As she headed over toward the display of chocolates, Adrienne skirted around the younger students, who were all occupied in their own conversations. it was actually kind of odd, being so much taller than them, but then, her heels added to her height quite a bit. It was interesting being this tall for once, actually. Picking out some dark chocolate truffles and Chocolate Frogs, she stood there a second as she contemplated whether or not she wanted to buy some fudge as well. The more chocolate the better, right?

But then she heard someone say hi to her, and turned to see Torin. Smiling, she raised an eyebrow at his expression. "Hey Torin. What's up?," she asked, watching the Hufflepuff in amusement, wondering what exactly was bugging him so much. And then she remembered there was actually a way she could find out, without having to wait for him to say something. Looking at him again, she let her ability out just the tiniest bit. And then, as she touched upon his thought, a shocked expression crossed her face. "Torin Kane! That's not nice!," she exclaimed. Her outfit wasn't that bad.

Okay, now she was freaking him out. He hadn't even said anything to her other than hi. So how did she know that he was insulting her?

Feigning innocence, he shrugged at her. "What are you talking about? I'm not mean."

He was a good actor. Hopefully she would buy this. But how did she know?!?! She wasn't a mind reader or anything.

LouAnn frowned a little and made a slight face when Jake grumbled about hating being here at Hogwarts. It made no sense to her how one man's silver can be another man's gold, but she guessed not everyone appreciated being at Hogwart's like she did. It took having it taken away from her at the last minute to truly be thankful for where she was today. "It can't be that bad, can it?" she asked, catching up with him. "I mean, that back there was, but...is it all that bad?"

She laughed when he said he needed sugar, mainly because she knew exactly what he meant. After what they'd just been through, LouAnn needed as much chocolate as she could handle. "What's your favorite candy, Jack? I'll buy you some..."

"Bad stuff happens alot," Jake shrugged, eyeing the sweets around the room. "You wait. I bet something happens this year, too."

Well... maybe. Jake shrugged once more, wringing his hands with each other as he glanced up at LouAnn. "We'll have to see."

They would indeed.

"Erm... I like the sugar quills," he said quietly, thankful to LouAnn for buying him something, as he hadn't brought money with him to Hogsmeade.

Adrienne narrowed her blue eyes at Torin as he played innocent, momentarily forgetting that most people here didn't actually know that she could read their thoughts if she wanted. Which wasn't that surprising since she still tried to convince herself she wasn't going to use it very much. "You're not usually mean . . . but talking about people's clothes like that is not nice," she said, getting slightly amused by his acting. He was good, but she could still see through it. Yep, that's what this was. She wasn't about to just outright admit she'd heard what he'd thought about her clothes.

Okay, now he was very confused. Talking? When had he been talking about anything? All he had had were private thoughts.

"I only said hi to you. Nothing else. So please tell me how you would know what I'm thinking."

Yes, he was suspicious now. She was acting weird. Like she knew stuff that she didn't. There was no way that she would know what he was thinking just by his expression. He could have been upset about Reese for all anyone knew.

So where did she get all this from?

Carter laughed. "That's disgusting." he said.

"Sure," said Bella taking a piece.
"Thank you carter," said Bella wile thinking on how generous Carter had been today to her.
"You know how they have bloodpops, and that they're for vampires. Can vampires be witches or wizards too?" Bella asked Choluna and Carter suspiciously.

"Oh wow," Bella thought to herself. She could hear one of the voices in the room thought's saying that they could read minds too.
"Mmmmmmm," bella wondered. Bella wished she could have walked up to the person and had said," I can read minds too!" but Bella thought that the other person might get mad at her for that.
"mmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm," she still wondered about that, and about vampires.

LouAnn got sort of still and grew quiet when Jake announced that bad things frequently happened. Boy, did LouAnn know that particular statement to be true! She didn't, of course, know how it related to Hogwart's and the happenings at the castle, but she did know how it related to a particular incident that happened at her former home when she was only a mere ten-year-old. Bad things did happen, and that's just all there was to it. "Yeah," she half-whispered. "I can't argue with you there..."

"Well I hope nothing bad happens to us at the castle. I've read that it's one of the safest places to be! Or, at least, it seemed to be for Harry Potter," LouAnn remarked. She thought about what Jake said as she made her way around the store, collecting a few Sugar Quills for him as she did so. "Sugar Quills, right..." Her mind, though, was a little distracted. She was thinking about all the bad things that could possibly happen throughout the course of one school year. LouAnn didn't know exactly what would happen, but one thing was sure---where LouAnn was, trouble usually followed. Not intentionally on her part, of course.

Alexis walked into the sweet shop and looked around. Wow, she thought, as she looked at the sweets longingly. Sje'd asked her mother to send her some extra money for the trips, and Dora had told her everything. Now, all she needed was someone to talk to, preferably someone who was planning on heading to the Three Broomsticks afterwards for some Butterbeer.

Immediately, Lucy skidded into the shop, without any warning or knowledge that this was, in fact, a candy shop that sold only candy and not what she desired. She stared, her eyes opened wide, at the wide array of sweets stocked neatly, almost perfectly into the clean and slash or dusty shelves. She surely could not tell if the shelves were dusty and if they were, well, WHHOOOOEEE!! They'd need dusting because dust in edible products was simply not her idea of keeping a place sanitary. Who knows how many germs could be hidden underneath the stuff shells of dust-bunnies? And as for the slightly disturbed organization, she knew that either the shopkeepers were lousy and lazy, and simply did care for the strict organization of their store, or it was the students who disregarded the fact that organization and neatness was one hundred percent necessary in order to maintain a shop and they were OBVIOUSLY not helping. Lucy believed in her latter theory, taking into account that the shopkeepers must have taken much effort to straighten the place so that it appeared absolutely perfect before opening.

Nodding her head, she moved on in her thoughts, and focused on finding her craved food: COOKIES. "Do they have cookies here? They must have cookies here! This is a place full of sweets! How could they not have cookies here? This is absurd! Bah! Gah! PAAAAH!" she muttered to herself like a crazy old lady. Of course, in her mind, she was talking like that, too, the idea of it amused her greatly. Smiling, she scanned the shelves, in search of cookies, and cookies only. Especially considering the fact that she no longer trusted the cookies at the school. Ever since her irritation, frustration, and few moments of hatred for Melita during her vomiting incident, she could not help but think that her cookies had been tampered with, therefore making them diseased or...something. Something BAD.

Carter shrugged. "No idea." he said breaking off another piece of his fudge. "I guess they could be. I mean nobody knows where the magical gene comes from, right?"

Adrienne sighed as she could tell Torin was just getting more confused by the second. And while there were some people she would have been more apt to continue to be frustrating to, she actually liked the younger Huffie boy, so she thought for a few seconds about if she wanted to confess. And then he spoke again, and she laughed. Okay. If he was going to actually ask nicely.

"Let's just say I can find out more than just what people want to actually say in words. Sometimes. If I want to." There, that was sort of telling him. She didn't want to just outright say it, not when she was in a sweets shop crowded with other Hogwarts students. If it got around school, people would constantly be nervous around her, and she didn't want that. But she also didn't want to lose her friends just because she hid this from them.

Taking LouAnn's silence to mean something completely more superficial, Jake bit his lip. "Are you sure you want to pay? I mean... I don't have to have..." As he stepped forwards, Jake's pockets made a kind of rattling sound. "Oh... I didn't think I brought money... Do... d'you want me to pay?" he asked, shoving a hand in his pocket and frowning as he felt seven oddly shaped coins.

Maybe it wasn't wizard money, after all. "Or... you know... I don't need anything..."

Michelle stepped inside Honeydukes in search of the finest magical sweets. She was addicted to candies and was sure that candies would be great over here. Let's see... do I want Toothflossing Stringmints? Cherry-center Trufles must be nice. Yeah I'll take Cherry-center Trufles and Peppermint Humbugs. That would be one galleon for 15 Trufles and 6 sickles for the peppermint things. She walked upto the counter and paid out the money.

Finally Nancy spotted the one shop she needed to visit first. Honeydukes. There it was. The most important thing in the world for her. Uhm...yes. Probably not really but at the moment it was. Or at least felt like it. Because Honeydukes meant candy. But not just any candy, Honeydukes meant MAAAPLE FUUUUDGEEE!! Nancy could hardly refrain from squealing at the thought as she dashed took a careful step into the candy shop. Now, where was it?! Where was her baby? Come on, come to mummy.

Why were there so many people?! People who were between her and her Maple Fudge. How dare they?! Glaring at some random students who had probably intentionally gotten into her way Nancy made her way around the shop, bumping into a great number of people in the process. Couldn't they just all leave?! She still hadn't found what she was graving for and it was driving her insane. The 15 year old repeatedly stood on her tiptoes in an attempt to look over everybody's heads in search for her Maple Fudge but with her 5'3'' it was no use.

Michelle looked around and saw an older girl enter the shop. She thought it would be a good time to raise a friendly conversation. !hi, I'm Chelle,' she said sweetly.

Would it be considered rude if she just shoved all those people out of the way?! Probably yes but did she care? Not really actually but still there was this tiny voice inside her head - which somehow sounded remotely like her mother - which told her that in fact it was a rude thing to do. It was moments like this that she seriously hated society with its norms and socalled manners. She needed Maple Fudge and she needed it now. Right NOW. And those people were in. the. way.

Her head jerking around as a sweet voice reached her ear from somewhere to her right, and Nancy found herself face to face with a little girl smiling up at her. The look she gave the girl could only be described as annoyed as she couldn't care less what the girl's name was as she still was between her and the Maple Fudge. Although..."Hey there, Chelle. Very nice to meet you. I'm Nancy." She ended up replying sweetly and only people who knew her well would notice the small sparkle in her eyes suggesting that there was more to this than just being nice to a little first year.

"So, Chelle." Nancy said while looking the girl up and down. She was pretty small so..."How are you today?" No need to tell the girl immediately what she was up to. Just some smalltalk as a starter...

Michelle waited for the girl to answer, and was beginning to think whether she had made a mistake. Perhaps the girl didn't want to chat right now. But then she was relieved when the girl replied. She first had an annoyed look on her face, but it was replaced by a much polite look.

`Hello Nancy. I just was roaming around here and there in Hogsmeade. You see, I love sweets so I decided to come here first!' Chelle said. Nancy was pretty tall as Chelle had to tilt her head to talk to her. Considering the fact that Chelle was very tall for a first year, Nancy was tall too.
`What are you here for?' Chelle asked.

The small sparkle in her blue eyes still apparent Nancy resumed to smile at Chelle and occasionally gave a nod at the girl's little story. Not that she cared. All that she currently cared about was her Maple Fudge. Which she needed now! But with certain things you just needed to be patient. Which was pretty hard at the moment giving the delicious scent going up her nostrils which surely somehow included the smell of Maple Fudge. She just couldn't get it. Because she was stuck here between about a million people, who were frequently poking her with stuff they had just bought, and with this overly friendly little girl. Great, just great.

"Mhm...well, who doesn't like candy?" Nancy replied rather absentmindedly, her thoughts only circling around Maple Fudge and how to best get to where ever it was. And her best option still was with the help of this Chelle girl. So, be nice. Be polite. Otherwise she won't help you. Upon taking another closer look she had to realize that the girl was not as little as she had wished her to be but it would probably be sufficient for her little plan. Who wouldn't let a poor little firstie pass to get to her favorite candy? Sniff.

At the girl's question Nancy actually wanted to drool and scream "MAAAAPLE FUUUUDGGGE!!!11!" into her face but somehow she managed to refrain from doing so as she mustn't behave like a complete moron. Not at the moment anyway. So clearing her throat she simply stated, "Maple Fudge. You?" Then biting her lip slightly she added with a small fake embarrassed laugh, "Which actually poses a little problem. See, all those meanies people won't let me through so I can get some Maple Fudge." Okay, probably not some but about a zillion tons. "Is there any way you could help me with this?"

Chelle was sure that Nancy was bored of this conversation, even though her eyes looked as if she was interested. And she pretty much got to know the reason of her absentmindedness. Nancy wanted maple fudge.

`Oh, I'm sorry I can't help you get it quicker. A while ago, even I was thinking if they'd let me pass and get my candy first. But you see, there are millions of other firsties too. Though if you want, you can have some of my Maple Fudge! I bought a lot of it, I don't think I'll be needing it all!' Chelle replied, holding out one packet of Maple Fudge.

Nancy's eyes widened in pure shock at Chelle's reply and if she had been 5 her lower lip would have started to tremble. But she was 15 now, so almost no tremble. What was she going to dooo now?! Eep! "But...but..." The way she stuttered at the moment probably made her look like a five-year old again but it was all so horrible. She had had her hopes up, she had been so sure that all was going to be okay again with the help of this girl. But now, all was lost. Sniff.

Her shoulders hunched slightly as she repeatedly muttered, "It's over...it's useless..." in a voice that was barely audible. She needed her Maple Fudge and she needed it now. Maybe this girl had lied to her. Maybe she wanted all the Maple Fudge for herself. Eying Chelle suspiciously Nancy took a small step back, which turned out to be a rather bad idea as she stepped on somebody's toe in the process. "Oops...sorry 'bout that." She mumbled, giving the somebody an apologizing look. Not that it mattered anyway. All was lost now.

...and in barely a second Nancy was back and even closer to the girl as she offered some of her Maple Fudge to her. Not that it was much but it would definitely help her cheer up a wee bit and may even suffice until she had reached the other piles of Maple Fudge in the shop. "Oh, thank you so much, Chelle." Beaming at the young girl she took one Maple Fudge...and another one...and another one...would this girl be keep up with her if she just grabbed the whole bunch and made a run for it?

Nancy looked really grateful for all the Maple fudge. Meybe she really was desperate. She was eating the Maple Fudge that Chelle offered her with so much enthusiasm that Chelle had to bit her lip to hide her laugh. She did not want nancy to think that Chelle was making fun of her; she really was being nice to her. Chelle couldn't help[ saying, `Nancy, I know that you love Maple Fudge. You can take the entire thing that I bought! I really don't mind, I am not that into Maple Fudge. I can't wait to try my Peppermint Humbugs, though!' Chelle's voice faded away.

Nancy didn't even notice how much Chelle had to concentrate to not laugh at her, she was too engrossed in the Maple Fudge in the girl's hands. If she just grabbed all of it, put it into her bag and dashed out of the shop? However, a quick glance around her made her have to realize that there were still too many people inside the shop who would be in her way if she made a run for the shop door. So, how to overcome this problem?

Her blue eyes flickered back and forth between the Maple Fudge in Chelle's hand and the door as she tried to figure out to a way to make this work. But then..."What?!!" Nancy couldn't believe her ears. "You are...you are giving me your stack of Maple Fudge?!" She would have cried if she were the emotional type - which she wasn't - so she simply settled with hugging the girl veeery tightly. "Thankyouthankyouthankyouthankyou..." Nancy squealed, beaming at Chelle while quickly more like snatching the amount of Maple Fudge out of her hands. "How can I ever thank you for this?!"

"Umm.. To the three broomsticks, I think. I want to taste butterbear!" Nataly answered and went to pay for the sweets. There were much of them so she had to pay a big amount of sickles and galleons, but she didn't. She had her own fault at Gringotts. Of course, if she'll date a muggleborn or a half-blood she'll get disowned and the money would return to her parents, but it would be for the best. At least they would show their true colours to the world and lose respect in the Wizarding Community. And she will earn money for herself. Nataly always wanted to be an auror.
Shaking off her thoughts, she walked to Eva and Sara with a large Honeyducks pocket.
"So, we're going to the Three Broomstics?" she asked them enthusiasticaly.
