Ray moved to the stage, he was next and he was more than prepared to audition. He knew what he was capable, after grabbing one cookie, he moved just in front of Healer Melita.
"Hello Madam Melita. I am Ray James Hufflepuff, seventh year and I'd like to sing You raise me up by a muggle singer called, Josh Groban" Ray revealed. He took a good deep breath and started singing

Glancing over at Daphne as the girl spoke to her, Livvy smiled brightly and muttered a gentle thanks to her. "Cookie would be mighty nice," she said as she reached out for a sugar cookie from a plate nearby. It never actually quite occurred to her exactly why the girl seemed to show such interest in her. Daphne never actually acknowledged her existence in the past so it struck Livvy rather odd that she would want to now.

Not that she was questioning the girl's kindness. She wasn't one to reject such a thing. But remembering the mention of Garret made her wonder. Where was the boy? Mmm. Livvy shrugged to herself and she nibbled the edge of her cookie as she contemplated.

And then it was Daphne's turn to go up. Livvy gave the girl a smile of encouragement as she watched her go up to the front. She paid special attention to her... because... well. Let's face it. She was Garret's friend and she seemed like a nice gal. Return the favor?

The girl was most definitely not bad at all. Nope. There was definitely competition here. Well... how many exactly was Melita accepting anyway? Livvy must've skimmed over that part of the announcement.

Once Daphne was finished, Livvy clapped her hands and grinned. "Not too shabby, Hopton," she said, winking at her as she repositioned herself in her seat.

Livvy paid attention to the next performances and offered encouraging and happy smiles at the performers and clapped with enthusiasm. All soooo good. Becca did mighty well with her jazz song and dance performance. And this cutie Gryffindor first year did such an ADOOOORRABLE one. Lights? AWESOME. And sunglasses. That was just plain old cool.

She continued to watch performance after performance and beamed proudly at Cela as it became the fifth year's turn to sing.

Abby steps down and helps herself to one of Miss Melita's chocolate chip cookies and a glass of milk. She was glad to have her audition over with.

Ok it was Demetria's turn now. Just a little nervous, she went up in front of Healer Melita. She took a deep breath and said, "Hi, I'm Demetria Weasley, thrid year Gryffindor and I will be singing Legally Blonde (minus the guy part) from a muggle musical called Legally Blonde." She closed her eyes for a little bit, then opened them and began singing

Okay, okay. So this whole audition didn't seem so terrible after all. It was true that LouAnn was no choir girl, but she could at least hold a tune in a bucket long enough to do a short piece. It'd be better than trying to plan ways to sneak out the back door when no one was looking. Something told her this Melita lady would catch her if she tried to make a quick escape, anyway.

So it was with that thought in mind that LouAnn made her way (slowly, mind you) up to the front of the room. She edged her way past a few people, muttering a bunch of 'Excuse me's' and 'Coming through's' as she did so. When she finally got to where she needed to be, she turned to face her peers, her throat suddenly feeling as if an entire apple had gotten stuck in it. She took a deep breath and smiled, greeting the healer shortly afterwards. "Hello, Healer Melita. I'm LouAnn Purple, a fifth year. I'm going to be singing a song called "Gotta Go My Own Way," she said. After another deep breath, she began to sing, that "apple" in her throat slowly disappearing as she did so. When she was done, she smiled at the healer again then resumed her place in the back of the room.

After just about all the people went and she clapped for their perforance she realized eeeeeeeeeek, it was her turn. She made her way front and center and said, "Hi, I'm Herminny Telerino, Gryffidor 3rd year and I'm going to sing Reflections by Chistina Aguilera". This was it Herminny though as she began to sing her song giving it her best. She sang every line with passion getting into the the song and moving to the grove in a way she felt just right hitting every high note perfectly. She finished the song and took a bow then stepped off and aside for anymore people to take their shot if their were any left.

Melita clapped enthusiastically for each and every performance. She hadn't asked for dancing, but she got it anyway and was sooooooo thrilled!!! "Wow!" she clapped again and stood up. "You were all SO wonderful! I wasn't expecting dancing, but... FABULOUS!!!"

Sophie was absolutely beside herself at the auditions. She leaned over and mock-whispered to Carter, "Weren't they just wonderful?"

After that she, she stood, banished her chair, and tucked her pink pad and quill into her robes where they seemed to just disappear. "Well, that was simply the best spent afternoon I've ever had. You can check on the door to the Hospital Wing as well as each common room notice board for the results of the auditions, shortly. In the meantime, please feel free to stay and chat with one another and finish up those cookies. Right now I need to go take some of these cookies to my dear Berty and prepare my list."

Sophie beamed at the children, then just couldn't help herself and went around hugging each of them before picking out one of each cookie and then hurrying from the great hall like a bright flash of pink...

Carter nodded in agreement. They were all fabulous. Carter hoped everyone would make it. He smiled and got up and walked around congratulating everyone on a job well done.
