Jack's eyes scrunched up as he saw her lift her wand hand, and he prepared for the worst. All he could picture in his head right now were horrible HORRIBLE outcomes--like an eyeball popping out of his head or all of his hair burning off. EEP! His poor hairrrr!

He heard her say the incantation, and he let out a sigh of relief and opened his eyes when he felt her wand fall out of his hand without flying across the room or blowing his fingers off first. That wasn't that bad at all! As he looked around the room, he realized just how lucky they were...some other people, like RAFE HIS KEEPER looked like they were dying. That wasn't good! Especially when he needed Rafe for Quidditch!

"Wow," he muttered under his breath as Lawson fussed over them. He shook his head as Reese wandered over, and he grinned. "Of course you can join!" he told her. He looked over at Livvy and suddenly realized that it was his turn. Ok...hopefully he wouldn't floor her like poor ole' Rafe over there.

He pointed his hand at his own wand that sat in her hand and exclaimed "Expelliarmus!" keeping his voice somewhat low so that the spell wouldn't be a strong as it could have been. He was a little scared of Livvy's wand, which still felt like a stick in his hand rather than a wand.

The effect of the spell was oddly sluggish and heavy and Cela watched curiously as LouAnn's wand tugged itself out of her hand as if it were moving through mud. It sort of floated up in the air as if it had been hit by an unseen impedimenta and Cela made a grab for it.

Weeeeeiiiiiird.

Solemnly Celandine gestured for LouAnn to try again. It had worked, sort of, but almost reluctantly. Though whether the reluctance was from the wand being cast with or the wand being cast on, or of LouAnn herself, Cela had noooooooooooooo idea.

Looking between the two students Lawson shook his head, "I really don't that it's possible. As of right now, your wand belongs to Tori, she has taken possession of it so its allegiance is with her now. Now either you didn't cast properly with Tori's wand. Or Tori has somehow subconsciously blocked with your wand." Marcus, thought that it could be possible but highly unlikely for a first year.

"Just take quick short breaths mate. If you have broken something you're only going to be in more pain by taking deep breaths."

Marcus nodded his head at the young girl, "If Lorcan thinks he needs the hospital wing then you may take him up there."




"I thought as much. Concentrate and keep your focus and Kylie's wand should work as well for you as your own does. You may try again Kay." Marcus stepped back so that he could watch her cast.

Here he is again, in search for a partner. Cedric always found himself finding a partner all over their classroom whenever their Professors planned group or partnering activities. Maybe people think he is aloof but he is not, truly. Walking around the classroom impatiently, Cedric blurted out, "Anyone in need of a partner?"

Group or partnering activities are really fun so as their every lesson of Defense Against the Dark Arts. He enjoyed practicing his dueling skills with their Professor Lawson and Celandine, and now he can use of what he had learned from them.

Rafe looked at Lawson extremely confused. "But, that's like really advance magic to do spells with your mind?!? And wait! She is the master of my wand, but I gave it to her, she didn't defeat me with it. I defeated...myself?...with her wand." Rafe went over and picked up her maple wand once more. "So, my wand will never work for me properly again?" Rafe hoped not he was really attached to his wand. It had a very sentimental value, he didn't think it would truly show allegiance to Tori willingly.

Still without a partner Marie had been sitting there watching as everyone was using their partners wand to perform the disarming spell.
"Does anyone need a partner? I will work with you if you do." Marie called out hoping that she would be able to find someone to work with.

Kay smiled at the Professor and stood back from him. "OK, are you ready Kylie?" Kay asked as she pointed the wand at her. Kay center her magic and felt it going down her arm to the wand. "EXPELLIARMUS!" Kay said stepping toward her. The light shot from the end of the wand and hit Kylie with some force. Kay saw the wand fly out of Kylie hand and hoped that she didn't hurt Kylie.

Marie heard someone else looking for a partner so she went over to him. He looked a little older than her but she didn't care, she needed someone to work with.
"Hi, I'm Marie, I still need a partner, want to work together?"

Lorcan was starting to feel dizzy, his ears were buzzing with panic now. He looked at Professor Lawson and whispered, "She likes, putting me, in there sir." He threw a dirty look at Lexi. Her filthy temper had caused him to be hurt, yet again. If she had hurt him, he wouldn't have re-acted like that at all. She really could be a cow sometimes.

Lexi nodded at Professor Lawson and then asked, "Do we need to see you later for the homework if we don't make it back before class ends?" She really hated to miss DADA. It was her favorite class by far, but Lorcan most likely had a broken rib... or two... and seeing as it was her fault she had to go with him, no doubt about it.

Lexi looked abashed and said, in her defense, "It's not like I do it on purpose, sir. It is always accidental, I swear." She had yet again turned beet red and looked at Lorcan with the same glare that he was giving her. Gah! She really didn't do it on purpose! Last time he turned her hair pink and she tripped him, the fact that he fell and sprained his wrist wasn't her fault.

Kay over heard Lorcan and she was worried. She didn't think he would want her help but she still care what happen to him. She watched and then thought she should turn back to Kylie before he got mad at her. She didn't want him to think she as butting in. Kay turned back to Kylie and asked if she was ok.

"Sure." Carter said readying himself. He looked over and saw Tori's spell knock Rafe into the wall. He wanted to go check on them, but it seems Professor Lawson beat him to it. Hopefully that wouldn't happen to him. "You ready?" he asked.

The way Destiny said 'this wand' must've came out so wrong. 'I didn't mean something was wrong with it. Its just.. Nevermind.' She didn't want to say she didn't like the wand but she really didn't like it. It just wasn't her own.

'Yep Cherry Wood. It must be the most boring wood ever.' Basically anything to do with healing was boring to Destiny. Her wand definitely pointed to a healer, unless she 'accidentally' broke it? But that would have to wait until after term was over. Bad Destiny.
She leaned against the desk and thought of ways to break her wand while waiting for the next thing to do.

Mina nodded as she prepared herself. She knew nothing bad was going to happen, but she was a bit nervous none the less. Taking a deep breath, she nodded again. "Okay, try your best." Gripping his wand tightly, she waited. [i]Nothing bad will happy, relax silly girl.[/b]

"Alright." Carter said. He aimed and then yelled, "Expelliarmus!" He then watched and waited to see what would happen next.

"Okay that's enough the both of you. I am sure it was an accident Lorcan" he gave the boy a stern look before turning to Alexandra. "Take him to the hospital wing and then come straight back. I don't think he needs you to hang around and wait especially if you are both going to be at each other's throats. And it might be a good idea if you two don't partner up again."

Lawson made an exasperated sound and made his way back to the front of the class. "Okay let me reiterate on what I said earlier. You should have absolutely no problems whatsoever using a borrowed wand. You were all witches and wizards before you purchased your wands correct? The magic comes from you. Your wand is merely the vessel on which to carry out a spell. Taking the wand from your partner has allowed the wand's allegiance to pass to you until your partner takes their wand back. You don't need to defeat your partner to take a wand's allegiance so long as you physically remove the wand from your partners hand. Like I said before a wand lying on the ground will not work because you did not take it from someone."

Taking a deep breath he looked around the room at each of the students, "Now I will give you a little longer to keep practicing and then we shall move on."

Evelyn half listened to what Destiny said, waving it off as nothing. Wow, she was getting really moody without her wand. Watching the Professor go back up to the front of the class, she listened to what he said, sighing grumpily when he said they would be practicing even longer.

Lazily turning her head to the side so she was looking at Destiny, missing what the Slytherin said about Cherry wood, Evelyn suddenly smiled mischievously. "Wanna practice on other people?" she whispered so no one but Destiny could hear.

Mina stood her ground as she saw Carter cast the spell. With both feet firmly on the ground and his wand in her right hand, she watched as the spell came toward her. It was only moments before it it her right hand. Feeling a tingling sensation, she felt the wand start to move from her hand. Tightening her grip, she held tight. The tingling feeling was starting to intensify slightly and her grip was starting to weaken.

I can hold on, I know I can

Just as she thought she could hold on, the tingling sensation encompassed her hand and the wand flew from her hand. Blinking quickly, she looked at her hand and then at where his wand flew. Smiling at Carter, she shrugged. "What was interesting. But you did it. Good job." she smiled brightly.

Swap Wands? What?! Interesting...
Emiliano listened to the class, may have taken a few notes a long, yet gulped at the mention of such crazy thing to do. He looked around as his classmates begining to exchange their wands for a moment or so and practice a disarming spell, some of them working, some of them causing a bit of havoc among the crowd. Sigh. Wonder what his might do if...

Anyone in need of a partner? He called out. He was still without a partner? Ehem...yeah, he had been a bit distracted, watching...thinking a lot.

Destiny was just going to ask to Evelyn if she wanted to practice on each other again, but it seemed like Evelyn had other plans. Last time they had an evil plan like this was in Transfiguration with the exploding pieces of wood. They didn't get caught that time, so perhaps they wouldn't get caught this time. 'I like the way you think,' she smiled and looked around the room, 'So who will be our victims?' Maybe they should swap wands, or maybe it would be better this way. Hmmm.

Kay's wand flew out of Kylie's hand as Kylie was shoved backwards a few feet, she fell to the floor and was sore from the fall.. but nothing more. She quickly checked herself over, finding nothing more than a few bruises, she gave a thumbs up to Kay. "Really nice job, Kay!" She brushed herself off a tad and went to fetch Kay's wand. She walked back up to her friend, hoping they could switch back wands again after successfully completing the exercise.
"That was really good!" Kylie practically squealed, she was so proud of her friend.

"Hmmm..." she hummed, looking around the room. Oo, Gryffindors. They were always nice victims. Was a good thing that Josh wasn't here today too. 'Where is he anyway?' Shrugging her shoulders slightly, Evelyn pointed out a Gryffindor boy before her attention was diverted to an extremely happy Hufflepuff she didn't know. "Her." she whispered pointing at the Hufflepuff (Kylie) and lowered her arm so it wasn't so obvious that she was pointing at somebody. "Would you like to do the honors?"

Destiny followed Evelyn's arm to who she pointed at. First a Gryffindor and then the Hufflepuff. Yeah the Huffie was an easier target. 'You know I think you should do it this time. I had the honors of Transfiguration, you can have fun this time.' She held out Evelyn's wand, 'Maybe you should use this. It'll be better.'

They had to swap wands?......noooo! Lyra didn't want anyone to use her own special wand! No, no , no one was going to use it!.

She stubbornly leaned back in her chair and crossed her arms over each other. She looked at the other students as they began to partner up and noticed two Slytherin looking at a Hufflepuff girl. Lyra grinned but decided not to say anything. If she said anything they would loose points and Slytherin was in the lead in the housepoints so she was going to keep her mouth shut and pretended not to see it. Talking about housepoints, the realisation that they were on the first place made her think other wise about the class and truth was she didn't want to loose points herself.

With a heavy sigh, Lyra stood up from her chair and shouted, "Partner?! anyone having no partner?!" ......why did she had the feeling she was on a busy market?

"Alright." she mumbled, the small mischievous smile still playing on her lips as she took her wand back and handed Destiny's wand back to her. Closing her eyes for a moment and taking a deep breathe, she felt much much MUCH better now that she had her wand back. Smirking, she moved so it would look like she was aiming for Destiny before slightly pointing her wand towards the Hufflepuff girl (Kylie).

The good thing about using her own wand was she didn't have to work as hard to get the spell right, or say the incantation as loudly. "Expelliarmus." Evelyn muttered, watching as the light flew from her wand towards the Hufflepuff before Evelyn turned and leaned against the desk again, watching to see what happens. Reluctantly, she handed her wand back to Destiny. Didn't want the professor to think something was up or anything...
