Sylvia hadn't thought about that. She thought that they actually DID just go and pluck pheonix' feathers and stuff like that. Seemed easy enough, though, she could be questioning animal cruelty.

"Maybe they .... buy it?" Sylvia said with her hand in the air.

"Well. It must be quite a dangerous job to find the wand cores." Brody commented as she thought about the question. But then it must be worthwhile seeing as everyone here had wands. "Maybe they only take a certain number of "items" from the sources...for example the phoenix that gave it's tail to the core of Harry Potters and Tom Riddle's wands only gave two for the wands, which were "brothers"" Brody shrugged. She didnt know if that was right.

Anya raised her hand, "All birds lose feathers don't they? Maybe wandmakers know where to find phoenix nests and when the birds lose them, they take them."

Torin had no idea. "Maybe if a Phoenix likes someone they let them take their feathers and then they can sell them to wandmakers?" Epic fail. But it was a guess.

Why was she just glaring at him? EEEEEEP! Well, at least Professor Morgan was still here. Meh, still... shudder.

"Actually, Professor," he said suddenly, remembering to raise his hand just in time. "I don't think they'd, like, make the creatures docile or wait for the materials to just naturally come loose, unless it was something inside, like a bone, maybe tooth..." he paused, lowering his hand again. "They just yank it and run. It may hurt the animal, but it doesn't lower their dignity and stuff. Then, they might just wait, if they wanna be lazy. And when I'm a wandmaker, I'd want to do it properly. You know, like, grab the feather and run like heck."

Again, Jake paused. "Though some animals may just give you the stuff you need. Some animals."

Hmmmmm, how would you get the feathers from the pheonix? its not like you could just mozy on over to it and yank them out, after all hadn't faux only given TWO feathers? It's not right to treat animals unfairly... just then emily felt something rub her leg, she looked down and found her kneazle bubbles. "bubbles you're not supposed to be here!" bubbles meowed and looked at the pheonix with hunger in it's eyes, it lunged at the pheonix but emily caught it "bubbles NO! go back to the castle and wait for me in the common rooom!" emily said to her kneazle. The kneazle jumped to the ground and ran back to the castle, at least it listened.

"sorry proffesor, but she like birds..." emily said standing up to get a good look at the pheonix. "It is a magnificint bird proffesor" emily said looking at it with wide blue eyes sparkling, she did so love animals.

Evan didn't have the slightest idea of what they were talking about. Herbology was a subject he never got to learn, and CoMC was something he never wanted to learn. He looked with disbelief to the people who knew everything right. How could they learn, when did they learn? He raised his hand to guess, guesses was his only option and chance now. "Maybe when a phoenix moults?"

"I think the best way to get the feathers is through magic" Jason said to the professor.

Anya yawned, wondering how long this class was, and if they were going to have any homework. She just couldn't stop staring at Aeolus the Phoenix. He reminded her so much of her phoenix, Destinie.

"Well, Annie..." she said, with a wink. "That's a great question." Before she could answer though... the students piped in with their own answers. She LIKED that!
"That is one way, Jack. Very good." she said happily. "I regularly find unicorn hairs caught in random brushes when I'm walking through the forest."
"OH GOODNESS, I hope not!" the professor answered. Leave it to a Slytherin to come up with that one. "I hope you were kidding, Shana," she said, eying the young girl.
"Yes, young lady, they do. Buying the items is probably one of the easiest ways for them to acquire the cores. Good answer."
"YES Torin! That was the answer that I was looking for," she said excitedly. She then looked over at Annie and smiled.

"Professor Bunbury, if you would be so kind..." *cue HUGE smile* "... to demonstrate for the class how to go about asking a Phoenix for a tail feather?"
Iliana snuggled Neo!Niffler close and dangled Annie's bracelet just above his nose. When she heard what Jacob said, her head snapped in his direction. Giving him a glare, she shook her head at him and sternly said, "NO!"

Ana raised her hand "I'm not sure if this is the way but when a phoenix wants to warn someone or deliver a menssager they leave a golden tail feather"

Evelyn jumped when one of the professors yelled No right next to her, making her stumble backwards. Holding back her glare, she decided it wasn't safe up in front of the class by the phoenix, so she walked back to the bench in the back and sat down, taking up the two grass leaves and comparing them again.

Wow, she'd never heard that one before, she just thought Torin was joking. But, atleast the professor had praised her. YEEEEEY.

Ana was staring and staring to that beautiful animal, completely distracted from the rest of the world. She could be all day long just looking at the phoenix when suddenly she jumped and almost fell to the ground thanks to a branch on the floor when she heard a big "no". Ana turn her head looking for the source of that noise.

Reeling back a tiny little bit, Jake's eyes widened yet again as he frowned. Yeah, she was definitely spending too much time with Bunz. Way too much time. "I didn't say I was going to," he retorted, bending his head and continuing with his notes.

Guh. He was only saying, dude.

How was he supposed to prove he could be good if nobody gave him the chance? Bunbury got a glare for that one, because Jake refused to believe Professor Morgan would be mean to him. Not yet anyway.

Though he now had the urge to go yank one of the feathers and run...

Neo!Niffler's little beady eyes peered up at the shineh piece of metal being dangled over his nose. He sat up and batted at it a couple of times with a paw, before trying to stand on his hind legs and grab it with his mouth. But, Neo!Niffler was entirely used to be a niffler, so he just ended up losing balance and plopping down into her arms again.

Natka listened to her classmates come up with various conclusions concerning getting phoenix feathers for wands. She had no idea which one might be correct. But, being a Claw, she wasn't about to admit to this fact, either.

"Perhaps they wait until the feathers fall out and collect them? or maybe the phoenixes themselves allow a single feather to be plucked from their tails - they are said to be extraordinarily understanding creatures, after all," she tried.

She shot a nervous glance at the niffler in Ili's arms and then took a step closer to the phoenix. And then another step. And then one more step and she was right beside the perch where the bird was elegantly resting.

Annie reached out a hand and hesitated, wondering if she should say something first. Phoenixes were not scary, exactly, but they were definitely... different from nundu and dragons.

"Hello there, Aeolus," she muttered softly, lightly stroking the feathers on the bird's back with one finger. "You are absolutely gorgeous, you know, from one redhead to another."

She half-smiled and then glanced back at Iliana again before focusing on the bird. "May I please have a tail feather, for the sake of education in regards to wandlore?"

He was right? Sweet! He was grinning now. His guess totally paid off as he got praise from Professor Morgan. He wondered if Bunbury was impressed too.

But whatever, he turned his gaze to her as Morgan said she would show them how to properly ask a Phoenix.

Anya bit her lip to keep from giggling. Neo!Niffler was so CUTE!!! She had the sudden urge to own a Niffler for herself. She got bored, so she occupied herself with watching Neo!Niffler flounder around until the next question was asked. Then all of a sudden, Professor Bunbury said PLEASE!!! :O. ZOMG!!!

torin's mouth dropped. Did Professor Bunbury just say please to someone? To a bird?

Stunned, he continued to watch in silence.

Nathaniel watched as BunButt had asked the bird nicely for a tail feather. He figured she was just being nice so she could get a feather annnd so the bird wouldn't maul her. Although he wished the bird would. He watched with a grin on his face. This class was interesting.

Backing away, to a bench Tammy watched, eyes half closed as Professor Bunbury made her way towards the pheonix. UH. What if the bird like.. ATE HER!

"Professor Morgan, you sure its safe?" She whimpered out in a voice louder than normal, and incredibly squeaky.

Bunbury might have squeezed her arm to a length that it was gonna drop off last year. But THE BIRD MIGHT EAT HER!

Anya snapped out of her shock and resumed watching Neo!Niffler.
