Chris headed into the Common Room. Sighhhh he didn't have his guitar with him and he really really wanted it. He wasn't jealous of Blake anymore. Nuuu not when he had Melinda. But he wanted to know everything was okay with her. Grahhhh! Confusing times again. He sighed and looked around the common room. There was a boy he didn't know anddd Chalice??? He smiled wide walked over to the two. "Hey!" He said now behind her still smiling.

"Huh?!" CHalice said when someone behind her said 'Hey!'. She turned around and found one of her very best friends, CHris Kaplan. "Chris! Hey!" Chalice said as she threw her arms around him and gave him a hug. She looked at his face and saw that something was wrong. "What's the matter? And don't try to pass it off as nothing, you know you can't lie to me." She said smiling, yet her concern was evident.

Chris laughed when Chalice hugged him. He was so getting use to people either jumping to hug him or just hugged his waist. He hugged her back and smiled til she asked what was wrong. Gosh how did alll these girl-all being his friends-always know when something was the matter. He sighed. "It's a long story." He said shaking his head. "You have really missed a lot in the past year. Or at least with me."

"Yeah, well I shouldn't be leaving for quite a long time." She said with a really big smile. "Hey, I got a couple of new guitars just before I came back. Haven't been used at all. What do you say I pop up to the dorm and grab em and we go to the lake, get them tuned and just jam." Chalice said. "Guitar always makes you feel better. This I know." she said. "You keep the guitar of your choice."

"Good cause I missed." Chris said. New guitar??? Hmmm she had him at new guitar the rest went throw one ear and out other."Sounds great. Maybe I can start explaining this long story of mine to you." He said smiling. Yes this was what he need. No worries no confusion. Maybe a little time away from Mel and Lena would do him some good.

"Great, I'll be right back!" Chalice said smiling as she turned to head up stairs. She dashed up to the dorm and carefully grabbed the new starburst Fender Stratacaster, with chrome detailing, and the ice blue Gibson Les Paul that had carbon detailing. Lastly she grabbed some extra strings and a pack of pics. Shoving the later two into her back pocket of the jeans she was wearing under her robe she ran carefully back down stairs. Once she met CHris she said, "Pick your poison." Holding out the two guitars and smiling she waited for him to pick.

Chris watched as Chalice came back down with two brillant guitars. He smiled wide but then but his lips. Huh time to pick. The Les Paul was nice but he always did have a thing for fenders. "I got to say I like the fender better." He said as he carefully took the guitar from her. He held it and started at the guitar. "You do have two very nice guitars here. I Les Paul's two but sometime they can get really heavey." He said and shrugged.

"Custom made to be light, both of them were. I know how guitars can get, if they are heavey it can suck to play." Chalice said smiling. "I must say, you picked the one I thought you would. I saw you eyeing my Fender that's similar to yours when you came by my house before my mom died. If you look, yours is customized for how you're built. But enough chatter, ready to head down?" she asked.

Anna walked into the room. She felt cold so she went and sat in an armchair in front of the fireplace. She liked the warmth of the flames. Today was a bit much for her and she was sleepy now. So she curled up on the armchair, closed her eyes and fell asleep.

Chris listened to Chalice talk about how the guitar was customized from him. He smiled wide and put his arm around her shoulder. "Yep I'm ready you are." He said still holding the guitar in his other hand. This this was going to be what Chris need just hanging out no worries no nothing. "Don't leave again alright?" He told her really meaning it.

Ellie threw her books aside, and slumped in an armchair, and put her head in her hands. Why was she struggling, she thought, when everyone else was having a good time?

Arithmancy? Ahhh, yes. LouAnn did remember seeing Alexandra in class this morning, come to think of it. "Yup, I remember seeing you there. You sat just a few rows away from me," she said. "I was sitting right next to the boy who tipped over in his chair." When the girl pulled out her Defense Against the Dark Arts textbook, LouAnn was reminded once again that she needed to get caught up on her reading. "I should be doing that, too," she mentioned, nodding towards the book. "I've just done my Arithmancy homework, though."

LouAnn just nodded once when Mikaela said she didn't have any siblings. She couldn't imagine life without Lucas, even if he was a big part of the reason she and her family were always on the run. "Sometimes I think it'd be fun to be an only child, but then there'd be no Lucas, and I can't imagine my life without him," she replied. "We're your typical siblings, so we have our fair share of little fights, but when it all comes down to it, I love him a lot."

LouAnn sighed a little when she was asked about just starting Hogwarts. "It's a long story, but what it amounts to is that we've moved around a lot, and when I say a lot, I really mean a lot. I've lived in five different countries in the past four or so years," she admitted. "So, I've been at different schools and most recently, I've been homeschooled."

Shaylee smiled atr Achilles and said, Oh nice to meet you. Where is James? She wondered where her old friend had gone, she hadn't seen him yet. She looked over at Cha and said, Hey Lovey! How was your summer?

having not seen any of her friends yet, lilly sat down and relaxed. she was full from the feast so she sat and thought.

The sound of the books woke Anna up. She looked at Ellie for a bit with a dazed look in her eyes. Then, when she fully woke up, she walked over to Ellie and just sat on the floor, staring at her. After a few minutes, she pet Ellie on the head. "What's wrong, nee-chan*?"

OOC: *nee-chan- Anna comes from Japan so she calls stranger (ie anyone she doesn't know the name of) "sister" (nee-chan or nee-sama if the girl is older) or "brother" (nii-chan or nii-sama).

Ellie looked Anna, who patted Ellie on the head. Nee-chan? What did that mean? Where was the girl from? She was kind, though. "Oh, I am just tired," she sighed.

Chalice smiled as Chris put his arm around her. She wondered if he knew she had a little thing for him. "Great, let's go." she said. With her guitar in her left hand and Chris's arm around her she walked over to the portrait hole and pushed the door open. "I won't, I won't leave again, I promise." Chalice said, she knew from the sound of Chris' voice that he really meant that he didn't want her to leave again. "Well atleast not until the end of the year, your out after this term. Imma have nobody to jam with. Maybe you'll come and hang out to play every now and then?"

Mikaela nodded.
"I've never moved, I've lived at the same place, well, not the same house, in my entire life. I've moved once to a different house, bigger." She said. She lived in a very big house, because her family was pretty wealthy. She rarely spoke about it though.
"Wanna go try out the corn maze later?" She asked, changing the subject.

Ribbit ribbit.

Jupiter, the frog that had stowed away in Jack's bag during class last term, was croaking loudly as Jack Fritzera walked into the common room. He was not at all pleased about being in Jack's bag all day, but it wasn't JACK'S fault that the little thing had seen a fly and hopped into the bag on accident, was it?

"Alright, alright, here you go, silly frog," he muttered, watching as the frog leapt out of his hand and onto the armrest of the nearby sofa. Sighing, he plopped down next to the frog and took out some of his Arithmancy homework, watching Jupiter out of the corner of his eye as he absentmindedly started doodling the Big Dipper constellation on the corner of his parchment.

Numbers hurt his head. As did letters that were really numbers in disguise. Blehhh.

Ainsley walked down the stairs from her dormroom, having deposited most of her books into her trunk after getting back from class. Reaching the bottom as she entered the actual common room, she wondered what she should do with her free time. The girl knowing she at least had to hand in her arithmacy homework sometime that day as the parchment lay safely within her robe pocket. That and go visit her owl but neither seemed right at the moment.

Lucy was sitting in the common room with her D.A.D.A. book, then shr saw a girl coming so she thought to say "Hello" as she didn't had much to do at that time. So she said "Hello I'm Lucy, and what's your name?".

Ainsley's attention was drawn out of her own mind as she heard someone say hello, turning her head to see the girl in question. "Hi," she greeted back with a polite smile as she closed the distance between them. "Nice to meet you...I'm Ainsley," she answered.

“Hi Ainsley, nice to meet you too. How’s your classes going I’ve just been from my D.A.D.A class it was great, how about you?” said Lucy to Ainsley as she came near her. Lucy was very happy to meet her, as she loved to make new friends.

"They are going well I suppose," Ainsley answered as she took a seat near the other girl. "Been to Arithmacy and others but its still pretty early in the term get a feeling for how they all will go the rest of the year," she mused.

“Oh they’ll be fine just relax you have to be smiling, everything will be fine as things get older. You do not have to worry about anything. Just have fun.” Said Lucy to Ainsley with a consoling smile on her face as she thought that she is a bit nervous about her classes.
