heels, watching the boy scratch with uninhibited fascination. "My family gets athlete's foot. And hemorroids." At the mention of this malady, Tino's mind wandered to the reason he hadn't tried out for Quidditch this year, and he shifted uncomfortably, wincing. To distract himself, he shoved his hands into his pockets and pulled out a small tin and a package of crackers. "Would you like some gorgonzola?," Tino offered, as he always did when meeting new people. "Oh--I'm Tino." |
"Toothpaste?" He inquired. What good would toothpaste do for a rash? Guess it wouldn't hurt to try. At this ponit he'd try anything to stop the itch and avoid the hospital wing. "I guess I could try..." But he got sidetracked by another question. "It's Broccoli," he said offering a hand to shake. "What's gorgonzola? |
Tino looked down at the cheese in his hands. It didn't look anything like broccoli. It wasn't even green. He gave the other boy an odd look. "Noooooo," he said slowly. "It's cheese. Bleu cheese, actually. This is the soft kind. See? You scoop some with a cracker." He demonstrated, digging into the foil with his wasa and shoving the whole loaded mound into his mouth. "Mmmmmmmm," Tino sighed blissfully, munching. "'S gooood. One of my favorites." He dipped another cracker and placed it into his new friend's expectantly open hand. "Try it! You wouldn't even know it's mould." What was this kid's name again? Did he miss it? Likely. Oh well, he'd just refer to him as 'Baldy' in his mind. |
Tavelon was walking down the hallway when he noticed a large mirror. He paused and frowned, looking into it. He ran his hand through his hair. That was better. Tavelon continued walking. |

BAM. Celandine stuck the bits of parchment up right on the mirror and skipped off. The sooner she was done, the better right? |

After he looked, Jake noticed a vaguely familiar woman on a wanted posted. He smirked. Okay, granted, they HAD missed out some detail... but oh well! She was still wanted. Bwaha. Stepping back a little, Jake lined up his camera so he got a good shot of the poster, the ode (which he couldn't read) and himself, all in the same shot. With a click, all was done, and Jake's homework was finished. The boy smiled, and went to get all his pictures together. |
Arianna was pouting hard. She had no idea why, well she had some idea, but she wasn't giving it much attention. She found herself wondering the floors and ended up by the mirror. Tapping her way inside to the secret compartment she sighed looking around. It was... well.. it was a cubicle, small and stone all around, except for the mirror of course. She sat on the floor. Today she was wearing high boots and jeans, with a nice comfortable sweater the covered most of her legs. With it a scarf and a knitted hat, keeping her hair in place. No need for heavy coats, the weather was finally dry and she welcomed it with pleasure. She spread her books across the floor. The mirror was her favourite place in the hole castle, there she could be alone with her thoughts, and Rafe. She hadn't seen him since her dramatic departure the other day. That made her feel a little embarrassed... She sighed shaking her head and concentrating on the books in front of her. |
Rafe peeked around to make sure no one was looking as he went behind the mirror. "Oh!" Rafe yelled kind of startled as he tripped over one of the books on the ground and landed flat on his back looking up at Arianna. "Hey, Little Italy," he whispered in pain. It felt like books were jabbing him every which way. "Looks like we got the same idea," he slowly sat back up, rubbing his now sore back. "Why do you have all these books out anyways?" Rafe scooched back to lean against the wall and began taking out a few of his own books. He didn't even bother asking if she minded if he was there. They were best friends after all, why would she mind? |

"I have books because I like to read remember? I'm just trying to get ahead of this here, I've been a little behind lately" she said nonchalantly writing something in her notebook looking up again. She felt awkward, like she had to apologise for the other day, but at the same time she didn't want to do it, so instead she babbled "So what have you been up to? Kissed any more damsels in distress?" that came out wrong, she though, quickly correcting it " I mean, are you getting yourself stressed?" that didn't made sense too. She bit her lip. |
"Well yeah, I know you like to read... in fact," he rached in his satchel and pulled out a wrapped present for Arianna. "I've been meaning to give you this, but you always seem to be disappearing on me...so Happy Christmas and Merry Birthday and all that jazz, I really hope you like it." It was the book Arianna wanted from the bookshop from when they met the 1st day. "And as for kissing...no I have not!" Rafe said sharply. "Besides, I have yet to kiss someone or make the first move... remember that chicka kissed me." Rafe shook his head. Girls! |

"Rafe I.." she was feeling so ashamed of the way she acted she could feel the tears in her eyes " Thank you.." she cleaned her eyes, pretending to be scratching her nose and opened the book, taking it to her nose and breathing deeply. "I love how books smell when they're new.." she murmured, almost only to herself. Well, she had to say something, she had to apologise now, he was being so nice and kind. And it didn't make sense for her to be upset that he kissed girls. Darn it, after all he could kiss all the girls he wanted right? They were friends, not a couple. "I'm sorry I left so abruptly the other day, it wasn't my intention, I wasn't mad or anything " she said quietly peeking at him. " Now seriously, how are you? " |

"Well, I'm glad you like it, it's certainly overdue," Rafe said with a nod. He began to open his own book on Romanian Wizarding Families. He laughed as she smelled her book. "Well only a bookworm would know how good a book smells," Rafe was tempted to smell his own book, but stopped himself. Now she was apologizing? "You really don't have anything to apologize for, I mean I was a bit preoccupied and I'm sure you had something to do..." Rafe shrugged. "As for me, I guess I'm going alright. I'm a bit confused about well," cough, cough, "This girl. See," he put down his book..., "I think she might have a thing for me, I mean she's always blushing and talks to me A LOT...and I just get a hint that she might want me to ask her out or something..." Rafe went back to his book, but that wasn't all he wanted to say and slammed it out his side again, "Why are girls so complicated? I mean they're always hanging out in groups, so you never get time alone with them to find out how they really feel and then what if they don't like you and it blows up in your face!" |
Quote:
"It she blushes.." she swallowed " I think she might like you, and if she does, she's clearly wishing for you to ask her out, which you don't have to do if you don't like her you know...?" she said quickly, trying to clear that point " but if you do like her, even a little, you should pull her out of the little group and talk with her" she smiled in a friendly way " but I don't understand, I mean, girls aren't like wolfs, we don't walk in packs or something.. at least I don't" she said folding her arms over her chest then laughing with the funny analogy she came up with. "Like wolfs understand?" and she laughed more. |

"I mean she is rather pretty," even though he kind of preferred brunettes, Rafe glanced at Ari and blushed at the thought. "And she's loads of fun to hang out with and we seem to have a lot in common...I mean, that's a good basis of asking someone out right? I mean, sooooo she might be a little older, but I practically look older than her, so that shouldn't be a problem." The age difference did sort of bother him, but it's not like someone his own age was pursuing him. Rafe laughed at her little wolf joke, but then a sudden feel of dread swept over him. He hit his palm to his forehead, "Oh bloody hell, what if she finds out I'm a well you know... and then will dump me on the spot. Well, I guess it was meant to be then. Maybe she'll accept me for who I am like you. I just won't tell her...it's not like I could if I wanted to." Rafe chuckled. Maybe he would just ask Lucy out? But, he would have to wait for more signs, he definitely didn't want to rush into anything. |

Instead she smiled again, " I think that's enough basics! Go Tiger!" she said jokingly punching the air. " She's much older than you?" she asked curiously " oh.. but if she doesn't accept you for who and what you are, she doesn't deserve you then, I mean, you are what you are, being a .. you know what, doesn't really change that. In fact it just makes you more special than anyone else right?" she said reaching forward and squeezing his hand " everything will be alright, she would be crazy not to like you" she said. It was becoming easier to talk and be positive. Rafe deserves the best, and if this girl is it, then I welcome her. |

Rafe took a deep sigh. "Alright enough about me..." Rafe took his seat against the wall once more kind of diagonally from Ari. "What about you? Anything I can help you with? I charge 100 galleons an hour though," Rafe laughed. |
Quote:
" Well my life is more of the same, I have the looks, apparently, but that doesn't really change anything. I hanged with Theo today though..." she said with a small giggle, remembering it. " but if you're going to charge 100 galleons an hour I hope you're referring to chocolate galleons!" she said pinching him on the leg. |
Quote:
"So, is that the guy you're into? I mean you could..." do a lot better is what he was thinking, but Rafe was trying not to be mean, "...try hanging out with him more, maybe he'll like you?" Rafe popped his knuckles. And then jumped a little as she pinched him. "Oy! I'm only joking," Rafe laughed. "I guess this session can be free of charge." |
Quote:
" He was really nice to me, we talked a lot, and it reminded me of our talks my little cup" she teased " He's lending me a book.." she confessed blushing and looking away from Rafe. That had made her day. |

She rolled her eyes and laughed " who did everything got to have to do with dating?" she said amused. |
Quote:
"Well, it's all about growing up, right?" Rafe laid his head on her shoulder. "It's like the innocence is lost and adulthood is already sneaking up on us." |
Quote:
" You know, I kinda told Theo I liked him..." she whispered looking away, blushing again. |
