's for Macavity *shifty* :D It was a mug. It was filled with tea. What were you supposed to do with it again? Kiri stared at the rising steam blearily, wishing fervently she was still in bed. It wasn't that she needed that much sleep, but it was the end of the week, and the prior night had turned out to be very long, thanks to Professor Morgan and her Mooncalf lesson. Kiri was prepared to stay up late for Astronomy - although , in winter, darkness descended early of course - but Care of Magical Creatures? She took the mug in a slow motion as she considered that the subject was not ever going to become one of her favourites if it kept this up. As she was slurping her tea and blinking tiredly in the direction of the toast, the owls arrived, bearing their usual letters, newspapers, and packages. From her spot on the bench, Kiri had a clear view on the Gryffindor table. She looked up with mild interest as several owls flew into the Great Hall and swooped down at the table. They were carrying large-ish rectangular boxes. Then she noticed the person they'd dropped the boxes in front of. Kiri's back stiffened, and her tiredness was gone in an instant. She put down her mug (an astute watcher would have noticed that her movements had become a bit... forced) and hurried over to the Gryffindors. "Is this what I think it is?" she asked the girl who was sitting next to the boxes in a low voice, sliding onto the bench next to her. |
Macavity and Phil <333 Reese was sitting at the Slytherin table, trying to write a letter back home. Yet, she was tired and still very depressed out Mel's death. Sighing, she folded up her unfinished letter and placed it inside her robe pocket before she picked up the cup of pumpkin juice that was on the table in front of her. She took a few sips as she glanced around the Great Hall to see all the people that were there eating or just having a conversation with their friends. That's when her eyes landed on Kiri and some Gryffindor girl and then she saw the boxes near them. At the sight of the boxes, a little bit of anger rose inside of her. She quickly stood up and walked over to the Gryffindor table with the cup of pumping juice still in her hands. "Are those the boxes we've been waiting for?" She asked the two girls as she took a seat next to Kiri. |
When the first large box was dropped onto the Gryffindor table as the morning owls started swooping in, Ainsley didn't give them much thought thinking they were someone elses. But as the number of boxes increased around her and she looked at the nondiscrept label they carried the girl realised just what they were and their purpose. The Gryffindor becoming gradually more alert then her previous state as if someone turned on a dimmer switch. "Yes I do believe they are," she answered hearing a voice from beside her, her carriage more mature then her 12 years usually showed as she turned her head to watch Liri sit down beside her. Her eyes casually scanned the crowds of the Great Hall for two more familiar faces just in time to see the other Slytherin coming towards them and sitting on the other side of the girl beside her. She gave a nodd at the repeated question her attention on the Ravenclaw table for the last of their quartet. |
"Fantastic," Kiri said with a smirk. She glanced at the staff table. Lupa didn't seem to be there, so maybe she was holed up in her office, trying to get rid of fleas or something. She prodded one of the boxes. They were all wrapped in nondescript brown paper. Either they'd been lucky, and the people at the shop had added that, or Ainsley possessed even more foresight than Kiri had thought. "Hey, Reese," she said when the older girl joined them at the Gryffindor table as well. "Do you know if we have all the boxes we need already?" |

She looked back at Kiri when the young Slytherin opened one of the boxes up. "I don't know for sure," she replied. "The Ravenclaw girl might have the rest of them, though. I haven't seen her lately, so I can't be certain." Standing up, she peeked inside the box at all the brown wrapping paper that was inside of it. She was glad that the stuff inside the box was wrapped up, because it would just be her luck that someone would pass by them and spot what was inside if it wasn't wrapped up. |
Kat, Cat and Phil :P Walking into the Great Hall a little late, since she'd stopped off in the owlery before she'd come down for breakfast to check and see if her owl was back, she glanced around before contemplating heading to her house table. In the forefront of her mind, she was still looking to see if Chloe had turned up, but as her gaze landed on the Gryffindor table and she saw all the boxes around three girls she recognized, another side of her kicked in and she shifted to head over that way. Managing to get there rather quietly, since she had been too lazy to pick out shoes yet for the day and was still wearing her slippers (which still looked rather good), she arrived just in time to hear Kiri's question directed at Reese. "A bit later today, I think. Maybe tomorrow morning. They're on their way," she interjected, keeping her voice fairly low, although also loud enough to not attract attention other than from the three girls she was standing near, as she glanced over the boxes stacked around them. |
Achilles sat down and took a piece of bread. He never ate much, mostly because he always had more energy from eating little than more. He smiled at his pumpkin juice because he was thirsty after a whole day of work. |

As Liri prodded the box and opening it to reveal its wrapped contents, Ainsley was glad she had remembered something that her stepmother had told her about when tryin to keep things secret. The Gryffindor having requested the shop to take the added measure. Returning her attention to the group she smiled as they were joined by the last of their group, the Ravenclaw revealing what they needed to know. "That's good" she replied trying to think of their next move. "Now we just need to move these someplace before they inconvience anyone whowants to eat," she added acting as if they were just a bunch of packages from home. |
Antarctica!, Macavity, SilverTiger, & Sneakeh Cat- Hope this is okay. :] Melanie headed into the Great Hall, a slight grin on her face, as she started to head for the Hufflepuff table to eat her breakfast... And then she stopped in her tracks. Spying a little group gathering by the Gryffindor table, the 3rd year wandered over towards them instead, almost without a second thought. Seeing the boxes slowly gathering on the table as she was but a few footfalls from the other girls, her grin grew a bit, looking almost dopey, like she was a happy little child on Christmas morning receiving her most desired gift. Boxes! Melanie popped up behind one of the other girl's shoulder, a bright look on her face, as she asked her the question Reese had asked mere moments ago, and Kiri had asked before that. "Are those the...well, you know... the boxes?" she whispered. |

Mhmhm... Everyone :P Another one of their little group arrived. "They are," Kiri said, twisting her head to look at the other girl. She was a little worried that a group of students from different houses, all huddled together at one table and in front of a big pile of... conspicuously inconspicuous boxes was going to attract attention. Keeping a low profile was still very important at this point. Kiri did not want to disappoint Copernicus. He was risking so much to inform everyone about the werewolf danger. That she was risking a lot as well never crossed her mind. She picked a box up and shook it absent-mindedly. There was a thought trundling through her head that proved particularly annoying to get rid of right now, something about being terribly tired and not really in the mood for plotting. "Erm..." Kiri gave herself a mental prod. There was work to be done. "Alright, we need to get them out of here before someone asks what they are. Let's see... Reese and I can take them with us. Store them in the dormitory. We don't have to take them up to the Tower or anything. That way, we'd already have the boxes we need in the Slytherin common room. Melanie, you could help us carry them to the Dungeons. "Here, er... Adrienne." She looked around at the Ravenclaw girl. "Let us know when yours have arrived, and we'll take them up to the Gryffindor and Ravenclaw rooms." She nodded decisively and lowered her voice again. "Do you think you can get out of your common rooms at night? When it's... time?" |
the group :P Adrienne didn't need any special skills to sense that Kiri was a bit worried about them all being gathered out in the open, here in the Great Hall. For one, she was a bit nervous herself, a trait that seemed to pop up every time she actually thought about the plan. Not that she was about to back down, especially since they were working for a good cause, and she had no reason to question motives, especially since their leader was Copernicus. A fellow Ravie. She had to show support. But then, it seemed they'd already attracted another person, and she risked a short glance at Kiri, as their group leader, as she wondered what they should do. "Of course," she said, a little vaguely, agreeing as the idea of them taking the boxes to the Slythie CR was broached, as well as the apparent acceptance of the new girl. If Kiri was fine with it, she would be, and the more the merrier. To an extent. If they let too many people in, the whole secrecy concept would be out the window. Her blue eyes went back to Kiri as the younger girl said her name, however. "Mmm hmm," she murmured, nodding to convey that she would let them know, then a quick grin crossed her face at the next question. Would she be able to sneak out or the dorm at night, ha. It wasn't for nothing she was Adrienne Mercer. She could tell if someone was coming easily, so she figured she'd have no problem. "I shouldn't have trouble. And we already know the place, so as soon as I know time, you can count on me." |

Ainsley smiled as the last of their group arrived, nodding at her question even as Liri answered it vocally. She let the older girl take the lead now that they were all assembled having had only agreed to lending her services and owl not taking control. She listened to the words, nodding in understanding and agreement, her normal quiet nature inforcing itself over the personality that showed up when the boxes arrived. It seemed she would be responsible for part of the second batch, making a mental note to keep aprised of details for later. "No problem," she added echoing Adrienne's words, the confident side reasserting itself. Ainsley knew she and the Ravenclaw had a bit more to deal with then the two Slytherins but it wasn't impossible. |

"Haha Yeah we are not bad people well not as bad as the Slytherins before us but hey not all of us can be good you know. K then finsihed eating, "Well Jason I'm going to go and catch up with some other friends I'll see you around and such. I like to hang out more with everyone." K then waved good bye and headed else where. |
Jason watche K leave. Jason went to watch the quiditch match. |
Lilly walked into the great hall with a broad grin on her face. she was in a good mood today and nothing could take her down. Gryffindor had won, and she had no homework. this was a blessing in her mind. lilly walked to the end of the table and plopped herself down happily. then she grabbed some mashed potatoes, and some delicious fruit. yum yum. now if only there was someone to talk to. |
Alex walked back from the game smiling happily as Gryffindor won. She saw Lily at the table and went to sit next to her. " Hey" she said smiling as she grabbed some mashed potatoes and starting eating. She poured herself a cup of pumkin juice and drank, not knowing how thristy she was. |
Foooodddd....!!!!! Daisy felt as if she hadn't eaten in weeks (when in actuality it was about 5 hours). She stumbled into the Great Hall cold and clamy feeling from the Quidditch game and grabbed the first seat she saw. "Hi," she said pulling her fingerless gloves off that looked like mice. "Pass the tea would you?" she inquired of the first year sitting across from her. |
