Tall bookshelves are scattered throughout the library, the smooth wood gleaming brightly in the sun that shines in through the stained glass windows. Tens of thousands of books rest upon the shelves, all waiting to be explored by eager minds. They stretch along the walls, filling each shelf and dark corner. A catalogue system has been put in place to ensure that finding and retrieving a book becomes a simple task, for the sheer amount of books can be overwhelming, particularly to the youngest of students.
At the end of the first few bookshelves in the front of the library sits a pedestal. An open book with a soft golden light emitting from it, has been placed upon the pedestal. As you approach the book, you hear a rustling and then a gentle pop. “Come closer, come closer. Don’t be afraid.” A jolly voice speaks.

When you finally do peek into the pages of a book, an elderly gentleman peers out at you, one hand rising to adjust his spectacles. “Now. What book is it that you seek? I can give you a general location or a more specific one if you know the exact title of the book.”

Once you speak your request, the man ponders for a few moments before scribbling on a piece of parchment. Squinting at what he has written, he looks back up and smiles, before speaking the location of the book. “Happy reading!” He exclaims before settling back down into a still, flat image.

OOC: Please note that the jolly man is for entertainment purposes only. I will not be RPing him each time a student approaches asking for a book.

And he was talking again. As if he actually thought she'd change her shoes just because he said so. Adrienne wasn't even sure she'd change her shoes if a professor said something. I certainly didn't let the shopkeeper in DA do anything about or with my shoes. And I'm sure the professors have seen me before now, and haven't commented on my shoes. So there, she thought, resisting the urge to stick her tongue out childishly. Especially since she knew Dominic wouldn't know what she had been thinking. "First off, just to poke a hole in your little statement, approval for footwear would actually be part of the dress code, not something separate. You wear shoes, therefore they are part of your 'dress'. And secondly, just because you don't seem to care if you're wearing nice shoes doesn't give you the right to attack people who do. Head boy or not," she said, glancing down at his feet just to verify he wasn't wearing anything nice. Never fun saying things when the person could refute it right away.

Returning her gaze to his face, her eyes sparkled as she took his last comment as a bit of a challenge. To himself, though, not her. "You're 'pretty sure' the dress code doesn't include designers. Well, even if I had a copy of said dress code, I'm certain it wouldn't say anything at all about whether we can wear designer shoes or not. It's a person's choice, and just because we have school uniforms doesn't mean we can't still have our own sense of style. Nobody's ever gotten on my case in previous terms about my choice in shoes. Including professors." She smiled a little, deprecation and amusement fairly obvious as she continued speaking, leaning slightly against the shelf. "But just for a bit of enlightenment, what exactly are these guidelines, oh great and powerful Dominic Denton?" Something told her he was going to continue to argue, and she wanted to be comfortable.

*Gabben walked down the rows running his fingers over the books. He felt odd being away for so long. But was glad that he had talked the court into letting him take schooling here. He smirked as he pulled out the book he was looking for. Flowers and Powders He found a seat and started to read.*

Walking into the library Shana stopped.Looked behind her and carried on walking.She did the same 'Stop,Turn,Look,Walk' Rootine more than several times before stopping infront of a book shelf.She needed a book on apologies to write a new letter to Torin.He should so be nice to her,she was reading.Shana hated reading and She was Reading for Torin.Hmph.He should consider himself lucky.

Warren walked into the library. She stopped and stared over at the massive long aisles. He looked over and he could see two familer faces, Tammy & Shana. He crept behind Tammy and put his hands over her eyes.

Lucille walked through the library. She loved the smell of the dusty old books and the moth eaten pages. She was serching the shelves, for nothing in particular, when she caught sight of someone. "Warren!" she almost called excitedly, but she clamped her hand on her mouth for two reasons. First, they were in a library, you had to be quiet, and second, he looked like he already had company. It didnt help that one of the girls was a prefect, which intimidated her slightly.. Lucille hovered, unsure whether to go over. She didn't want to interrupt him. She bit her lip.

"You didn't do the homework, did you? You watch out, you little rebel. Youll be fetting fire to the loo's soon if your not carefull." she chuckled. He knew that she was joking, of course.
She noticed that Warren looked troubled. She didn't like that. "Warren," she said, "are you okay?" She was surprised at the amount of concern that was in her voice. She reached out to pat his hand and smiled gently.

Then she visably rolled her eyes.

"Leave your hair alone!" she said, laughing and slapping his hand away from his own head. "It looks fine!" Trying to impress someone?" she said, looking at the other girls with her eyebrows raised comicaly.

He ment every word, even though Tammy was short, Warren would always make a joke about anything, thats who he is. Reblish antics. Being Warren, he would get up to practicly anything, including stink pellets and dumg bombs. Ahh yes the classic wizardry jokes. Warren was well known for practical jokes, him aswell as his twin brother Dave. ' Stink pellets, dung bombs... ' the list carried on.

Lucille looked up at Warrens touch. "Ok, but don't tell her!" she pleaded. "I dont want to be the help case." If Lucille hated anything, it was not being able to look after herself. "Ill be fine with just you" she aded and smiled. She listened to the list.

Classic Warren, she thought. She wished she had been there to see it, stink pellets always garenteed a laugh.

"Hmm, i must join you sometime," she said. "Sounds like someones been having fun." Lucille chuckled at the thought. She was still frustrated at herself for letting him see that she was upset before, so the laughter came out a little mufled.

Sighing Tammy looked at Shana. "Is this your apology?" Again the fingers wrapped around the word apology. "Look Shana," She took a few steps forward and placed one of her arms aorund the youngster. "I'm not taking sides 'kay. What I'm saying is, i'm gonna talk to her, i'm gonna try get along with her because she's Torins girlfriend. You cant get the hump because I'm doing that. I dont want to hate anyone. I want to get through this year. Sailing through it. Y'see where I'm coming from yes?"
