Tall bookshelves are scattered throughout the library, the smooth wood gleaming brightly in the sun that shines in through the stained glass windows. Tens of thousands of books rest upon the shelves, all waiting to be explored by eager minds. They stretch along the walls, filling each shelf and dark corner. A catalogue system has been put in place to ensure that finding and retrieving a book becomes a simple task, for the sheer amount of books can be overwhelming, particularly to the youngest of students.
At the end of the first few bookshelves in the front of the library sits a pedestal. An open book with a soft golden light emitting from it, has been placed upon the pedestal. As you approach the book, you hear a rustling and then a gentle pop. “Come closer, come closer. Don’t be afraid.” A jolly voice speaks.

When you finally do peek into the pages of a book, an elderly gentleman peers out at you, one hand rising to adjust his spectacles. “Now. What book is it that you seek? I can give you a general location or a more specific one if you know the exact title of the book.”

Once you speak your request, the man ponders for a few moments before scribbling on a piece of parchment. Squinting at what he has written, he looks back up and smiles, before speaking the location of the book. “Happy reading!” He exclaims before settling back down into a still, flat image.

OOC: Please note that the jolly man is for entertainment purposes only. I will not be RPing him each time a student approaches asking for a book.

He was scratching his head in thought as he tried to figure out where he could find something that could help with the OWL, but the problem was that he was in the Muggle Studies section judging on the titles of books that explained things like cars, microwaves and and TVs.

He started moving along the aisle, figuring that maybe there was a little area in this row with the books he needed.

He was about three quarters across when he suddenly bumped into something solid that definitely felt like a person.

Sylvia said in a patronizing tone as she brought herself back together, and picked her Muggle Politics book from off the floor. Damn, she'd lost her page.

"I think I'm obliged to inform you that what you did was extremely rude, especially to someone like ... oh, it's you." She couldn't really have a rant at Torin, she'd lose a friend if she did. "I mean, hi." Sylvia smiled slightly and started flicking through the book, looking for her page again. "Though really, just becuase you're a friend, it doesn't give you a pass." She smirked at him. "Why aren't you looking where you're going?"

Raven headed into the library with her bag hanging from her shoulder which was full of a combination of parchment and books but she still needed to get a couple books for her OWL preparation. Scanning the bookshelves slightly, she stopped when she came across the Potions section then grabbed a few books which were perfect for her studying, she looked around to find a table then she set her bag down along with the books then opened one and began reading it over.

NEWTs were soon, and Tammy had to get like studying, even though she had already failed. Might aswell get a move on and try for her own sake. After grabbing a few books that would help her with Herbology, she headed over to a table and took a quick seat. Books on table, turn to bag. Turn back, knock books over.

POOR GIRL. Book, hit her. "I'm real sorry.."

Raven stopped reading when out of the corner of her eye, she noticed someone setting their books and bag down on the table; she moved her stuff slightly then saw immediately what was going to happen but couldn't stop it. A book hit her side and she rubbed her side ever so slightly then frowned ever so slightly. "It's quite alright, accidents happen, trust me things could have ended up much worse." she said, her Irish accent returning a lot stronger than it had been the last time she spoke to Torin.

I'm never really this clutzy, just trying to cram in studying and stuff. It's real nervewracking." Okay, so she really was a clutz. But the girl needn't know that. "Tammy Wood." "Ah the interruption is welcome, honestly I've studied so much that my brain feels like its about to melt." Raven said with a slight chuckle as she took out some parchment and a quill then began taking some notes as she began reading a special chapter that seemed to gather her interest. "Oh yes, its not difficult for me to figure it out so I thought that I would spend time going over advanced concepts."

"Well thank you, I'm going to need the luck. So much material to cover with not a lot of time to comprehend it all." Raven said then put her head down on the table for a couple minutes as she attempted not to have a mini freakout in the middle of the library.

Oops. He knew that voice. Even when it was rather annoyed. Like it had been in The Three Broomsticks a few months before.

"I'm sorry, Sylvia," he told her apologetically as he turned to look at her. Well, at least she was fine. The annoyance was a tip off there. And she didn't fall over so... she really couldn't be all that mad at him.

"So how are you doing?" He wondered if she had heard about his new girlfriend yet.

The more he searched, the more he was starting to worry. How in the world was he going to explain that a rather large werewolf just...disappeared! "Bontecouuu," he called, looking between the shelves as well. Where were the students? Didn't they study? Or READ. Everyone read. Mhmm.

Fia made her way down to the library to study for a change, study what, she had no idea...but...meeting Miles here would be a good thing. Huffies were dropping like flies in the school and she was scared to come out of her room and sending owls back and forth to Miles was getting a little old.

As she walked into the library, she heard a french male voice calling...the Headmaster? Her head turned from side to side, her eyes searching for wherever this person was until she came up on a strange man and stopped just short in front of him.

"Umm...who are you and why are you calling for the Headmaster?" Soooo she was a person who went straight to the point, no beating around the bush. Strange man in her school meant something was going on. It was time to be nosy.

Chad bit the inside of his mouth for a second, trying to think of an answer to the rather inquiring female student. "Uhh...your Headmaster and I have...uh, gotten into a round of 'hide and seek'. He seems to be winning," Chad added in a rather disgruntled tone. "...You have not happened to have seen him...have you?"

Miles walked up to the library to study with Fia not really sure why he suggested it but it sounded something logical in his brain. Looking around he found her by the bookshelves and snuck up behind her but stopped when he heard her talking to someone else. "Umm...hello?" he said with a smile but a curious look to the man that he'd never seen before. Huffies being killed and she's talking to a stranger?! How smart...not. Wrapping one arm around her he slipped the other into his pocket grasping his wand. He wasn't sure what he'd do but...he'd do something no one hurt his Fi. "You need some help?" he said to the out of place man who seemed to be looking for something.

Okay, so... Jake was, yes, in hiding. But he had to try and STUDY, right? And he couldn't get his books because... well... he'd lost them.

And that meant library.

And that meant... a strange man, calling for Bontecou.

Peeking around a shelf, Jake saw one of the girls he had seen at the Deathday party and cautiously stepped forwards. When was the last time he'd seen the man? He could help the strange man he knew nothing of and could be a dark wizard for all he knew.

"Duhhh-duh-did you chhhheck his offffice?" he asked, painfully ingorant of the situation.

A, a , .... aaaaaaa...... Auuuuu.... AURORS where are youuuu.... Gah, so many books and so difficult to find the one you are looking for! Well, miss Kohan had pointed her to this direction...so it should be here.

Aurors! There it is! "Aha!" Miranda exclaimed rather loudly. Grimacing at the loudness, IN A LIBRARY, she grinned and took out the book about aurors, hoping to be able to learn more about that particular career. It was interesting, running around, catching bad wizards...maybe meeting a dark creature or two.

She opened the book and, running a finger down the paragraph, she took in what it said. Well, she would definitely have to sit down. And off she walked over to a table...still reading mind you, when she suddenly hit a wall. Or she thought. "Ooouuch!" rubbing her nose, she looked up and saw it was a man. A STRANGE man, who seemed to be LURKING. And there were other students aswell... STRANGE. Oh! There was JAKE! "Excuse me SIR, but who are you??" she asked indignified. Her nose hurt.

Fia's green eyes widened as she stared at the man for a moment. Was he serious? "You need to practice a little more then if you can't find someone in this castle," she said as she scratched the back of her head. "I...didn't know he was missing soooo...no I haven't seen him, but I'm sure we can find someone else if you want? You playing hide and seek with all the staff in the school?"

She then jumped slightly as Miles walked up behind her. "Don't...scare...me...like...that. I swear we don't need another dead student around here." She reached for his arm and then looked to the strange man. "He's...searching for the Headmaster. He seems to be missing and we are good at hide and go seek. I bet we could help him."

She then saw a couple of other students walk up, Huffies no doubt. "Wow! No wonder Hufflepuffs are dying left and right! We are nosy people." She couldn't help but giggle a couple of times and then stopped. It was true.

That meant he was drawing attention. Stupid.

"Uh...non, it was just him and I. And yes...I have checked his office. Silly question," he sighed rubbing his head. Ahhh, too many students! Abort! Abort! "Got to go! Merci for your time!" With that, he took off out of the library. Hmm, he had to find some staff members...where were those ones that were in his office earlier?...

Miles looked at Fia and then at the odd man in front of them and then....whoa...where did they all come from? They weren't there a minute ago. Turning around he looked at all the Huffies and shook his head. Hearing Fia's words he laughed, "You got that right." And then the strange man left.... "An odd fellow...." Shaking his head he moved toward a table and set his stuff down. "You know...at first I was wondering why Huffie's were being killed but...nope that's about right...didn't your dad tell you not to talk to strangers Fi? Especially alone...in a library..." Raising an eyebrow he smirked and glanced toward the two other Huffies with another shake of his head. "And none of you even bothered to have your wand ready just in case..." Well that's why he was a Ravenclaw wasn't it....

Fia tilted her head to the side. "Rude man," she spoke to Miles and then turned her head towards him. "How can you just loose a person and a werewolf at that?" She paused in her thoughts out loud. "MILES!" She began pushing him away from all the other students so it was just the two of them in peace.

"He's...missing?" Her voice was low so that only he could hear. "And you are being a smart aleck. Meanie." She began to grin widely as that was one of the many reasons she loved being around him. Her fingers began picking at his sides in a playful way.

If Jake ever met the guy that had killed the huffies, he would... like, be real mad.

You just couldn't go anywhere without being accused of being nosy, or whatever. This was, like, the first time he'd ventured out of his hiding place in weeks except for class, and... grrrrr.

Hang on... wait...

Bontecou... there was something about Bontecou. Jake recalled that day he and Anna had turned up in the man's office without remembering going there... that day he blacked out in there and was missing something afterwards... the day he'd been talking to Kaz and Bontecou in the office and Anna had showed up. The fact that Jake KNEW the password.

Crap.

Saying nothing more, but with his eyes going wide, Jake immediately sprinted from where he stood. He needed to a). talk to LouAnn b). think and c). hide again.

And then he was gone.
