OOC: Hey, can we pretend it's a new day?

Ella skipped inside Madame Puddifoot's with Carter, extremely happy.
"Boy, do I have news to tell you!" she said excitedly.

ooc: haha, I love how off the 'times' are. I have two selves here right now... hope that doesn't get confusing.

"What's up?" Carter asked when Ella skipped in excitedly. Boy, was she excited about something.

Kylie looked at Kay, "I'm okay, really." A lot of her normal color had returned to her cheeks and she was glowing more like she usually did. Her eyes were regaining their normal sparkle. She looked at Carter, "Oh.. Carter.. you didn't have to pay.." She said, holding up a few galleons. "Is it all right if I pay you back?" She felt really guilty about it.

Carter smiled. "Don't worry about it." he said. "My parents raised me that if I'm out with girls to pay for their things. That it was polite." he said remembering how both Tori and Ella reacted when he bought things for them.

"Guess what?! Ella smiled, just about to burst, "Nate asked me to be his girlfriend!"

A second after it slipped out, it didn't seem right, yet what was she to do? Big-mouthed Ella. And Carter had a right to know... right?

"Oh..." Carter said his face falling slightly. He was not a fan of this. Not one bit. "And what did you say...?" Please let it not be yes... please let it not be yes... please let it not be yes...

Kylie was a little surprised, but she had been raised to respect people and accept their graciousness as long as you could return it later. She'd have to do something nice for Carter later. "Well then.. thank you." She didn't want to make a huge scene out of Carter's kindness. She wrapped her hands around the mug and took a long sip of the hot liquid. It felt good sliding down her throat. It further warmed her cheeks, bringing them back to their normal, healthy, pink color. She'd always wondered why her cheeks did that, as the rest of her skin stayed a more normal color.

Kay was a little shocked that Carter had paid before she could get her money out. she was always on her own and never had someone pay for her. Well Lorcan had, but that had turned out bad. "Thanks Carter,.." Kay said turning to watch Kylie. She looked a lot better and Kay didn't want to upset her. "Kylie are you really feeling better." Kay wanted to go punch Nate in the nose. The muggle way, just once. He didn't have to have put on such a show in the middle of the street. Kay giggle a little at the thought. Her dad had show her how. 'For time you can use your wand.' He had told her.

"No problem." Carter said drinking more of his tea. He waited for Kylie to answer. He too was concerned about how she was feeling.

"Well...yeah!" Ella grinned, just hoping he might show her happiness also.

OOC: This is before she knew that you and Nate dislike each other ;]

"Well... er... congratulations... I guess." Carter said looking down. Who was he kidding? He wasn't happy. He had walked in on Kylie and Nate breaking up. And he had seen the two of them flirt while Nate was still dating Kylie. He couldn't believe what he was hearing. Ella was smarter than that!

Ella could tell something was stirring between them. "Um.. thanks." She tried to read his face, which she had tried to do many times before, but was unsuccessful. All she could tell was that he wasn't quite what you'd call thrilled. Why?

"Are you okay?" she asked hesitantly.

"Yeah. I'm fine!" Kylie replied brightly. Everything about her seemed brighter, her eyes were green again. Bright green. She just seemed.. bright. "It all seems really silly now." Even though there was still a bit of a hole in her heart. She smiled, nonetheless.

Nate walked in and sat down at a table for two in the back corner. He was wearing really dark skinny jeans and a white v-neck t-shirt. He had a leather jacket over his outfit. He waited to order for Ella to come.

Ella walked in Madame Puddifoot's happily changed into her dress, wondering if she overdid it a little, but was cheery nevertheless. Nate was looking spankin' hot as always, and she allowed all those thoughts to actually come through now.

"Hey!" she smiled toward him, sitting down at a nice table.

Ella looked hawt. He stood up and pulled out a chair for her and then sat down agian. He placed his hand over her's. "Hey. What would you like to eat?" he said handing her a menu.

"How 'bout some apple pie with ice cream? I can never get enough of that stuff," Ella laughed. "It doesn't really matter to me much. You can choose."

"I just want coffee because we had cake. You can have apple pie." he said rubbing her hand with his thumb. "I like your dress, hawty." Nate winked at her.

"You know what? I think I'll have the same. You've been distracting me from managing what I eat. I've been loading up on fat stuff for a while," Ella proclaimed. Wheee doggies, he was touchy. She blushed at his compliment (or was it his touch?).

Nate smiled at he blushing. "Are you saying your fat?" he teased her.

ooc: way to taint 'our special place' by coming with Nate. Better not tell Carter... and I have another clone here too, so hopefully it won't be too bad

"Yeah." Carter said trying to cheer up. Why was he so upset about this. He took a deep breath. Calm down Carter... calm down... Maybe he should just make an excuse to leave? He looked over at door and then back at Ella. Decisions... decisions...

Man up Carter. Just tell her how you feel.

Yeah, that wasn't going to happen...

"So... umm... how... why... what happened?"



Carter smiled. He was glad Kylie was feeling better. He knew it would take some time, but this was progress. He then realized he didn't know much about these girls. "So, tell me about yourselves." he said looked between Kylie and Kay.

Kay looked at Kylie and then back to Carter. Does she tell someone she just met about herself, someone from a different house. Kay turned back to Kylie and it didn't look like she was going to say anything. "Oh, Sorry. If we were to do this right." Kay said holding her hand out. "Kaytone Potter Evans, I am pleased to meet you sir. I come from a little town out of London, it's called Fulton. I live....ah..with my grandmother." Kay stopped there thinking that was enough for now. She hope that Kylie would jump in at any time.

Kylie was glad she'd waited for Kay to respond first, she needed to get more comfortable with telling people about herself. "Hm. Well, let's see. I...err...I was born in France, moved to a little town outside of London when I was six. My mum was a squib, my brother and dad are both muggles. I caught the gene from my grandmother; she realized I was a witch when I was about eight. Every weekend, I went to my grandmother's house and worked on magic and stuff. Learning about the wizarding world and basically being tutored in everything. My grandma's seriously paranoid and is convinced I might face a dark wizard at any moment--so I should be prepared. She also didn't me to 'look like a right git' when I came to Hogwarts by not knowing anything about wizarding history. My parents still wanted me to get a muggle education for various reasons, so during the school week I'd go to muggle school. Errr.. I like running, horse-back riding, sailing, and rock climbing. I play a lot of musical instruments including clarinet, flute, trumpet, piano, guitar, and saxophone.. errr... and my birthday's on Valentines Day." Kylie concluded. She didn't think she was really missing anything, her life had been relatively average. She was, of course, a bit flustered with her grandmother for forcing all that down her throat.. but she could see more reasonably why it may come in handy one day. Kylie laughed quietly as she drank her tea, "Is that enough of a background check?" She joked. "What about you Mr. Carter Phillips?"

Carter listened to Kay and Kylie tell him about themselves. He laughed a bit when Kylie finished. "Yeah, that was perfect." he said. Hmm... now about himself... what to say, what to say...

"Well, I'm a muggle-born, so Hogwarts was a complete surprise. My parents travel a lot. They're doctors and do a lot for charity. So I've been all over the world with them. I played a lot of football (soccer) growing up. I was actually good enough to make it into a camp to train for national teams. And that's all I can think of right now."

Kay laughed at the way Kylie put out her life story. kay wouldn't be able to do that for a while yet. But she had told Carter more then is had anyone else, but Kylie..oh..and Lorcan. "I think that covered everything Kylie." Kay laughed again looking at Carter for his turn. "Wow, football. that's great. I love sports, Quidditch the most. I have practice tomorrow." Kay said 'why did I say that.' Kay thought.
