Chris walked into the warmly lit Gryffindor Common room and took a seat in his favorite comfy chair by the fire place. He was pretty tried but rally didn't feeel like going up the stairs and being all by himself up in the dorms. He wanted to socialize! So he looked around for someone to talk to.

After a long day of classes Herminny was beat but there was still all the homework to do. Uh. But it had to be done and one of the assignments even involved working with a partner which was another thing that was just aweful for her cause she could never find a partner. As she entered the Gryffindor common room she saw the Gryffindor prefect Chris who she had seen around since her 1st year and decided she might as well ask. He was a prefect after all so she hoped he would help her. She walked up to Chris and said, "Hey, could you help me with my Ancient Runes homework please?".

Then, when he was about to say 'You'r welcome' to the fourth year girl another boy spoke and Josh turned to him with a smirk. This was another older student, way older ''Wow, you are huge...you know what i mean'' he said ''Of course i'd enjoy being friends a lot, too unless you wear pink underwear'' roaring with laughter he quickly added ''Kidding of course i'm not interested in others' underwear. Hey! I think i have seen you before in the...'' he took a closer look ''...in the dormitory. You had a cool bouncing broom. I thought it'd be fun to try rodeo on it''[/QUOTE]
"Well, how about frilly undewear?" Jason asked the boy laughing. " I did not get your name" Jason said to the young boy." Yes, my broom "Wild Thing" can be crazy" Jason said to him. " My name is Jason Potter Weasley aand I would like to be friends with you, too" he told the younger boy. " Do you want to get some more muscles and in the right spot?" Jason asked the boy. Jason started to do jumping jacks, push ups, sit-ups.

"Yea I couldn't imagine being at a school with all girls. It just wouldn't be fun." She sighed. Demetria began laughing when he starting talking about the doxies and Slytherins kissing them. "Hehe be nice to the Slythies! They''re not all bad. My best friend is a Slytherin." she told him. "Last year we had to share a common room with the Slytherins bacause theirs got flooded. A lot of the school got flooded. I'm pretty sure everything up to the third floor or something was filled with water." That brought back scary memories of being in the Great Hall when it began filling up with water, and being in Arithmancy when water started seeping in out of no where. She shuddered a bit. "You wouldn't have striked me as the sarcastic type."

Just as she was about to say something else, an older.....and very large guy came up and asked if Demetria would be his friend. "Uhm....yea sure." she said. It wasn't very often when someone was so blunt about that kind of stuff. "Haven't I met you before?" she asked. "At a party I think....."

Lilly noticed chris and Herminny sitting and talking and decided to walk over. "hey guys, how are ya." she said plopping down in the empty seat next to Herminny.

" I am not sure if we met at a party" Jason told her. "We might be related as I recall" Jason Potter Weasley said to Dematria. "Are you related to my grandparents Ron and Hermoine( Grainger) Weasley, my cousin Harry Potter, or my parents Hugo Weasley and my mother Orinda Evans" Jason asked Demetria curiously. " I am honored to be yoru freind but more honored if you were part of my family" he told her."So again, I am Jason Potter Weasley and I think you might be a Weasley, right?" he asked her.

"Uh yea I'm a Weasley." How did he know she was a Weasley? She was pretty sure she didn't say her last name. "My mom is Ron Weasley's cousin's daughter." she explained. "I haven't actually met the famous Weasley's before but yea I'm a part of them." Demetria counted in her head. So far she had met three four people related to her in some way. Crazy.

As Demetria mentioned being nice to Slytherins and that not all of the snakes are bad, the memory of the scene Rose being sorted in Slytherin at the Sorting Ceremony filled his mind. Than he remembered that Slytherin 'monster' Angelina. They were a lot different Angelina being the most annoying and arrogant person like the Slytherins that unsuccesfully tried to annoy him by calling him a 'Gryffindork' and Rose being the most nice, considerate and lovable person. He really wished they could be in the same house but there was nothing to do. The Sorting Hat knew the best as his mom mentioned before. ''I have a...friend in Slytherin, too'' he spoke ''Best friend. Plus she always can stand my stupid and bad-tasted jokes. Really self sacrificing, she is''. o last year they shared the common room so the common room was more common. At fest he thought it'd be nice if that happened again but the image of 'water everywhere yuck!' ruined the vision.

''Frilly!'' he laughed ''Wicked! But i doubt they'd be so comfy to wear under school uniform'' he threw the package of chocolates at the fire than turned back to the huge boy ''I am Joshua Matt Carter, master of people who are bored of saying a different thing to call themselves a master of...no...only master of nothing this time. I feel tired so cannot thnik about it anyway nice to know ya Jason. May i call you Jason? Or big Jason or huuuge Jason?'' he smirked ''I like nicknames and yes i'd love to get on some muscles'' he added as he watched him in act.

Chris turned his gaze from the fire in the hearth as he heard a familiar voice speak to him. He turned and saw that it was Herminny. "Oh hey there Herminny how are you?" he asked with a grin, "Oh homework help? Sure I can help you, I haven't done mine yet either so you can be my partner too!" he laughed. He reached down into the borrowed school bag he had, and pulled out a set of runes he had made in an Ancient Runes lesson from a previous term. "So what do you want to know? What question should we ask the runes so I can give you your reading?" he said shaking up the bag of wooden runes excitedly. "After I finish your's, you can do mine!" he grinned.

After finishing his sentence to Herminny Chris looked up as another younger student walked over. "Oh hey Lilly, we are just working on our Ancient Runes homework, how are you?"

" This makes you my distant cousin" Jason told Demetria. " You know, you should come to my Quidditch Castle, it was originally Ron and Hermoine"s and they gave it to me" Jason told Demetria." So what is your favorite subject" he asked her.

" You have a great sense of humor" Jason told Joshua. " Big Jason sounds cool and I will call you cool Josh" Jason told him. Come over to my castle, I have a weight room" Jason told Joshua.

Herminny smiled up at Chris and said, "Sure, that sounds great. As for a question to ask mabe, "Will I know what I want to do for a career for the rest of my life a year from now?".

" I am dissapointed in Gryffindor in house points" Jason tells everyone in common room. "We are 300 points behind and before I left to help with help my cousin Excelscior Black, we have been first or fighting for first in house cup every year" Jason scolded everyone. " I even kept tabs while I was gone and we always were near the top" he said to all. " What happened to Gryffindor pride? " he told everyone. " My grandmother Hermoine( Grainger ) Weasley would be going crazy if she knew you were not even trying" Jason told the students.

"i am good and yourself?" lilly replied to his question.

Herminny butted in and said, "Thats good to hear and I'm dong quite well my self. So, have you done you're Arithmancy homework yet, if not you could join me and Chris, what do you say?".

Chris smiled back, "That's a good question." He reached into his bag a runes and radomly pulled one out.

"Ah," chris said thinking about the meaning of that particular rune. "Ok Herminny, this first rune I pulled out here is the one that will tell us about the past. So this one is the Graphorn or 2 rune. This suggests that in the past you have shown strength, and determination perhaps fortelling your future career in a field requiring these skills."

He reached into the bag again and pulled out a second rune.

Chris looked up and chuckled a bit. "Well this one seemed pretty obvious. This rune is to tell us about the present. The Quentped hints at a lack of foresight, which you have because you don't know what you want to do for a future career. Perhaps this third rune will help us more." he said his hand dipping back into the rune bag.



Chris looked at the runeand then spoke after some hard thinking. "So this rune tells of the future. So you said you want to know what your future career will be? Well this rune is called the Salamander, and it represents love, health, and restoration. Tell me have you ever had the desire to become a Healer?" he asked guessing that by the reading that sounded about right. When he was finished with him he looked down at his three rune spread and waited for Herminny's thoughts.



Chris looked up as he heard a student addressing the whole Common Room. He smiled slightly and then started to speak to the boy. "Hey Jason, I understand where you are coming from with the points issue, but you don't have to say you are dissappointed in them. Believe me I am a bit upset about our stadings but the best way to try and fix this is to encourage class attendanceand homework completion." he said patting the gryffindor on the back.

"I am actually quite well thank you." Chris replied to the very polite young Gryffindor.

"I did tell them the idea about going to classes and doing homework together" Jason told Chris. " By the way, I am fourth on the list of Gryffindor point getters and I came here late" Jason said to Chris. " Funny, all the other students in the top five are first years" Jason explained to Chris. Now the years I was here Anna Griengorth and Cale Newell, Gryffindor prefects were in the top two or three every year" Jason told Chris. " I talked to Professor DuMont and he is going to have a talk with us" Jason said to Chris.

"Mabe, though I have had more of a desire to something within making sure things are fair for all people like mabe something within the Wizengamot. I mean being a healer would be nice but for me my main goal is to do something with my life doing something to make sure things are fair and just.
Anyway lets get to you're three rune reading. What would you like to ask the runes Chris?"

Chris smiled and nodded as Herminny talked about her thoughts of a future career. "Oh well a Wizengamont position could apply to this reading too. You see as a member, you could work to restore health and conditions for people using your love of people and politics. The runes don't always set things in stone, remember that." he smiled.

Now it was his turn to think of something to ask. "Will I be prepared for my O.W.L.S this term?" he asked excitedly.

" Who wants to the Ancient Runes homwork with me?" Jason asks others in the room. He takes Chris's advice.

''Wow! You got a castle! Great'' so this boy might be another pure and rich family descended, way different than the others he knew of course. It was getting harder and harder to categorize people as he met more. ''About my sense of humour, well, thanks, most people find it annoying'' he laughed.

"Cool Joshua, you are great" Jason told him. "They just do not get your sense of humor" Jason said to Joshua." My castle has a lots of surprises" he told him. " We need to tell everyone that Professor DuMont is having a mandatory meeting for Gryffindor students on Oct. 4." Jason told everyone.

"Oh well thank you, Jason. I would love to come visit your castle one day." she smiled. She then turned her attention back to Josh. "See, Slytherin's arn't all bad. Granted there are some who are truly evil, but there are more good then bad."

Sky stopped dead. "Er, where is this meeting?"

"well i couldn't make it to the lesson i was feeling ill; however, i could sit and learn what i can from it. i am sure it would be great fun." lilly told her.

"i am glad to hear that. how is the homework coming along?" she asked. "what is the topic?" she continued her questioning.

Josh laughed and unwrapped another chocolate ''Thanks. I suppose, so. I really wonder what's your castle like, sure i'll visit you there when i can.'' he also presented him some of the chocolates ''Have some. And i've heard of the meeting, it's because of our house points, isn't it? The Slyties and Ravies have nearly twice of ours. It'll be really hard to catch up. The question is what Professor Dumont is planning. ''
Then turning back to Demetria he smirked again ''Well...she's more than only good i can tell''
