"Oh, ok. Will if I understand this 'at all' you have to ask me something and then I tell you all about what I think I should know." Kay said not really sure about what she was doing.
'I don't what to look stupid in front of Marie of all people.' Kay thought. "So ask away." Kay said looking at Marie and hoping the Professor would give out more marshmallows.

"Hmmm," Winnie murmured, shifting in her seat uncomfortably. "Why don't we start with a question, yeah, and see where that takes us. Maybe it's the sort of thing you've got to do to pick up on it, you know?" Winnie studied Kiri's delicate features, currently tense with confusion. "Do you want to go first?"

"Okay, so if we are suppose to ask the question we wrote on our parchment then my question was 'Will I pass potions class this term'?" Marie had no clue how Kay was going to know the answer to that one. If Marie didn't know then how could someone else know? "So read away, what do you see for me?" 'Please do not say more dirty cauldrons' Marie thought as she remembered the first potions class.

"Hah!" Kiri laughed softly. "Is that the first question? Mmm..." She wriggled around in an exaggerated fashion, nearly slipping of the boulder she'd been sitting on in the process. "I guess you could tell by my movements that I'm uncomfortable and don't really want to be the first one, right?"

She chortled to herself for a few more moments, then calmed down. "Alright, um..." She tried to think of something that would make a good subject for cold reading. Nothing too personal or embarrassing (or both), but nothing that was too far out for Winnie, either. Something school-related was boring. And Raiden was off-limits, hidden behind the mental equivalent of a high wall and a moat full of crocodiles.
Then Kiri remembered the Quidditch match, and how much fun she'd had despite being generally not very good at sports or very interested in Quidditch. Maybe Winnie would be able to figure out if Kiri should try out for the team next term or something like that.

"Alright," Kiri said again. "Well, I played in the Slytherin-Ravenclaw Quidditch match a few weeks ago. Just as a substitute, right? I hadn't really volunteered or anything, but no one else was available really, so I decided to give it a go. And survive. Uhh... Anyway, we lost the game, but I did pretty well, I think, and I couldn't believe how much fun I had!" She waved her hands about wildly, eyes gleaming. (Not having been unseated by a Bludger probably had something to do with it, too.) "The crowd was cheering, and I scored two goals, and I think my housemates were pleased, and... Kind of difficult to explain. Do you play Quidditch?" she added. "Anyway, I'm just kind of wondering if I should think about doing Quidditch properly next term. I'd need a broom and so on, I dunno if I want to spend so much money on that. Do you think it's a good idea?"

At first place he looked around and tried cheat on other students but no one seemed to do any real action about it so he turned back to Rose blinking with empty eyes as he thought over what to do. Professor Kapoor only said they should look on the log, the figures on it and use a little bit of body language to interpret. Body language part here was quite easy for him and the person before him, Rose, was not a stranger anyway. ''Okay let's try this then.'' he said and smiled at Rose ''Ask a question and pull out a log. Then shall tell you the answer''

Kay looked at Marie with a wicked smile on her face. "I could so easily say you don't after the way you talked to the Professor." Kay said laughing. Kay looked into the fire and dreamed of marchmallows. "Marie I see that you really love Potions class and what to pass. The Professor in that class as really taken a liking to you. Even if he doesn't show it. I really believe that you will pass your favorite class." Kay said as she looked back to Marie. She wasn't even sure any of it would happen, but that was what a cold read was right?

"Erm okay, um, Will I pass Ancient Runes this semester? I'm asking this cause it's been one of my toughest subjects cause there are times when I can barely understand it."

Nataly shook Fyo's hand back, frowning a little less than before. "I'm Nataly." she introduced herself to Fyo. "Third year, Slytherin."

A question? What should I ask? she wondered, and the answer came to her almost immediately - WOLF. But Fyo wasn't a member, and she didn't know if she could trust him. Besids - most of the wolf-lovers were Gryffindor. Revolting.
That warm euphoric feeling overtook her again, making her feel much better. Nataly felt as if she was flying over the rainbow, surrounded by adorable smexy white ferrets. She smiled dreamily, a distant look on her face.
"First tell me your opinion about werewolves." she said cheerfuly, smiling at him with a distant charming(?) smile.

LouAnn was surprised at how soon she was able to come up with a partner. Then again, with as many students Hogwarts had within its walls, it usually wasn't all that difficult to find someone to work with. LouAnn smiled in reply to Fred's wink then nodded her head. Of course she'd partner up with him. She'd be able to get her partner activity done, plus she'd get to meet another Gryffindor she had yet to introduce herself to.

"Oh, hey, Fred! I'm LouAnn Purple. Thanks for partnering up with me," she replied. Earlier in class, she'd asked the fire a question about possibly murdering Abby and Kyle. She definitely didn't want to ask Fred that very same question, though. He'd think she was mental! It'd probably be better if he went first. "How about you go first? What question do you have for me?" she asked.

"Um I don't know what to ask, mabe something general. Am I gonna pass my Owls?"

"Ask a question and pull out a log? Are you sure?" Evelyn asked nervously, looking around. She wanted to do this right and not get it wrong... "Umm, question. Okay. How 'bout... Will I get to see my Uncle again?" Smiling, since it was a safe enough question, she looked down at her drawing covered parchment, writing down her question, before staring into the fire. "Ummm...pull out a log?" She had no clue if she was supposed to do that.

OHWHEE. Paartna!

Smiling up at the gal, Livvy shook the girl's hand and then released the grip, letting her hand fall back to her side as she waved also with her other hand. "Hi Miranda! Nice to meetcha too!" she said, grinning. Even though Livvy noticed the Hufflepuff badge and the colors, she made sure that her prejudice towards the house wouldn't affect her judgment nor behavior towards the poor innocent girl who couldn't help what house she was sorted into.

"Ummm... you can start," Livvy said, smiling cheekily. Ha. Her start first?! NO WAY.

''To be honest, no i'm not sure. But at least we are trying and there's nothing else to do'' Josh replied her and quickly added ''We would not get in trouble for trying to figure out the class, would be?'' he started to laugh but smile faded away when she said her question. 'Her uncle?! But i know nothing about her uncle!' How was he going to interpret about something he know nothing with the help of a log he did not know but he had to try his chance anyway. It was Rose noone else and if he turned out to be a total fail it'd be okay with her. He had nothing to hide from her. Nevertheless he wanted to try his chance on the question as he answered her next question. ''We need a burned log for reading. So where can we get one if you dont pull it out? And ahem is there a possibility you can chance your question. It's okay with me but i thought you might want to learn about more interesting things concerning your surroundings''

"That's true." Giving Josh a small smile, she played with the tip of her quill and continued to stare at the fire until he started speaking again...

Wait, change her question? Something more interesting? Concerning her surroundings? Frowning, she turned to look at him. Her uncle should be interesting enough! And she really did want to know if she would ever see him again since she missed him greatly. Opening her mouth and closing it a couple times, she had to hold back any comment on this since it would probably just end up coming out badly. "Umm...alright?"

Thinking of something else, 'Concerning my surroudings...*sort*', Evelyn leaned back and looked up at the sky. Well, she could always ask something that had to do with Josh, but she would be quite embarrassed if she did that. So, thinking quickly, she thought of a question that basically had her entire life in it. Good enough. "Will my parents eventually accept who I am? And just use that one." she pointed to the closest burning log. Well, it was the one she set on fire, so hopefully it would work.

Her smile was still in place as the girl spoke. And she was ALSO a WAVER! Yay!

Oh and Miranda was going to start...Well. Okay.
"Allright!" Miranda said more confident than she felt and sat down cross legged on the ground again. Picking up her notebook and quill, she squinted into the fire for a moment before asking.

"Wait...does this mean I ask you something or you ask me? Or do we even ask eachother? Am I supposed to ask something to the log and then you see what it looks like? Or is it the other way around..." Gosh darnit, this was WAY harder than she thought.

Looking around, she saw others were asking questions about themselves. So, yeah, let's try that.
"Anyways...Well. Um... Will I become Quidditch captain one day?"

She grimaced, looking at Livvy. REALLY not knowing what to do here.

Kat looked around to see what others were doing. " Ok so if I understand one of us has to ask a question and the other has to interpret it and give the other an answer" Kat said to Carter. " I'll ask a question first if you want" Kat said

'Family?' *frown* Okay that was what she wanted to learn and he had no right to stick his nose in. Family was much more important than her surroundings naturally. Ensuring himself to make this thing quite enjoyable when it was his turn to ask he hd a grab on the the log she pointed and pulled it out. There was a little flame on it and he smiled shaking the log harsly to put it out. ''This is a cold reading anyway so this should be gone'' when he stopped the flame was gone and he put the log before him to check on its surface for a clue for Rose's question. 'As if that was pos-..' his thoughts even got interrupted when he spotted some little embers move on the bark. Many of them dissappeared when they met a rather thick bark, one continued on it than dissappeared at the other side. 'C'mon boy! You can make something out this! You can! You can!' ''Hmmm'' hand on chin he examined the log closer and closer, poked the thick bark some and looked back at into Rose's hazel eyes with a warm smile on his lips then spoke in a common conversational voice ''I see there will be major issues on that which will cause stress on you. That's the difficulties on the thick bark see? It means something hard to pass. But hopefully you will manage out this but not fully really. They'll accept you but won't completely appreciate it.'' 'Haha! Congrats boy! You are the master of nonsense blabbing'

Marie listened to Kay but was in no way convinced of what she was hearing. "Ummm, yeah, right, that professor hates me" she said thinking about that nasty, disgusting cauldron he made her clean.
Not sure they were doing this the correct way Marie asked the professor for his help. "Professor, are we doing this right?" This class was not one of her favorites because she really didn't understand it all that much and she wanted to make sure she really knew what she was doing before Kay asked her question.

ALexa simply nodded her head and peered into the logs. After a moment she asked the girl, "Umm, do you know what we are supposed to do next? Maybe if you do I can ask you a question and I can watch you do it. What do you think." Alexa twirled a strand of hair around her index finger and bit her lip.

Kay was a little unhappy that Marie didn't think she knew what she was doing. "Marie, Do you want to hear my question or wait for the Professor?" Kay asked hoping that Marie would want to wait. That way Kay could think of a new one. She didn't want to use the question about her parents.

"Nice to meet you, Nataly," Fyo said, with one of his small but warm smiles. He waited for her to continue to speak, perhaps ask him a question, but when he glanced up at her again, he realized that her eyes had... sort of glazed over. Then she asked a question that ... kind of stunned him. Because, you know, he had not been expecting it.

"Werewolves?" he asked, a little cautiously. There had been PLENTTYYAAA debate about it, after that incident last term, and he was not sure he wanted to discuss it. But, oh well, he could always give an opinion, could he not? "They're fine," he said, with a nod. "I know there have been some, in history, that I would rather not know - or be in range of - but a lot of them are good, even amazing people. Like Professor Lupa."

Yupp, that sounded right enough.

Oh wheee.

Livvy set her book bag and books down on the ground, right next to her, and plopped down on the ground across from Miranda. She still wasn't sure how exactly they were doing this or what exactly they were doing... but Livvy was sure they'd figure it out sure enough. Hopefully. They'd just ask Professor Kapoor if they didn't.

Blink. Blink. ERRRMM. How was she supposed to know this? Livvy didn't answer. Instead, she just shrugged and smiled a little unknowing smile. Oh wellz.

"OHWAIT!" Livvy bursted out suddenly. "I think I'm supposed to hold and look at your hands," she said, grinning sheepishly as she took the girl's hands into hers.

Though. Honestly. Livvy didn't see how this would work. All of them already knew that no one knew much about each other and that they were all just fibbing. Was there even a point? Ehhhhh.... Livvy wasn't going to question Professor Kapoor's ways. He was a... brilliant... man.

... "No. Wait. Nevermind. Don't listen to me. Brain dead," she said, laughing s she let go of Miranda's hands. For some reason... she had been thinking they were doing palm reading. Silly her. She was going to freak the poor gal out. Sighing, Livvy turned her glance towards the fire that was already poured out and took the question that Miranda asked in consideration. She squinted and looked at the fire in concentration. "I see determination and hard work. Weariness might get in the way. Your personal life... your personal life..." EEP. What about her personal life?

"Your personal life will be affected by the days to come." Juicy. "All the decisions you make will create who you are and your successes. I see... I see..." Pfft. She didn't see anything. "I see achievement and happiness. Yet I also see sadness and loneliness. These are different paths that you can choose to take. One which will lead you to your main goal. Perseverance will take you far."

Annnndd... she was done.

"Sure,if thats what you want, I've read about this but I'm still confused, I'll try. So what question would you like to ask me Alexa?"

Alexa thought for a moment and then replied, "Will I make it through the semester without getting a detention?" She certainly hoped the answer was yes.

Hmm, he had no idea what he was doing was he? Evelyn nodded and giggled though at his try. She already knew the answer to her own question though... her parents would most likely be kicking her off the family tree sometime soon if she didn't shape up, which she likely will not be doing. "I guess I can live with that." she said, but some part of her wished that what Josh was saying would come true. She really did want to feel part of a family again and not just...there. Or at least somewhat.

Clearing her throat, she wrote random words down under the scribbled out question. Reeeaaally random words like tree, potions, rose, broomstick, wand...randomness. But hey, she was slightly bored. Divination definitely wasn't one of her favorite subjects. "Okay." Evelyn said, laying her quill down and looking at Josh again, a small smile playing on her lips. "So...you ask me a question now?" She was slightly curious as to what it might be.
