"I've always heard that light or fire is the trick to bringing down a vampire, as they can handle neither one. Lumos, or really any of the light spells we talking about before would probably work. Fire spells would, too."

"The conjunctivitus curse causes extreme pain in the eyes. That would probably distract them enough to get away. They also couldn't use their eyes then or concentrate on getting you to do what they want you to do." Zoe said after raising her hand. She would have to learn that one when she got the chance. How do you practice that one though, without finding a willing subject.

Raising her hand slowly, Mina volunteered an answer. "What about basic spells to just help you get away, like stupefy. You then could get away. Or rictusempra, if distracted, one could get away, right and live to perhaps fight another day?" There she went rambling again. Nerves, yes it was just nerves.
She did have an idea of a spell that could work but it was still considered dark magic and she was quite fearful of voicing it to the class. What would they think of her if she did? Blinking, she looked around and thought to just throw caution to the wind, raising her hand. "It's considered dark magic, but would sectumsempra work? Vampires are dark creatures so wouldn't dark magic work against them as well?" | |

4. Write a foot long essay (3-4 paragraphs) on what you know about werewolves.

Class finished? Already? Sooooo fast. Awwww... that was too bad. Livvy was actually having fun writing down notes and answering questions. Even though she wished to be more active, it had been a fun today and it seemed like the class had gone by too fast. Livvy quickly jotted down the homework, gathered her papers and books and shoved them in her book bag. "Thanks for the great lesson. It was fun. Have a good day!" she said happily and waved at him as she walked out the door.

Tavelon was about to point out that the full body bind wouldn't work, because it still leaves the vampire with it's eyes, where it derives it's magic. Normal Jake was back and as soon as the lesson was dismissed the boy blinked in obvious confusion. What had happened? Had he really missed a WHOLE lesson? Guh, he'd have to fine someone and steal their notes. Grabbing his own bag and completely missing the homework that was up on the board, Jake quickly left without another word.
