Up the stairs and down to your right stands the door to the girls sleeping quarters.The rooms are adorned in shades of red, with a few posters on the wall: the Gryffindor Quidditch team winning the Quidditch cup, Gryffindor house table at the Halloween feast, along with a few others. A heater has warmed the room and trunks and belongings are already inside the trunks at the foot of your very comfortable four poster beds. Unlike the boys dorms, this one has a few feminine touches, such as a full lengeth mirror on the back of the door and a vanity table every two beds.

Make yourself at home girls!

Remember: NO BOYS PERMITTED

Mikaela smiled as a thanks. "I'm only a first year," She said.
"But I'm turning 13 in December. My parents made me wait a year to start Hogwarts," Why she didn't know. But her parents could be a bit protective at times.
"So when is your birthday?" Mikaela asked.

"Oh, a firstie!" Lucy siad as she finally grabbed two chocolate frogs and handed one to Mikaela.

"Oh, wow, you won't believe how may firstie friends I have! Actually, my best friend is a firstie!" Lucy said as she chuckled, going back to her old, cheerful self. It wasn't fun to be sad.

As she unwrapped her frog, and nibbled it, she glanced at Mikaela.

"My birthday is on April 1st...April Fools day," She said as she swallowed her bite.

"It's kind of annoying sometimes, though...you wouldn't believe how many times I get pranked on my birthday..." Lucy said as she remebered how one year, her dad had given her one of those clowns that jumbped out at you. Except it was all rapped it, so when she opened it, the clown had popped out, almost giving her a heart-attack. She chuckled at the memory.

"It's okay if you're 13. That means you're closer in age to me!" She said with a laugh.

Mikaela opened her frog too and took a bite. "My dad loves to joke on April fool's day. I'm the one who forgets it and has to pay the prize," Mikaela rolled her eyes and chuckled. Her dad always made pranks on her on April fools day. Most people would think that her mom would make more jokes since she was a witch, but her dad always took first place.

"Yes," Mikaela smiled. "I have many slightly older friends," She said.

Lucy grinned at Mikaela's comment about April Fools day. She took another bite of her choclate and chewed for a bit.

"That's good that you have older friends. It's good to have a variety," Lucy said wisely. She loved her friends--especially her "group".

"So, when's your birthday?" She asked Mikaela.

Mikaela nodded as Lucy told her about it being good having a variety of friends. She knew that.
"My Birthday is on December 16th," Mikaela said. Close to Christmas. She'd never liked having her birthday close to Christmas, but for the past few years, she'd really learned to like it.
"So who do you usually hang out with?" Mikaela asked and took a bite from the chocolate-frog.

Lucy finished up her chocolate frog and threw the wrapper on her dresser.

"Oooh, that means you get double the presents, right?!" She said with a giggle.

Then she answered Mikaela's next question.

"Well, there's Kat, she's my best friend. And then there's...." Here she coughed, and continued, "Rafe. He's also a...friend, " She managed to say, while hoping this was still true. She was trying not to think about him at the moment.

"The three of us usually hang out together a lot, but lately, we've been...busy I guess. So we don't hang out as much, but I still them separately. Who else...Oh yes, there's Alexandra and Lorcan, they're a couple, real cute. And Ella, Nate, Torin, Warren, and the list goes on and on..." Lucy said with a laugh. She had never stopped to think about how many friends she had. It was a comforting thought.

"Who do you hang out with?" She asked Mikaela in return, rummaging in her drawer yet again for some Bertie Bott's Every Flavor Jelly Beans. This girl LOVED candy and chocolate. Yet her teeth were perfect. Weird, right?

Mikaela smiled as Lucy listed all her friends. When she asked who she hung out with, she giggled.
"Not that many, I usually don't speak to people. But I'm really good friends with Bonnie Campbell in Ravenclaw. I havn't heard from her in a while though," Mikaela said. She knew that you didn't get any friends if you didn't make an effort. But lately she had been making an effort... At least a small one. Mikaela took another bite of her frog, which was melting in her hand.
"So are you interested in Quidditch?" Mikaela asked.

"Aha!" Lucy said as she extracted the jelly beans. She opened up the box, and offered them to Mikaela, who was still eating her frog.

"Sorry, I have candy and chocolate hidden everywhere!" She said with a laugh.

AS she took a handful of the beans and slowly picked out a green one to eat, she said, "Aw, why don't you talk to people? Everyone here is really nice!" Well, almost everyone.
"Well, I'm glad you have at least one close friend. And I think you're forgetting someone else..." Lucy said with a friendly smile.

"Me. I would love to be friends with you, and introduce you to my friends!" As she chewed the jelly bean, she almost choked.

"Ugh! It's grass flavored..." She said as she swallowed it with a look of disgust.

She picked out another bean, and answered Mikaela.

"Yeh, Quidditch is awesome!! Too bad we lost the championship...Maybe next year. I think I might try out for the team next year, actually. How about you? Do you play?" Lucy asked her, chewing an orange flavored jelly bean this time--Pumpkin Pasty. Finally, something good!

"I hope we'll win next year. I probably won't try out, since I'm not very physical," Mikaela giggled. "But I love watching the games. Do you know anyone who plays on the team?" Mikaela asked and glanced at Lucy.

Lucy picked put another bean out of the box, this one being red, and then put the box away. As she started chewing on it, her mouth was on fire--red peppers.

"Ahhh!" She screamed as she spit out the bean. It landed somewhere near the edge of her dresser.

"Ugh! Sorry about that, I'm not usually gross like that. It was burning my mouth," She said with a smile to Mikaela.

"Yeh, I really hope we win next year, we'll have to practice extra hard," Lucy said as she stretched her arms over her head.

"Yeh, I know a few people on the team. There's Rafe, who's the Keeper. And then there's Jack, who's the Captain as well as the Seeker. And then there's Josh, who's a Chaser," Lucy said as she counted those she knew off her fingers.

"And there's Ella, who plays Beater, and Chris, the Prefect, who plays Beater also. That's as much as I know. There are others, of course, but I don't know them personally. Oh, and I think Carter is a Reserve..." She said as she put her finger on her chin thoughtfully. Lucy then turned to Mikaela with a shrug, and smiled.

"So, what do you like to do in your spare time? Got any hobbies?" She asked her as she reached into her pillowcase and took out some parchment and a quill.

"Don't worry about it," Mikaela said and chuckled as Lucy spit the bean out. She took out one herself, a bright blue one and put in her mouth. She smiled to herself as it was actually blueberry.
"You know a lot of people," Mikaela said. "I don't really know what I like to do, I mean, there's swimming, reading, flute, archery," Mikaela said. Swimming was the only thing that she enjoyed doing physically. "I love watching muggle-movies too," She said. "But except for that, I don't do much. What about you?" She asked and took another bean out of the box, this time, a white one. She nibbled off a tiny piece. Milk.

Lucy watched Mikeala eat the blue jelly bean and smile--it must've been a good flavor.

She started doodling on her parchment, with no intentions to draw anything in particular.

"Yes, I suppose I do know a lot of people. But that's what happens when you've been here for 4 years!" She said as she stopped doodling and looked at her drawing. It had somehow turned into the letter R. Lucy made a face and then crumpled up the parchment. She grabbed a new piece and started doodling on it again.

"Swimming's awesome; I love to read anything; Never learned to play the flute, or any instrument for that matter; and I've never even thought about archery. That's pretty impressive! Now I wanna learn!" Lucy said as she gave Mikaela a light punch on the arm.

"Muggle movies, though--not so much. First of all, my favorite sport is running. It's what I live for. And then there's Quidditch. I also enjoy reading, like you. And then I love candy and junk food like this," Lucy said as she pointed to her now-half-empty box of Bertie Bott's.

"But I guess that's not really a hobby, is it? Unless you count hiding this stuff everywhere." She gave her a giggle and looked back to admire her work: She had drawn a boy who looked like he was in need of a shave, and had sharp eyes. His smile was contagious. Lucy looked at the drawing sadly befrore crumpling it up as well.

"And, I guess I love to draw," She said with a shrug.

"I've always liked swimming, weirdly, because I don't get tired while doing it. Running, on the other hand, makes me exhausted," Mikaela said and rolled her eyes. "I've played the flute for a while, 5 years, so I really love that. And archery, well, my mom got me into it, and now I love it!" Mikaela smiled. Her mom had gotten her into many things, but she'd loved archery the most.
"Junk-food?" Mikaela laughed. Her mom had kept her away from anything with too much calories in, but her dad wasn't so protective. Candy, she ate a lot of though.
"Who's that?" Mikaela pointed at the crumbleded paper.
