Hearing Jake's response, Iliana gave him one final glare and then said, "Well I should hope not." She tried like heck to keep the smile off her face and failed miserably. She just couldn't stay mad at her Jake.
Looking down, Iliana quickly realized that little Neo!Niffler wanted his pretty bracelet back. "Here you go," she whispered, handing it over. Then she gave him a nice scratch behind his furry ears.
Professor Morgan watched closely as Annie started to work her magic with the phoenix. To her amazement, Aeolus lifted his wings affectionately as she stroked his feathers. At her compliment, he raised his crimson head proudly. It seemed he agreed with her.

"That was perfect, Professor," Iliana said as she watched the golden feather fall to the ground.

Anya gasped. That was amazing!

Abby grins at Professor Morgan. She really backed Professor Bunbury in a corner. Bunbury is going to look like a fool if the phoenix doesn't give her a feather. Abby walks closer to Aeolus hoping the bird will molt a feather for Professor Bunbury. "Professor Morgan, how can Aeolus give Professor Bunbury a feather? Do Phoenix pull out their feathers grooming themselves like cats do?"

Now that that part of the lesson was done, Bunbury dusted off her hands and resumed her spot a small distance away from the bird. Wouldn't want to... grow too close to the creature... or anything like that.

Nathaniel knew the answer to this question. Dare he answer it? "Professor, I do believe that his wand was ash and unicorn hair. Oh, and he was also in the Triwizard thing..right?". He hoped he was right..

An expression that could turn milk sour made itself known on Jake's face as he refused to look up at Professor Morgan. Oooooh, Bunz was going to get it baaaaad.

Neo!Niffler let out a squeak of happiness when Illiana gave him the shineh bracelet back. He laid back down, with the bracelet safely tucked under him a bit and going back to watching the show. But then, his holder gave him a nice scratch behind the ear. Oooooh.

Slowly, Neo!Niffler's eyes started to close and he laid his head down.

Aww, Neo!NIffler was sleeping Anya thought to herself. Once again, the urge for a Niffler came up.

Cedric Diggory's wand was made of ash! That's what it was! Intereting.

Evan was impressed with Professor Bunbury. She made the phoenix give a feather. He wondered if he would be able to do that one day. He hoped so.

This, he knew the answer of. He raised his hand. "He was a Hufflepuff, Triwizard Champion, a victim of..." He swallowed before continuing. "The Lord, and his wand's core was unicorn hair."

Anna kept staring at the pheonix. Then her fce brightened up. "Toris! Maybe you can ask kami-sama* for a feather. Why don't you go try." she whispered to the turtle on her head. The tiny turtle flew over to the pheonix. Anna didn't know how they could talk to eachother but Aeolus seemed to understand Toris' various nods, faces, and gestures. She wondered if he would be successful. Then she heard something about a Cedric Diggory. She went back to pay attention because she had no idea who that was.

Nikki raised her hand to answer Professor Bunburys question. "Cedric Diggory was a Hufflepuff who was part of the Triwizard Tournament in 1994." Nikki said, guessing the date off the top of her head. "I think his wand was ash with unicorn hair." She said, after thinking for a couple seconds.

When Professor Morgan spotted the strange flying turtle thing coming towards the Phoenix, she stepped between them and plucked it from the air. "Would someone care to tell me WHY they've brought their pet? to MY lesson?" Her face showed her anger clearly.

He blinked as suddenly there was a turtle thing flying around. What the heck?

He looked around the area, hoping that it wasn't a Hufflepuff student in trouble. Professor Morgan was mad!

Oh it was such a preeeeeetty little phoenix! Hm....maybe she could convince her dad to try and get her one....Just the thought of having a pretty bird like that made her eyes glitter happily. So pretty! She reeeeeally wanted to pet it. It was probably soft....and warm. See? This was the good part about coming to classes that had animals in them. They had COOOL animals in them. Nod nod.

What the random? Ack! Flying turtle! Flying turtle alert! Jenn's eyes followed the thing around, noticing it's distination seemed to be the phoenix. NOOOO! Not the pretty birdy! Jenn was just about to jump out of the crowd and rescue the bird when all of a sudden Professor Morgan stopped it. Phew. People should be clapping to the amazing teacher. But then....EEK! The Morgan was maaaaaad! "Someones gonna get it."she whipsered softly, a smirk coming onto her face. This was going to be FUN!

"Yes, everyone who answered something about Cedric being a Triwizard Champion and having a 12 1/4" ash wand with a unicorn tail core is correct." Bunbury nodded in approval of the answering students and then looked down at the book Abby mentioned.

Bunz marched back to under the shade tree and looked up, then back to the class. "Professor Morgan will be talking about unicorn cores in a moment... but until then... ash. Is ash on the Celtic tree calender, and if so, when? Do you think Cedric was born during these months? What would that mean, if his birth coincided with the wood of the calender?"

She turned to the student with a question and raised an eyebrow. "Like Professor Morgan stated, I think tracking a unicorn and collecting a hair from a stray bush would be easier than approaching it or just yanking it and scrambling away."

Bunbury's eyes drifted toward Jake Upstead for some reason and then back to the girl. "However, it's entirely possible that different wandmakers have different methods. Maybe some do ask a veela for an eyelash or a hair or whatever. Maybe some sneak it when the creature is sleeping." Shrug. "Perhaps you could ask the local wandmaker in Diagon Alley next time you're out shopping."

"Ahhhhhhhhhnuuuu," Jake mumbled, working furiously to write all this stuff down again, twitching slightly as the nib of his quill broke when he pressed down too hard for like, the fifth time, and pulling a fresh one out of his pocket.

The worst thing was not knowing whether to be scared, cautious, pleased... whatever. So Jake just stared up at Bunbunz for a while, eyes wide, body frozen and quill about to fall from his limp fingers.

Torin raised his hand. "Ash is a part of Celtic Astrology, Professor. It lasts from February 18 - March 17." He remembered that from his old school. How it lasted a month and ended on St. Patrick's day.

"I think that he may have been born within that time.. And if so would that heighten the strength of his wand?" Yet again he was just guessing.

Ana raised her hand "Yes Ash is on the calendar and it goes from february to march but i think Cedric was born in september or october." she said "Ash is a strong tree so it could mean streagh" Ana really wasn't sure about the meaning but it doesnt hurt to try

Cam barely had any idea on who the heck this Cedric guy was ooorrr what the Celtic tree calendar so he started skimmin' his textbook until he could find an answer and weeent to raise his hand. "I thiiiiiink that 'cause he was born within his calendar thingy-mabob wood... thing. UMMM he was probably ONE-WITH-THE-WANDDD. Right? Am I right??? He and wand probably had a bondddd, 'cause um um... it says here that ash... people have "a knowing of the connection between ourselves, our planet, and our universe" sooooo Cedric--along with other ash... people with their ash waaands--might have had a stronger "relationship" with their wand? I think?"
