Merlin's lost pinky toe these cookies were good! Even Plymouths slightly....cooked cookies didn't even taste that bad. "Yummy! You know, they should make a class here on how to bake cookies you know? And Healer Melita could be in charge of it! Since I'm sure you know plenty on the art of cooking."

She snitched a few more cookies....making that round her seventh cookie. Holy Pygmy Puff! She was eating a lot. But they were so gooooooooood. Of coarse all the tasty cookies were calming her nerves a lot. Nod nod. Yup...all that swirly icky feeling was going away. Yay!

Plymouth watched in horror as someone ELSE took one of his cookies. Ughhh... why? If they only knew how very little Plymouth knew about those cookies.

Hm. Oh well. "Hehe. Here," Plymouth slid a handful of cookies off into his palm, SMOOTHLY, and then offered a bunch to Cela. Old habits die hard. Plymouth would probably always sneak Cela goodies. "These are the GOOD ones," he whispered, all conspiratorially.

He already KNEW what Cela wanted, and had it under control. "Daphadil doesn't ever call me 'honey'," Plymouth laughed. "I bet Miss Melita would though."

"I'm doing absolutely fantastic, girls," Melita grinned and gave Mr. Morgan one last squeeze before going over and flopping into her bean bag chair. "Okay, now it's time for the auditions. Feel free to continue helping yourselves to cookies and there is milk over there, too. Just line up and when it's your turn, state your name, house, and year, and then sing your song."

Jenn looked over at Plymouth, munching on one of her own mint chocolate chip cookies. "Hey Plymouth? What did you put in your cookies? Just wondering cause....well....they taste different." She added hastily, "Not that that's a bad thing but, you know, I was just wondering."

Maybe it had buckets of SUGAR in it. Or maybe a looooooove potion. Nah....even for Plym that was going extreme. Besides, he was such a ladies man as it was. He didn't neeeeed love potion in his cookies. Besides, it probably cooked out of it...because they were defiantly......overly cooked. Sugar must be it.


Jenn's eyes widened in horror. It was time for the....gulp.....auditions? Already? NUUUUUU!

She felt like she was about to die. She was going.....lastish. Not last last, for that was dumb, but close to last....yeah. Not first....defiantly not first. She just felt bad for the unfortunate soul that had to go first. Maybe she would give them another cookie afterwards. Or a flower. She knew how to do that now.

Herminny grabbed a glass of milk and then all of a sudden heard 'SING', what sort of audition was this. She did sing but what did that have to do with nursing She got in line anyway and waited her turn cause she was now sure more then ever she needed to become a student helper for the students sakes.

Rafe was running down the hallway, he had barely any funfetti cookies on his tray and then he BURSTED! through the door. "Am... I... late? Have... they... started?"

He was completely out of breath. "Professor Lupa thought I should audition, so I hurried as fast as..." DEEP BREATH, "I could."

"Err....," Plymouth gave Jenn a big eyed look. What he had put in them...? "Umm... if I told you, you'd know. And you probably don't want to know." Right. Best change the subject.


He cleared his throat and stepped up first. "Hello everyone, Miss Melita, colleagues, guests, and my girls," Plymouth bowed to each group. "I'm a seventh year Ravenclaw student and I'll be singing a song my stepdad taught me." He cleared his throat, pulled out his wand to use as a microphone... and began.


Plymouth sang "That's Amore", the song that was a hit for Mr. Dean Martin. Smooth as a swan on a pond, Plymouth moved around the room, pausing to stop and sing in front of Miss Melita, then Livvy, then Jenn - and finally, for the grand finale, in front of Daphne Hopton.


He finished with a bow.

Hmm.... Livvy watched Daphne with a curious expression as the girl looked down at her shoes. Which were mighty pretty too. But the girl seemed to be trying to get at something. Livvy didn't know why... but it wasn't often that one would turn their glance to their shoes unless they were talking about their shoes and they were most definitely not doing so at this moment. Hmm... interesting.

OH? Was it just her, then? Was she, Olivia Zhang, insane? EEP. Crazeh doodle.

The girl just shrugged slightly and grinned. "It's alright not to like new experiences. Everyone has a different opinion, right?" she said with a carefree expression. "DEFINITELY useful. Yes. It'll make me feel somewhat useful." And important. But Livvy didn't say that. Out loud.

EHHH? Garret? G-MAN?! She perked up slightly at his name. Boy had she missed that guy. Crazy one. Spirited. Livvy smiled gently and shook her head. "No... I haven't seen him in ages. Last I saw him was when we went shopping for candy before the term ended. I have suspicions..." ABDUCTED.

... Cela? Was... acting... odd.

Livvy cocked her head as she watched the girl look around and at them. Okayy? "Um... Cela? Are you like... okay?" she asked, rather confused. Odd one. But she just shrugged and grinned as she reached out to grab a cookie from Plymmie and Daphne's pile.

Nom nom nom. Yumm-o.

She then turned her attention to Healer Melita, who was in the middle of saying what they'd be doing next. And WHATTT? Ewww... sing? Now? Livvy didn't want to. She was scaarrred. Pleaseletherbelast... pleaseletherbelast... Tentatively, she lined up near the FAR FAR. No way was she going fiiirst.

WHOOOO.... PLYMMEEHH!!! Grinning widely, the girl jumped up and down in excitement as she clapped her hands. "Greeeattt! Job, Plym!"

Cocking her eyebrow, she gave Plymouth a confused look, but descided to drop it. He seemed to want it to be dropped, that was for sure. Shrugging, she grabed another lovely cookie, and watched, not really all surprised, as Plymouth went up first. Lucky for him he was defiantly not afraid of attention.

Jenn claped and whistled as Plymouth addressed each group, giving him a big smile. What? Encouragement was the key here. Then waited for him to begin.

WOWZA! He was actually good. Not that she doubted him, but still. Wow. She claped loudly, her smile even wider. "GOOD JOB PLYMOUTH!"she cheered, bouncing in her seat. Oh dear. Now she was getting hyper. Not good. Maybe she would go line up....yeah...lining up might be good. Nah...she'd sit here a little longer, then go line up. Yup yup.

Oh. Her face fell despite the excited air around them. Livvy hadn't seen Garret Crocker either. Nodding, she did her best to smile but was caught off guard by Plymouth's sudden outburst. He was going first.

Amused, Daphne watched him do his rounds. He was singing.

Remarkably well at that too.

He also happened to be singing at her. In her direction. To her. Raising a brow at his performance, Daphne stood still and silently and waited for his last note to die before....


She wrinkled her nose and side-stepped back into the line.

"I'll go after you, Livvy?" Once in line, she dusted off invisible dirt from her skirt and started humming in practice.

LouAnn had no idea what in Merlin's name she was doing here, but hey, it looked interesting and if nothing else, she was just curious to see what it was all about. She blinked when the Healer mentioned it was time for...auditions? Erm...come again? Apparently, LouAnn hadn't read the entire announcement. Seeing as she didn't know what in the world they were auditioning to do---dance? sing? cook? skip rocks?---she backed up a little and watched as some Ravenclaw boy got up and just let loose. He actually did quite well, too.

Okay, okay. So this was a singing audition, hmm? Lovely. LouAnn didn't sing much, and she absolutely had nothing prepared. Wonder if they took whistlers? Hummers, maybe? There was that song her mum had sung to her when she was a little girl, "Twinkle, Twinkle, Little Star." LouAnn knew that song word for word, but she wouldn't dare get up and sing it in front of her peers. Maybe if she just sat back and clapped a lot, that lady with the cookies would just think she'd already had a turn and LouAnn wouldn't even have to go forward.

Jenn looked around, waiting for someone, anyone!, to go up and sing. But nuuuu....no one went up. Sighs.....

Looking around one last time, she finally got up, sighing deeply and walking up to the stage, if that's what you could call it. Her heart was beating faster than the wings of a snitch right then. What if she messed up? What if the world crashed down around her? ....that wouldn't happen, but the mess up part probably would. Making her wand a microphone she took a deep breath and started. "Um....Hello," she waved slowly, smiling nervously, "My name is Jennumara Blood, I'm fifteen years old and I'm a fourth year in the house of Ravenclaw. I'll be singing a muggle song I heard not to long ago, and it kinda exspress how I feel a lot of the time about someone....so yes. Um, it's called You Belong with Me, by um.....Taylor Swift I think....so yes."

Jenn started singing her mind racing faster than she thought possible, yet, here she was, singing actually perfectly. She walked around a bit, then as she got more confident, she started smiling and dancing around, winking at Plymouth, and flashing Livvy and Healer Melita a grin. Finally finishing, she bowed, and smiled around, then skipped back to her seat. That wasn't to bad actually. She took a deep breath, then helped herself to another cookie.

The only thing that Fia knew was that there was auditions for the Healer part...thingy and she wanted to help. That was what she said she wanted to be in that Lord Borr's classroom and....

And state their name and wait in line and what was going on? Well, she would sing whatever and hoped that she wasn't too out of tune. When her turn came up she smiled and took a shallow bow.

"Fia Allister, Fourth Year Hufflepuff and soon to be your Healer Helper," she said with another bow and began to sing a song called Yesterday Is Here. She never claimed to sing and if only Miles was here to see her.

Livvy turned her head to glance at Daphne as she spoke to her. After her? Wait. What? No. She didn't want to go next. NUUUUUUU. She gave the younger girl a horrified and exasperated look. As confident and carefree that Livvy may seem... she always felt self-conscious with her music. It was her little... 'secret'.

"Um. Yeah. Sure. Daph. Sure," Livvy said, her voice squeaking and she could imagine beads of sweat dripping from her forehead. Oh shoot. Oh shoot. Oh Merlin. SAVE HER.

But thankfully, Jenn went up. Hoorah. Livvy always knew that the girl was there for her... even if she never knew it. RAVVEH POWAA! She then remained in her spot as she watched the girl sing and eesh. She was ghuuuuddd. Well... at least Livvy thought so. If she wasn't, then what was 'good' exactly?

Grinning at the girl once she finished, Livvy held up two thumbs up and then glanced around as another girl got up. Once THAAT girl was finished, Livvy glanced around once more. Anyone? Anyone? No one? No? REALLEH?

Sighing, Livvy got up to sing, flashing Cela, Daphne, and Plymouth a look of anxiousness. Help? No? Clearing her throat, she felt around her robes for a wand and then pulled it out to act as a microphone. Might as well get it over with right? Right. "Hullo. My name is Olivia Zhang, but I go by Livvy because... well... let's just face it... Olivia is gross. Anyway... I'm a sixth year Ravenclaw and I'm sixteen-years-old.... and... I'm going to be singing a song that I learned long ago," Livvy said, attempting a small meek smile.

Her lips opened as she began to sing, the words that she had remembered for all so long and that she had learned ever since she was little. Her heart pumped and raced and Livvy was sure that she'd explode. She let herself sway from side to side a little, which relieved her of her stress. Okay. Okay. Good. And well. Cuz' everyone else did so, she began to walk around even more and well... dance? At least some form of dancing. Was it interpretive dance? It was something.

Once finished, Livvy gave everyone a lame smile and scurried off back to her friends.

OH NO! Rafe had absolutely nothing prepared, he came here on a whim!

He clapped at each person's performance. He thought that Plymouth guy was a bit of a show off! He didn't have much of a voice.

He sat there and cooked up a plan.

Fred quicliy noticed, eeeeeeeeeeek, it was his turn, he took a deep breath and said, "Hi, I'm Fred Pelican, 5th year Gryffindor and I'm here so I hope to become one of you're helpers Healer Melitia. Im going to sing Beautiful Soul by Jesse Mccartney so here I go.". Fred began to sing the song and everything went perfectly and she loved every minute of it hitting every line with passion and conviction. He finished and smiled widely as she stepped to the side to let the next person have their go.

While some of the students were singing, Daphne alternated between paying studious and respectful attention and primping. Except when Livvy went up. Then Daphne did her very best in paying attention, nodding and smiling in encouragement here and there because--she had to admit, she looked a little nervous and she wanted to be nice in behalf of Garret.

Whom she wasn't going to tell that she was being nice because of him. Heh. Livvy was soon done, and Daphne crinkled her nose at her as she joined them. "Good show, Livvy. Go have a cookie?" Hehe.

Primping her hair, and face and clothes and...She was just trying to get ready. Honestly, the Gryffindor fifth year wasn't sure what Healing had to do with singing. Daphne, by all means, was no Barbara Streisand (ancient muggle songstress. lovely woman) but her voice was decent. Pleasant on the ears. Mildly entertaining.

Clapping briefly at the performances, Daphne stepped up and flicked her bangs away from her eyes. "Hello everyone," she greeted with a small smile before dusting off a shoulder. "My name is Daphne Hopton. I'm a Gryffindor fifth year." As if they didn't know who she was. Heh. I'll be singing a very old but simple tune. Please forgive any shortcomings."

Clearing her throat, Daphne placed one hand before she began her own rendition of Edelweiss. Pacing the area slowly, not wanting to show off too much. There was no point really. It wasn't like she was out to impress anyone besides Melita; and even then, it didn't really matter.

Having finished, she did a little bit of a curtsy; thanked her audience and shuffled over to the table to snag an almond cookie and pretend she was not blushing. Yup.

Carter smiled. He was a little surprised at the results. Well, now he had something to write about for his Astronomy homeworlk. He took a seat on the newly conjured bean bag.

Carter returned the smile (a little nervously). He could tell that she was thinking exactly what he was. That he was only a first year and what in the world had he done to deserve such an honor.

Carter got up and grabbed a few cookies and milk before rejoining Healer Melita on the bean bags. He clapped as the first few people preformed. They were good. He happily ate some cookies and sipped the milk. Man, life was good!

Becca was quite mesmerized by Plymouth Morgan. He was beautiful in every way known to man, she was thoroughly convinced! Becca... felt really dumb. Like, really dumb. How could anyone top that performance?

Luckily, some mediocre performances followed shortly after, and Becca knew she needed to get her less than satisfactory performance in so she wasn't the last and most awful. "Good day, Healer Melita. My name is Becca Parker, fifth year Ravenclaw. Before I begin - let me just state that I play the saxophone, and singing isn't necessarily my strong suit. But we can still be best friends and all. Okay? Okay. Great."

So, she paused for a moment, gathering her thoughts and such, then managed to pull together a soft, simple jazz song and dance. Jazz was her specialty, but not so much at singing. She knew she wasn't the best, but she held her head high and tried, y'know? That's all that mattered. She thought she put on a cute little act - when she was finished, she gave a brilliant toothy smile and bow. Ta da!

Rafe would just have to suck it up. He might make a bit of a fool of himself, but he had to give a try. "My-name-is-Rafe-Lycaon-I-am-in-Gryffindor-and-I-am-a-first-year-and-I-have-a-rap-for you-today," he said really quickly that it all kind of ran together.

He stood at the front of the hall in front of everyone. He was feeling extremely nervous and his palms began to sweat. At least his he was going to perform in front of people he had never seen (except a few), he was going to have fun with it.

Rafe pulled out his sunglasses from his satchel and put them on. He took out his wand as well and with a swish and flick he made the lights go down low! He pulled out what looked like a lighter, and flicked it several times and sparkling balls of green, yellow, blue, purple, orange, and red came out. And began dancing around the Great Hall. He flicked his wand once more and music seemed to be coming from the flaming colored balls and they got brighter with the beat. They swirled around the audience.

"Alright everyone, I'm Rafe the Man, and I am hear 'cause I want to be a Healer Helper, for real yo! Now you might judge me cause I'm just eleven, but don't think that size matters...so this is was I got to say..." Rafe went around the room and waved his hands in the air and used his wand a a microphone as he beagan his rap...

"Helping other people is what I like to do,

He dropped his wand at the end and crossed his arms and leaned back again. He didn't know what people would think he just sort of stood there waiting.

Ignoring the offered cookies, because she was cutting back and if she was going to have any it would be more fun to grab them on the sly, Cela couldn't quite help bouncing along to Rafe's rap. Pop lock and... yes.

Ahem.

Ready for her turn she smiled around at the others, having enjoyed them all very much. Hopefully they'd sing along with her? Maybe?

She started to sing, a cheerful smile on her face, for the minute that she sang for.

Everyone was so.....goooooood! She didn't know how the Healer was going to chose. They were all really good. Sighs.....maybe another cookie would boost her spirits. Yeah....that would work.

Turning to grab another cookie, she blinked in surprise as the lights went out low, and then it was colorful. OHHH! PRETTY LIGHTS! She reached out for one, wanting to touch it. It was so pretty! But then brought her hand back. Bad Jenn! Bad! Watching the first year in front of her, she raised an eyebrow. Wow.....he must really want this thing.....badly. Of coarse for a firstie, he knew a lot of magic. After it was done, she blinked to get her eyes used to the light again, then looked around to see what everyone else thought. Personally, she didn't know.

She smiled up at Cela encouragly. Wow...she sounded good. Of coarse, Livvy sounded good to when she went. Everyone was good. Sighs.

Abby finishes her sugar cookie and makes her way to the podium. "Hello, Miss Melita. My name is Abby Wright, and I'm a seventh year. I would like to sing for you a song from the muggle musical, The Sound of Music. My nanny used to sing it to me when I was ill."

Blake skipped over to the Cookie Bag and grabbed a handful of Peanut Butter Filled Chocolate Cookies and flashed a wide smile at Healer Melita.
On his way back to where he had been, Blake SQUEEED! Ohmegosh, they have to.....

SING!

Yay! It was Blake's favorite thing to do. He waited not so patiently for his turn. He kept of jumping lightly on the balls of his toes. Lots of kids were gooooood! It was going to be tough for Madam Melita.

Yes yes, it was his turn. Blake raaaan for Healer Melita and landed in front of her with a perfect back flip. Wink.wink. Smoothing his shirt, Blake cleared his throat, "Hiiii Madam Melita. I'm Blake Wright and a fourth year, Slytherin." Grinning, he continued, "Annnd I'll be singing......" Okaay keep your hyperness down, you're so damn serious about singing so.. "Thinking of You, it's my version of it." He muttered, looking around sheepishly. "I'll keep it short but if you think it's insufficient, I'll gladly sing something else too." Blake took a deep breath and began...

At the end, he simply smiled at Phillips, Healer Melita & the audience. It was short, sweet and simple, sigh.

Her arms folded, after eating one little coookie (Tehhe which had been rather nice) Brody watched the others perform their little pieces. They were all very good, especially Cela. But, although they had only met once, she'd have no doubt that the girl would have been good.
Oh but look. It was her turn now. Here goes nothing.

Stepping infront of Healer Melita, she smiled. "Hello Healer Melita. I'm Brody Summers" and I'm very pretty. "And I'm a fourth year." Should she tell her what she was going to sing? Well. Actually it would be pretty much obvious when she began the song really. Taking a big breath, Brody began to sing, still smiling.
