| | Library Bookshelves
Tall bookshelves are scattered throughout the library, the smooth wood gleaming brightly in the sun that shines in through the stained glass windows. Tens of thousands of books rest upon the shelves, all waiting to be explored by eager minds. They stretch along the walls, filling each shelf and dark corner. A catalogue system has been put in place to ensure that finding and retrieving a book becomes a simple task, for the sheer amount of books can be overwhelming, particularly to the youngest of students.
At the end of the first few bookshelves in the front of the library sits a pedestal. An open book with a soft golden light emitting from it, has been placed upon the pedestal. As you approach the book, you hear a rustling and then a gentle pop. “Come closer, come closer. Don’t be afraid.” A jolly voice speaks.
When you finally do peek into the pages of a book, an elderly gentleman peers out at you, one hand rising to adjust his spectacles. “Now. What book is it that you seek? I can give you a general location or a more specific one if you know the exact title of the book.”
Once you speak your request, the man ponders for a few moments before scribbling on a piece of parchment. Squinting at what he has written, he looks back up and smiles, before speaking the location of the book. “Happy reading!” He exclaims before settling back down into a still, flat image. OOC: Please note that the jolly man is for entertainment purposes only. I will not be RPing him each time a student approaches asking for a book. |

| ♥ Mrs. Itachi Uchiha™ & MAJNOO! : Bleach & Kyo & Natsume ♥ [ Maxh!Jesh ] Fyo nodded. "You know, this has a lot more of an effect on Nova," he said, a little thoughtfully. "But then, she pretty much believes it's some sort of miracle, the cure-the-BAD-cold medicine, so maybe that's why."
His litter sister... surprised him, sometimes.
He stifled a yawn, then looked at Torin. "Want to get a bite to eat?" he asked. His stomach was rumbling rather loudly, now. |

He got up when Fyo mentioned food. "Well, I guess I could eat some more soup." He rolled his eyes. |

| ♥ Mrs. Itachi Uchiha™ & MAJNOO! : Bleach & Kyo & Natsume ♥ [ Maxh!Jesh ] "Maybe," Fyo agreed, as he stood up. When Torin mentioned Quidditch, he gave his friend a quick smile. "I found out about that," he said, with a nod. "Don't worry, you'll be alright - but I was waiting for you to tell me you've made it on the team, you know. Congratulations!"
Mmm, soup sounded like a good idea. He would have some, Fyo decided, as he left the bookshelves behind, and exited the library.
Have some chocolate, too. |

Have some chocolate, too. He felt a bit bad for not having told Fyo about that already. "Thanks. I'm sorry about that. I told you that other stuff instead. " He blushed slightly. But Fyo was special in that way; he was the only person that he had actually told.
He started heading towards the door. "Well, come on." hehe. |

She wasn't one to give up, or at least it took a lot to get her to. And he was nowhere near that point. "In all honesty," she said after he'd spoken, intentionally mirroring his words, "I can't help it if I find your precious dress code just the tiniest bit boring and unoriginal." Even if it was technically Hogwarts', not Dominic's. He was still the only one to protest her shoes. She laughed at his consternation over her argument, though. "Apparently not. Or at least, not in the same way as to you. You must be special," she said, a hint of sarcasm in her voice. People did notice her shoes, but usually it was to compliment them, or admire them. Not whine about how they weren't boring black mary janes. And then she hit a nerve. or at least it looked that way. "I never said you were," she pointed out, her figned innocent tone marred by the urge to laugh again. "And if we all thought about breathing, we'd be dead. Because that would infer we thought about not breathing. But we aren't talking about involuntary and necessary actions for living. We're talking about actions related to personality. And that is almost inextricably connected to psychology." So there. She would have stuck her tongue out or something to emphasize the point, but she had the feeling he would see that as juvenile and grounds for her to be considered insubordinate or something. Even though in esence, as far as she was concerned when it came to Mr. Head Boy, she was insubordinate. She just didn't want him to acknowledge it.
She rolled her eyes as he continued to only vaguely answer her suspicions. "Just browsing in this particular section of the library," she pointed out, knowing he wasn't about to elaborate but unable to stop poking at him. It was just too fun. "Ah, but if study sessions are involved, there would be other people with you. You wouldn't be standing here in the stacks annoying me about shoes." He was evading. No way she couldn't latch onto that to annoy him further. But then he actually listened to her own response as to why she was there, and she raised an eyebrow as he apologized. "Dominic Denton is apologizing? Just because I said I was bored? Okay, I know it isn't April Fool's Day, so something else must be going on. And here I am without a camera," she mused, not even caring what reason he had for the apology. It was just so . . . not Mr. High-and-Mighty Head Boy, and it kind of piqued her interest, in some sort of anthropological way. Like he was something to study, as if she wanted to think that much about what made him tick. Only to the extent of needling him. If this girl didn't give him an aneurism, then Dominic was fairly certain he could survive anything. How dare her!! Mirroring his words, using his 'in all honesty'. Of course he didn't own the phrase, but it was just the fact that he just used it and it seemed to the seventh year like she was mocking him. His dress code? What!? It wasn't HIS - it was HOGWARTS' and he was just ENFORCING it. Why couldn't she see that? "First of all, it's not my dress code and secondly, I don't make the rules. I just enforce them. So really, don't be blaming me that you find them boring; you're here to learn, not impress." Although she was certainly making an impression on him right now, REGARDLESS of her attire. "Besides, with the right words, I've always found that appearance is just a secondary feature to impressions." He mused, but knew it was true; especially considering his adoration for poetry. Just special? Something about her commentary made him just stare at her in bewilderment. Really, what was she playing at? Ugh; why did he have to get into an argument with a Ravenclaw? True he was smart, but he should have known from Cel-an-dine, foremost, that arguing with Ravenclaws was never productive. "It still doesn't prove that physical actions are connected to psychology. Because true involuntary actions are necessary living, but I'm sure there are some voluntary actions that aren't. I'll just ... have to get back to you on details of what they are." Because he couldn't recall about those actions off the top of his head.
Noticing the eye rolling, he just shook his head. Really, he had NO reason to be answering to her questions. What was different about this section of the library versus other sections anyway? One glance at the bookshelves made him realize it though. "Yes, is there something wrong with this section of the library? Maybe I ... need a book," Dom paused, selecting one off the shelves. "On Practical Charms for Every Day Living." He nodded, showing her the title. "AH but see, if I am the one organizing the study session, then I need to know the place to inform others of the place and time. Before bringing others. And no, I am not apologizing for you being bored, but rather because you find company and consolation in BOOKS! And please it's a good thing you don't ..." Quote:

It'll just boost their egos which didn't need any more boosting. Sighing, Livvy held onto her camera, ready to take a picture at any moment.
As the Ravenclaw girl made her way to the bookshelves, she heard a few... familiar... voices. Livvy was unable to recognize them, so she tiptoed closer to the bookshelf and peeked around the corner. And there she spotted Adrienne and Dominic chattering away. Except it wasn't really like chit chat, more like... jabbing-in-the-forehead and push-you-off-a-cliff type of talk.
Now, Livvy knew that eavesdropping wasn't good but from what she could tell, the pair were both aggravated by the company they had.
And oh merlin!
Did Dominic just apologize? WORTH telling. And unfortunately for Dominic, Livvy had a camera.
Livvy took a quick snap of the picture, making sure you could see Adrienne's raised eyebrow and Dominic's... whatever... confused face. The guy looked confused. Except, he always looked confused. That was what he always looked like. Confused. Hm. Mr. Confusion.
But wait. Was the flash on? Could they see it? Or where they too engrossed in their conversation to notice a beam of light flash into their face and a noise similar to a click? "... have a camera." He finished the statement to Adrienne in a quieter tone, as he heard the definitive click of a camera and a flash from the corner of his eye. "I think. Someone just stole a picture of us." And if this ended up being in Aparecium .... That someone was going to pay.
Glancing around for the source of the photographer, he looked back at Adrienne again, bewilderment struck his expression.

And if this ended up being in Aparecium .... That someone was going to pay.
Glancing around for the source of the photographer, he looked back at Adrienne again, bewilderment struck his expression. A wry smirk crept onto Adrienne's face as she could tell two-fold that her words had hit a nerve in the head boy. Which, she was having fun thinking of Dominic as anything but his name. It made things more interesting, since she had to come up with ideas for what she could call him. And it wasn't keeping her from needling him either, since she was anything if not almost an expert at getting under the skin of people who seemed to like trying to annoy her. She'd had practice with Riley almost her whole life in that skill. "If you don't make the rules, you shouldn't get so offended when people seem to have the tiniest disagreement with them," she pointed out matter-of-factly as he spoke, resisting the urge to roll her eyes again. Especially when it seemed he thought she wore what she did to impress people. "Contrary to your opinion, expressing individuality is not one and the same as trying to impress people. I wear what I wear for myself. As I pointed out, most people don't even seem to pay attention to me, unless it's because of what I have on my feet. So if it happens to make an impression, that's completely accidental but at least I'm not blending into the woodwork." Or stonework, as the case happened to be. She didn't like being ignored. And now it seemed she was giving a psychological lesson again, but then, he'd started it. Just because he happened to have tried to start it with her didn't make it her fault. Only his.
And then he was staring at her in bewilderment, and she burst out laughing. "What, am I confusing you?," she said facetiously, before he decided to try and argue with her again about psychology. And whether physical actions were inextricably intertwined with the subject. Her grin came back as he trailed off, though, feeling like she'd almost won the argument without a word. Not that that would keep her from saying anything. "You get back to me on that one." He wasn't going to come up with anything, and she knew it. He was just stalling because he didn't want to admit she was right.
As he tried to attack her statement about the section of shelves, she continued to feel like he was evading because he didn't want to admit she was winning. "I never said there was anything wrong with this section of the shelves. Obviosuly I wouldn't have ended up here if there was." And, she'd been there first. He'd come up to her in here, not the other way around. She sent him an amused look, however, as he pulled a random book to pretend that was what he needed. "I'm surprised. Doesn't really seem like your subject," she drawled, imagining him needing to use any of the charms in that book. Since of course she'd read it. When she was ten, during one of her episodes of free time in France. All the spells in there had seemed easy to her. "I would imagine a study group would be better in, oh, a location that's not quite so cramped. Like, say, the actual 'study area' in the library?," she pointed out then, poking another hole in his excuse. And then he was trying to backtrack, explain his apology away, and she raised an eyebrow again. "Of course I find entertainment in books," she said. She was a Ravenclaw, after all. Knowledge is power, blah blah . . . "I actually do occupy myself with other things too, when they're available to me." Like annoying people who try to annoy her. Or get into mischief with Chloe, when the Hufflepuff girl was actually around. Which was really her reason for ending up in here, since her best friend was who knew where.
She tilted her head slightly to one side as Dominic continued to speak, narrowing her eyes slightly as his voice lowered to a quieter tone before she realized she'd heard something as well. A click from nearby, and she glanced around before she heard him speak again. "Please. Why would anyone feel the need to take a picture of us?," she asked disbelievingly, especially since she was fairly certain a photograph couldn't convey their entire argument. It just made no sense. There would be no reason for anyone to take a picture of the two of them, although her interest was piqued if someone actually had. And then she glanced back at Dominc to find the bewildered expression had appeared on his face again. "You do know that makes you look incredibly unintelligent, right?," she asked, finding it hard to really have fun arguing with someone who looked like they wouldn't understand a word she said.

Books. Smelled. Bad.
Wandering through the sections that meant totally nothing to him, Ashton began to wonder that his infatuation with Professor Morgan had brought him nothing but work. Serious. Every time he went to talk to her, she just suggested that he picked up another book. Wandering down so that he reached the Care of Magical Creatures section, he sighed. Things weren't going to well for him in the world of girls. Especially after... THAT situation. He hadn't seen his Flirt-buddy in ages, so he could of sworn that he was getting out of practice.
Glancing up at one of the books that were halfway pulled out, he sighed again. Libraries really weren't his thing. After all, coming all the way from a huge city such as New York, cars were more his thing. Yes, he did fit the English stereotype of a New Yorker very well, but he didn't care overly. Pulling the book out, he flicked through it without really taking any of the words in, glared at it, and put it back again...
Wrong book.

Wrong book. Lucille wondered among the rows of heavy books, breathing deepyly. She loved everything about this place, the smell, the musty pages, the dusty collumns. The pages and pages of undeciphored knowlage laying hidden behind the shelves.
This was where Lucille's serious side came out. Ok, so she could cause trouble and be irrashional and people often disliked these traits. She was strong and silly, but as soon as she hit the library, this changed.
She turned corners, looking through the rows of books and sighed. Warren was certaintly getting a lot of attention lately.
She didn't like that. She didn't like that at all.
Not that she was the jelous type. She jsut didn't like it.
She turned a corner and browsed some more. She walked along the row, trailing a finger over the huge volumes, creating a clean strip across the dusty spines. She looked up, and saw someone. He looked .... like he wasn't having fun. In fact he was...he was...WAS HE GLARING AT A BOOK!? "What did the book do to you?" asked Lucille, the words coming out more rudely than she'd intended.

Must have some sort of magnetism or something that attracts them all... Oh, shut up, Ashton. "I don't suppose you can help me find, Creatures of Lore anywhere near by can you?" He asked a politely as he could, flashing a little smile toward the blonde person. If she said no, he'd have to really turn on the charm.. If she said yes... He'd still turn it on...

Taking the book from her hands, he turned his grimace into a smile, and flicked through the first few pages. Satisfied that it was the right one, he nodded toward her in thanks, and was about to turn around and leave when he saw something that gave his ego more than just a little boost.
She blushed. Teehee.
Placing the book down on the side, and leaning one shoulder up against the book shelves, Ashton put out a hand for her to take, and in his (gorgeous) soft New York accent, simply said, "I'm Ashton, I would thank you, but I feel as if it's wrong to without knowing your name.." His grin turned darkly pleasing, and his eyes went "hot".

But then he stopped. Lucille stared down at his hand and took it, looking up again at his face. She tried to look away but she couldn't.
OH DEAR GOD her eyes were stuck!
She noticed his accent as he spoke. It was...American? WOW. Different from boring old english that she was used to. "Im Lucille," she said, unable to keep from blushing more. AGHHGHH! "But it's fine, dont worry about it." Think of Warren Think of Warren THINK OF WARREN!!

She was soooo cute. In a way, she reminded him of his Shana, but it was probably just the height thing that did that for him. He was a simple being really. But luls. He had her. "Lucille. That's a really pretty name." Ashton said, almost to himself, letting the faraway look get into his eyes. He was almost going to add the "but not as pretty as you" line, but he KNEW how cringeworthy that line was.
Glancing down at his hand, there was another reason to grin. She still had hold of it. "Can I have my hand back, please?" He purred. Oooo. He was awful really. But it was too fun not to.
And she WAS going to be very pretty next year...
Very.

Very. Wow.
He had said her name was pretty. Eeeeep! Lucille thought back...she couldn't remember Warren EVER saying that her name was pretty. WHY had she not seen him before? WHY! And was it so bad that Lucille was getting annoyed at herself that she hadn't?
Yes. Yes it was.
She muttered a brief thanks, but froze at what he said next. She dhadn't realised that she still had his hand. She didn't want to give it back, it was all soft and strong... STOPITLUCILLE! A warning voice shouted in the back of her head.
She let go of his hand slowly, and looked up into his face again. HOW did he do that with his eyes? HOW?
"OOoops," she said, blushing again. " Sorry. Didn't realise. Daydreaming i suspect.." WHAT ARE YOU TALKING ABOUT! BE COOL LUCILLE. "Soooo," she said, casting around for a new subject before he would realise that a) she was blushing again and b) she was a HUGE idiot. "What do you need the book for anyway?"
DUH! Said the voice. COMC, YOU IDIOT! LOOK AT THE TITLE!
She blushed again. (Noooo!) and rethought. "I mean, are you failing, or what?"

Miranda had wandered up to the library, wanting to get something DADA-ish to read. It was her favorite subject, and if she didn't get a job as a Chaser (fat chance) she would like to be an Auror. Which was why she'd come here to get some more information on that career. Hmmm...Maybe I should ask Mdm. Kohan...
Humming a tune about the frog who ate a shoe, she started looking at the many books on the shelves. Her head slanted to the side for better viewing of the titles and running a hand on their spines.

| SnitchStealer <3 Chocolate Rain=Mmm! Library.. such a scary.. chilling place.
And why was it a scary place ? Because it was extremely quiet, and it had enormous majorly high bookshelves filled with old dusty books .. among some other reasons that Eleanor couldn’t think of at the moment.
She couldn’t even remember how she had got there, let alone why was she in there, since she disliked that place so much and all. It was truly a mystery. Perhaps Merlin was trying to tell her somethi- Oh right.. Arithmancy homework and Transfiguration easy due Monday.. right.. focus Bluebell..
The brunette entered the Library in a somewhat reluctant way, as she remembered Evangeline’s voice inside her head telling her how some books jumped of the selves and ate students’ hair. But that was just ridiculous, the older girl had been simply mocking her big time .. or was she ? Humn.. in any case, it was better not take any chances, so the seventeen year old decided to take a seat on one of those tables near a window, moderately away from the bookshelves.
Eleanor shrugged her bag off from her shoulders and placed it on the dark wood without taking a seat. silence
Humnm, that was actually sort of nice.. all the silence and quietness. Weird. But she was there to do homework, in a sort of forced way really.. since she had been epically failing at doing homework.
Now.. the trasfiguration easy was about what again ? The slytherin started flipping trough the pages of her doodled note book.. piertotum locomotor.
Now.. where were the transfiguration books. ? It shouldn’t be very hard to find them , after all she was in a library.. right? Wrong, oh so wrong.

Now.. where were the transfiguration books. ? It shouldn’t be very hard to find them , after all she was in a library.. right? Wrong, oh so wrong. Flick. Flick. Leaning against the bookshelves housing books of some sort, Terry turned another page of the ginormous tome in his book lazily. Another five minutes, and his arms were going to snap straight off. He was SURE of it.
But the homework had to be done! Eyebrows knitting together in annoyance, he turned his back on the bookshelves to rove the peeps studying at the tables instead. WHOA, everyone seemed really into their work, quills racing across their parchments in a blur. Way to make him look like a slacker.
Except perhaps one brunette, who was looking rather lost. Aww. That made two then. She would help him with his homework! It was decided.
Trotting over and then peering over her shoulder to see what her attention might be on, when it should have been on him really, Terry whispered a quiet 'BOO.' Followed by, 'Before I rave about your simply fantastic stickmen doodles, would you mind giving me a hand with a bothersome assignment, purdy please?' Cue beseechingly wide blue eyes. |

Tori strolled into the library with the intention of finding a couple books to read on dark creatures. As she turned into the fifth row, she began looking up at the tall shelves as the towered over her. Her searching eyes scanned the spines of the books as she read the titles. She went along until she decided to stop and pick through the area at the end of the row. She ran her fingers along the shelf that she could reach and began to really look for the first book that would grab her attention.
She was there for at least fives minutes before she sighed impatiently at the books. Turning to the parallel set of shelves behind her she began the same routine.

So, all she had to do was to find a book.. do a little research *cough*readandcopy*cough* and the transfiguration easy was done… but then she had the Arithmancy homework.. which was made of pure headache. Ahem, but one thing at the time.
Holding the small notebook on her hands, Eleanor started walking through the enormous bookshelves – they were so big they almost made her feel claustrophobic. How was she supposed to find something in there ? That was like a wooden labyrinth! She finally sound the transfiguration books area, and that was when she felt someone, or something, approaching her behind her back. Oh Merlin, it was the books from the other shelve.. Evangeline was right.. they were going to devour her hair.. all her hair.. and it was getting closer..and..and.. BOO.
The brunette’s hazel eyes widen. “HOLY SACRED HIPPOGRYS!” The Slytherin girl shouted, as she quickly turned around ready to smack the old dusty evil book with her small doodled notebook when she was forced to hold her horses because..well.. books didn’t have blue eyes. Book didn’t have eyes let alone blue ones.
And it hit her how loud she had shouted. Oh boy.. oh boy oh boy oh boy. She hopped Madame Kohan was not around otherwise she was going to hear it good. But that wasn’t even the main matter; the main matter was who the heck was that boy and why in the name of Merlin had the scared the crap out of her ? “ Do I look like a person that could slash would help you with a bothersome assignment ?” Eleanor asked, not bothering to sound very nice. " Do I even know you ?" Her heart was still racing a way too fast for her to be bother being nice.
Sure she had no idea of who he was but the brunette hit his right arm with her notebook in any case, before turning around in the direction of the old bookshelf. How immature to go around scaring people that way… scaring HER that way – because she was pretty much what mattered- … As if she was extremely mature..

Trying to cover his face, Warren walked into the library and hid himself by a bookcase. He picked up a book 'How to be a star' And hid his face inside it. He didn't want people to see what had happened to him.. he was more ashamed of what he did. How could he tell Lucille? or even Shana for that matter..

His cover was blown, he was glad to see Shana even though he was bruised and battered. The book covering his face dropped. '' Im sorry i.. had to defend myself.. though i think i took it too far'' He was angry at what had happened, yet worried in some extent as Shana had told him not to attack dementors.. especially not those who are leaders of the clan.

Shana didn't shout, No of corse not because she didnt want to,But because she couldn't bring herself to. She looked up not at all his bruises and cuts but into his eyes and gave him a "You know what, Im not angry, Im dissapointed." Look and shook her head."..." she sighed not being able to bring herself to say anything.
