Bella heard Lyra cough.Looking up at Lyra she said
um...i dont know Professor Lawson had told us to practice disarming spell but i guess we can try something that cant be way too harmful Bella said
um...what about Locomotor Mortis that wouldnt be harmful just it will bind our legs together right? Bella asked slightly unaware whether performing another spell without professor's permission was a mistake or not

Emiliano turned around when hearing his name. He knew that voice, it was Kiri's. He grinned, as she asked him to be his partner, nodded to her and shifted his smile as the poke into his stomach came. "Ow, just be careful..." He said with a wide smile, as he took out his wand out of the arm holster and handed it to her. "And I hope with all my heart, that your wand doesn't break either..." Em teased her.

"What type of wand do you use...??" He asked, feeling strange as he let go of his wand, like if he had lost something. "Mine is cherry wand, twelve inches...with a unicorn hair core..." Em explained to her.

Trusting was the only thing needed between them at the moment, and Emiliano had no problem with that when being around Kiri, so he was glad they were partners for that class. He was sure nothing wrong could ever happen...

"Er... Paulownia with a dragon heartstring core. I think it's twelve inches as well," said Kiri, taking Emiliano's wand and hold it against her own. They were nearly identical in length. "Close enough," she added with a laugh. "Here."

She handed Emiliano her wand and twirled his through her fingers experimentally. The fact that they were similarly long helped a bit, but it still felt very strange to carry another person's wand. Kiri couldn't remember ever using someone else's wand before. She had her own nearby at most times, and if she didn't, she rather tried her luck without magic than borrowing someone else's wand. It just didn't feel right. But now she wondered how much of that feeling was really warranted.
Professor Lawson had sounded robustly affirmative of the ability of everyone to use wands that didn't belong to them. Maybe it was all just superstition.

"Alright, er... Disarming spells first?" asked Kiri uncertainly. "Let's spread out a bit, and then you can give it go?" She turned around and put a few metres of distance between herself and Emiliano. Then she faced him again, waiting for him to try the spell with her wand.

Carter smiled. "That was a little weird attacking my own wand." he said. He went and got it. He mumbled an apology to it and then gave it back to Mina. "You're turn." he said going back into position and readying himself. "Whenever you're ready." he called out to her.

Great! Same lenght, though different consistance, wood of which were made. Emiliano felt weird holding her wand, twirling situation inside his head and stomach began to happen. But he was ready...and he needed to remember each wand core now, he had learned it, sometime in Herbology and Care of Magical Creatures class altogether. Maybe he'd read about that sometime later. "Could you pronounce that again?" Em asked, joking. He had never heard about that type of wood. o_o Yet it must have been some sort of material that was not common in the area.

"Yes, disarming one..." He assured, walking away from Kiri and getting ready to cast the spell. "You should have been first, I mean...ladies first, but...." He raised his eyebrows this time, it was not for being a gentleman at this time..."Expelliarmus..." He casted, pointing towards his own wand, in Kiri's hand. Obviously, magic was transmitted along his arm and through Kiri's wand, but the spell didn't hit his wand and ended up going against a chair, making it fly from the impact. More embarrassing this class could ever be to him? Nope...

He still remembered being distrated...last term.

"Paulownia," Kiri called through the room. "It's some kind of Asian tree, I think. My father's wand is made out of it as well. Anyway..." She waited for Emiliano to cast the disarming spell, holding his wand loosely by her side.

Superstition or not, seeing her own wand pointed at her made her more than just a little uncomfortable. Assuming what she'd read about wandlore was true, a witch's or wizard's wand was more than just a tool. It really resonated with the person on a deeper level. And even though she knew that Emiliano was not going to hurt her (no one would in this class), she was still disconcerted by the simple fact that he was going to use her wand against her.

But apparently, Emiliano didn't feel a great deal better about the situation. His spell soared straight past Kiri who had willed herself to stand still and not dive aside, and a loud wooden clatter came from behind her. She whirled around quickly to see a chair bouncing through the room.
A little anxious, she turned around. If Emiliano, a seventh-year close to graduation, couldn't handle another person's wand, why did she expect that she would be able to? Or maybe her wand just wasn't compatible with anyone but herself...

"You almost got it!" she called out to Emiliano encouragingly. "Want to try again?" But he didn't seem to be inclined to do so. So it would be her turn. Kiri twirled Emiliano's wand through her fingers. Was it her imagination, or did it feel much clumsier and heavier than her own wand?
She was thinking about this too much! Quickly, she straightened out her arm, pointing it right at her wand in Emiliano's hand, and yelled, "Expelliarmus!"

Lyra nodded her head in agreement after hearing Bella's speech. "Locomotor Mortis sounds good" she said and looked at Professor Lawson for a second before turning back to Bella again. It wouldn't hurt anyone if they practised further right?

Feeling a bit uncomfortable because Lyra wasn't exactly a rule breaker and the last time she had accidentally broken the rules she had lost points for Slytherin. With a smill sigh, Lyra reminded herself that she was a Slytherin and wasn't even suppose to care about rules.

She nodded ones and stood in a duel possition, her wand ...edit.. Bella's wand in her hand and waved it in the way they had practised the spell a few lessons ago. "Locomotor Mortis" she said in a whisper so that others would hear it, specially Professor Lawson because they weren't sure if they could continue. And as expected, nothing happened. She tried again and swiftly moved Bella's wand whispering "Locomotor Mortis" again nothing happened to Bella. Maybe it was too advanced to use this spell with another wand. Even when they had practised the spell with their own precious wands, Lyra couldn't do it. "Lets just wait for further instructions"

"Ow..." Emiliiano whisipered up, as the spell hit his hand. It was sort of painful, yet coping. "You almost made it!!" He called up to Kiri, stretching his hand and trying not to cry. For goodness sake, he was an 18 year old!!! How could he missed the spell towards Kiri? Maybe it was because they were different, he thought as reminding himself of Kiri's explanation about her wand. "I gotta tell you, this is harder than ever. I never handled another person's wand before, it feels very odd.." and painful, He thought to himself.

"My turn, I guess..." Em shrugged, stretching his hand once again and preparing mentally to try the spell against Kiri once again. "Expelliarmus!" He casted, this time it had worked, though twistingly and his target, the wand was flying out of the girl's hand. He so hoped Kiri would catch his wand...

Bella watched intently as Lyra tried to do some other spell but it didnt work.she simply nodded and waited for Professor lawson to give them the further instructions

OVER. Let it be OVER. She didn't want to kill Jack. She didn't want him to die. Even though a part of him wanted him to die because he was Gryffindor, but that was beside the point. Livvy clenched her fist tightly as her other hand held onto Jack's wand firmly. Her eyes were closed shut, tightly, afraid of what she would see after she opened them. Please let him be okay... please let him be okay, Livvy prayed in her mind.

She didn't know when she would open her eyes. She didn't know how it was going to happen. But no way was she, Olivia Zhang, going to open up her eyes until there was some sign that Jack was still among the living. And sure enough, she got that sign when Jack uttered a 'wow'.

Her eyes flitting open, Livvy looked straight forward at Jack and her lips broke into a grin. She whooped, pumped her fists into the air, and danced. "Jack! You're alive! I did it! I didn't kill you!" she yelled out triumphantly. It was definitely something to be happy over. Like she had said before, she didn't want to be the one to explain to Reese why her boyfriend was in the Hospital Wing. Or. Just. Simply not. There.

Oop. Never mind. Reese would be able to see it for herself. Livvy couldn't decide whether or not that was a good or bad thing though. "Oh hi, Reese! Of course you can join!" she said, cheerfully.

But her cheerful bravado quickly faded when Livvy's eyes caught Jack raising his her wand at her. Oh great. If she died... she'd be killed by her own and. The irony. She held Jack's wand down at her side and tried her best not to lift it up and put up a shielding charm to save herself. NO LIVVY NO. ARRGGH.

Eyes wide open, Livvy stared straight forward at Jack as she waited for him to start. Pleasedon'tkillme. Pleasedon'tkillme. Pleasedon'tkillme. EEEP. She flinched when Jack said the incantation and couldn't help but hold her wand up in the air to shield her face. Which... probably made things easier. It seemed like the magic was going to be directed right at her face and she just saved herself from a scarring.

The wand flew out of Livvy's hand and she blew out a sigh of relief. Close call. She walked over and bent down to pick up Jack's wand. She walked back over to the Gryffindor boy and handed it over to him. All the while, her head was turned towards Reese. "Hey Reese. Do you wanna swap wands with me first? And then swap wands with Jack?"

Kiri's wand clattered to the floor. She was a little confused at first. Expelliarmus was supposed to make the wand fly towards the person who'd cast the spell, so why hadn't it... worked... She noticed the strained expression on Emiliano's face. His hand was rather red as well. Had she hurt him? "Oh no!" she said loudly. "Sorry! I'm sorry! I didn't mean to..."

She wanted to run over to him to see if he was alright, but Emiliano straightened up again after a few seconds. He was still flexing his hand - where the red was fading to reveal normal-coloured blotches of skin again - but the look of shocked surprise on his face had gone. "Sorry," she said again," the stood still as he took aim. Not having the tolerance for pain that Emiliano appeared to have (although there was no way Kiri could know how much her spell had hurt), she was worried what would happen if his spell didn't do what it was supposed to do.

But Kiri needn't have worried. She heard Emiliano say the spell, there was a flash bursting towards her, and then she could feel his wand slip out of her hand. Instinctively, she tried to hold on, but the magical tug was stronger. Emiliano's wand sailed through the air in his direction.

Kylie laughed off her friend, "Yeah I'm fine. Just a few bruises. No big deal!" Kylie took back her own wand with a confused expression, "Wait, are we supposed to keep going? You know.. with the whole other peoples wands thing? Cause.. if we are.. why'd you give me back my wand?" She asked, giggling, as she handed Kay back hers.
"And of course you can tell me something." Kylie said calmly.

Destiny watched as Evelyn cast the spell. But it didn't seem to work. That was odd, considering it was her own wand. She turned to Evelyn with a sad expression on her face. 'Maybe you should try it again. Use mine this time.'

Evelyn watched and waited...and waited...and- Why didn't anything happen!? Furrowing her eyebrows, she looked at her wand, confused, not hearing what Destiny had said. She didn't miss her target, she had perfect aim and she had already mastered the spell. Why didn't it work? This was...new. Now frustrated and slightly angry with herself, she pointed her wand at Destiny. "Expelliarmus."

EEEEP! Reese took a step away from Jack when he aimed his spell towards Livvy. She was still a little doubtful about using other people's wands, but she did just witness Livvy use Jack's wand and it sure looked like he wasn't harmed. And, Lawson also said that he has used other wands before and they worked. Maybe it was just thinking all your life that if you used other people's wands, they wouldn't work like your own was the cause of her freaking out a little bit about using someone's wand besides her own.

But, she had to get over it, because she was going to have to do this activity.

"Oh, um, okay," she replied to Livvy. She looked down at her wand, and then handed it over to the Ravenclaw. "Take good care of it," she added. It wasn't that she didn't trust her friend, it was just she loved her wand and wasn't sure if she could live without it. "And, it's 12.5 inches Willow and Dragon Heartstring," she explained since she had heard other people explain what type of wand before handing it over to their partner. Now, Reese had her attention on Jack.

"So, I'll take Livvy's wand," the Slytherin said as she took the wand from Jack. She stood there for a few seconds before it hit her. "Wait, Jack still has his own wand. Oh...hold on," she examined the wand in her hand, then looked at the wand in Jack's hand. Whoops! She was suppose to take Jack's wand and let him keep Livvy's. Silly Reese. Handing Jack Livvy's wand, she took his own wand from him and nodded. "We all have different wands now, right?" She asked as she looked around. "Okay, I think we do, so now I think it's my turn." Indeed, it was Miss Upstead's turn.

Reese gripped Jack's wand in her hand for a moment, she was trying to overcome the fact that this wasn't her wand she was about to use magic with. "Here goes nothing," she spoke up after being quiet. She pointed the wand at Jack (since Livvy had just been aimed at previously) and took in a deep breath.

"Expelliarmus," she exclaimed.

This time the wand slipped out of Cela's hand a lot easier, as if Cela had butter on her hand or something, though it was still a slow sort of 'yoink!'. LouAnn's wand spun directly up in the air and Cela tipped her head back to watch its progress in astonishment, having to duck out of the way so it didn't poke her in the eye or something.

She picked the wand up and eyed it and then her own and then looked at LouAnn.

"Again?" She suggested tentatively.

Destiny was staring at the Hufflepuff wondering why the spell hadn't work. Maybe Evelyn's aim was off just a bit or the Huffie mentally blocked it like Professor Lawson said. She was deep in thought when the wand she was holding flew out of her hands. She looked around the room to see who had caused it when she saw Evelyn pointing the wand at her. 'Oh. Didn't expect that!' She ran to where the wand landed and picked it up and pointed it to Evelyn 'Expelliarmus!'

Kay took back her wand and waved it in the air. She smiled as she looked at the two Slytherin. "Sorry, Kylie but I thought my sheilding charm would work better if I had my own wand." Kay said turning Kylie to look at the two girls. "They were going to get you when your back was turned." Kay said giving Kylie her wicked little smile. "Thanks about listening and I hope you don't get mad about it. But, I don't trust Alexandra and I think she going to get Lorcan really hurt one of these times." Kay said watching to see how Kylie would react to this.

Kay turned and smiled a wicked little smile at the two girls. She laughed and turned back to Kylie. Kay would put the shield down until she know class was over. She would be having a talk with her friend Marie about her to Slytherin classmate. "Sorry." Kay said and tapped her wand in her hand.

" I disagree with that also professor" said Alex raising her hand." You may have a wand for yourself, but you may also use a borrwed on, the spell may not be as strong but it should work". " Your wand that is chosen is very powerful, using others will make a difference but it doesn't ban you from using spells" she said putting her hand down.

Evelyn watched as the other Hufflepuff turned to them and smiled slightly...evilly? What? 'Noooo...she did not...put a shield up. I didn't even see her do that!' Evelyn had to hand it to the Hufflepuff, she so was not expecting that to happen. Not even caring that her wand flew out from her hand, she narrowed her eyes at the Huffie. "What's your name?" she called out, walking over to her wand without taking her eyes off of the girl.

Picking up the wand, she went back over to Destiny and leaned closer to whisper in her ear. "New target. That one." she pointed out the girl that blocked her disarming spell. "From now, until the end of the year." Because Evelyn took that little wicked smile as a challenge...

Lawson stood by his desk and watched the activity going on around the classroom and he was impressed that most of the students were doing a good job but of course there had to be those few who just had to push the boundaries.

"Mr Upstead and Mr Pryce come up to the front of the class please." Marcus turned and looked at the two Slytherins who thought it was fun to pick on others. "Also Miss Flores and Miss Shepard both of you up to the front as well. Being hit with five stunners has not effected my eyesight in anyway." But it had certainly put him in a grumpy mood.

"Crap!" Jake blurted out loudly as he and Tibi were called up to the front along with WTF that Slytherin pair. Giving the girls a glare as though this was their fault, Jake muttered about how he KNEW ducking under the table would have been a better idea.

Slowly, Jake dragged his feet up to the front, determined to deny that he even had a wand on him. Heck, he'd deny the existance of magic to get out of this. What was Lawson gonna doooo?

Uhoh.

Busted.

Tibi looked at Lawson, and then back at Jake, and then up at Lawson. Sighing, his shoulders drooped and he began to shuffle up to the front, barely lifting his feet any as he walked. He still held his wand tightly in his hand.

Reaching the front of the room, Tibi kept his eyes on his shoelaces. He could tell Lawson wasn't happy and, more than he didn't want to give up his wand, he didn't want to upset Lawson.

"Yes, professor?" He offered, wondering if maybe... just maybe they weren't in trouble and it was just a coincidence?

Haha. Right.

Kay looked over her shoulder at Evelyn. "Oh, Evelyn you know me. I'm Kay, Marie's friend. I don't care if you have a little bit of fun, but not when it comes to my wand or my friends. When we have our own wands back I'm sure Kylie would take you on. But for the rest of this class the sheild will stay up." Kay said smiling at the two girls. Kay drew her magic around her and felt it surrounding both her and Kylie. "I hope you understand, but I know you wouldn't want Destiny to loss your wand." Kay said point her holly at Destiny.

So that was why Evelyn's spell didn't work. 'New target from now until graduation..' Destiny corrected Evelyn. But then she heard her named called..

Crud, being called Miss Shepard is bad. Destiny is in soo much trouble. What was he talking about five stunners? She was going to ask him but it might not be a good idea right now. Taking a deep breath, Destiny walked up to the professor, 'Ugh, yes professor?'
