Carter entered the room and took a seat waiting for the 'pep rally' to begin.

Rafe walked in rather cheerfully and tried to stay upbeat. He was upset that they were behind so many points, but felt like he was contributing the best he could. He did every single homework assignment that came his way and contributed in class when he knew the answer. But, perhaps he really should have been working on encouraging his fellow students!

"Hello Professor Dumont! I wish we were meeting under different circumstances," he said grimly as he took a seat. Rafe hoped more students showed up. The more the merrier. This was a very important cause.

Although a part of her was slightly aware of where she was and why, LouAnn Purple was, for the most part, acting as if she was completely out of it. She walked into the Common Room with her now-usual blank expression, her eyes not blinking at all. Without a word, she headed to the very back of the meeting room, felt in her pocket for a brief moment, then took a seat. Five minutes later she blinked several times, then completely came to, her entire face lighting up in contrast to the face she'd worn several minutes ago. "Hi, everyone," she cheerfully said. "Good day, Professor Dumont."

Alex blinked as she walked into the room to see their head of house and a few other students in there. What was going on? She looked around and took a seat. She hoped it wasn't one of those, "We are Gryffindor and we are great" Sort of things, cause she hated being a Gryffie.. She sighed, ran a hand through her hair and looked around more.

Herminny entered the Gryffindor common room for the pep rally with optimism. She was'nt too happy Gryffidor was behind by so many ponts and something like this could only help she thought to herself as she saw her HOH wating at the door for Gryffindors to file in for a hopefully productive pep rally. Herminny beamed yp at him and said, "Hello professor Dumont", and then took a seat and waited for the so called pep rally to begin.

Jason Potter Weasley comes to the pep rally. He takes a seat. " Hello all of you" jason tells the Gryffies. " Hi Professor DuMont" Jason said to him. " You know I am proud to be a Gryffindor and I will call it out on a mountain top" Jason Potter Weasley told all the students and the professor. " I am very passionate about my house" Jason said to all. " If I am correct, this could be about homework and classes but I am completely really unsure about ti" Jason said to the students.

Jack wandered into the common room, quite glad that he had finished all his homework for the night. AND he had finished tryouts! He deserved a night off before focusing on his homework yet again...and now they had a meeting.

He normally didn't mind these meetings, he just wasn't sure if his eyes would stay open throughout the whole meeting. He sat down next to LouAnn, who was looking awfully...peppy, if that was the right word, and sighed, letting himself yawn as he waited for Dumont to begin.

" Hi LouAnn" Jason told her as he sat on the other side of her. "Wow. seems like you are the rose and we are the thorns talking about himself and the other boy sitting on other side of her. " Better get your sticks ready" Jason laughed. "So how are you tonight?" Jason asked Lou Ann.

"Hey, Jason! I'm pretty cool. How are you doing?" LouAnn replied, turning to face the older boy who'd just sat down to the right of her. It took her a moment to understand all the rose and thorn talk, but when she did, she laughed good-naturedly. "Awww, come on, now. I'm sure there aren't that many boys ready to beat down the door to meet and greet with me." She gave him a silly face, then turned to greet Jack. "What's up, Jack? How's quidditch coming along?" At least the students could chat a little while they waited for the meeting to begin. LouAnn wondered what it was about but didn't really speak up and ask.

"Well all those boys would be wrong" Jason told LouAnn. " Am I right?" Jason asked the boy sitting at the other side of LouAnn. " By the way, I am Jason Potter Weasley" he told the other boy. " nice to meet your aquaitance" jason put his hand out to shake the other boy's hand. Now Jason is ready for the pep rally and Professor DuMont to speak.

Jack blinked and looked around. OOOOH! Someone was talking to him. Jack recognized the guy from the dorms, but they had never spoken till then. "Hi! I'm Jack Fritzera," he said. He blinked again, a bit confused about what he was talking about...boys? LouAnn? GAHH Jack really needed to nap more, cause he was tireeeeed and sooo out of it. He chuckled. "Sorry I didn't introduce myself earlier...these classes are making me exhausted!"

Lilly walked into the meeting and sat down. she looked around and saw a fair number of people there already. she didn't know why the meeting was happening but she had a clue. we weren't doing so hot point wise. well things would hopefully go better after this meeting.

"Well nice to meet you Jack" Jason told him. " Yes, these are hard times for Gryffindor." Jason said to Jack. "Classes are exhausting as well as homework but it has to be done so we can win the house cup" Jason told Jack. " Of course, if we get to work with LouAnn, work would be easier" Jason winked at her. Jason thinks to himself that Lou Ann Purple is cute.

Antonio looked around and saw that there were some students there, but he knew that more would be showing up soon. "Hello, everyone," he addressed the group. "Some of your classmates are in classes right now, but I'm sure they will be dropping in later and that's fine. I wanted to meet with all of you today and address a few concerns, concerns about Gryffindor's current standing in the house points. I would like to see Gryffindor do a lot better, and I am prepared to offer some incentives for those who do a good job. Sometimes that kind of thing can act as a power enticement to help someone do better, but we'll talk about that later. The question right now is, what is it going to take to put Gryffindor in first place? And the second question is, how badly do you students want that?"

"Well there's the obvious, more classroom attendance and answering questions, and then completing the homework thoroughly, but I think that's what we've been doing. Perhaps people are lacking incentive or do not fully understand the rewarding opportunity of winning the house cup," Rafe suggested. "Perhaps if we decreased the number of sleep hours combined with cutting back on leisure time, should put us on the right track to success," Rafe forced a smile. He was being very sarcastic of course.

He was pretty sure that if people wanted to do the homework they would and participate in class they would, people were already set in their ways and Gryffindors definitely looked like slackers. Continuing the sarcasm, "Or we could make the other houses look bad and blame them for things they didn't commit and hope they lose house points!" Rafe really hoped no one was taking him seriously, but he was actually kind of frustrated with some of his fellow students. He did all the work, and if he could take on an extra workload he would.

Zoe slipped into the room and found a comfortable seat. She had been doing her Transfiguration homework in the common room waiting for the meeting to start and had dozed off. When she woke up she had noticed that the common room had almost emptied. She thought for a moment that she had slept through the whole thing. Luckily she had seen someone slipping into this room just before she was about to give up for the night.

It was a little disparaging to be here for this reason. She didn't know quite what to do. It seemed to her that all of the people that were there were in class contributing on a regular basis. How were they going to pull this off, she asked herself.

" My thought is all of rhe students doing study sessions and helping with homework" jason told Professor DuMont. " In classes, we should all take Gryffindor as partners so we could get some points" Jason told him.

Chris Potter walled into the spare room off the Common Room that was were the meeting was being held. When he walked in he noticed a few students were already in there. He smiled at them and waved and then walked up to stand next to the HoH Professor Dumont. He had said it would be nice for the Prefects to help out in the meeting. "Hello Professor Dumont, not too late am I?" he asked with a grin. He sure hoped this meeting would help!

Antonio caught the obvious sarcasm right away. "Well, those are novel approaches, aren't they?", he commented. "People would be seeing Gryffindor in a whole new light." He laughed, knowing that Rafe was not serious.

"Those are good ideas, Jason," Antonio said. "It isn't always possible to take another Gryffindor in the classes, but it does sometimes work. It's something to consider. I do know that other houses have study sessions and things, and that is something we can talk about, too. I am open to all suggestions."

"No, Chris, you're just on time," Antonio smiled. "We are just getting some ideas on some things that would motivate students from Gryffindor to be a bit more - ah - competitive - in the house point race, and I was saying that any ideas are welcome."

Antonio had noticed that the quidditch captain, Jack, was there as well, and he was glad of that, because he wanted to make sure all the students supported the quidditch team and that was another thing he wanted to discuss with the students. He had ideas about that, too. There were lots of parties and events he had planned, but that would all come up in due time.

Josh stepped into the meeting room right after the prefect boy still wondering what would be the plans to save them from the currect lackness of points. He was also feeling a little bit guilty of it for he forgot doing one or two of the homework. He looked around, there were already several housemates ''Hi, people!'' he said and walked forward ''Hi, professor. I'm not late, am i?'' and found himself somewhere to get seated. Looked like his mom was rgiht about classes and doing homewrok as she used to be about everything else. Remembering that was quite annoying.

Zoe raised her hand to comment on pairing with someone from Gryffindor for classes, "I agree that it would be a good idea to try to pair up with another Gryffindor in classes. I know that sometimes points are shared in teams, like in Divination for instance, and it would be better to get those extra points for us, rather than giving them away."

Daisy and Vivianne slipped into the room as people were starting to discuss what Gryffindors could do to start winning points. Daisy wasn't exactly sure what the rally would accomplish but she wasn't about to question the Head of House's motives.

She found them both a spot to sit on the floor and got comfortable as she folded her legs under her and adjusted her skirt. “So,” she whispered to Vivianne. “What do you think we missed?"

Via followed Daisy and settled beside her, she shook her head when she heard her ask something. "I don't know," she whispered and shrugged. She had the idea that it's about house points. Just like the past few years, it's always their problem and somehow she was right.

"Come on, I know we have even better ideas than mine in earning points" Jason told the students there. " Someone come up with a better idea and I am all for it except Rafes" Jason told the students and then laughed when he
metioned Rafe's sarcastic ideas. Of course, limiting our time at HogsMeade could be ok.
