Lucille shrieked and fell off her chair. She was silent for a moment as she lay sprawled on the floor.
Then she broke into spontaneous laughter. She knew she should be embarrased, but falling was ALWAYS funny. ALWAYS.
She was still chuckling as she picked up her chair and righted it, before sitting down and watching the hands with a rather amused expression on her face.
Hmm. so it was about what they were hearing. What was she hearing exactly?
Errr. Clap. Boom??
It was a ClapBoom spell!!

She thought a bit more rationally, absantmindandly rubbing her sore bottom from where she had fallen off the chair.
Nope, she couldn't think. Her bottom was over powering her brain cells at the moment.

Kylie quietly raised her hand. She wasn't sure if that's what you did here.. but nonetheless, she felt it was polite. She wasn't sure if they were going to learn non-verbal spells or not.. she'd heard they were tricky.. but if so, it'd just be another challenge. No big deal. Quick learning and thinking on her feet was what Kylie enjoyed.
But... is it possible that instead of non-verbal spells...they were going to learn to be invisible? Or, well... was it? He'd said nothing of what you didn't see. Only what you couldn't hear.
Riddles... Kylie had a feeling she was going to like this class.

Ian was satisfied with himself. LouAnn said nothing for quite some time, for she'd once again more or less blacked out. She was still sitting in her desk and appeared fairly normal, but there was a rather blank look on her face, causing her to seem as if she'd gotten lost somewhere deep inside herself. She came to just in time to hear the professor, a man she had yet to meet, yelling at the top of his lungs for some peculiar reason. She made a slight face at the noise, then raised her hand to answer a question she'd heard asked quite some time ago.
"Maybe we're studying non-verbal charms, such as the one you just did," she cheerfully said. The LouAnn from five seconds ago, the one with a blank look on her face and in her eyes, was long gone. LouAnn lowered her hand and glanced around the room, fully aware of what was going on around her. "Perhaps we're going to learn how to sneak around without being heard..."

She looked around the classroom. There were many familiar faces that she had seen at tryouts. "Are you.. Rafe?" Ella said slowly, "You're an excellent Quidditch player!"

Everybody was coming up with so many different charms that Bella never knew existed, well didn't remember, since she read about some of them a long time ago. well she had to agree with ella but still wasn't sure.
"I think that charm is a good answer,"she said to Ella.
but she did still agree with Sylvia too about using your minds to cast spells.

Who knew Charms class could be deadly?
Rachel looked at Professor Ashby with narrowed eyes, her ears ringing loudly and heart racing madly as tried to get herself back to normal. People were moving their mouths BUT SHE COULDN'T HEAR ANYTHING BECAUSE OF THOSE STUPID HANDS!
Hmphf. The sixth year folded her hands and was about to mourn over her hearing capabilities when she suddenly heard - EEP - Ashby's distant voice yell something or other.
And then she could hear everything again. YAYAY!
Rachel contemplated raising her hand, but she was still mad at Ashby so she kept it firmly down. Plus, her reply wouldn't be the politest thing so it was best to keep it to herself.
Tempting though...

Michelle had a great presence of mind, yet ishe almost jumped out of her skin when she heard a booming noise. She turned around to see two gloves clapping in front of her. Okay, what are we going to learn today? `Professor, you were staring at the ceiling and so were we, then you suddenly muttered these spells and craeted that noise! So... what are we going to learn today?' Chelle said. Thinking hard about what she hadn't heard, she racked her brains. Suddenly, it hit her~ `Professor, we didn't hear you saying anything! That means you didn't say it out loud! So are we going to learn non-verbal spells today?' she cried excitedly. She had read everything about non-verbal spells in her textbooks.

Bellatrix had just been sitting quietly by herself in the back, lost in thought. She had already scanned the classroom and the professor and when the majority of the class started to stare at the ceiling, Bellatrix has simply started reading her book, figuring that having a crink in her neck was simply not worth it and that she could easily figure out when she should actually start paying attention. It was at this point she heard the astronomically loud hands clapping, Bellatrix was scared out of her bloody mind but her faced remained static, the only change was a slight widening of the eyes which she quickly curtailed. She gave a sharp look towards the professor and glared at him, Was that really nessicary, she thought A, "can I have everyones attention would have sufficed. Bellatrix agreed with the students who said that they were learning non-verbal spells, It's the most obvious choice, I mean the disallusionment charm would come in handy but I doubt making hands appear out of the ceiling would productive, except for a cheap party trick. | |

This time she had done her homework, and she had studied for this lesson previously " Long time no see" she added with a wink.

Kay agreed with Sara. She just wanted to know what they were going to do in class. She hope it did have to do with any more loud noise. Her ears still hurt. "Do you think we are going to do charms to stop noise?" Kay asked Marie who was still looking around the room and the ceiling. Kay thought what Marie knew then she did, but Kay would learn fast.

Anyway, non-verbal spells is a very advanced branch of magic. I'm sure you all know that it is hard enough to pull off a spell with a word to concentrate on to activate the effects you're looking for, so when you have to be quiet, how can spells be just as powerful?"
Were they taking notes? They'd better be! "Now then, before we get into the theory behind non-verbal spells, which by the way, some of you older students may be able to try today, let's hear some theories from the class. Tell me, in what instances might non-verbal spells be useful? Don't forget to raise your hands!" "Oh, and the lesson has started now, so please do cut the chatter."
Ian pulled his wand out and pointed it toward the blackboard, ready to write down all of the suggestions people were about to give.

Non-verbal spells? Cam knew little of that kind of magic but he raised his hand anyway. "It couuuuulddd come useful if you need to use some sort of a spell and you've got a mouthful of food in yer mouthhh," he said with a fervent nod.
