Professor Shackleton gestured for the Gryffindor and Slytherin players to approach the Gobstones court. She handed a red drawstring bag to a member of the Gryffindor team and a green bag to the Slytherin team. Each contained the appropriately colored gobstones. She then opened the drawstring on a separate grey bag and levitated a single stone into the center of the court. She announced, "Welcome Lions and Snakes to the championship match-up! I expect that before we begin you will have all made yourself familiar with the rules. You now have your Gobstones, so let's get started!"

Slytherin drops their stone into the circle with a backspin. It curves to the left and comes to rest just an inch from the Jack Stone. The green stone is closest to the Jack Stone. Slytherin wins the round and match in a shutout victory! Congratulations Snakes! You've won the title and fifty house points!
