Alexandra continued to bounce about in her seat. She was super excited about the Imps. She had never been exposed to anything of the sort and was anxious to see the little buggers. |
Yeah Nikki wasn't going anywhere. She wanted to see those Imps up close. Well, as close as she could get. Wait, hadn't she seen some imps in the sanctuary when she was cleaning out the kneazles cage? Oh well who cared, she'd get to see them now. Sitting there patiently just wasn't easy. Nikki had a feeling of just jumping up and running into the sanctuary to see the imps. Urgh, what was taking so long! |
Jack got enough people playing pranks on him--those suits of armour in the hallways, in particular, were QUITE nasty to him on occassion, and he definitely did not need to see the Imps and open up more opportunities for even MORE humiliation. Jack wouldn't leave the class however--cause then he'd miss the homework and he'd have to get it from someone later and...yeah. Lazy Jack would definitely procrastinate on that one and miss it completely. Plus, it might be fun to see what they did to OTHER people....and if the Imps somehow managed to injure a Hufflepuff Quidditch player, he would NOT be complaining Without a word, he grabbed his things and moved back a couple of rows. He would be niceeee and safe back here. |
Mina looked around as she thought about whether or not she would stay. Imps really didn't frighten her, but did she really want to stay and be a victim of their pranks? It's not like I haven't been a victim before. She did gave as good as she got. This could turn out to be quite fun as well, she was in a playful mood for some reason. Maybe this was just what she need. Leaning back in her seat, she waited for the fun to begin. |
Kay sat up a little taller so she would have a better look at the Imps. She wasn't sure what the Professor had in store for them but she couldn't wait. Kay looked thought her book while she wait for the return of the Professor. |
Well, Destiny wasn't going to leave. She was going to face these Imp-py things. Yes she was, but first she needed protection. She scooted ever so slightly closer to Evelyn. 'She will protect me.' |
Celandine watched professor Morgan go and fetch the imps and she turned her wand on herself and cast an Impervius charm. Yupyupyup. Be prepared. "Would anyone like me to cast Impervius on their clothes and hair and stuff so they don't get all icked up by Imps?" Cela offered, quite cheerfully directing her attention to the younger students who wouldn't have learned the Impervius charm yet. She scooted to the front, quite eager for the lesson. |

"Yeah, that sounds good." Carter said to Celandine. "Thanks." |

Evelyn was acting funny. Not funny in a good way but funny in a weird way. It reminded Destiny of something but she just couldn't figure it out. 'Okay, okay.' she said so Evelyn would stop poking her. Now what was that girls name? 'Sure you can impervius me too. What do you mean by getting icky?' Are they going to be disgusting little creatures that are bad and will attack Destiny? Because if so, she was soooo outta there. Destiny turned to face Evelyn, maybe she knew about Imps, but she was just so happy. 'Oh no, you didn't touch a paper from Professor Kazi did you? If you start levitating again, I won't be able to pull you down.' And then Evelyn would be like a lost balloon, flying away. |

"Oh yeah that sounds like a great idea, I'm in. Thanks for offering." Marie didn't want anything messing up her clothes or her hair today. She remembered the last class and how messy it got. 'Nope, don't want a replay of that one.' Quote:

Around her, several of the girls tied their hair back. Kiri ran her fingers through her own uncertainly. It wasn't exactly short, but it was just at the length where tying it into a ponytail would be of little use. She settled for tucking it back behind her ears. That worked for about two seconds; when Kiri moved her head, it just fell back into her face again. Oh, well. She'd be careful. Being cautionary was a good general principle to follow in Care of Magical Creatures. |

Imps. They were going to meet the imps. Eeeeeeep. They were the ones who were all fuzzy with hair and stuff, right? Or maybe they had none? Miranda scrunched her brow and flipped in her book for a picture of the creatures. Ooooh. She grinned. They looked allright. Just, aslong as they didn't trip you or anything. Her smile faltered. Ohmygosh, what if they tripped yoy! QUIDDITCH! Looking around herself, she saw some students sitting there were they were and some...like the GryffiePryffie captain walked to the back. Miranda watched him with narrowed eyes, like he would do something suspicious. Naaaah, that boy didn't look like he had much muscle on him. Quote:
"Meeee, meee, here! Pleaaaaaaaaseeeee!" she was getting nervous about this whole Imp thing. The Huffie team had a match to play in a couple of days, there was noo room for disaster. Well, there could be for the Gryffindor team, sure. Concentrate! Meanie. |
Imps up close? Kinda cool! Becca thought as she watched the Professor walk away. She was going to stay so she could see one fo those playful pranksters up close. Becca was fairly used to being tricked, and had gotten the hang of most everything her four older brothers threw at her. Becca stretched out before returning to her original cross legged position and began to read more from the textbook. Imps would be fun! |
Fyo looked up as Professor Morgan walked off, and his eyes were bright. Sure, Imps could be a leeetle beeeet impish, but he wanted to see them. Yes, up CLOSE. He saw Jack head to the back, and smiled to himself. Imps were... devilish little things. |
When Professor Morgan reappeared, her arms were full. Barely able to see over the large wire cage she was carrying; Iliana sidled her way back up to the front and gently sat it on the ground beside her stool. "Whew!" she said, thankful that she hadn't dropped the little glass tank she had balanced on top. Life without her wand was getting so old. She set the tank aside and opened the little door on the top of the cage. Reaching in, she pulled Twinke out and held her in her hand. After a kind word and a loving stroke, she returned her attention to the students and said, "This is an Imp." She held out her hand, palm up, so that everyone could see. "Obviously the cage is full of them." Someone would have to be seriously hard of hearing not notice the little sounds they were making. "Can anyone guess what's in the tank?" she asked. |

If this Imp was being quiet, it was because it was planning something. Kiri tucked her hair back again carefully. Of course, maybe it was just enjoying the view given by its high vantage point, but Kiri couldn't help but notice its sly face and alert eyes. She turned her attention to the tank. "Maybe... something to eat?" she ventured. What kind of food did Imps eat? |

And the tank... WHAT was in the tank? Uhm. Miranda raised her hand, "A little swamp...or..." OhmygoshEW. "Professor is that thing full of insects?" Shudder. |
"Very good girls, yes. The tank is full of all sorts of live insects." The professor beamed at them and then reached into the tank and pulled out a tiny little bug. Offering it to Twinke, the Imp reached out greedily and gobbled the thing up. As soon as the treat was swallowed, the Imp jumped from the professor's hand and darted towards the young Slytherin. She eyed the girl eagerly for just a moment and then tied Kiri's shoes together. Tittering in a high-pitched giggle, the creature sprang back up onto the professor's lap and scanned the crowd, searching out her next victim. Iliana shook her head at the smallish thing and then gave Kiri an apologetic smile. "Sorry, hun," she said. "I should have warned you. You see what Imps crave most is human attention. They're lonely little creatures that often use their jokes and pranks as a means of attracting human friendship. The problem is WE seldom like it and their attempts usually backfire as a result." Poor little things. "Just remember, while Imps are wild and somewhat uncontrollable, they are NOT harmful. So try not to be afraid." "Now, who would like to volunteer to come up and feed one of the other Imps? There's no telling what it might do to entertain YOU." OOC: For this part of the class, I'd like each of you to come to the front and feed an Imp. Then RP your Imp playing a NICE prank or practical joke on one of your fellow classmates. This is supposed to be fun so keep it within reason. Points awarded for creativity. |

The taaaannkk? "Insects?" Fyo suggested, hand in air. "That's what the average Imp's diet is, isn't it, professor? So it would... make sense." He had read Imps tended to trap unwary, little creatures. NOT nice. Buttt, oh welllll. |

It was almost unnaturally fast. Kiri could barely register it running towards her... There was a tug on her shoes, a mischievous giggle, and then the Imp was darting back across the ground in the professor's direction. "Hey!" Kiri looked down. Her shoes were tied together, and it wasn't the neat sort of knot. It was more of a collection of knots, the kind that took ages to undo and made the person undoing them wish for a pair of scissors. Kiri glared at the Imp, but that only seemed to encourage it. It smirked. Professor Morgan was talking again now. Kiri glanced up from her shoes and listened. Friendship, hmm? "It's, er, no problem," she said, and stuck out her tongue at the Imp. She wasn't about to volunteer feeding it! Keeping a watchful eye on the little creature, Kiri began trying to undo the complex knot so she'd not be forced to hop everywhere. |

So instead, LouAnn approached the tank fully prepared to school the Imps on the joys of a Cockroach Cluster. "Hello, Imps! My name's LouAnn Purple, and well...look, we gotta talk. You see, there's such a thing called gross and disgusting, and I do believe feeding on those things right there falls under that category," she said, stopping to pull a Cockroach Cluster out her pocket. "This...is a Cockroach Cluster, fully equipped with a real, live cockroach just baked inside! Okay, so...what you do is just peel the wrapper back like so...then just pop the candy on into your mouth!" LouAnn popped the candy into her mouth, crunched for a bit, then turned back to the Imps. "You, though, are going to feed on...hmm..." LouAnn stopped and reached far into the tank, her hand coming out filled with little, itty, bitty pieces of grossness. "...this." She tossed a few into the air in the direction of the Imps. Whaa? Surely she wasn't expected to spoon feed them! Merlin! Now to scout out someone to receive a good ole practical joke... |
Ewe, touching bugs She slowly amde her way to thefront and put on her dragon hide gloves and waited her turn. When she was up she hesitently dipped her hand into bucket of bugs and grabbed one and handed it to an imp. It gobbled it up happilly and then raced toward h what she could be her freind Fyo and took some rope and tied his hands behind his back. She chucckled and walked over to Fyo and asked, "Would you like some help with that?.". |
