Lorcan listened as the girl's got angrier and angrier with each other. Was this really all about hair? He blinked stupidly, trying to wprk out just what was going on. Kay stepped infront of him, as though she was going to defend him and he felt slightly insulted. Why would he need defending from Alexandra? He noticed that they were both gripping thier wands and talking about hexing each other. Did they even know how to cast hexes? He saw that Maire too had her wand drawn, this was getting silly. He was doing a marvellous goldfish impression, opening his mouth to speak only to be cut off over and over by both girls. When Alexandra made a dig about Kay having enough to worry about, he said "Oh come off it Alexa-" only to be cut off by her farewell.

He turned to Kay "Kay, listen I'm sure she's just -" But Kay had become hysterical.

Well, he was seriously insulted now. After everything she still doesn't trust me! he thought furiously. He watched as she talked herself into a frenzy, again becoming a goldfish impersonator, opening his mouth to speak, only to be completely ignored by Kay. When she burst into tears and ran out of the shop, he was at a complete loss as to what to do. He cast a helpless glance at Marie and then launched himself after her shouting "Kay, wait! Kaytone, please wait!"

Just as he was calling after Kay, he heard another boy, a boy he recognised as a fellow Hufflepuff first year, trying to get her attention too. Maybe he'll have more luck than me Lorcan thought, I'm clearly not good for her.

Kay looked up at Travelon as she got to the door. "Tavelon, I...Sorry." Kay ran out the door. 'Great three friends' Kay thought to herself. Why was she in born.


Kay heard Lorcan calling to her. But she couldn't make herself stop and she didn't want him to yell at her too. How could she have been so stupid. Kay turned just enough to call back to Lorcan. "I'm sorry, Please know that I'm sorry." Kay said to him and turned back and kept running. Kay ran all the way back to the Hogwarts gate when she stopped. She couldn't go back to the common room, could she go back at all?

Ha. She did it. You're amazing Alice. She appreciated herself inwardly but just grinned. "Good. So come on, we have to make a list of what we're going to buy" she giggled like a kid, choosing, "Mmm..Dark Chocolate Fudge, Walnut Fudge, then..." she looked up at the shelves, "Cherry-center Truffle, Dark Chocolate Truffle. I love dark chocolate" she smiled, hand still playing with coins, "Peppermint Humbugs, Fizzing Whizbees" she added impatiently, "Acid Pops and...Coconut Ice" Fyo loves Coconut Ice she giggled at that thought, "So how about you Peyton?" she looked back at her interestedly.

Trying to push that thought from her mind and will herself to be in a better mood, the 15 year old pulled the boy attached to her hand inside the store and glanced around at the crowded shop. Being inside reminded her of the last time she was here with her and Nancy cleaning out the store's stock of their favorite sweets, giving her an idea. Christmas was coming up, maybe she'd get Nancy a large bar of Maple Fudge.

Leading Nathaniel by the hand, she wove through the crowd and stopped in front of the case of fudge. "Excuse me," she said slightly irritably to the back of the bundled up girl in her way, her voice coming out somewhat muffled from the scarf around her face.

"I'm sorry I didn't realise I..." Blinking a couple of times, Sarah's mouth dropped open when she finally figured out who it was.Of course the fact Nathaniel was attached to her hand was a bit of a giveaway.WAIT! They were holding hands?!

"Mariel?!" she giggled, looking into the not so happy eyes of her friend, who with the scarf looked distinctly like Nanook of the North. "Nate? You two....are holding hands...." She said it as if they wouldn't have already noticed.Could it be true? Could he have FINALLY told her his feelings? They might not have got off to the best of starts, but he did like Mariel, and so did she.If this made them happy then it made her happy. "It's about damn time!" she blurted grabbing them both in a hug. "When did this happen?......And what is with the moody face? I can see it in your eyes," she said, waving her hand in front of her own eyes to signal it.

Lorcan saw Kay turn back to him say sorry, yet again. She started to run back towards school. What on earth is going on? he thought.

Am I that bad of a comforter? Tavelon thought to himself as she ran away at the mere sight of him. He wasn't sure if he should go after her or if she wanted to be left alone. There was really only one way to find out, so he set his things back and went to follow her. He turned to Lorcan "Do you know what's going on? Is she ok?" he asked. Lorcan probably knew her well, he'd probably be better off comforting her than him.

Lorcan looked around at the tall boy with the startling grey eyes. "To be honest mate, I've not got a clue. There was something about hair or something. Her and Alexandra were shouting at each other and I just..." He shrugged. "I don't think that she is ok. She's already been in tears twice today." He didn't mention that he had been responsible though. "I'm Lorcan" He stuck out his hand for the other boy to shake.

"I'm Tavelon" Tavelon responded, shaking Lorcan's hand. "Do you think we should go after her? I mean, well, you know her best." he said. Tavelon was happy to have a new friend, but still a little worried and uneasy about Kay.

"Umm, it might be best if I go on my own mate, she's a bit funny about who knows her secrets." Lorcan knew that Kay would probably be upset that he had even said that.

"I'll catch up with you later yeah, in the common room?" Lorcan knew that Kay was getting quite a head start on him. He gave Tavelon a wave and rushed out of the shop and up the high street.

"Ok, see ya" Tavelon said as he rushed out. He gathered his candy, paid for it and left, headed back to the common room.

Marie just stood there looking at the door as Kay went running out. 'What on earth just happened?' she thought to herself. She thought about running after Kay but decided not to when she heard Lorcan telling another boy that he was going to go after her. 'I'm sure she will be fine, he will find her and make sure she is ok, I will talk to her later' she thought. Marie decided to try and make the best of what was left of her time in Hogsmeade so she left the candy shop to walk around. Maybe she would be able to get some more pictures for Muggle Studies.

Mariel glanced back at Nathaniel in amusement and fought the urge to roll her eyes as she stifled a chuckle. Surely she couldn't have been pulling him that hard, she was just in a hurry to get out of the cold and take her mind off of her previous irritation. Tilting her head slightly to assess his appearance as he took off his hat, Mariel graced Nathaniel with a small smile though he wouldn't have been able to see it behind her scarf. He was sorta cute with his hair all messed up from his hat. She reached up and ran the gloved fingers from her free hand through his hair to ruffle it up some more just to even it out a bit, then turned back around to the girl in front of the fudge counter to see if she had moved out of her way yet.

As the other girl turned around, the 15 year old felt slightly embarassed as she realized that the girl was none other than her best friend. "Oh! Sarah!" she exclaimed at the very same moment the Hufflepuff girl seemed to recognize her as well. Relaxing a bit more as well as finally warming up, Mariel tugged down her scarf so that it was now draped around her neck instead of the lower part of her face.

"Uh... what?" she said distractedly as she looked down at her enclosed hand as Sarah mentioned it. She had kind of forgotten that part as well as she hadn't seen Sarah recently so she wouldn't have known about recent events. "Oh, right," she smiled back up at Sarah. "We're, um... together now." But Sarah already seemed to grasp that concept as Mariel was pulled into one of Sarah's famous bone-crushing hugs. Once that was over, Mariel stood back to try to resume her normal breathing and glanced back at Nathaniel. "Um, just last week, I guess... Huh?" Mariel turned back to Sarah at her observance. "Oh... other than the bone-chilling cold? Let's see... yeah, one of Nathaniel's friends hit me in the face with a snowball then some firstie managed to immortalize that moment on film," she said sarcastically. "Fun, right?"

Lyddia walked into Honeydukes with Blair at her side. Looking at the menu, Lyddia felt considerably better. She knew she had quite a bit of money with her that her dad had sent specifically because of the Hogsmeade trip. Lyddia's mouth threatened to water over all the things in the menu.

She turned to Carmela, 'You got any money on you?' If she didn't it really didn't matter. Lyddia could spare some change.

"Yes, I should I bit"
Carmela walked around the shop, she was on a budget, so she couldn't get much. Carmela picked her self up a packet of Bertie Bott's Every Flavour Beans. "Yum"

She looked around for Lyddia. When she spoted her, ran over. Hopefull she was had found what wanted.

Lyddia saw Carmela turn away and did the same so she could find things to get. She'd been craving candy for a while now and couldn't wait to eat it all.

Lyddia was filling up on her candies and had decided to grab all the odd things to see what they'd be like. And the thing is, she definatly had enough money. She turned to see Carmela coming towards her and the motion unbalanced her a bit. She struggled with the bags of candy for a bit, then got a hold of it.

Either way, 'Can you help me out?' Lyddia asked Carmela.

"Awww, Lyddia I don't know, Mean we should have come here earlier, we'de have more time.. I don't know, uhhh, Buy a Acid Pop.. Hahahah.. ha." Carmela have a slight giggle.

Lyddia raised an eyebrow.

'Yeah, good job, dimwit. I meant help me carry this. I'm getting it all.' Obviously, I mean come on. 'No way am I leaving any of this awesome candy behind.'

Lyddia thrust some candy into Carmela's arms and walked over to the counter to pay for the things she had in her own arms.

'Come on Carmela, I must pay for it all.' She called, motioning her over.

" You'd better we shairing this.. this is wow!" Carmela gasped. "I'm coming lt me just.. get hold of this... stuff-"

Carmela followed Lyddia likea puppy.

Lyddia laughed. 'Glad to know you're happy about it.'

When Blair had finally gotten it all over to her Lyddia took out her moneybag and paid for everything, including Blair's Bertie Bott's. She got all the candy in two bags and she gave one to Carmela to carry. Then she walked over to the door, expecting Carmela to follow behind.

"Well were to now?" Asked Carmela pushing the doors open for herself and Lyddia.

Great. The firing squad. Fun.. wait.. she was happy that Mariel and him were together? Odd. AND she knew he liked her? Awkward hug of doooooom. Weird. Was Sarah trying to steal his SOUL or his wallet or something. After she let go of the couple Nate straightened up and checked his back pocket. Wallet still there. Ok. Still weird. Mariel was ruffling up his hair.. he restrained himself for fixing it. He hated his hair being messed up. It seemed to him that Mariel liked it.. okay. He grinned at the girls. "Yea, I guess that's it." he said in reference to how long they'd been together.

He still felt bad that Torin had hit Mariel in the face with a snowball. "He's more of just someone I know, Mariel" he said squeezing her hand. And the picture. He wanted to get one of her. For his homework. He was totally going to ask first though. [B]"That kid did it for Muggle Studies homework...["/B] he informed her. "Speaking of which..can I get a picture of you later? Please? It's for homework" he told her. He knew that keyword would hook her. Mariel, the stickler for homework and goodness.

As Mariel finally revealed her face, and explained about her and Nathaniel, Sarah's smile grew wider. "You know it took alot of willpower from me not to say anything to you two," she beamed, loosening the top of her cloak abit as the room got more stuffy. "I seemed to be the only one that had noticed.Mind you that could be because I sorta knew the signs from going out with Ryder." Truely, as smart as Mariel was she did seem a little oblivious to all things boys...until now.Sarah had picked up on the signs a little while ago, and the present at the opening feast was the clincher.That was ages ago, though, so Nate had taken his time.

"Snowball? Camera?" Sarah shook her head to re-adjust her thoughts as Mariel told her why she looked so glum.What on earth had been going on?.....and it was snowing? Gee she'd been in that shop a looooong time. "Tell you what," she finally said, turning back slightly to face the stand behind them. "I'll buy you some fudge to cheer you up.Which flavour do you want? Nate, you too...." Smiling at him as he looked suspiciously at her, Sarah chuckled inwardly at the look on his face.Was it really so hard to believe that she could be nice to him? And did he just check for his wallet?!

She gathered up a couple of boxes of milk chocolate fudge for herself, and waited for a reply from the two of them, eavedropping slightly as Nate asked to take Mariel's picture.Photography for Muggle Studies? Damn she wished she hadn't missed that class!

Nikki walked into Honeydukes, the camera that Professor Dumont had given out to everyone in class, clutched safely in her hand. Looking around the place, Nikki smiled. So many great things to eat, she would so have to buy a box of sugar quills when she was done taking her photo. She began walking up and down the aisle, looking for an interesting picture. Finally as she rounded a corner, she spotted some first years, their sticky hands shoved down a jar of Chocoballs.

Smirking Nikki got her camera ready, careful not to be seen, and....SNAP! There, her first picture was done, and the first years hadn't even noticed. Walking back to the counter she bought a box of sugar quills and headed out of the shop. One photo down, another four to go.

Literally stumbling through the door, dark hair flying everywhich way, Lasca breathed a sigh of relief as she righted herself inside the door of Honeydukes. Closing her eyes, she took a deep breath to try and sooth her nerves. All the new first years were reeking havoc on both her nerves and her disposition. Although that wasn't completely to blame on them, the letters coming from home were a big contributor as well.

Five letters in two days, she had completely stopped reading them after the fifth. Rolling her eyes, the young Ravenclaw remembered opening each one on the off chance that one had been written by her father, but no such luck. Shaking her head, Lasca fished a hair tye out of her pocket and made an attempt to tame her wild mane.

After carefully weaving it into a tight braid, she secured it and then took yet another deep breath. This time taking in the sweet smells of the shop and the subtle lull of those present within the shop.

Thats exactly what she needed. Some sweets and a nice big glass of butterbeer would help her disposition greatly.
