LouAnn leaned forward and studied the wrist holster for a few seconds before replying. She'd never seen---or heard---of anything like a wrist holster before. "Oh, a wrist holster? That's really cool," she commented. "So does it work a lot better than just simply tossing your wand into a part of your robes? I've just always...you know..." With her right hand, she reached sideways and pulled her wand out of one of the left pockets in her robes. "...done this."
She shrugged then shoved her wand back into her robes. "I'll have to check out that holster idea, though," she said. She stopped to look around the room, then nodded when Cope said the place was filling up fast. Who'd have ever thought that studying would be this popular?

Nataly was wandering on the ground floor, looking for a spot to study History of Magic without interruption. She got a barely acceptable mark for the homework, and that wasn't good. Especially because she wasn't bad at it.
She came across a deserted classroom. It had the number 11 on the door. That must be classroom eleven, the unused one. she thought, and entered.

Lyra sneezed again and held her tissue in front of her nose. She placed her book down for a second when she heard the door open again. Looking up from the place she was sitting she noticed someone familiar enter the unused classroom. Lyra smiled , stood up from her chair and waved with her arms to get her attention. "Nataly! over here!" she said and sat down on her chair again.

The moment Nataly entered the unused classroom, she noticed there were many other students there, and everyone was studying. What? she thought in shock. Did they move the study arena from the library to classroom eleven?
She heared Lyra's voice calling for her, and noticed the girl sat in the back of the classroom with a tissue in her hand. Nataly went there and sat by her. "Why is everyone studying here? I went to study History of Magic here. I thought the abandoned classroom will be empty!" she said, confused.

Lyra smiled broadly when the girl walked up to her. She nodded her head once and was just about to say something when she sneezed in her tissue again. "Ah , i'm sorry" she said and looked the other way quickly. After a few seconds, when she knew that no other sneez attack would come she turned around to face Nataly again. "i thought this classroom would be abandoned too, i guess its better to have more students in a room that are studying. If you dont get something we can help each other out right?" she said and looked at the students reading their school books or talking silently with each other.
Lyra gasped and grabbed her bag, she opened it and pulled out two chocolate frogs. "here" she said and gave one to Nataly. "don't worry its still wrapped in its package so you won't catch my my..." she felt a sneeze coming up and she quickly dropped the chocolate frog on the table and looked the other way while pressing her tissue against her nose. Theo wanted somewhere quiet to read his astronomy book. He wanted to prepare for his OWLs, even if it was a year away. He had to teach himself.
Lasca looked up from her Arithmancy book long enough to notice how many people had crammed themselves into this one classroom. Scanning the crowd she noticed a Slytherin boy who looked about her age and he looked just as determined to study as she herself was. She waved to him and gave a small smile. She wasn't quite sure how the whole study session thing was supposed to work anyway. It just seemed like everyone present was more intent on conversing and socializing then in studying.
Well what could she do but join in with the crowd, for the time being. And the only person who seemed to not be pre-occupied with other people was the Slytherin boy. Again she tried to catch his eye, and deep down hoped that he was a little socialable.

She followed a lad in, and was pleasantly surprised to see Torin there. Now that was a shock.
"Hey guys." She spoke, although she felt that she was a little lad, before she sat down next to Torin (Or lets say squeezed herself next to him if anyone was already there.)
Reese, just like before, placed her finger on the place she had stopped reading at in her book before looking back at Torin. "I'm not going to pinch you," she stated. "I'm not here to bicker with you, Torin. I came here to try and study Ancient Runes in just a little group of people." Saying that, she glanced around the room that was filling up now with students. "Okay, let's make that a big group of people," she quickly added.
Hearing someone whispering to her, she turned her attention to this Ravenclaw girl that she has seen many times before, but has never actually engaged in a conversation with. "No, I don't understand this book," she sadly answered. "Yes, you're right. I don't understand Runes and..." honestly, I don't even WANT to study Runes right now. But, she knew this was the perfect time to get help with her studies if she really needed it - which she did. "I like that idea. Maybe we can understand this stuff if we work together," she replied with a smile.
Just as she was about to introduce herself to the Ravenclaw girl, she was almost pushed off the side of the bench by someone. What the heck?! She stood up from the very corner of the bench and glared looked at Brody. "Excuse you?" She spoke, but that's all she said since she didn't really want to fight with that Hufflepuff. Plus, whatever happened to her WANTING to be friends with that girl? Guess that's never going to happen. Brushing some of her hair out of her eyes, she marched over to the other side of the table and sat across from Torin.
"You can come sit right here," she told the Ravenclaw girl as she patted the area on the bench next to her.

Alex giggled. "Yes you will, that is one advantage with having a birthday on a holiday. You can tell people it is your birthday, and they can't forget!" She said grinning at him, as she looked around. People weren't doing much studying, but who could blame them really? "You miss it? Really? It is okay, though it's sad to know that I have hit the half way mark.. I will miss Hogwarts when I am gone." She said with a nod.
"Well, good luck with that," he said with a wink. He wondered if Brody would be friends with her if he introduced them. It might be worth a try.
"Yep, but then you don't have a day that's just special for being your birthday and nothing else," he reflected. Yes, he definitely preferred his birthday; he was selfish and only wanted to share it with his sister. "And I miss it 'cause I didn't have to study for OWLs."

"Well, I've managed to annoy Dominic Denton even more about my shoes then before, I kinda think Professor Lupa figured out I'm not exactly fond of her class, and I'm seriously thinking some people are going insane. But other than that, I'm good." At least, if she didn't have to deal with Phoebus acting like she had the plague or something, when he wasn't going behind Riley's back and talking to her. That was all just bizarre, and she still hadn't figured out what had happened with Chloe. So she couldn't ask her about it.
She sat back, pulling her Runes textbook out to try and make heads or tails out of the subject, as more people came over and started talking to Torin. At least she could theoretically annoy Phoebus to help her with Potions. She had yet to discover someone who seemed to understand Ancient Runes, but unlike her personal decision to drop Astronomy until Borr wasn't teaching it, she wasn't about to drop Runes. So she was left to struggle through on her own.

He was looking at her blankly as she started talking to him about things that he didn't really understand. What was she talking about?
Giving her a confused look, he asked her, "um, what? I don't follow you."

It seemed that she wasn't too happy that Brody wormed her way in between them. "Isn't Brody cute or what?" He asked her with a smile on his face. He wasn't saying this to annoy her, he was being serious. Brody was way too adorable.
No one seemed inclined to answer her, to her annoyance, but Kiri's brain was sluggishly picking up speed. This looked like some sort of giant study session. A second one? she wondered, walking over to one of the desks and sitting down. She'd have thought that the one in the Library would have sufficed.
She didn't actually have any homework to do, nor any revising as she was not preparing for OWLs or NEWTs, but nonetheless, she opened her bag and extracted a notebook and a quill. After checking the notebook to make sure she hadn't accidentally forgotten about something (which she hadn't), she began doodling away on the parchment, not sure of what to do. Just walking out again seemed a little odd. So maybe someone else without anything to do was available to chat? She would even, she decided, help someone with their homework. If someone needed help from a fourth-year, that is. Most of the students here looked older.
Yawning again, Kiri pulled out her wand and started tapping it against the parchment. The little stick figures she'd drawn began moving. With every tap of her wand, they changed colours.
Even as he read his book, staring intently at the words, Jake's mind wandered far away from wandlore. It didn't matter that this book was hard to read; he'd acquired near enough every book on wandlore that there was.
"The big ship sailed on the Ally Ally-oh, the Ally Ally-oh, the Ally Ally-oh. The big ship sailed on the Ally Ally-oh, on the last day of september..." he sang to himself, trying to keep his voice quiet. If anyone ever found out he had a choir-boy type singing voice, he'd be done for.
It was... actually very odd that he could sing, given his problems and whatnot. But ahh well. Jake continued the song, and kept reading.

Was it too late to join operation get Torin away from Brody? Hmm. Reese was going to have to ask Shana that question next time she saw the girl. She grabbed her book and slid it over to where she was, but as she was about to read, Torin asked her a question. Her brown eyes just stared at the Hufflepuff for the longest without saying anything. Nope, she wasn't going to reply to that question.
Her eyes shifted over to Jake in the back of the room and she had this brilliant idea just to go sit next to him, but she couldn't just walk away from the Ravenclaw girl. Instead, she looked back down at her Ancient Runes book.

Great, she actually was rather bothered by this. He watched her as she shifted over and he knew that she wanted to move seats. "Reese, it wasn't anything personal. She just wanted to sit beside me." He shrugged at her and hoped that she would get over that now.

LouAnn nodded slowly, showing she followed Cope's explanation about wand holsters and the how they gave you an opportunity to have you wand always at your fingertips. "Ahh, I see. That does make more sense. You'll have to show me where to buy one of those at," she said, glancing down at her pocket and suddenly frowning at her own method of storing her wand.
She watched as he demonstrated the procedure over and over, showcasing how with just a simple movement, the wand was pointed and ready to go. "That's really cool, Coper---..." Her words faded away at the last flick of his wand. A change came over her...a change unlike anything she'd ever experienced before. "Yes," she said, answering his question about whether or not she saw the benefits of his demonstrations. She said no more, but instead continued to look at him almost as if she were waiting for him to tell her something---anything. How to move, how to think, maybe even how to blink.

Copernicus gave her a warm smile, as if he wanted to pat her little curly head because she was being such a very good girl. "Sit." He pointed at the seat behind her.

Had it not been for the slight, second-long movement of her head---a tilt which continued to indicate she was waiting for something---it might have appeared that LouAnn had completely ignored the smile Copernicus gave her. She watched him, waiting like an obedient little puppy for some sort of anything to come from his mouth. When it finally did, in one short second she'd sunk into the seat he'd pointed to. When that was done, she watched and waited some more.

Having been watching everyone carefully from where he sat at the back, (including, for a second, LouAnn, though he believed she was just having one of her episodes) Jake caught the eyes of Reese. As he made breif fleeting eye contact, Jake shook his head just a little, indicating that he didn't want her to sit by him, because he was scared he might hurt her.
So... it was good when she looked back at her book... but all the same...
Holding back a small tear by frowning and pretending to see something outside of the window, Jake watched a few birds flying outside. Guh, the were like him... they thought they were free... but they never would be, it was all just a trick.
Heaving a great sigh, Jake gave up on his book and pulled out a comic, for some reason hiding it inside the book and reading like that.
Man, he felt like a rebel.

"Helga Hufflepuff?" asked Nataly, looking at Lyra's card. She never got that one.

Copernicus glanced up at the group that had gathered in the room, looking pleased by the turn out. Funny how these things seemed to work out. You seek to be alone and the whole world finds you regardless. With a flick of his wand, Copernicus felt as if he was directing a chorus, bringing many sounds into one seamless harmony.
He waited for their eyes to track to him before speaking again. "Thank you all for coming today. You know why you are here."
Bliss. Pure bliss.
Ohhhh, it felt good. Jake had no thoughts whatsoever about going against this... best feeling in the world. His eyes glazed over for a moment and the boy leaned back again, a warm fuzzy feeling deep inside. At once, he felt a strong need to look at Copernicus, and... he did so, looking over at the boy and smiling a little.
Yes. Yes he did know why he was there.

After a few minutes of this, Kiri got bored of her moving stick figures. She put her wand back into her hip holster and the quill into her bag. The notebook followed, and she made to get up.
Except... She didn't. Her whole body seemed to tingle. It was not unlike the feelings she'd experienced last year when Raiden and her had held hands, but on another level, it was completely different. It felt more like pressure. And that pressure made her twist around in her seat and look at a boy sitting a little way away, at another table.
No no no, that was all wrong! She had obviously decided to look at him. Not only was he quite handsome, the way he was twirling his wand was very hypnotic. Maybe he could teach her?
Kiri listened to him speak. She nodded vigorously. Yes, of course she knew why she was here. Well, as soon as the boy told her, she would.
Something about that irked her... There was a link missing in that chain of logic, but at the same time, it all made perfect sense. She smiled at the boy encouragingly.

Having had her attention turned to her transfiguration textbook in front of her on the desk reading, Ainsley wasn't aware of anything weird going on until she suddenly felt a weird sense of...happiness for no better term for it. She lifted her head up to look for anything off when her eyes fell on a seventh year as if guided there by magnets. The Gryffindor listening to his words unconsciously, not aware of being controlled.
