Healer's Helpers Audition Sophie skipped into the great hall with a tray of cookies (of course). She conjured herself up a pink beanbag chair and settled into it. Then, she got out a clipboard and her pink feather quill and waited for the inevitable rush of students wanting to apply. |
Ray entered the classroom and was ready to come and audition. He had prepared his piece, he had his wand ready and a couple of cookies wrapped in a little plastic bag. |
So, Cela wasn't entiiiirely confident about this, considering she'd not long ago had a broken arm and all. But she remembered being interested when Melita had some choir thing when Celandine had been a first year, so why not check it out? And if she learned some good healing spells along the way... She shrugged to herself and skipped ahead of the others (:shifty:). "Hello Profe... Healer Melita!" Celandine greeted and, carrying a little purse over one shoulder she came to a stop in front of the woman. |
Very well, mostly she was only interested because Celandine was interested in it. Undoubtedly, Celly would probably do very well and Daphne Hopton wanted to be there to see it. And possibly snag a spot herself. Possibly. Ignoring everyone else, she picked up her pace to catch up to her best friend. "Healer Melita," greeted Daphne a little breathlessly after coming down all those stairs. "Hi. How are you?" |
When Brody had read this particular notice on the notice board in the common room, she had known that she had to get involved in it. And so here today, when the auditions were, the blonde walked into the great hall, a sparkly gold bag, bouncing against her hip. She liked that sparkly gold bag teehee. She looked around, there weren't many people here yet, just Healer Melita, Cela, and some hufflepuff boy she didnt know. With a smile playing against her lips, she stood still, waiting for some others to turn up. |
Plymouth had planned to "try-out" all along. He just didn't have enough extra-curricular activities. Ahem. He wasn't real big on blood or gore, but his mum volunteered at St. Mungo's often, so maybe "Healing" was in his genes. And his Daphadil would be there, too. Win and win. And Cela. "Let's break out the bandages!" Plymouth entered the room, actually not ready to bandage anyone because blood wasn't exactly his favorite bit. He moved to stand directly behind Daphne and put a light hand on her shoulder. "Healer Melita," he bowed his head to her politely. |
Demetria wandered into the Great Hall, hoping she had made it on time for the auditions. There weren't many people there yet. She smiled as she looked at Healer Melita. So much pink! Demetria loved pink. She went and sat down at one of the tables near where Healer Melita was sitting, a bag of chocolate chip cookies in hand. "Hello, Healer Melita. Pleasure seeing you today." she smiled. |
O__o Healer's Helpers Audition? What on earth was he doing here? Ack! Get out of here Blakey, GOOOO! Blake tried to sneak out but stopped, trying wouldn't hurt plus he had this tendency to hurt himself and other quite a bit and possibly he might learn a helpful spell....erm hopefully. Looking at the girl as she skipped to the front, Blake frowned. He should get in front too. He dashed towards the front, lalalalaing. Coookiee monsterrrrr, TEEHEE. "Helloooo there Miss Healer Melita Madam." He greeted the lady with the coookiesss and looked around the great hall, examining his competitors. |
Abby's mother wants her to become a healer just like her. She hoping that auditioning for a position with Miss Melita might please her mother. Abby also hopes that maybe her mother might want to spend some more time with her too. She really misses the time she had with her mother when Abby was younger. Abby walks into the great hall. She has not prepared anything for this audition because Abby hasn't got a clue how you audition for the role of a healer trainee. She notices Ray sitting on a bench. Abby smiles at him. "Hello Miss Melita, how are you today." Abby makes her way over to the bench Ray is sitting on. She sits down next to him. |
Audiiitiooooonnns. Livvy stared at the sign as she wandered in, glancing around herself at her fellow classmates also. Were they also here to try-out? Who knew people actually tried out for being a Healer Helper? Buuut. Wasn't the Healer, Melita? .... That woman was TOO friendly. She grasped the strap of her book bag and smiled up at the Healer. "G'day Healer Melita. How was your day?" she asked, politely. |
"Hello everyone. Welcome to the auditions. First, we're all going to share cookies," Sophie said. She stood up and plopped her cookies on the table and then waited for the students to do the same. Every event should start with cookies. "I'm doing very well, Miss Hopton, Mr. Morgan, and Miss Zhang. And how are you doing on this fine day?" |

Nommy. Why did they need cookies anyway? She moved back to stand with Daphne and Plymouth then waved at Brody and Livvy before focusing her attention on Melita again. |
She felt a hand on her shoulder and turned her head slowly, instantly recognizing the excited voice. "Hello, Plymouth. I didn't think you'd be here," finished the blond with a little frown. Curious boy. Calmly, Daphne extricated a bag of almond cookies, neatly tied with a baby blue ribbon. They were her favorite kind of cookies and Daphne hoped everyone liked them as much as she did. The cook back home always put a dash of vanilla just for Daphne's tastebuds. Bumping her friend gently, Daphne nodded at Livvy and she would have waved at the others but she didn't recognize them except for that one Hufflepuff. Daphne thought she'd seen her over the summer at the ball. MM. What had been her name? |
Carter walked in to the great hall. "Hello Healer Melita. How are you today?" he asked walking in. He wasn't quite sure what this what about but he had been personally invited to come by Healer Melita herself during his Astronomy lesson. He had also helped pass around cookies then. |
"Hmmm. Well see," Plymouth moved around Daphne to put his cookie on the tray. It was straight from his pocket, lint covered, and gingerbread. It probably still tasted fine. Nevermind that Plymouth found it in a Christmas tin at the bottom of his trunk. He was guessing it PROBABLY never got old. Probably. He traded his cookie for one of the fresher, warmer ones that Miss Melita made. "I figure if I don't get it, Daphadil, the position, I can still come and watch you do your number. I'll clap the loudest for you." Plymouth grinned and took back to his spot behind Daphne. With a mouthful of cookie, Plymouth gave abundant praise to the chef, "MMmmMmmmMMmmMMMmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm!" |
Smiling sweetly at the woman, Livvy answered, "That is good to know. And I am doing mighty well, myself. Thank you." Charming one person was essential to get into their good books. COOKIEESS?!?! YUMM-O. Waving at Cela and offering a smile to Daphne, she made her way over to the part of the table where they were. "Hullo," Livvy said, gently, smiling at Plymouth as the boy made sounds of enjoyment at the cookie he was eating. She then looked down at her bag and stuck her hand in it as she searched for the plastic bag. Pulling it out, Livvy watched the bag of snickerdoodles carefully and set it on the table. |
Melita clapped her hands with glee. "Mr. Phillips!" she exclaimed and went over to give him a hug! "I am fabulous! Everyone, this is Mr. Phillips. He's a very sweet boy and will be the chief healer's assistant," she introduced him to everyone and then conjured him up a pink bean bag chair. "You can sit beside me during the auditions and tell me what you think of everyone." Melita pat him on the head and then moved to inspect the cookies. "Mmmmm almonds. These must be Miss Hopton's," she decided and took a sniff. "Mmm... I just love adding a dash of extra vanilla. And chocolate chip... always a good choice," she said and then frowned, picking up the sad looking gingerbread cookie and clicking her tongue. "Oh dear. This one seems to have had a rough time of it. Well, only one thing to do..." And she ate it. Covered in fuzz and so rock hard it was surprising she didn't break a tooth on it. "It still had a bit of life left," Melita declared with a grin before putting an arm around Mr. Morgan. "You come up to my office some time and I'll help you bake a cookie." She gave him a little squeeze and cleansed her palate with a snickerdoodle. "Yummy. This is most definitely going to be one of the tastiest choirs I've had the pleasure of directing." |

Turning her attentions to Healer Melita, Daphne nodded and grinned happily, the corner of her eyes crinkling with pleasure. Oh. The Cook back at home was getting yet another thankful letter. MMHMM. If she got the position that is. "Hello, Mister Phillips," greeted Daphne politely as she turned to the Hufflepuff and nodded before letting out a happy gasp at Livvy's presence. Having been missing Garret Crocker all these days (not that she'd admit it), having Livvy around was like having some kind of link to the boy. Even then, she reigned in the need to hound her about Garret's presence. Did she even know? "So you're interested in Healing?" she inquired wrinkling her brow. "I think this will do me good, you know?" So that next time Celandine broke her arm, Daphne could do more than just worry and feel guilty about it. |
Standing in a corner at the healer's helpers audition, Bianca smiled at the healer named... Quickly she looked at the flyer she had taken. Right, Sophie Melita. It was time to burn that name in her brain, so she didn't forget. Oh well, time to get out her cookiessss. Walking over to Sophia Melita she took a bag of shredded coconut and orange cookies. Yes, the, uh, healthy alternative? Whatever. "Hello, Healer Melita," she uttered with a smile, and placed her cookies onto the table, with shaking hands. "How are you today?" She asked, with another bright smile, confidence beginning to rise in her. There was no point in being nervous, or shy, because that was certainly not getting her anywhere. |
Jenn's heart was raising a million times faster than usual. She had her cookies all freshly baked and everything. Plus, she was confident about her music piece So why in merlin's beard was she so scared? Of coarse, coming when it seemed everyone else was eating wasn't a good time either. Rushing over she grabed a seat, smiling at the people around her, noticing that a lot of older people were here. "Hello Healer Melita. How are you this fine day?"she asked, passing her cookies around, since it seemed that was what everyone else was doing right then. Hopefully fresh Mint and chocolate chips would do the trick with some things. Nom nom. Mmm.....yummy in my tummy!!!! |
Blink. How old was this boy? And he was the Chief Healer's Assistant? Livvy had a rather puzzled look as she studied the boy that had just walked in. Was he a midget? Rude Livvy. RUDE. She slapped herself in her mind and told herself to mind her manners and to be courteous. Who knew? Maybe this 'Mr. Phillips' was a GENIUS. A healing PRODIGY. "Hullo Mr. Phillips," she said, offering a small smile. She ain't gonna mess with some prodigy or genius. She knew that one day it'd come and bite her in the butt. Ooh. Happiness? Livvy grinned cheerfully at Daphne. Although she had never actually spent much time with her, but she was a nice gal. Plus she was Garrett's friend so there was obviously something that he saw in her that was potential acquaintance material. Right? Was she right... or was she right? That's what she thought. OHHH. Interested? Livvy just shrugged and smiled a bit. "In a way, I guess. You gotta sign up for new opportunities! That's what I say!" she said, sticking her hand out into the air in a balled out fist. BOO-YAH! "Sure thing," she said, nodding her head. "You'll actually know what to do when someone gets hurt instead of standing there feeling like a compleeette... idiot." Boy. Had she felt that before. |
Stumbling awkwardly, Cedric entered the great hall. He's not really good as a helper but he want to try because of his curiosity and all. He wondered why they has a new healer this term. He likes their last healer. As he entered, he noticed that there's only a few boys who were gonna try to be the healer's helper. He felt rather embarrassed, This was all idiocy, he thought while he walk towards the other people at the hall. Then he noticed their new healer, he heard that their new healer loves cookies. Then he glanced at their new healer, she looks lovely and nice. He walked towards her, "Hello Miss Sophie." He greeted their new healer as he smiled feebly. |

Plymouth watched in HORROR as Ms. Melita chose his cookie - and ATE it. For Merlin's sake he'd only brought it for LOOKS, if he were being honest. He just wanted to come! He didn't mean... Ah. Well. Positive side of things were that the HEALER ate it, so if she got explosive diarrhea or crippling stomach cramps from the ancient cookie - she'd know exactly what to do. "Errr... sure thing, Miss Melita. I DO like your cookies and your pink-ness just makes my day." Oh Merlin, Plymouth loved hugs. He snuggled back into his Healer and soaked up her LOVE and attention like a sponge. Plymouth waved happily at the short fellow that seemed to be some sort of authority figure. Cute little guy, so Plymouth made cutesy faces at him. Quote:
"I'll remember that, Miss Hopton," was all Plymouth added, with an added smirk of his own. He eased back to the table to snatch another. Merlin these were GOOOOOOOD. |

She looked around and then at Daphne and Plym. Would they notice... if she... ... ate just... a few cookies? |

And in the last incident, Daphne was willing to blame the adult involved for Celandine's injuries. Borr. She still wasn't going to forgive him. Then--because she couldn't help herself. "Have you seen, Garret?" Quote:
Silly boy. Aaaand, Celandine was looking at her. Blinking, Daphne tilted her head. "What's up, honey?" |
