When she said that she had never been afraid of anyone, Lorcan didn't believe her. She was clearly afraid of her grandmother. He kept this thought to himself though as he didn't want to upset her. I'm not going to get kicked out. I'm not that daft he said with a small smile.

"I'm glad that you talked to Marie, you should talk to whoever you fell comfortable with." So it was our tree, was it? He smiled widely at that thought. "I do like that old tree." he said simply. "Did you have a good time in Hogsmeade?" He hoped that she had, she deserved to.

"Sunday Girl, I'm not going to let you go play Qudditch without something to eat, you might fall..." he broke of and took a gulp of pumpkin juice. "Chicken pie you say?" he stood up and got her a clean plate, cutting her a not-too-big piece of pie and added some vegetables. "There you go." he set the plate in front of her and looked at her expectantly.

Kay smiled at the fact that he like the tree. She thought of it as their's. It was a nice place to talk. "I won't fall off. Never have." Kay said smiling at him. She had never falling off her broom, even when she was sick and her mother had yelled at her. Kay smiled even more at the thought of her mum.

"Thanks for understanding about Marie. She was there and I really needed to talk. Marie is well, I don't know. We are friends in class but outside of class, I am not sure." Kay said. She was feeling better and was happy not to be upset anymore.

Kay saw him jump up and get her some food. He really wasn't going to take no for an answer. Kay laughed a little as Lorcan put the food in front of her. "You really want me to eat don't you." Kay said still laughing . "OK, I'll eat, but don't count on alot. Well, not today anyway." Kay said looking at the food, and well. "Oh, I do love chicken pie, so let eat." she smiled and put a bite in her mouth.

Lorcan grimaced. Just because you've never fallen, it doesn't mean that you never will.

He looked back at her and was relieved to see her smile. "Well, you should give Marie a chance, she seems nice enough. I think it's good to have friends from other houses." In his mind he saw Lexi, covered in snow and laughing as she skipped away from him. He smiled broadly, glad that Kay could not read his mind.

"Of course I want you to eat. My star quidditch player has to be on top form." He watched as she ate some of the chicken pie, she seemed to be enjoying it. He turned back to his own half eaten meal and started to eat. When he had finished he noticed that here was a plate with a large curd tart on it. It reminded him powerfully of home and he took a large slice, and tucked in.

"I like Marie, she just seems like she's better then me, sometimes." Kay said taking another bite. "Speaking of Quidditch our first game will be against Slytherin. Kita and I told Sara, Abigail, and Kylie to come watch a practice. Would you like to come too?" Kay asked hoping he would like to watch. "Hey, this is pretty good stuff." Kay said smiling at him. Maybe we could take a walk down to our tree?"

Lorcan frowned. "How do you mean she's better than you? Is she a bit of a show off?" He hadn't noticed that about Marie.

"Yeah, I'll come and watch your practice. I've not seen a game of Quidditch. I've never flown." and I don't want to. He added silently.

"I told you so." he said as he tucked into his curd tart.

"Oh, I don't know if marie's that why, It just seems she wanted to up me in DADA class. It was getting a little hairy there for a while." Kay said. She was still smiling and took another bite. She looked at Lorcan tart. 'I wonder if I could eat a peach one and not get sick' Kay thought to herself. "That looks good to." Kay said to Lorcan.

"I would really like you to come. I think we have practice in the next few days." Kay smiled at him. "I can teach you to fly if you'd like?" Kay told Lorcan [B]"I used to fly with my parents all the time." [/B]'oh, maybe i shouldn't have said that' Kay thought. "I really need a new broom though. I don't like the school brooms, to old." Kay said feeling even better then she did.

"So, about class. When ever you want to study we can in the common room or the Library." Kay smiled. She was truely feel happy for the first time in days.

"Oh, well, maybe she was just being competative and she got carried away." He didn't know Marie very well, so he couldn't really say.

"Oh,"He said, feeling awkward, "Alexandra and I are going to learn together, with the flying instructor." He blushed and looked at his plate. "It's nice that you and your parents flew together. That must be a nice memory for you. Can first years have brooms?" he tried not to sound sad. He didn't want to tell Kay anything else that would make her feel sad right now, not when she looked a bit better.

"Oh well, the library. I find the common room a bit noisy for homework. I can't concentrate in there."

"That's a good idea. The learning Instructors are the best way to go. I hope that you and Alexadnra do well." Kay said not looking up. "You'll have to tell me when your done and we can go flying." She looked up at him and sighed. "It's ok, I'm not upset or anything. Have fun with it. I know you like her. I could tell in class." Kay said smiling a little. "I can have a broom because of the Quidditch team. But, I don't know what kind to get. I could just get my cousin's broom he has a really nice one." Kay took a drink of her juice. "I'm sorry about talking about my parents. I don't want to be sad again and I don't want you sad about your dad." She said taking his hand, Kay smiled and looked at him in his eyes. "I want you not to have to watch want you say around me. We're friends and know matter what or who you talk about it will NEVER go any where but between us. OK?" Kay turn to him and asked.. "Can I ask you with about class?" she said "You don't like Abigail do you?"

Lorcan stiffened at the thought of going flying without an adult around. What if I fall? She can't save me. he avoided her eye and took another gulp of juice.

He heard her comment about Lexi "Well, yeah I like her, she's fun." He thought about the snowball fight that they had in the pumpkin patch and he relaxed a little bit.

"You could ask your captain which broom to get. Or do you think that your grandmother won't allow you to buy one?" He gave her a little smile and said "I know that it's hard sometimes to even think about them but you need to think about all the fun that you had together. Don'\t worry about making me sad, I was only little and I thinking about him makes me happy. You'll get there." he dropped her hand to itch his cheek and she asked him about Abigail.

"Oh, her. No, I don't like her. When I went to buy my robes in the summer I saw her in Madam Malkins and she was terrible. She was so rude to the lady in there, demanding that she should be served first. When I said that she was being rude she had a go at me and then apologised to both of use but it was clear that she didn't mean it. She's a spoiled brat and she doesn't like it that I know that." He shrugged. "Ask her and see what she says, but I don't want anything to do with her."

"Yes, I could ask her. Our Quidditch captain is really nice. As to my grandmother, she can't stop me. My mum and dad left me loads of money. She can't touch it and I can do what I want with it." Kay said smiling.

Kay was taken a back when Lorcan talked about Abigail. She had never heard Lorcan talk about anyone that way. "I'm sorry she was rude to you. I have never seen or heard her be rude to anyone before. Maybe it was just a misunderstanding?" Kay said. "You don't have to be mad about it, and I'll ask her if you want." She told him not smiling any more. "Maybe I can get her to talk you and work it out with her."

"It's good that you have control of your money. If I were you I'd get a new broom. Treat yourself." He smiled at her.

"I'm not interested in talking to Abigail. I know what she is. I was surrounded by people like her when I was at the muggle school" His voice and face hardened. He was not going to have that awful girl in his life.

"Ok, ok. please don't be mad. I just thought that you would be understanding like you want me to be about you friend Alexandra. Just like you said. You don't have to be her friend but be ok with her." Kay said. "I won't choose between you, just like I would never ask you to choose between Alexandra and me. If I am your friend then I'm friends with you forever." Kay stated to Lorcan. "I don't have many of them thanks to my grandmother and I won't loss any of the ones I got. Your to important to me." Kay said getting a little sick again. 'why is very thing so hard, I just want a best friend' Kay thought. "I won't ever ask you to talk to her or even sit by her ever. I just want to know that you will be my friend even if she my her friend too?" Kay didn't know what else to say. He had asked her to be alright with alexandra but it didn't go the other way. Kay looked at her food and pushed the plate away. Why was this day, week the week from hell.

Lorcan was annoyed. "Me and Abigail is totally different to you and Lexi. You and Lexi had a misunderstanding, There was no misunderstanding with me and that spoilt little cow. YOu can be her friend, that's fine by me, just watch yourself." He threw down his fork and stood up. "I need some fresh air." he walked away from Kay, not looking back.

Kay sat to the table with her mouth open. Had Lorcan just tell her that he couldn't forgive. Was that everyone or just Abigail. 'what just happened?' Kay said to herself. She watched him walk away from her again. Kay couldn't get her voice to work and when she did..."LORCAN!!!!" Kay yelled as loud as she could. But he was gone. She would go to their tree and hoped he would come to her. Kay stand up from table, looked at the food and ran for the bathroom. She couldn't believe the person who said he would always be there just walked away from her. She was going to talk to Abigail. But the bathroom come first.

Kylie knew she'd totally just been dissed. She sat there without being acknowledged at all, and although it was rude of her friends.. she looked at Kay's face. There was hurt smeared all over it.

"Kay? Are you all right?" she asked.

Kay stop and turned. "Oh, I am sorry Kylie. I can't talk I am going to be sick" Kay said with her hand over her mouth. Kay turned and ran out of the great Hall.

Wesley wandered into the Great Hall, face flushed raw red from the freezing cold air. She had been looking for Charles- he had been missing for a couple months now, and Wesley was starting to get worried. What if he was dead?

Eager to be warm, the Hufflepuff looked for a place to seat. There where some older students she didn't know, and some others that looked about her age or a little older...although everyone always looked older than Wesley. At a glance, it appeared that there wasn't anyone familiar, but then, looking more closely, there- huddled in the middle, sat her very favorite person.

Smiling, her teeth still chattering, Wesley walked quietly over, taking a seat across from Sarah. The 12-year-old began to pile her plate with mashed potatoes, just happy to have someone to sit by, and sensing Sarah wasn't in a talkative mood.

Miles ran into the Great Hall and skidded to a stop with a glance at his watch and slightly out of breath. And here he thought he was running late. He didn't want to be late for tree decorating that just sounded like total awesomeness. Finding himself hopping up and down as he waited for Fia he decided to hop himself right on the table and popped a piece of chocolate in his mouth. Now she gets to be late...a smirk appeared on his lips.

Fia ran into the Great Hall and slidddddddd when she came to the table. "Miss me?" She couldn't help but giggle as she perched herself on the table next to Miles and held out her hand. "May I have a piece, please?"

Miles laughed and leaned back on the table as Fia ran into the Great Hall and slid practically on top of him to the table. "You're late," he said with a smirk. Okay so what if he'd gotten here like seconds before...semantics shemantics. Watching as she sat down next to her he looked at her hand and smirked again. "Hmmm...maybe...I'm not sure...might be all out you never know."

Fia frowned. "You didn't answer my question which means, you didn't miss me as much as I thought you would," she pouted as she began to reach towards his pockets anyway. "I know your mother. I know you. You realllly think I am that stupid?" She stopped and held out her hand again. "I think not." She wiggled her fingers impatiently and grinned.

Miles saw the frown and, "Well now that's not fair I missed you a lot." He watched her reach towards his pocket and laughed, "Well I could've ate it all...you know how much I like it..." he grinned and couldn't help but laugh at as she held out her hand and wiggled her fingers. "Hmm...if...I had some..hypothetically that is.... I'm not sure you deserve any..." He smirked and looked around to see no one paying attention to them. Good. Reaching into his pocket he pulled out the last square of chocolate that he'd known he had and sighed. "The last one..." For today anyway. Unwrapping it slowly from the opened wrapper he held it up to his lips teasingly.

Now her smile returned...somewhat as he did miss her but, the little chocolate incident was just...proving to be bad. She watched as he reached inside his pocket and pulled out what he said wast his last piece, but it had to be for this very moment and he had more upstairs. What could she do to earn that piece of candy? She could pout a bit more? NOPE! She could reach up and just snatch it away from him? NOPE!

"We COULD half it, you know," she smiled as her eyes moved from the piece of candy to his lips. She grinned knowing that it would be good if they went in halves, but would he actually do it? Probably not but she would get him back.

Kylie heaved a huge sigh. Way too much drama... she thought to herself. She angrily shoved a piece of bread into her face. Chewing she realized how hilarious she must look, as soon as she swallowed she burst into a hysterical fit.

Miles watched as her eyes followed his hand as he pulled out the chocolate. He was quit enjoying the attention. She seemed to be struggling on deciding what to do but he was just going to torture her a bit more. It was fun. Laughing he was about to pop the sweet treat into his mouth as it seemed she couldn't think of anything when she finally did speak.

His lips turning into a grin and a thoughtful look on his face he stopped and looked at her. "Halves..." Looking around once more he spotted a new Huffie down the way from them, far enough not to see. Grinning in a smirky sort of way he looked at her, "Alright...get your half..." he said cheekily as he placed the piece of chocolate in between his teeth and looked at her with laughter in his eyes. Would she do it....he'd say no...they were in public...but it was an interesting concept. After all it would mean she'd have to actually kind of kiss him instead of the other way around, something she hadn't done.
