As you enter into the grounds, you see the area set up for Divination. Or possibly a marshmallow roast, because there are four areas of piled logs and sticks encircled with fist-sized stones as if in preparation for a campfire. Immediately around that there are stone seats for the students to sit in.
Standing in front of a larger pile of logs and sticks is Professor Kapoor. With his layered outer-robes and long lavender scarf billowing in the early spring gust, he looked a bit like a well-bundled snowman.
" Good afternoon, students! Welcome to today's Divination lesson. Please take a seat with your fellow housemates. Groundskeeper Masterson will be joining us shortly." He informed them. Class Progression: |

Josh laughed loudly relieving ''Okay, okay no problem. I did the same thing too. And i'm more an idiot that i even just slipped out what i bought for you. It is not a surprise anymore'' And just a stupid little dragon toy was not much of a surprise or a satisfying gift for a girl. ''Well i'm horrible when it comes to choosing something for someone well especially girls. I can never guess what you'd like. At first i thought of buying something more girly but i felt like buying that dragon instead when i saw it.'' Seriously he was just into the shop desperate with not knowing what to buy and it was there calling him to buy itself. So he obeyed. ''I hope you'll like it anyway'' And both forgot giving the christmas presents which gave him an idea ''Hey!'' he said feeling like illuminated at that very moment so spoke with a matching expression ''Maybe that seperating embers you have seen on the log meant this. That both forgot to give the presents'' then he started to laugh at his own joke till he realised what he had said also meant : with this sentence he had already officially gave out that he was talking about them when asking the question. ''Oppp...'' he turned away and started to watch the sky. He was never going to learn to think before act.

''Oppp...'' he turned away and started to watch the sky. He was never going to learn to think before act. "You aren't an idiot, and seriously, anything dragon is like the perfect gift for me." Which was true, but she was still seriously confused on whether he was talking about some little stuffed animal, or a real one. 'Probably the stuffed animal. Cute.' She smiled and nudged him slightly. "I don't think I'll like it. I bet I'll love it instead." Oh merlin, did she really just say that?
Clearing her throat and laughing nervously, her gaze snapped back to him when he spoke again. What...? She watched as he turned away, and pretty much looking everywhere but her. Evelyn sighed and looked down at her lap. She liked Josh, that was not a secret anymore and she stopped lying to herself. And apparently, he liked her too. But she wasn't quite ready for anything to really...happen. She liked where they were now at the moment, and she was comfortable with it. She didn't want to change this juuuust yet.
Thinking of some way where she could maybe lighten the tense atmosphere, and waiting for class to end or continue, she took out another clean parchment and flicked her wand at it. Another spell that her Uncle taught her. Immediately, the parchment folded itself, replicating itself to match the picture in her mind. Once it was fully finished, she directed it and it flew over and hovered in front of Josh's line of vision. A small dragon. And with another flick of her wand, it turned to glowing bright red and yellow colors, making her giggle slightly. She never got tired of that charm for some reason. |

"Alright students!" Kapoors booming voice once more from the center pit as he addressed the class. "I think you've all got the hang of this cold readings thing from the looks of it. Conversation is key in getting to know the questioner and his or her state of mind. Indeed it can be one of the most revealing steps in cold reading that you take. As can the studying of expression and body language." Kapoor looked to the ground and picked up a dirty and thin twig of willow and began to fire it up in a nearby lite pit.
"Another handy trick that I've observed some of you employing is looking into the log and searching for ideas. Very clever! Each of you who participated shall get three house points for your houses. Excellent work, students! Well done!" He congratulated them as he pulled the well charred twig out of the flames and took out a sheet of parchment and began to inscribe upon it.
"We're just about through here, but before we're out, I want you all to safely extinguish your flames and thank Mr. Masterson for letting us use the grounds for our divination lesson." He spoke as he looked down at the parchment. "And, when you're ready, come on up and used a duplicating charm to take a copy of the homework assignment. You're to take the illustrations of your flames you did today in class and write a few sentences describing what you saw in the lit log. Also, list at least one other form of divinatory scrying. The assignment must be turned in by the 27th. So you've only got 5 days." Finishing writing up the homework assignment, he shook off the excess charcoal dust. "Class dismissed!"

Kay looked at Marie and sighed. Marie didn't really get into this assignment and they really didn't talk much. Kay started to clean up her area and put out her fire. She walked up to the Professor and copied the homework and than smiled at the Professor. "Thanks Professor." Kay said and walked back to get the rest of her things. Kay turn to find the groundkeeper. "Thanks." She called out to him and turned to walk back to the castle. "Are you coming Marie?" Kay called to her friend.

Miranda's head turned to the voice of Kapoor and then listened to what he was saying. Yay three points! This had been a rather tricky lesson, she had noticed that most students - like herself - were mostly improvising and not really sure if they should've asked a question or BE asked one. Snort. Ah well, it turned out great in the end.
So, safely extinguish the flames. Right. Should I shower it with water...or maybe kick dirt on it...orrr stamp the logs? She stood up and began to walk around the fire to see where to begin. Not that it mattered. Right, again. "Aguamenti!" Miranda said firmly but in a sort of whisper, and watched as water spluttered out from her wand. And then no more. Well...she hadn't actually learned that spell well yet.
Miranda looked at Livvy, "Do you mind? I'm not sure what to do here..." she was a sixth year, and knew more stuff. Probably.
After that, Miranda went over and... duplicate? How in the world of chocolate frogs did you do that?
Ugh, nevermind, she'd have to copy the homework off someone later. "Thankyou for the candy Professor!" Miranda grinned, and then "Oh yes, and for teaching us stuff." Snort.
And with that, she walked off into the castle.

WHAT? Over already?
Good. Livvy didn't like this lesson one bit. It was grueling and horrible to have your fortune told. Especially when it was by someone younger than you. Who knew if what they were saying was correct? Livvy surely didn't! And plus... this was a class on cold readings. Who was to say that any of the things that was escaping the reader's lips, was even true? BLECHETY BLECH BLECH.
Livvy munched on her chocolate frog for a moment before fully processing what the professor had said. She didn't move. Instead, her eyes wandered and followed Miranda as the Hufflepuff girl went over to the log and... well.. tried to extinguish the fire.
....
Nodding her head, Livvy just smiled and sat there for another moment or two as the girl then left her. Hufflepuffs. They came and go. They actually weren't that bad. She just didn't like the ones that played Quidditch. They were just uncool. Though... that was sort of incorrect but she didn't care. Did Torin play Quidditch? If he did. He was uncool too. Though that was another highly incorrect statement.
Sighing, Livvy took out her wand from her robes and lazily pointed it at the fire. "Aquamenti," she said in a rather bored tone, and a jet of water immediately shot out from the end of the wand and into the fire, extinguishing it so suddenly. Mhhmmm...
She then stood up and gathered her books and parchment and stuffed it into her book bag. The Ravenclaw swished her wand lazily at the homework and made a duplicate of it, which she stuffed into her bag also. "Bye Professor Kapoor. Have a wonderful evening. Thank you Mr. Masterson for letting us have a lesson on the grounds," Livvy said, smiling at both of them and waving at them.
And with that, the short sixth year marched on over towards the castle.
