Tammy just grinned. "Chris, how are you anyways. I would ahve asked earlier, but I sorta got like intruded with a bit of a Narky attitude. I apologise, Mr Prefect Big and Mighty." She grinned again, and laughed, ignoring Brody.

He smiled at Chris weakly as he finally noticed that he was there. Then he turned his gaze back to Brody and Tammy. "And what is this heated discussion about?" He was getting tired of all this fighting already.

Chris smiled at Tammy. "I well. School work is good, not much trouble around the castle. But someone did steal my side bag that i carry my books in." he said a bit annoyed. "But other than that im good you?" he asked his friend.

Tammy flushed red. "OOOOH. Well, I walked into this here pillar. Hurt my head, Chris and Brody stopped to see if I was okay, Brody was being narky. So I was being Narky back. And then I asked why she wasn't with you, because I thought maybe she would be, and she got all MEH on me. So i was only defending myself from her stupid attitude." HMPFH.

"I havent, had to deal with anything big either. Just little people being stupid. AWH, Did you find otu who took it?" Tammy asked quickly, christmas present coming. Late christmas present, because she wouldnt have time to get one now. "ER, I'm okay. Head hruts a bit."

Okay, he was confused now. This didn't seem to make a lot of sense to him. "First of all I'm not sure what narky means. He might be part English, but seeing as he never lived on this continent until he was 14 he wasn't sure what some of the expressions here meant. "And I'm not sure why she would get upset because you asked her why she wasn't with me."

He didn't sound like he was accusing anyone of anything. He was just confused. And he wasn't going to be taking sides on this one.

"Well even though its a little boring when nothing big comes up its still good that it doesn't happen. the last thing we want to deal with would be something big like a riot." he laughed.

When the subject changed back to his bag he sighed. "No actually I never saw it since. All I did was go to the Great Hall eat and when I went to get it from under the table it was gone." he shrugged. "I still don't have one yet. I haven't been able to buy a new one."

Tammy frowned, and ignored the questions. This wasn't fun. Brody was turning it BAAAAAD.

"You want one for christmas Chris?"

Chris looked at his friend and blinked. He hadn't expected that. He smiled brightly and laughed. "Sure Tammy, that's so nice of you! Thanks!" he grinned and then gave her a hug. "Now I need to think of something to get you."

Having spotted a bunch of his classmates leaving the library just as he was approaching the very same place (he was late cos he couldn't find it), Garret Crocker realised that he'd missed the study session.

Damn.

He'd needed it, too!

And so he waited outside, leaning on the corridor railing with his book-bag discarded on the floor by his feet, hoping to see somebody he was close enough to who would be willing to share notes with him. He really needed to get a compass or a map or something that would take him straight to his destination in the large castle. And maybe a watch.

Wand held loosely in one hand and book bag over one shoulder, Celandine pranced out of the library, pausing to tug a falling sock up over her knee.

Not that having long socks made her skirt any longer. Skirt? Belt? Tool for intentionally annoying Dom-in-ick Denton?

Cela straightened and fluffed her hair, looking from side to side and...

BEAM!

She spotted Garret and instead of running at him and jumping on him like she would have in the not too distant past, Celandine sauntered over and leaned on the railing right next to him.

"Metal-Mouth!" She greeted him, still enthusiastic but far more subdued than yesteryear.

"Twig-legs." He greeted in response, his distinctly metal-less grin showing his affection for the girl, "Never thought I'd be this happy to see you coming out of the library."

Hmmm how to segue into this? Garret had never been very skilled at the art of tact, but he wasn't sure if he should just blurt it out that he wanted her notes... although she was Cela, and he was Garret, so even if he did do just that... chances were she'd comply.

Celandine rolled her eyes and grinned playfully. She still hadn't really acknowledged that Garret no longer had braces. She poked her tongue out at him for the twig legs remark. That soooo wasn't true, she totally wouldn't show 'em off like she did if they were still twiggy.

"How about just happy to see me full stop?" Cela suggested, giving his shoulder a little push.

"Meh," he shrugged nonchalantly, bending over to pick up his bag before ambling off towards the staircase, "You c'min?" He figured getting some food in her and maybe buttering her up with tea-time desserts would make her more sympathetic to his cause.

That, and he was kind of hungry. ALL the time!

Meh.

Celandine mentally translated that to YEYCELAIIZSOOOHAPPTOSEEYOUUU and found it far more suitable. So she smiled at him and nodded in agreement, prancing along beside him.

"Where are we going? Taking the... staircase?"

"Uh-huh," he shot her a look out of the corner of his eyes, immediately suspicious when he heard the italics in her question, "I dunno 'bout you, but I'm going to the kitchens."

His sideways smile clearly meant that he intended that as an invitation. Not that Celandine had ever needed one.

Celandine let out an unladylike snort.

Of cooourse he was. She rested her hand... up... when had he gotten SO much taller?! She rested her hand on his shoulder and peeked back at him.

And then she took off running, heading for the kitchens.

He saw it in her eyes a split second before she did it, and his answering grin came swiftly. It was a good thing he carried so little in his book bag or else he'd have bruises up and down his side and back from the knocking around it did as he took off after Cela.

There was no way he was letting her win a race. NOPE. He launched himself over the side of the staircase railing just as a moving staircase creaked slowly under them, "HAHA!"

Hugging Chris, Tammy smiled, "NOOOO BIGGGGEHHHH."

Tammy grinned, "OOOOH, I GET A PRESENT? NOWAIIIII!" She freaked, hugging Chris again. AWHHHHH. She was gonna miss him. ALOORT. Not as much as Princess and Shana. But she would miss him. He was normal.

CHris laughed as Tammy hugged him again. "Yes, of couse you get a present too! What kind of a friend would I be?" he grinned. "So what would you like? No limit!" he smiled.

Giggling Tammy shrugged. Well there was, new shoes. Heeled shoes, she needed a new uniform skirt. Because that was tacky. OOOH AND A HAIR CUT. But the thing she most wanted was what she was gonna ask for. It wasn't pushing it, and it wasn't gonna happen, but it was nice to know that she had asked. Nice to ask.

Quickly turning her excited voice into a quieter one, that could still be heard, she asked. "A couple more years here maybe.., ORRRRR, A NEW PAIR OF SHOOOOOEEEES."

Tammy was cracking Chris up! She was so excited that Chris was afraid of how she willact when he actually gives her the present! He slowly pulled his camera from Professor Dumont, out of the folds of his robes and snapped a picture of her while she was thinking of the gift she wanted. He laughed when the flash went off.

"Shoes? You sure? Ok shoes it is!" he grinned.

Tammy giggled, and clapped childishly at the fact Chris had taken a photo of her and she grinned finally nodding, acceptiong he didnt want to comment on her first request. SHOOOES.

"HEELED SHOOOEESIIEEEEES" Tammy giggled.

Chris grinned brightly. "Obviously someone is happy!" he chuckled.

He was really glad he had met Tammy. She was a great fellow Prefect and an awesome friend. He would be sad to see her go. He shook his head and came back to the present. "Ok Heeled shoes? Hmm... looks like I will have to be writing home to mom." he laughed. "She loves shoes too. Any particular brad or what not." he wasn't a shoe expert.

Okay, he was getting frustrated now. Brody wasn't speaking and neither was Tammy. "Tammy, seriously why were you fighting with Brody? Tell me. Please." It had to be more than just the fact that he hadn't been with Brody.

Tammy grinned. "SHOE LOVER? OMGSHHHH, Chrisss. I gotsta meet this mother of yours. We could be LAIK best buds!" She was joking of course, but it was funny. "Brand, nopppeeeeee. Something thats not greeen or blue.. Mebbe yellow, because I LOVE THAT COLOURRRR."

GIGGLE.

Tammy frowned, and turned back to Torin, standing up now and sighed. "I- UH. She was being all iffy with me, and being moody like she owns the FLAMIN place. AND SHE DOESN'T. I didn't want to be mean, but she was being all LADEEDAAAAA with me and I didnt LAIK ittttt." Tammy frowned again. She was gonna cry. POUT.
