The tunnel leading from the Whomping Willow to the Shrieking shack is damp and dark though occasional patches of light peek through from some unknown source. Once you get your footing you realize the path beneath the tree is surprisingly flat, or it would be if it weren’t strewn with debris of some sort. Wait a minute, is that a potions textbook? And that there, it’s a rollerskate. A muddy looking garden gnome with cracks through the ceramic peeks out from a wall of dirt. There are all sorts of things here if you look closely. Of course you’ll need some light if you want to explore the tunnel.
Mmm. And you DO want to. Really. The Willow is Whomping out there, quite annoyed at all the little students who are plundering its depths.
What is that slithering sound? Is there something breathing up there? The ceiling of the tunnel is low and covered in moss and if you look ahead, well there is nothing to see except more tunnel. It seems to go on forever....
But there! Thats the end of the tunnel. Go on into the shack.

All I can see is darkness, with a few lights here and there from everyone else. Who knows if some of those lights are the end of the tunnel or just holes in the wall..." Getting out of the tunnel was actually starting to sound really nice at the moment. But...she wanted to stay as well. Just something about the place really fascinated her. And it was dark. She loved the dark! Almost as much as fire!

Mina looked around quickly. One moment she was beside Cela and Virgi, then she was amongst more students. Apparently, it was a party in the tunnel now. The whole creepy feeling lifted, well some of it. The spiders and snakes still creeped her out a little but she wasn't terrified anymore.
With so many students in one area, the lighting was a bit better and more things were visible. The spiders from before were still following her, as was a snake now. Leaning down to pick up what looked like a part of a small candelabra, the snake from before slithered up around her wrist. Hissing softly it looked at her and tilted its head. Was this things checking her out? She froze on the spot and tried to remain calm. "Nice little snake, what are you doing wrapped around my wrist?" It hissed a little more and slithered up her arm more, it smiled as it moved. Wait, do snakes smile?!?! It continued up to her elbow and stopped. She blinked at it and waited. Was it poisionious? Would it bite her? She wasn't at all sure, but she didn't seem as scared as she thought she would be of it. Looking it in the eyes, she smiled. It didn't seem to want to harm her at all. It was just cold and wanted some warmth. Shrugging her shoulders, she gathered the courage to pet it. It hissed softly and squeezed and released around her arm. "You know what, maybe I'll keep you. You don't seem so bad." Looking up again, she continued walking. Virgi would find her again and maybe she would run into other students. There had to be a few more of them walking the tunnels, right? | |

Virgi was still sitting there at the wall. She felt slime and goo on her back. She liked it. She looked up at all the moving students above her. She was wondering if anyone would notice her. She didn't care if they did or not. When she was home all she had was her twin and he was a wiz geek and everything so he was always studying spells when we hadn't even gone to school yet. I did too but he was all studying with mum and dad. I just waited for Hogwarts to give me my book list and then studied them. He was a geek and she was like a smartie that liked to hang with boys. She just didn't show it. All the boys and girls passed her without looking down. She was getting bored. She just wanted someone to either trip over her and notice her or some first year boy to find her and she finally gets her first kiss or something. All Virgi really wanted to happen was for her to be free of boredom.

"Hey!" The fourth year did a little jump as he realized he was at the end of the tunnel. Say hel-LOOO to the Shrieking Shack, people!

"Bunbury." she repeated to herself, looking down at the ground and looking as if she was concentrating really hard. Well she was. Trying to keep this Professors name in her memory was tough work! But, of course she was distracted with images of the Professor making a high pitched girly scream, which made her start to laugh. She would really need a camera for that, so maybe next year?
Nodding and agreeing with Destiny, she went over and picked up the snake, letting it wrap around her arm a couple times and then just dangled itself. "Comfy much?" she asked it, turning back to Destiny. Wait a second... "What are you hiding behind your back?" But, as if Destiny already answered and it wasn't important, Evelyn shrugged her shoulders and started down the tunnel. They had to be close to the end by now right? 'Been walking for-ev-er!' | |

More spiders! Shumeeta flicked one out of her way only to see another. "Hey there, spider," she said brightly, deciding that the best way to 'overcome' these spiders would be to make friends with them. If you can't beat 'em, join 'em right?
"What's your name?" she asked the spider with a chuckle. She remembered what Fyo had named that ladybug!

Destiny shook her head. Nope, she would not mention the spider to Evelyn.
And they were off. Walking in the tunnel was much better than just standing in the tunnel. With walking, there was less of a chance of getting eaten by a snake. At least she could run now. Destiny stopped dead in her tracks. 'Light! I see the light!' Cupping her little spider in her hands, Destiny made a run really fast walk to the light. They made it!

The spider didn't respond to her of course. Shumeeta grinned at it then continued to walk. She saw Fyo whiz by, then a girl on roller-skates whom she was sure was called Celandine then ..... Light?
Shumeeta did a double take then peered closer. Looked like the tunnel had ended! Awww she had been enjoying herself! The sixth year straightened up and plunged into the Shrieking Shack. Goodbye tunnel!

Just a long, smelly, dark tunnel filled with insects and lost objects probably caught by the mad tree. He did not talk to anyone since everyone he passed by seemed so busy with themselves or busy with something else. He did not bother to mess with anyone, maybe they would have been much more scared if he did. So he only kept walking, stepping away from or kicking stuff lying around with the light of his wand. At first it felt like exciting and enjoyable getting into here but...there was nothing. *groan* Fastening his steps once he had seen the light on the other side, he smiled a little 'The Shrieking Shack'

Fred slowly walked trough the trap door with this Jake kid back through the tunnel. He had hated the trip through it the first time and it seemed going back was no exception hearing bats over head and could feel himself walk right into what he thought to be a cobweb cob weband took his wand out and said, "lumos maxima", concentrating on lighting the area around him and sure enough he was right. He wiped the cob web off his face and kept going on his trek to the hospital wing with Jake glad he could atleast see where he was going now.

Jake jogged through the tunnel, wanting to get as far away from that stupid PLANT. He was so engrossed by his fear of it, he forgot how Fred had had trouble breathing and probably wasn't set to run. The younger boy ended up sprinting past, his shortness a good help and the fact that the light was now behind him, showing the way.
As he reached the end of the tunnel, Jake remembered he was escorting Fred in case something happened... but he glanced back and everything seemed hunky dory. While he still had the adrenaline, Jake scrambled up out of the tunnel at the other end.

Fred suddenly saw Drake take off and he wondered if the boy even knew the meaning of the word escort. He slowly made his way through the rest of the tunnel using the walls as support at times and there were somes till he leaned into bat poop and from then on faught his way through the tunnel through sheer will power and when he finally saw the light at the end he smiled but upon seeing Jake, his so called escort he grimaced knowing he was probably gonna be on his own for the most part of this venture.
