... She stifled a yawn as she watched the last of the students leave for the castle. It had been a loooooooong night indeed. With a tired little sigh, she walked over to Constantine and sat down beside him. "Help me with the blankets?" she asked quietly. |
Geeeeez, Iliana was a scary woman when angered. Well, she wasn't THAT scary...so long as it wasn't directed at him. "Sure," he smiled, getting up from his own blanket and then pulling it up into his arms. He then proceeded to mill about and pick up any forgotten ones. "Look," he started quietly, "I'm sorry about your wand...I didn't mean to lose it...it was in my pocket! But then..it just wasn't there anymore. So...I dunno," he shrugged, picking up another blanket. |
Iliana smiled at Neo and sighed. "Thanks for helping. You really didn't have to, you know," she said, reaching down to collect the blankets nearest her. When she stood back up, she shrugged off what he said about her wand and said, "Its fine, Neo. I'm not mad. Really! After turning you into a niffler, I probably had this coming." Then the blushing started and Iliana suddenly became VERY interested in her boots. Having never really apologized, she still felt ashamed whenever Neo was around. It was time to make it right. "You know... I'm sorry too," she said, lifting her eyes from the ground. "Friends?" she asked softly, hoping they could wipe the slate clean. |
Constantine continued to help pick up the strewn blankets, wondering where Iliana was going with this conversation. He paused to look at her, listening to her, cracking a smile as she apologized for the niffler incident. "Friends," he nodded, smiling gently. "You know," he started, returning to picking up the blankets, "Being a niffler isn't that bad..." |
